-
ALRIGHTY!!!!......~Thinking~))
ELSEWHERE IN THIS WORLD THAT HAS NO NAME FOR THE MOMENT! Because honestly. There is no name. Yet. Well, no name for the kingdoms. We should do that....
Luxin always knew his luck was a tad bit....bad. But he never let it bother him, and thus, never pondered on it. Until he found that every tavern he attempted to enter, would throw him out very soon after entrance. So, the charming, good-looking ((His words, Not Mine)) 16-Year old found himself stomping through the woods, grumbling to himself. "Not even an OUNCE of ale! Nothing!" He hissed to himself, stomping along. Since all inns have taverns, he had necessarily been kicked out of those as well. This left Lux in a predicament. The dark-haired male didn't really know where he was, just that it was the middle of the woods, late at night, and not a village for a good ways. He thought, anyways. Never was good with directions, maps, and basically anything to do with finding your way. Which was fine with him! So, the 'charming' young man settled himself down in a clearing for a long night in the woods. With a few muttered words, and some time gathering wood, a nice fire sat in the middle of his little space. Luxin sat down on the ground, and leaned against his pack, gazing into the fire and day-dreaming.
-
Mordred continued to scream for help tears running down his face. " HELP ME PLEASE SOMEBODY!!!!" One of the men grabbed the child by the scruff of the hair and forced his head back placing the blade of his sword against the terrified princes neck. " Don't worry boy it will be over with soon and quick!"
-
Lux jumped up at the sound of the screaming. He lifted his sword quickly, and struck his normal pose. Looking around quickly, he searched for the source of the screaming. The man took off running, jumping over fallen trees, and around standing ones. He quickly came upon the scene, and using sword skills that were rare for anyone, downed the first man. "Let go of him!" He snapped, glaring dangerously at the other man, and holding the sword in a pose that the man hadn't seen before. Luxin's eyes glinted in the low lighting.
-
The man snickered his green eyes flashing menacingly. " try and strike me down ladn and boy dies!" Mordred's eyes shone with fear. " Help me please! they are going to kill me like this did my parents please!" The man sneered. " Come on Lad do it!"
-
Luxin's blue eyes narrowed with a sharp intensity, and anger. Suddenly, the mans sword became burning hot to the touch. Luckily, it was just the handle, and it caused the thug to drop it. Quickly, something shoved the boy forward, and Lux pushed the boy behind him, before striking the thug down. With ease, the 16-year old slid his blade into the man's stomach, and he dropped like a stone. The dark-haired teen, drug his sword out, and flicked it to the side, to get the blood off. He then turned and went to the boy. "Are you alright?" He asked.
-
Mordred nodded though tears ran down his face. " you saved me... I am forever in your debt sir. " bowed respectfully to the stranger. " Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Mordred Syphort. Prince of Azgarath."
-
((Fancy Names...))
Luxin gave him a disarming grin. "No need to thank me, Lad. I'm Luxin Emrin." The last name was unfamiliar, as the dark-haired teen had his mothers name. "Nice to meet you, Prince." Lux gave a confident grin, and looked around, before putting away his sword. "We should leave the area before more of those thugs show up." He spoke.
-
Mordred nodded." It is a pleasure to meet you Sir Luxin Emrin." He followed the older lad wishing his parents were still alive. " what am i to do? How am I to reclaim the kingdom in my Father's name?" he thought htis to himself as he traveled with Luxin.
-
Luxin escorted the young boy to his makeshift camp. The fire was still going, though it had dimmed. The dark-haired man grabbed a stick and used it to spark up the dieing embers. He added a few more logs, and watched as the fire livened again. He didn't bother talking to the boy, knowing he was probably thinking.
-
Mordred looked at Luxin. " So what is someone like you living here all by yourself? why aren't you living with your Mother or Father?." His eyes scanned the surroundings finding the small campsite to be quite cozey since he was sued to living in the castle.
-
Luxin glanced at the boy. "Oh, I don't live here. I'm just traveling. And if you must know, my mothers passed on. My father.... he's to busy." The 16-year old shrugged, seeing it as non-important.
-
"I am terribly sorry for the loss of your Mother luxin." Mordred looks at the older lad with saddened eyes.
-
"It's alright. Happened years ago. I've gotten over it." Luxin shrugged, and stoked the fire once again. "May I ask you, what happened?" He asked, looking at the boy. He knew it would probably be hard for the boy to talk about, but he knew from experience it was better to let it all out, even to a stranger, than to keep it pent up.
-
Mordred looked at Luxin with sad eyes and began the tale. " I lived with my Mother and father in the kingdom and castle. One night as i was going to sleep I heard a small army of men break in to the castle. I witnessed them slit my Mothers throat then one of them looked at me and said " Come boy come see your father die a horrid death just as you will!" So I ran after they killed my father... I ran and I ran they chased me and then caught up with me a few days later and that is when you found me..." tears welled up in his eyes and he broke in to crying. "I miss them so much!... I wish I could have saved them instead of running like a coward!"
-
Luxin looked at the boy with pity. "It's alright..." He comforted. The man would try to comfort him closer, but they were all but strangers. Wouldn't it be awkward? Lux settled for a pat on the boys shoulder. It was better than nothing, he reasoned.
-
Mordred looks at Luxin and gives him a quick hug. He felt his stomach as it released a loud roaring growl. " I haven't eaten in days..."
