??? ???? ?? ??? ????????? ?????
The prey that once was abundant in this land has seemed to be gone- no food- nothing left but small creatures that are mostly a snack for the wolves. Bigger game has run out- they aren't anywhere- and how degrading it is for the pack of wolves that currently led that territory. They were once strong and mighty, the most feared pack throughout the forest and now what? Now they were resorting to snatching up smaller creatures and even resorting to cannibalism if they had to. How disgusting, those smaller canines, wolves aren't supposed to eat one of their family- which is why they have resorted to hunting something worse. Humans, or even human cattle. The poor wolves know the consequences, but the alpha is running out of decisions, and all the arguments are causing many bloody fights, and now distrust is now dancing about in the pack! The poor alphas  alone in this leadership they both don't know what to do; they try to reason with the pack- but frustration is causing most to go crazy. The alphas have begun to think they should follow what the prey are most likely doing, leave and find a paradise, nothing else is going to come but bad if they stay at their territory, what worse is that the smaller ones they are feasting off of are coming down with a sickness, any wolf caught eating an infected one should be killed immediately. Foaming at the mouth, they are becoming insane- what better is to put them done despite how hard it is. Rabies, that is the sickness that is killing many- and the wolves are slowly becoming weaker and weaker. The humans are also making it hard for the pack, invading and looking out for blood, they are incredibly angry for the loss of many of their kind and their cattle, and now guns are killing off many members of the pack- and they are even ruining the wolves habitat, maybe that's the reason for the prey's disappearance?

However,

Word is going around about a paradise, the current alpha has heard of it- and doesn't know whether to follow the myth, was it a myth? Oh who cares, it was their only hope in escaping- they needed to- or else they'll be lost. They have to go- they are being driven out by many others, many are going to be lost, and only the strongest will make it- they have to cross many hard physical features- and its all to get to a place many don't think is real, but maybe..just maybe.. the myth might just be true.

Elyaris.

??? ???????
The season of this roleplay is going to take place in winter- and a hard one at that. It snows almost everyday, and the snow is continuing to rise in inches. Prey is scarce as stated before, and only smaller canines such as foxes roam about to catch little creatures in the snow. The matted down pine needles are all covered in white snow, or are bare- creating frosted leaves that sometimes drift to the white floor. The trees are also sagging, sometimes touching the backs of anyone walking under them, however the winds are very harsh- sometimes blowing the branches this way and that and causing them to break off into the air. Anyone who appreciated nature could at least see how beautiful it was, how peaceful it was and how that could provide warmth, but no, winters are bad, too cold and too hard to walk through, and they sometimes add to the bad mood others might have. Everything, such as vegetation and water sources are all icy and have a snowy edge to it, forcing many to find new water and making plant-eaters have to search to find any sort of green; making many of the smaller game die as well- and also increase sickness and even the spread of it due to the desperate creatures. The snow is everywhere- there is no escape from it- so far- the wolves haven't seen any place without snow, and they have even seen the rare sight of icicles, that reflect the image of the snowy forest- however there is no sound, and it is still unless bothered. Oh Elyaris, that myth of a place, it is supposed to be viewed with rich prey all about, game that stands in a beautiful meadow with splashes of color everywhere! Flowers of every scent and kind, with many shrubs and vegetation that adds to the detail of that paradise. Trees are supposed to be tall but friendly, with flowers decorating its green covered branches as sun shines above it. It is normally warm there, and has a tropical feel to it whenever it rains, however it is not hot- nor cold- how strange. But it is after all, a paradise for all creatures. Elyaris is also described to be a forest of healing- that is the biggest myth of them all- but when one is desperate, they'll attempt to believe anything about that paradise that is hidden from a human's eye.

1. The main rule of this roleplay is going to godmodding, ghosting, powerplaying, and all that, none of that please. If you wish to challenge the alpha do it fairly and don't do a: Wisam jumped and killed the alpha, then became leader.

