Title: No snow in the south pole?

I just walked into the south pole a few minutes ago and there isn't any snow like there was last time o_0 it's all ice.

Maybe something weird happened to your default texture files? Have you installed any new mods recently or changed your files in any way? If not try closing the game and restarting it could have just been a loading derp. If it still continues afterwards you could try reinstalling your game to get back the original textures unless someone can give you those individual files. Just as a precaution though be sure to back up your important files if you do reinstall.