-
Luxin smirked cheerily at the boys grumbling stomach. "Well! I just happen to be a, not so terrible cook! Stew's being the specialty. And the only thing I can cook." He mumbled afterwards, and began rummaging around for supplies. He found a good little pot, which he settled on the flames, and began his cooking.
-
Mordred grinned and adjusted his tunic slightly. "where did you learn to cook Luxin?" His bright blue eyes shined with curiosity.
-
"I stay at Inns alot. The women tend to... take liking to me. Taught me how to cook." Luxin stated, shruggin, still messing with his cooking stew.
-
Mordred shrugged. "Oh so they like you and teach you to cook? Just like that? No payment for the lessons?"
-
"Nope. I pay for the room, but not the lessons. I also tended to hang around the kitchen's when I was young." Luxin explained as well. It was true after all.
-
( mordred sorry doing this on my phobe lol)
-
Mordred stared at the stew his mouth watering. "Will it be ready soon?" Eagerness gnaws at hin his eyes growing as the lucious scent of the stew hit his nose.
-
It's fine =3 I sometimes use my IPod, and that's ALWAYS annoying XD))
"A few more minutes." Luxin stated, dropping the spoon he had been stirring the stew with. He was leaving it, so the ingredients had a chance to cook completely. No point in having a stew with raw meat in it.
-
"Yes I suppose you're right. So why do you travel? Why not stay in an inn?" Curiosity glowed in his eyes.
-
"I don't know. Staying in one place for to long doesn't really appeal to me." Luxin stated, serving the soup finally. He had two wooden bowls and served the soup. "You're gonna want to eat slowly, so your stomach doesn't get upset." That had been a fun experience last time it happened to him. Ended up practically puking his guts out for 4 hours.
-
Mordred nodded understanding. He began to slowly eat the stew his bright blue eyes lit up with delight. " this is very very good!..." He remembered what Luxin told him and reluctantly ate the stew slowly so he would not get sick later on. "So how long are we going to stay here? What are we going to do?" His mind raced with questions and worries.
-
"Leave that to me. We'll head back in the other direction. The last town a while away, and I can find some horses there. Probably. You know how to ride?" He questioned, looking at Mordred. Luxin ate his stew at a relatively normal pace.
-
Mordred looked at Luxin. " yes I know how to ride. My Father taught me to ride when i was very young and I continued with the lessons since then." He feels the spoon hit the now empty bowl and sets the bowl down giving a satisfied burp though he unsuccessfully tried to cover the sound. " that was a very delicious meal Luxin. Thank you."
-
"Your welcome." Luxin answered, smiling brightly. "Good thing you can ride. Teaching...is not a strong-suit of mine." He chuckled, and began cleaning up after finishing himself.
-
Mordred chuckled slightly. " Who taught you to ride?" He looked at Luxin curiosity swimming in his eyes once more.
-
"A Knight." The 16-year-old responded, "I lived in a kingdom for a while when I was young."
-
"Which Kingdom? And how did you learn to do magic? Who taught you? Was it legal to use magic in the kingdom you lived in?" Mordred continued to ask questions as his mind was racing with them.
-
"Woah there! Slow down." Luxin laughed, "I'm from Renuin. I didn't really learn to do magic, I've used it since birth. I found a few spell books here and there to help me along. And no, it wasn't legal." He answered each question, sincerely answering.
-
Mordred calms down . " oh ok..."
-
Luxin stared at the boy. Mood-swings much? He shook it off, and sat down his pack against the log. "Well..." He stoked the fire again, "I'm going to sleep. Night, Mordred."
-
Mordred looked at Luxin and nodded. " Night Luxin" He lay on the ground and did his best to fall asleep.
-
Luxin paused, uncomfortable, before sighing. He got up, searching through his pack, before pulling out a blanket and pillow, both relatively dirty and worn. He tossed them at Mordred, and settled back down.

Mordred was already asleep by the time Luxin had tossed him the blanket and pillow.
-
Gwen slinks around the edge of the camp almost silently, trying to see the sleeping boys out of semi-interest, snaps a twig on accident, stiffens and stops.
-
Mordred rolled over in his sleep but did not stirr. The dim fire gave slight light to his face.
-
Gwen watches carefully then continues to move closer.

-
Lilliana spotted the young woman, chuckling as she silently moved closer. She was careful not to let the golden coins that glimmered on her sash jingle as she got closer. "Hi there." She whispered, grinning. "I asume your efforts to be quiet are due to the fact that your reasons for going towards that camp are unsavery." She whispered, glancing over at the small hollow, fire gleaming in it's center.
-
((Welcome to the RP =3))
Luxin paused, hand reaching for his sword. Mordred was asleep, he noted, and the dark-haired 16-year-old glanced around. Being the chivalrous person he was, Lux gripped his sword and stood slowly. It wouldn't hurt to look around a bit, would it?
-
Gwen starts to back up slowly seeing him get up.
-
(MAKE A RUN FOR IT GWEN, WE'VE BEEN DISCOVERED! XD)
(And thank you. ^^)
Lilliana stared at Guinivere for a long moment, watching as she slowly backed away. Her golden-brown gaze drifted into the camp, a sigh escaping her maw as she saw the elder of the two boys rising to his feet, gripping his sword. "So either I die and get to stop tromping all over the place or I get a nice pay-out... Seems like a win win." She whispered, mostly to herself. The fae sat amongst the branches, not fearing the loud crunching as twigs snapped and leaves crumpled. She pulled her dagger from it's sheath on her belt and rested her hands in her lap, a firm hold on it's handle.