2. No wolfspeak, and when I say that I mean: The glorious fae known as Night walked with her long pillars out ahead of her, her orbs scanned the terra and the fae swished her long banner.

3. You may only have one to three characters, and you must play ALL of them, and keep them all active too; for example someone might be speaking to one of your characters and in your next post you don't reply and only reply on your two others, which might leave them quite frustrated, so keep all your characters roleplaying and active if you want multiple ones.

4. Realistic pictures are needed, no drawings of wolves, no photo manipulations of wolves, just realistic pictures. Also, if you don't have a picture describe what your wolf looks like- but keep it realistic. Also please know that the secret word is 'escape to elyaris'. But double also know, ask me if you want your wolf to have different colored eyes, and I want a specific and or scientific reason.

5. Excessive inappropriate language is not allowed, minor language is acceptable but don't go overboard. Also remember to follow all feralheart rules.

6. Wolves are the only species you may play in the roleplay, no owls, no foxes, no lions, no nothing, just wolves, and no lone wolves either. Due to the fact that the second secret word is 'earth beneath my paws', and also due to the fact the pack is going to be moving a lot, and loners getting behind is just kind of stupid for the roleplay.

7. Be active in the roleplay please, not saying you have to post 3-4 times a day, but at least try to be active. Also, don't flood the roleplay with your posts, wait until some others have posted!

8. This is a realistic roleplay, which means no unnatural markings, no super powers, no special abilities, no items or clothing, no taking a big game down for yourself, and no extra big teeth or claws, nothing of that sort, be a normal wolf in this roleplay.

9. If your character develops rabies and is killed, you are free to make other characters.

10. Don't steal another characters appearance or personality, be unique and creature your own character that you'll be comfortable roleplaying with!

11. This roleplay is literate, so not text speak, and no one-liners of a post. Four sentences is the minimum, but you are free to exceed that limit! Its encouraged actually.

12. Hate the character, not the player, be friendly! Also, if you feel you are being ignored, force yourself in the roleplay, offer some advice, help someone, encourage someone, anything so that you don't feel left it! Don't just sit there and sulk saying: No one is roleplaying with me. :c. NO. Get into the roleplay.

13. Expect gore and blood in the roleplay possibly, due to many fights that might occur.

14. Post in third person!

15. Have fun!

??? ????? ?? ??? ????
The alpha female rank is currently occupied by Meowzers, and the character's name is Inxis. Being the alpha female means that they are the female leader of the pack, what they say is law and must not be challenged. This spot can be taken if another fights the alpha female and takes leadership.

The alpha male rank is currently not occupied, however is locked until Rae finds a love interest and declares him as her mate. Being the alpha male means that they are the male leader of the pack, what they say is law and must not be challenged unless the other alpha mentions something, then they are free to argue. This spot cannot be taken unless the current alpha female accepts the other male.

The high council rank is locked unless the alpha has pups. They are the pups of the alpha, and usually become alpha if the previous ones retire or die- or leave.

The main council rank is currently not open. The main council rank is a high position in the pack, they usually give advice to the alphas, and help out with others in the pack, but otherwise are below the alpha and their word is not law.

Subordinate rank is currently open, and there is unlimited spots. Apply! Subordinates are the 'normal' wolves of the pack, they do things such as hunt- protect the park- guard the pups, whatever that is assigned to them.

The young rank is currently closed unless a female has pups, but this may not be good due to the hardships the pack is going to have to go through.

Name: Butch

Nicknames/Alias: Butcher.

Gender: Male.

Age: He is about 2 years, and 3 quarters.

Rank: Main Council Rank.

Mate?: None.

Pups?: None, but would like some.

Infatuation? aka 'crush' (Optional): Inxis.

Description of your character: His sleek, dark pelt is blended in with some peachy, blonde patches. He has a long muzzle, with sharp teeth that can give a bite. He has a deep glare in his eyes, but he doesn't mean trouble. His tail is rather bushy! He has a sleek frame, that is tough and can stand a fall with out feeling hurt ((not to much of a fall though)). He is quite muscley, due to his family line. He has a scar on his right eye, when he was battling with a loner who was trying to take a pup to eat. He has been looking skinnier than usual, and more tired, more ill looking. But he is surely a fighter.

