I logged in and chose my character and it goes to the loading screen like normal. After a while of loading a pop up will say it can't connect to the map server and I always have a good internet connection. This doesn't happen when I make completely new characters though and I don't want to have to make a new character every time I want to play. How can I solve this?

I would try resetting your character (this is done by logging into the forum again, and the golden box at the top left of the forum will give you the Character Reset option). Do this, reset your characters of choice back to their original homes (or just Lonely Cave), and this should resolve the issue.
However, if you're still experiecing this, even when your characters are in Lonely Cave, and I would suggest an uninstall/reinstall of FeralHeart (although I doubt you'll have to do this).