-
Gwen spots the fae, pulls bow off back slowly, gets an arrow out of quiver silently.
-
Lilliana's eyes widened as she turned to see the fae arming herself. "I mean no harm... I won't hurt you unless you attack... So just... Drop the pointy thing..." She said, starting to stand, her dagger gripped tightly in her hand. "If you so much as pluck that bow-string I'll scream and get us both caught." She said deffiantly.
-
Gwen backs up even farther making small sounds of twigs snapping, there's a large metallic snap and she falls. Lands on the ground struggling and crying but is silent. Blood begins to cover the forest floor.
-
Lilliana rushed to the young-woman's side, trying to pry open the metalic jaws. "Stay still..." She strained quietly as she pulled against the trap mechanism. "It won't open..." She whimpered, giving the fae an appologetic look. "God all-mighty, let those campers be friendly..." She muttered before taking in a breath. "Help! Somebody, help! And don't you dare try to attack, or I'll skin you alive!" She added in her loud pleas for assistance. (I'm asuming she's stuck in a fox/beartrap.)
-
Gwen struggles hard blood everywhere. She still makes no sound. Her cap falls off revealing long dark red curls. The bear trap is halfway up her leg and extremely deep.
-
Mordred sits up awake hearing the cry for help. " What's going on who are you people!?"
-
"I said stay still! If you don't stop wriggling I'll slice of your leg, nice and slow! That's the only way to do it with a dagger!" She shouted, ignoring the fact that she had lost her cap and made her gender clear. "Help! Somebody, please!" She called, still trying to pry open the bear-trap. "Please, help. My friend here has gotten stuck in the trap... I can't get it open."
-
She slowly stops to struggle but continues to cry silently
-
Mordred runs over to try and help pry toe trap off.
-
She slowly starts to go even paler, stops crying and eyes start to close
-
"No, no! Come on!" The fae screached, nolonger worried of how quiet to be. "Come on!" She growled, pulling back with all of her strength. "Please, hang on... Please!" She strained, working with the young boy to free her.
(Are you trying to die? o.o Or would you like to put that the trap is coming loose somewhere in a post?)
-
Mordred places his hands on the stranger his eyes flash gold for a second as he uses magic to heal her wounds
-
She stays still and unconscious getting some color back
-
Mordred feels weak and light headed he tries to stand up but fall to the ground as he begins to pass out.
-
she lays there silently and is very pale
-
A long silvery glowing scar is evident on her throat.
-
Mordred backs away afraid of what was going on he runs back to the camp site and stays near Luxin.
-
Her breathing is slow and steady, her heartbeat is quiet but strong
-
HOLY MOLY! You guys posted alot... O.O I has no idea what to do now... =/))
-
lol just do what u think :D) She lays there silent and unconcious
-
(o.o Laughless, I'm with you. I'm just kinda sitting here watching the dead people. XD)
"Thank god..." The fae murmered, sighing as she tried to pull the older girl over her shoulders. "Hey, you... Bigger person. And or the only one still standing... A little help here?" She said called over to Luxin, grunting as she tried to lift the young woman. Lilliana's pale-ginger curls sat messilly in her face, her hands covered in blood from trying to pry open the trap, her clothes covered in dirt and stained with crimson.
-
Her eyes open, sits straight up
-
Luxin scrambled over to the women. What the HECK were they doing out here?! He brought his sword, to be safe. The dark-haired man examined the trap. These weren't used very often, but could be very dangerous to have on one's leg. He had seen somebody loose a leg from one.
((Did these even exist in Medieval Times?))
-
Mordred stays by the camp fire afraid. "Luxin what is going on?"
-
Gwen tries to sign a thank you to Mordred and Lilliana
-
"It's fine Mordred." Luxin responded the boy. "This is gonna hurt." He warned the red-head, before gripping his hands around the metal trap. Slowly, he pulled apart the jaws, releasing them from her leg. Luxin quickly ripped the sleeve of his shirt and tied it tightly around the girls leg to stop the bleeding.
-
She sighs softly and tries to sign another thank you. She grabs a stick and tries to write it, but it only comes out in scribbles
-
She tries to stand wobbling a bit. She's out of balance due to the severed tendons in her leg. She winces a bit.
-
"What are you doing?" Luxin hissed, grabbing her shoulders, and supporting the injured women. "You really shouldn't be moving." He scowled in annoyance.
-
Gwen sighs and gives up trying to communicate. She just shrugs and stares at the ground miserably. She stares at the scribbles she made in the dirt very sadly.
-
Mordred stayed by the campfire as he watched Luxin help the injured woman. He put his hood over his head just in case she would try and turn him in. " Is she alright Luxin?"
-
Gwen just stares at the sky now a tear falling. Pulls a freshly killed rabbit out of her bag and offers it to the boys, then pulls out another one
-
Mordred looked at her. " erm would you like to stay with us until your wound is healed up?"
-
Gwen blushes bright red but nods. She taps her bow softly indicating she can hunt and help them with food supplying.
-
Luxin was finding this whole thing awkward. He never was good with groups of people, except when he was drunk. Or in a tavern. That worked to. "Her leg is injured badly. We need to get her to a psychian." The dark-haired young man helped the girl over to the campfire, and sat her down. He brushed away part of his hair, pinning it behind his ear. "Can you talk?" Lux questions. After all, she hadn't said a word so far.