Sample post:
The dark grey sky lingered above the silent forest; except from the breathing wind of the whistling snow. His eyes squinted, as he stared blankly into the distance, as his tummy grumbled. His fur was gently buffeted by the strong wind that surrounded the camp, and he stood up. His eyes ached, and his bones shook, he felt more tired than usual. He knew he should take a break from doing pack duty's, but it was time when the pack needed every one... His limp tail hung down, as he slowly padded towards the forest.

Butch looked around, breathing in hoping for the slightest scent of food. His paws could actually feel the grass, they had sunk into the snow. He saw a few warriors crawling around, looking skinny and weak. "I remember the good old times.." Butch heard a croaky voice say, he sighed, and shook his pelt. After hours of searching, no luck.

He ventured back into camp, he saw the beautiful pelt of Inxis. He sighed, and stumbled over to the Alpha Female. "Inxis?" He began, breathing in deeply, "we cannot survive here... I know its where the pack was born... But... Were all dying.." He whined, and waited for a snap or something like that. He felt the fluffy snow float onto his black fur, and didn't bother to shake them off.
Photo unless described well enough above:

Other: Earth beneath my paws and road to elyris. And he used to get teased, as he used to be a loner.

Haha, accepted! c:

NAME: INXIS

ALIAS: Aphrodite (Goddess of Love), Xis, ect.

GENDER: Female

AGE: Just turning two years old.

RANK: Alpha

MATE: None

PUPS: None

INFATUATION: None

DESCRIPTION:  Inxis is a smaller- more petite looking female- however with a bite far worse than her bite- she doesn't like being teased about her size- even thought it still might be a very great quality- as due to her smaller body, she has help running much faster than if she was her normal size. Inxis also has nice-looking white fur, a slight tan when caught in the sun- but otherwise is a pure white color as she is an arctic wolf. The female wolves muzzle is a dark color- possibly brown and or black mixed in as if she dipped it the tip of her snout in mud- some might question that strange marking that stands out mostly on her white body.

Inxis enjoy it however, and even has the same type of color stretched out over her back a bit- a small wiggly line that goes over it and stops at her shoulders. The female also has slight feathery lush fur like ordinary wolves, however she seems to have some feathery on her ears- and her legs slightly. What also is noticed is her copper eyes- it usually holds a soft look- as she is incredibly sweet and not one to judge very quickly. Inxis, the silly female, has a vibrant and young look about her- and she is usually found with a silly tongue hanging from her open mouth in the warmer days- giving her a more approachable look.

However the female's very friendly nature might not be liked by some, she doesn't mind and she does enjoy cheering others up even when not wanted or needed- as she is incredibly persistent which others might find annoying about her- even though she doesn't really care what others think.  Inxis from afar, can be sometimes referred to as Aphrodite, which in Greek is the Goddess of Love. She enjoys that alias greatly- and it does fit her incredibly well as she is one to love all things- and enjoys the little things in life unlike most do. She is incredibly outgoing and feminine- and often is very open to meeting anyone.

The young female is shown to act her age, sometimes flaunting her good-looks about in a joke like manner- who does this rarely to not be seen as a jerk or to cause unwanted attention. She is pleasant to be around, and has a good-heart, and is protective to her friends and loved ones. Her love stretches to all- despite whatever they had done in the past- giving her the trait of innocence and naivety- which might give her a slight problem in the future.

SAMPLE POST:

A small speck of snow- from the light ones from above drifted on the gentle wind of the night- a calm but slightly cold breeze that forced many to gather in their homes. The small speck continued to fall slowly- coming to rest on the end of a black nose. The young female gave a small snort, and blinked as her gaze snapped from upwards to look at the cold plop that landed atop her nose. The soft-hearted female didn't mind it- however did give a small shake of her head before resting it back upon her white paws. Her tail behind the mass of fur twitched lightly as she lay, under a pine tree that had white covering its dark green leaves. Inxis opened her mouth in a yawn, the flash of a pink tongue and her sharp white teeth were shown before they disappeared back into the abyss of her mouth.

