Title: Why is the game like this?

I just got FeralHeart back from some time when the new version came out from all the updates. It seems that when i get into the main server after picking a character, i'm at Bonfire and ever single detail, even the map and users, are completely black and i'm the only one that isn't shaded in darkness. I have already reinstalled and added all the updates and everything, but it won't cut it out. I can't even pick up anything anybody will type in public. Why is the game like this? Is it going to a point of shutting down again?

Run the game as an administrator. I had the same problem, but I fixed it with that.
To run as an admin just right click the Feral Heart icon and select 'Run as administrator'

i did, and it still was the same. i am starting to remember why i stopped playing.

When you re-installed did you delete all the FH folders? Also try to toggle between the Options ---> Video ---> Rendering Subsystem ---> Direct3D9 and OpenGL to see which might suit you the best. Also maybe don't have high texture detail, it's possible your computer can't handle that.

If you have last played FH+ and then start over in the normal FH, then the Server has saved your last position in the FH+ map, not in the normal version. But the server does not know that you playd FH+ or nor the normal version.

Click on the feather, home point/home. Reset home, click yes to reset the home to the one map the game tells you. Then press go home.

You should start now in a map that is not Bonfire island, since Bonfire is no longer the actual start map of FH.