-
She shakes her head and pulls down the neck showing a glowing silver scar down her pale throat, it glows with dark magic
-
Luxin frowned at the mark, "Alright.. Can you write?" It wasn't uncommon for people who did not belong to nobility to be unable to read.
-
She shakes her head no indicating the scribbles on the ground as attempts at writing
-
Luxin frowned. "Well this got complicated fast." He grumbled. "How do you communicated with others?" The dark-haired teen questioned again.
-
She shrugged softly and indicated her hands to make of what she wanted to say
-
Luxin sighed, and ran a hand through his dark hair. "This is troublesome." He grumbled. "There a way you can tell me your name?"
-
Mordred watches as Luxin attempted to communicate with the stranger.
-
She pulls out a tiny slip of paper that says Gwen on it
-
Mordred reads it " So you're name is Gwen?"
-
She nods excitedly
-
"Nice to meet you, Gwen." Luxin grinned, "I'm Luxin. Lux for short. This is Mordred." ((I CAN'T REMEMBER IF THEY INTRODUCED THEMSELVES YET... GAHHH!! >.<)) The teen paused, frowning. "Why are you out here anyways?"
-
She stares at the ground a bit sadly and shrugs
-
"Alright...." Luxin dropped the conversation. The teen wasn't entirely sure how you had a conversation with someone who can't communicate, and thus didn't know how to proceed. The dark-haired 16-year old looked at Mordred for some kind of help. The kid was a prince, he must know how to talk to people, right? Luxin wasn't much of a socialist. More of a swindler, drinker, and basically kind-of a con-man. Not even really that. It was hard to describe what exactly Luxin was. The 16-year old was noble, but well-known for not paying for his many drinks at taverns. He was chivalrous, and careful, yet possibly one of the clumsiest idiots around. He was just a bunch of conflicting traits stuffed into one man.
-
She chews her lip and imitates writing with her hand then points to the boys and tilts her head curiously
-
Mordred stood up and walked over to her and attempted to communicate with her.
-
Lux went back to stoking the fire, something he was actually good at.
((We type such short messages o.o))
-
She tries to get up and follow but wobbles and falls down
-
(Sorry for the absence. XP Been kinda busy.)
Lilliana sighed, starting to make her way over to the group. "Thank you for helping her, gentlemen..." She murmered, wiping the blood from her hands onto her skirt. The fae dipped her head slightly, staying at the outskirts of the camp. She sighed once more, sitting down at the edge of the clearing and twirling her dagger between her fingers.
-
((So quiet.. I'MA POST!))
Luxin looked at Lilliana. What was with people these days? The dark-haired male shook his head and continued poking the fire with a vengeance. Apparently he had something against fires.
-
She wobbles up to Luxin looking at him with recognition. She attempts to sign something with her hands
-
Lux's eyebrows furrowed as he turned to her. "What is it?" He asked quietly, trying to understand what she was signing to him. He didn't.
-
She pulls out a small locket and hands it to him eyes huge and worried
-
Luxin looked down at the locket, having no idea. The 16-year old opened it up, to gaze at the pictures on the inside.
-
There's a picture of a smiling couple and a dark haired baby boy, a maid stands in the background holding a tiny baby girl. She taps at the dark haired baby in in the painted portrait and points to him with a sad smile
-
Luxin looked at her, obviously confused. He handed the locket back. The dark-haired 16-year old didn't know exactly what the girl was trying to tell him, but he didn't like it. His mother had died when he turned 11, and the two of them had lived in the city, alone, since he could remember. He had met his father once or twice in that time, and the two kept a respectful relationship. His father had him taught some basics, but beyond that Lux had been on his own. After his mother passed, he ended up living alone and barely making it by. Then, his father had come to him with the sword. Luxin had taken it, with the promise he wouldn't return.
-
She sighs tapping the baby again and then pointing at him. She then points to the maids child and points to herself
-
"So..That's you?" He pointed at the baby the maid was holding. "And you think thats...." He pointed to the other baby, "Me?" Luxin absentmindedly wondered how had someone painted such a tiny picture.
-
She nods excitedly finally getting him to understand
-
Luxin inwardly snorted in disbelief. He doubted it. However, he didn't want to upset the women in front of him. The dark-haired teen shrugged and spoke, "That could be anyone. By the way, how'd they make a painting that small?" Lux was far more curious about the tiny picture, being that...well. tiny.
-
She shrugs and shakes her head with a sigh, she sets the locket in his hand and closes his fingers around it carefully
-
( hey sorry I haven't been on lately school is killing me UGH! I'll try and rp more often once spring break hits alright? )
-
Ya.. Atleast you have Good Friday off, right? XD))
Luxin took the locket unwillingly. Wouldn't do to upset her. Later, when Gwen was asleep he planned to tuck it back into her stuff, not that she would know. "You should go to sleep, you've had a tough day." He smiled at her, charming as always.
-
She shakes her head eyes going huge in fear. She refuses to even lay down
-
Name: Grayson
Age: 17
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Tall, dark hair and green eyes.
History: Was born into an average family, and has just worked a simple life in the fields.
Nobility: Peasant.
-
I'd maybe start rping if I were you..idk when the founder of this rp will be on next)))
-
I'm not sure either. =/ Nice to see you Evaluation XD))
Luxin sighed, and continued stabbing the fire. I think that's the only thing he does anymore.
(Do you guys want to skip to the morning...?))