The young female gave a small, gentle head movement- raising her head in a swift motion as she scanned the area, her ears back as they usually were as she stood up, tail giving a small swish once more as she rose up- giving a small stretch before beginning to trot through the snow- which she noted almost matched her white fur. How nice was this? A good hunter she'd make, wouldn't she? The female seemed to muse about these thoughts in her head as her usual graceful gait came forthe, making the quiet female seem almost silent as she made her way through the small patches of greenery- and of course- the cold snow.

She hadn't seen much of food around here, which worried her greatly- however she didn't bother with it that much since for the time-being she was full, and when hunger striked her again- she'd find food. What use was it worrying over that? She began to dwell on her past- how her family and her old pack seemed to always worry, how silly!
Inxis thought others should always be happy, despite it being maybe a bad day-be happy! She was always happy when she felt she should be- what use was it being depressed? The naive female closed her eyes as she breathed in the crisp air, her ears gently twitching to listen to the thud of her movements and the harsh wind- which seemed to strangely soothe the female and add to the calm mood she felt.

However, the young one was quite lonely, oh how she'd love another pack! She was incredibly loyal, and would possibly make a good hunter if the terrain was on her side, but how come she could barely find any of her species? The female shook her head, pushing the thoughts from her head as she continued her walk, a happy aura seeming to dance around her despite the harsh climate.

Title: Re: αℓαѕкαи єѕ¢αρє ; A wolf roleplay
Post by: Kasai on April 07, 2013, 05:25:55 am
Name: Faolan  (pronounced: ”fwail + awn", of Irish origin)
Nicknames/Alias: Faol (pronounced: "fwail"), though he prefers his full name.
Gender: Male
Age: 4 years old
Rank: Main Council (if permitted). He has fought for this role and won't permit anyone to steal it from him. He is loyal to his alpha and is not afraid to speak his mind to her.
Mate?: None. It does not seem logical for anyone but the alphas to have pups at this time. The only reason Faolan finds that logical is that the pack needs new leaders on a regular cycle, especially with human threats.
Pups?: None. As stated above, he doesn't see it logical.
Infatuation? aka 'crush' (Optional): Faolan is a very strong thinker, but only in the logical sense. His focus is not on mating at this time, but he would not oppose to a female should she gain his affections.
Description of your character:
Looks: (Better seen in pictures). Faolan has sharp gold eyes and a mixture of fur colors ranging from light beige to reds to blacks. His build is strong and large and he will often use this to his advantage.

Personality: Unless you are talking strategies or reporting to this wolf, you are wasting your breath. He quickly become disinterested with anyone complaining or whining about their own problems. His mind is focused on the pack as a whole and it is one of the reasons he was destined to be a part of the main council. He understands the role he has in the pack and he is quick to put anyone in their place if needed. If one wolf is out of line, it could risk the safety of the pack. While he does seem a bit cold on the outside, Faolan does offer second, and sometimes even third, chances.

While he is a loyal member of the pack, Faolan could operate just fine on his own. His build offers him that protection. He has taken a bullet to the shoulder in the past and he has since recovered. If he is sick or injured, he does not stay that way for long, at least he doesn't play it off that way. If he is sick with a small virus or injured from a bullet wound, he will do everything in his power to focus his attentions on someone else. He is very stoic and calm in most situations. His social expertise is lacking, but for what he lacks in social skills he makes up for with loyalty and strength. While he may not be the best shoulder to cry on, he will always help to the best of his abilities (though whether it's to actually help or to shut them up is always up for debate). Most males do not understand Faolan's personality due to his lack of searching for a mate. However, Faolan realizes that most of these males lack the logical brain he has been gifted with. Due to this "gifted brain", however, Faolan has been the subject of ridicule more times to count. With his strong body and great size, most of this ridicule is done behind his back. Though he has caught some of these comments from time to time, he sees it as a petty thing to bother with this taunting.

