Title: .cfg File Won't Open!!!

When I tried to add items to FeralHeart, the cfg. file won't open! Is there a way to open it? Please help me!!!!   :'(

You can't open item.cfg. Just pressing the the right button (Which allows you to copy and paste) and open the the Notepad. And make sure you put the 'Items' folder, the one that DOESN'T have .cfg goes in FeralHeart>Media. And the Item.cfg goes in the main feral heart folder. Hope this help. :)

Of course you can open the .cfg file! When asked to open it just click "Select a program of installed programs" or something along the lines of that.
It may be different because you have a different computer then mine probably.


But opening the .cfg file isn't needed. As stated above you can just put the .cfg of the item pack that you want and place it in the FeralHeart main folder and click "yes" when asked to replace.

Normally all you have to do to open up your items.cfg file is to just right click it with your cursor and click the "open with" option and select which program you want to open it with. It should open with "wordpad" as seen below:

If it isn't opening with wordpad all you have to do is right click it and click "open with" & then "choose a default program". From there you can select the appropriate program to open it with.

Most of the time when you download an item pack all you have to do is replace the new items.cfg file with the old one. Be sure to refer to any "read me" files that could have come with the item pack download because it will tell you whether to replace the old items.cfg file with the new one or to open the new items.cfg file and copy and paste the new codes into the old one of yours.

I hope that clears things up for you.

You just need to open it with notepad. Err. Im bad at explaining things. If a window pops up s'lect 'open with' and click notepad.