-
((Yes. Please, so I can join in, xD))
-
LET'S DO IT! XD))
-
Alright! *Le It's Morning Time!*))
Grayson held his bow in his hand, his quiver on his back, full of arrows. He was walking to his favorite tree, which offered a perfect vantage point for hunting. He stepped quietly through the tree's, not wanting to scare away any prey that was nearby. The leaves rustled quietly beneath his feet. Through the darkened bark, Grayson saw a couple of people on the ground. He stopped and cocked his head to the side, listening for signs of life.
-
She wakes up and sees blood has soaked through the bandage on her leg
-
As the girl figure started to stir, Grayson reached his arm over his back, lightly grabbing an arrow by the feathers. He took a couple of steps forward. "Who are you?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.
-
She just stares at him trying to shake the others awake. She doesn't make a single sound
-
Grayson pulled the arrow out of the quiver and put it against the string. "One more time, who are you?" He asked sharply. His short blonde hair fell into his eyes, causing him to shake his head to regain clear vision.
-
She attempts to sign to him frantic in her signing. She taps her throat and shakes her head her eyes very sad
-
Grayson frowned and pulled the bow back taunt. She apparently couldn't talk, which was a deformity. And deformity meant weakness. There was no room for weakness in the world. "Y'all are on our land." he said finally.
-
She cowers under him trembling. Her own bow and quiver were too far away to help her. She cries silently expecting death
-
So um, continue?))
-
Sorry. OLA!)) Lux's eyes shot open, and he instantly grabbed onto his sword. He jumped up, standing and pointing the long sword at Grayson. He looked at Gwen, absolutely confused. "What's going on?" He questioned, watching Grayson carefully.
-
She trembles hard as the arrow points at her. Hot tears fall down her face
-
Grayson lifted his arrow to the male, who had risen with a sword. "I asked who you are, and nobody responded." He answered lowly. "You're on our land, scaring away our game."
-
She gets up wobbly from her leg wound and makes a grab for her bow
-
Grayson glanced down to the girl and shook the blonde hair from his green eyes. "What's her problem? Can't she talk?" He asked, still keeping a hard glare on the man.
-
She shakes her head
-
Grayson raised his brow, but kept his bowstring tight. He shook his head. "Doesn't matter. Y'all need to leave. Food is scarce enough around here without poachers coming and taking our food."
-
She tries to get up again wobbling and falling hard on her face
-
Grayson pointed the arrow at her. "Stop moving!" He instructed.
-
She stares down at her bloody leg and begins to cry silent tears
-
You guys posts so fast O.o And so much.. GOD! Slow down XD))
Luxin clenched his jaw, gritting his teeth. "Leave her alone!" He yelled. His eyes flashed gold, and suddenly branches gripped Grayson around the arms, lifting him into the air, and making it impossible to shoot his bow. Lux quickly picked Gwen up, bridal style. The dark-haired teen set her down further away, next to Mordred and Lillian, before returning to Grayson. He snatched up his sword and the bags.
-
((xD I was trying to wait on you.))
Grayson twisted and grabbed his dagger from his side holster. He wiggled loose of the branches and crouched above them. He wrapped his knees around the branch and leaned down to grab his bow. "What kind of witch craft is this?!" He yelled and hopped down. "Are you in the dark magics? I'll turn you in to the church!" he yelled and pulled his bowstring back again. "Then my family will be proud of me."
-
"Witchcraft? Seriously! I'm a MAN!" Luxin yelled, as if he had to prove the point he held his arms out to the side. "I'm just passing through the land! All I want is how to get to the nearest town! I could care less about your land, or the church, or whatever else you come up with!" Lux shouted at Grayson, stepping closer. "I honestly. Could. Not. Give. Two. Craps." Each word, he stepped closer, close enough where the arrow was practically touching his torso.
-
Grayson laughed and relaxed the bow. He leaned back and put the arrow back in his quiver. "I'm just messin'." He laughed and relaxed his bow by his side. "You seriously think I'm one of those guys?" Grayson rolled his eyes and leaned against the tree. The 'man' was Grayson's height, maybe a bit taller. He scratched his blonde head and nodded. "Y'all looking for town, you're a few miles off course. I need to go sell a deer I got yesterday, so I'll show you the way?" He questioned and stood straight. "I really did think you were wild hogs at first, so, sorry about the whole arrow thing." He laughed and grabbed his dagger off the ground.
-
Luxin looked insulted, "Wild hog? Me? Never." He scoffed, wiping off his shirt. "I'm insulted you think I could be one of those grunts." The dark-haired looked over to Gwen, "Did ya really have to scare the crap out of her like that?" Lux questioned.
-
Grayson laughed. "I though it was pretty funny." He smiled and put the dagger back in his holster. "So, would you like a guide, or not?" He asked, raising his brow.
-
She has her eyes tightly closed and her hands tremble in fear. She refuses to look at him signing a thank you to Lux
-
Luxin shrugged it off, and hoisted up Gwen again. "Ya, that'd be nice." Lux adjusted the shoulder pack over one shoulder, and looked at Mordred and Lillian. He didn't entirely know if they were coming as well, and leaving Gwen wasn't really possible. Since she was injured, he figured the best idea was to get her back to a town.
-
Grayson nodded and lifted his head, motioning for them to follow him. "C'mon then." He said and started to walk through the trees, until he reached a small shack with a large brown mule tied outside. The mule lifted his head and brayed before lowering his head back down and continuing to graze. At the back of the shack hung a deer by his ankles. Grayson cut the string and carried the deer over to the mule. He threw the deer over the mule's back and tied it under his belly. "Good boy, Ace." Grayson smiled and patted the mule. He untied the mule from the side of the house and looked at the others. "Let's get going then." He nodded and clicked before pulling the rope and starting out of the small clearing.