Sample post: (taken from another RP about wolves)
Blaise & Pali

The brothers were having a significant amount of disappointment at every turn since they got up this morning. A hunter had almost found them, no one else had been seen for miles, and there was no prey to be found. Pali gave a small whimper, causing Blaise to throw him a glare. "I'm sorry. I'm just so hungry," he muttered, his stomach giving a growl. Blaise sighed, his breath creating a small cloud of air in front of him. "Just keep it down. We'll find food soon," he replied, scanning the vacant field. Sure enough, there was nothing but snow to be seen. After a few more hours, the two finally reached some woods. Blaise could hear the small sigh of relief Pali made. "Don't be so calm, Pali. The hunters can still get us in here," Blaise reminded him, hopping over a tree trunk with his brother following. "Yes, but there is food here," Pali replied, his tail wagging ever so slightly. The older of the two wanted to roll his eyes at the younger. Food was essential, but food wasn't Blaise's primary worry. He knew, of course, that Pali's main concern was never food either, but his stomach seemed to be overriding his brain temporarily. Pali sniffed the ground while Blaise scanned the area. "Tons of prey here, a bit faded, but they've been here. I smell some other wolves have been her as well, but the scent is a few weeks old. I wonder if they-" Pali was cut short by a human howl. Blaise perked his ears and Pali's eyes widened. "You don't think anyone would be stupid enough to reply to that. Do you?" Blaise was about to answer when a wolf's howl rang through the air. With the resulting panic of the two brothers, one might have thought that a gunshot had been fired. Scrambling away from the spot they stood, they ran deeper into the forest, far away from the human howl and to the left of the wolf howl. Finally out of breath, Blaise stopped them at the top of a small hill surrounded by trees. It provided decent enough cover for them to catch their breath. "Why would anyone reply to that? Do they want to be killed," Pali asked, not really expecting an answer from his brother, who was shaking his head at the stupidity of the situation.

He sees Elyaris as nothing but a fantasy, a lovely one, but not realistic. Of course, he would love to enter this paradise, but he must live in the time and place he is in currently.

Name: Katalia
Nicknames/Alias: Kat, she doesn't care what you call her.
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Years old
Rank: Main Council
Mate?: None
Pups?: None, but it isn't a great time to have any even though she would love to have some of her own someday.
Infatuation?: None at the moment.
Description of your character: Katalia has white fur and honey brown eyes. She is a medium sized wolf, just slightly smaller than the average female. Due to her smaller size she is more agile and quick on her paws, she often uses her speed to outrun her enemies. She is often very kind to others, never turning aggressive towards anyone, she believes that being in a calm state helps them understand. When she is not in her more serious attitude she is almost 'puppy' like, she loves to run and play with the other pack members, if they want to of course.(This is terrible T.T)
Sample post:
(I hope you don't mind that I use one of my posts from another RP. o3o)
Merldae's floppy ears perked up slightly when she saw the hunters going to go get the pack's meal "I want to go!" she beamed as she leaped off the log and followed behind them. She fell back with and oof when one of them stopped abruptly and faced her "You can't come with us, you are still too young." he said "But-" Merldae was cut off "No buts, we don't want anything bad to happen to you." Merldae growled "But something bad happened to my mom didn't it?" The hunter lifted his head and looked at her with sad eyes "We're sorry about your mum..Just go play with the other pups okay?" he looked back at the rest of the group "Maybe when you're older you can come with us, but not now." he spun around and ran to catch up with the others "Hmpf." Merldae growled. Merldae slowly walked around the camp, peering into the empty dens just holding that her mother was still here and that she was just hiding, but she knew better she was never coming back. Merldae went to the den she and her mother shared and laid right where she normally would with her mother, she stared outside and watched the birds fly by. She wondered what would have happened if she and her mother never came by this place, what if they just stayed on their own? Would her mom still be here? She often wondered and wished that they never found this pack or just wished her mom didn't go hunting that day. A thought came to her mind, What if she is still out there? But she's just lost?, Merldae jumped up and went to the tree's edge and sat "Maybe if I sit here she will smell me and come back!" she yipped, she wagged her tail and waited.