-
She peeks out at him from Luxin's shoulder reaching out to pet the mule gently
-
((Mule...not donkey.))
-
fixed))
-
ty
-
Luxin quickly hurried along, walking beside the mule silently. The dark-haired young man was on guard for bandits and such, in the surrounding forest.
-
Grayson walked in silence, raising his brow after a short second. "So...uh.." He said.
-
Gwen falls asleep on Luxin's shoulder, snoring softly
-
"Uh.. I'm Luxin. Can't remember if I told you or not." Luxin readjusted his hold on Gwen, so she wouldn't fall. Lux didn't find it very difficult to carry her either.
-
"Grayson." He said and nodded to the other man. "And this is Waylan." He said, pointing to the mule. "What are y'all doing way out here, anyhow?" He asked.
-
She snores softly. Her hair hides her face
-
"I'm a traveler. I saved Mordred from some thugs, and I don't know about the two lasses." Luxin replied. The young dark-haired man continued walking, not pausing once while talking. "Gwen got her foot caught in a bear trap, and we got her out." He gestured towards the injured leg.
-
"Ahh.." Grayson said and jerked the leadrope, insisting the mule picked up the pace. "Did you put anything on it?" He asked. "And why can't she talk?" He asked.
-
"No clue about the muteness. Hasn't made a sound the entire time. And ya, I did. Used some healing magic yo, but I'm not that great with those. We were kind of frazzled to, and I was still tired from the thugs. I could probably do better later" Luxin explained rapidly, barely stopping to breath as he explained everything to Grayson. His accent, which wasn't to thick, did make it hard to understand what he was saying occasionally.
-
She nuzzles into his neck starting to wake up
-
"Ahh." Grayson nodded as the town came into view. "Well, I hope you find what you are looking for. The town is right up ahead, but watch out for the clergy. They're not too kind to outsiders." He stressed and continued to walk.
-
Luxin nodded, and sped up. He glanced down at Gwen, and smiled. "Good Morning, Sunshine." He chirped, rather cheerfully. Lux kept on down the road until they reached the entrance. "Excuse me!" He called to a random civilian. "Do you know where I can find an Inn? My friend is injured and needs to rest." The two talked for a bit, before the towns person pointed him to a building down the road. He thanked him, and headed off to the inn.
-
She smiled up at him very shyly, then hid her face in his neck again. She is still completely silent. They get to the inn, and the innkeeper's wife takes one look at Gwen in her men's clothing and wrinkles her nose in disgust, "No whores are welcome here."
-
Luxin glared sharply. "She's no whore. She's an injured women, in need of rest." The man snapped at the wife. He would have said more, but they did need someplace to stay.
-
Grayson watched and walked up behind them. "Helen! Hey." He smiled and hugged the woman. "These are my friends, and they really need a place to stay." He nodded, opening his green puppy dog eyes. "Could you help them out?" He smiled.
-
Luxin threw Grayson a thankful half-smile, still carefully holding onto Gwen.
-
Grayson smiled as Helen let them in. "Good luck." He nodded and continued with his mule and deer.
-
"Thanks!" Lux called back, to the hunter. He glanced at Gwen. "You think you can walk? I'll help you ofcourse. Just gonna be hard to pay while holding you." He laughed cheerfully, eyes twinkling with amusement.
-
She nods and slides down carefully, and stands on one foot carefully, holding his arm for balance
-
Luxin gripped her shoulder, to keep the girl steady. "Let's go, Hoppy." He grinned at her, and slowly made his way to the counter, supporting Gwen so she wouldn't fall.
-
She wobbles but makes it to the counter with his help
-
Luxin grinned at her, before turning to the counter. " Hello? Anybody home?" He called, waiting for the keeper to appear, so he could get the mute girl a room.
-
She hides her face in his shoulder too shy to let anyone see her in her men's clothing
-
A thin man with red hair and a beard appeared. He sighed as a frown stayed planted on his face. "May I help you?" He asked, trying his best to smile.
Grayson tied his mule at the market and unloaded the deer. He layed it on the table and started to sell. People gasped. There hadn't been deer seen in months.
-
"This young lady needs a room." The ruffian spoke, tapping his hand against the counter. Steadily, he reached down to his belt, and pulled a pouch off. Easily, he slipped out a few gold coins (rather expensive), into his palm. "For however long is needed." Luxin spoke, goofy smile on his face. The dark-haired lad was actually familiar around these parts, but only barely. And mostly at the taverns, which the boy easily managed to escape tabs from. Though, he wasn't entirely sure if he had gone to this town, yet. The 16-year old, looking rather grungy and..not particularly one of those people you'd let stay in your inn, wasn't expecting that he can get a room. The innkeepers usually took one look at the boy with gold coins, expected he was some kind of thief, and made some lie that all rooms were full. Not that he cared. Lux had to go find some horses anyways, one for the lass and one for him. The Welsh-accented boy was actually wondering if he should get one for Mordred as well.
-
"Aye." The man nodded and grabbed the book from behind the counter. "And will you be needing a room as well?" He asked. " Or will the two of you be sharing?" He asked lifting his brow.
Grayson sold a majority of the deer, leaving with a great amount of coin in his pocket. He walked to the nearest tavern and tied up his mule. He walked in and sat down at the main bar. He paid for a good sized drink and started to sip it.
-
Luxin told the innkeeper, that no he was not sharing the room, and he won't need one. "Won't be sticking around." Luxin drummed his fingers against the counter.
-
The inn keeper nodded and finished his writing. "Yes sir." He said and looked up to the girl. "This way to your room." He said and turned to start walking.
Grayson drank about half and leaned back on his stool, staring at the ceiling. He hated to go home.
-
Lux helped Gwen to her room, and set her down on the bed there.
-
The innkeeper led them down the corridor towards a small room with a hay filled mattress as a bed. He nodded and opened the door. "Make yourself at home." He said lowly before ducking out and going back to the counter where he grabbed a small bag from the woman behind the desk and put the two coins into the bag.
Grayson downed the bottom half of his drink and started out of the tavern. He yawned and untied his mule before starting back home.
-
Her eyes go huge and she refuses to let go of him. She stares up at him scared out of her mind and shakes her head trying to tell him why.
-
"What is it?" He questioned. Luxin sat her down and crouched so they were face to face
-
She starts to cry and clings to him afraid to be left alone
-
The man quickly disappeared up a flight of stairs.
-
Luxin paled and looked around frantically for help. Unfortunately, there was no one. The 16-year old had no idea how to help the crying girl, and was panicking.
-
A short, chesty girl with curly auburn walked down the hallway. She poked her head in the door as she heard the crying. "Are you alright, honey?" She asked. "He didn't hurt you, did he?" She asked and narrowed her emerald eyes at the man who was with her. Her skin was ivory fair with soft freckles across her nose.
-
Luxin looked at the girl, ignoring her comment. "I don't know what to do! She just started crying, and she can't talk and I don't know what to do!" The boy babbled, panicking.
-
The girl raised her brow and stepped into the room, her hands planted on her hips. "Well, are you leaving? Maybe she doesn't want to be alone." She shrugged and dropped her hands from her hips.
-
Luxin blinked with wide eyes, before looking at Gwen. "Is that it...?" He questioned softly, looking at her while holding her hand.
-
The girl crossed her arms and shifted all of her weight to her right foot, propping her hip out slightly. "What are you to her, anyhow?" She asked, sending a curious glance in the mans direction.
-
"I'm pretty much a complete stranger... She got stuck in a trap in the woods, and I got her out. Her legs injured though." Lux's eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. "What kind of indecent human would even create such things?" The dark-haired man tried to get Gwen off his arm, slowly pulling away.
-
"Really now?" The girl asked. "Well in that case, hi there. I'm Jolene Barnes." She smiled and extended her hand. "Pleasure to meet you." She giggled and shook her auburn hair over her shoulders.
-
"Name's Luxin, this is Gwen." He responded, still trying to pry the girl off of his arm.
-
She refuses clinging harder. She nods in the girls direction about the fear of being left alone
-
Jolene raised her brow. "Honey, I know you might be scared, but nobody likes a clingy woman." She whispered. She leaned back and looked back up at the man. "Pleasure to meet you, Luxin, Gwen." She nodded to both of them.
-
She flinches away from her embarrassed about her men's clothing. She hides her face in his shoulder to shield her embarresment
-
Luxin grinned slightly. "Same to you, Jolene. Do you, by chance, have any clothes for Gwen? I doubt she wants to stay in these." He motioned to the mens clothing.
-
Jolene's eyes looked up or a moment as she thought. "I might have one dress, but if you want anymore than that, you're gonna have to go to the shop." She said and looked at the man. "I can show y'all tomorrow, if you'd like." She said, batting her lashes quickly.
-
She still won't look at the other girl, too shy and embarrassed to do so.
-
Jolene held up her finger. "ONe second." She smiled and walked towards her room down the hall. She reappeared with a soft blue dress hanging over her arm. "Here you go, doll." She smiled and offered it to Gwen.
-
She peeks out shyly and looks at her, her eyes round with fear. She looks at it curiously, not understanding
-
"It's for you." Luxin explained, reaching out a hand and rubbing the material between his fingers. "Soft to."
-
She takes it carefully and looks at it, she blushes and looks at Lux, then at the door, her eyes huge
-
"I'll be right outside." He smiled, and exited the room, leaning against the wall next to the door. Lux pondered what exactly he was going to do. The 16-year old couldn't leave her there, obviously, but taking her with him would be dangerous.
-
She dresses quickly, then peeks her head out shyly, the dress fits well, and it hits the floor. Her eyes are huge and very timid. She looks down at the floor.
-
Jolene smiled and.nodded in approval. "Very nice." She laughed.
-
She looks up at her shyly, then down at the floor
-
Luxin turned to look at Gwen, and a grin lit up his features. "It's nice." He bowed suddenly, "Ma' Lady." He grinned foxily, straightening up.
-
Jolene giggled as she watched Luxin and Gwen. "Well, in that case, how about we have a drink, hmm? My rooms got full acess?" She smiled and pointed her thumb back towards her room.
-
Luxin's head jerked up to look at Jolene. "You had me at the word drink." The 'charming' man grinned foxily once again, waggling his eyebrows.
-
Jolene giggled and pressed her hands together in front of her, forcing her chest out slightly. "Great." She smiled and shrugged shortly. She lifted onto the balls of her feet and spun around before walking out the door and down the hallway, lifting her right arm and waving it for them to follow.
-
Luxin turned his megawatt grin to Gwen, scooped the girl up;again. And carried her down the hall to Jolene's current place of residence.
-
Mordred yawned and rubbed his eyes. ( Sorry about not being on lately I've been super busy with school!)
-
XD Luxin and Gwen are now in town.. While Mordred is still in the woods.. XD))
-
She nuzzles her face into his shoulder sighing softly, obvious that her leg hurt her
-
Morded runs to the town to find Luxin. " Luxin?! Luxin where are you!?" He stopped in his tracks when he spotted one of the en who caused his life to become a living nightmare.
-
((Don't you have school?))
Jolene walked into her room towards the back. She motioned to the table for them to sit down before getting a couple of glasses and pouring a drink. She brought them over to the table and sat them down, smiling at the couple. "Here we are." She said and sat down on the other side of the table, watching them with glinting green eyes.
-
( it's only 7:03 where I am )
Mordred backed away but soon felt a firm grip on his shoulder and a knife against his back. He heard a gruff man's voice growl in his ear. " Walk and don't make a sound or I will end you here and now you little brat!.."
-
~Has no idea just what he's supposed to do seeing as how he's... inside and away from Mordred...))
Luxin frowned, glancing out of the room before setting down Gwen on a seat. "Hang on. I'll be right back." He spoke hurriedly, before darting out of the room. Striding through the inn, he exited the building and looked up and down the roads. Scowling, Lux made his way to the center of the road, and looked about. Eyes widening dramatically he cursed, "Mordred! Dang it, where the hell did that kid go?"
-
Mordred looked franticly as the man forced him down a small dark ally.
-
Gwen sits quietly in her seat, staring down at her lap silently
-
You guys certainly don't type much XD))
Luxin scowled, and decided he might as well ask some people. Quickly, he went around the street stopping passerby's, and he even knocked on some houses. In each conversation he described Mordred, and asked if they'd seen him by chance.
-
Grayson watched Luxin run through the streets. "Lux!" He yelled, tugging hia mule behind him. "Whats going on man?"
((I usually do, but there isnt much to say atm.))
-
The man grabbed Mordred by the scruff of his cloak and threw him to the ground. He then pressed the blade against the frightened child's throat. Mordred tried to scream for help but the man clamped his hand over the child's mouth. The man sneered. " Don't worry boy you'll be with your Mother and Father very soon..."
-
"You remember the kid I had with me at the campsite? He's dissappered! You seen him?" He questioned, words coming in rapid fire.
-
Grayson lifted his arm and narrowed his eyes. "Aint that him?" He asked and pointed down a narrow alley where a man had taken the boy
-
Luxin spun around frantically, eyes widening at the sight. "Mordred!" He yelled, and raced off towards the alley, cursing at the fact that he had left his sword at the inn. "Crap, Crap, Crap! Let go of him!" Lux skidded to a halt in front of the man, hands facing out towards the man.
-
An arrow pierces the attackers chest, then he falls. Gwen stands on the roof with her bow. She wobbles her leg still bad and falls, hitting the cobblestones hard. There's a loud crack that tells of the breaking of her neck.
-
Dude....Do you just have some kind of thing for hurting your character O.O You know she wouldn't survive breaking her neck, right? There's not enough medical knowledge.... Lux has nothing to do with this.. XD I can't think of anything for him to do. o.o))
Luxin quickly snatched Mordred away from his attacked, asking quickly. "You alright?" Soon as the boy answered, he raced over to Gwen, the boy in tow.
-
Mordred watches the scene of both the attacker falling and his rescuer. He runs over to her body fear in his eyes not knowing if she could be saved or not.
-
((I love how all of this is going on, and both of my chars are either drunk, or getting drunk.))
-
Drinkings fun.. XD I made Luxin a drunk even though he's 16, and he hasn't had a one drink this entire time.. XD LET LUXIN DRINK PEOPLE!!))
He hesitantly reached for a pulse, inwardly knowing she wouldn't have survived that fall. Lux cringed at the unnatural twist of her neck.
-
Mordred stays near Luxin still shaking from nearly getting killed by the man earlier.
-
Grayson dropped the lead and stumbled down the alley quickly. "What happened?" he asked, his eyes glazed over with confusion.
-
Mordred looked at the stranger. then back at his rescuer. " She saved me.. and and then she fel I I couldn't do anything..."
-
((If she doesn't post we don't know if she's dead or not.. T3T))
Luxin looked at Grayson, confused as to what he should do. Moving her, if she was alive, could cause further damage, and the 16-year old was to unskilled to find her pulse.
-
A little girl runs down the alleyway. She touches the body and sighs, her soft blond hair cascading down her back. She grabs Gwen's head and twists it hard, there's a loud crack and then her head and neck are perfectly aligned again. She kisses her cheek and looks at the boys b"it's not her time yet. She will speak when she finds her calling" the little girl disappears. Gwen's hand stirs a bit
-
Mordred looks at the little girl she appeared to be around his age.
-
She smiles at him then disappears. Gwen sits straight up, her eyes wide
-
Mordred grinned at the girl.
-
Gwen looks at him, her eyes wide in surprise, the she smiles big
-
Luxin decided that then was the time to faint. His dark eyes rolled up into his head, and the teenage male crumpled to the ground.
-
She scurries over to him, pressing her hands to his cheeks and jostling him in an attempt to wake him
-
Luxin didn't, ofcourse. Like it could be that easy. Nope, the male stayed blissfully asleep, comfortable in his having fainted.
-
She sighs sitting next to him, unsure of what to do