Name: Sampson (Sam-son)
Nicknames/Alias: Sammy Boy, Sampson.
Gender: Male
Age:Three years young.
Rank: Subordinate
Mate?: Not available.
Pups?: He is currently unsure of this. His history bear's much.
Infatuation?: He is quite shy when it comes to these things. He will never be disloyal to his alpha and thus, he attempts to put such things at the back of his brains.
Description of your character: Sampson is a very well built young wolf that loves to show of his strength by play fighting, mostly with males, but can take on the stronger females if they are willing. He can look very serious, but this is not to be confused with his true colors. He is basically a puppy in a adults body when he is excited or playful, but this soothes down to his adult stage when he is responsible for something, annoyed or just plain bored.

Sampson is quite disappointed by the fact that the original alphas departed, and left their daughter in charge and is quite unsure of if that was a good idea. Sampson had a older dog in mind, and he would of prefered it that way since he is older than the alpha herself. Even though, he respects her and aids the pack to the best of his ability when out attempting to hunt and scouting.

Moving onto the brutes history:Sampson was born at a breeding sanctuary in Canada with several other siblings to play with. Him and a few others of his siblings were to grow up in the wild to improve the chances of more wolves becoming one in the Alaskan fields. A few months past and the siblings had parted from one another. They each roamed the forests and snow fields in attempt to find a pack and settle down. By the age of one and a half, the young wolf had found a large pack snoozing late at night. A few of the alpha's daughters where awake and chewing at small voles they had found underground. Sampson approached them and they immediately became cautious of the young male in their fathers territory. Sampson thought this was a great start, for he could have a pack of his own. One of the brave she-wolves tenderly walked towards him and they sniffed each other for a small while, both fascinated by the new wolf. He stayed with her that night until she was ready to mate, and in the early morning, the she-wolves father had awoken and saw the pair together. He immediately went into a dominate, defensive mode over his daughter. Sampson was not about to find  out if their was going to be a fight, for he urged himself and his mate to run away. The she-wolf was unsure and stayed put but the young male had to leave, unless he wanted to be torn to shreds.

A very short while after that, perhaps a few weeks of running, Sampson came over the pack in which he now calls home. At this time, the old alphas where ruling, but after a few years, this soon changed and the young brute wondered if it was a good choice to end up with this new pack.

Sample post: Sampson made it to the lake and he slowed down his speed. The soft, white sand sinked his paws into its warmth as he neared the lake. The blood on his body had now hardened in the wind, which dried it. Sampson knew that it was going to be hard to remove the stains, but he could not constantly look like he had been in a pool of blood. Reaching the edge of the lake, he took in a shaky breath and walked into the cool, clear water. He moved deeper, wading over small laps of waves until his paws Left the ground as he swam. Kicking his legs lightly, Sampson moved outwards in order to get in good depths of water to dive down into. The young brute had loved water, ever since he was a young puppy. He used to play in his water bowl when he was with the humans at the zoo, pretending to swim, and at this, his mother had always called him a 'water baby'. Dipping his head downwards to see the water level, Sampson saw that it was all clear to dive. The hunter dipped his head back down and heaved his body downwards, the tips of his hind paws still wiggling at the surface.

Sampson continued to enjoy the water and it got warmer as he got used to the waters feeling. Popping his head back to the surface and sneezing, the hunter had realized that the dusk was approaching. He looked up, still remembering to kick her back legs, and closed his eyes. He loved her home and the surrounding area of the land, and he had rarely appreciated it, but looking at the sky turn to orange, he realized how lucky he was.

Other?:Escape to elyaris, Earth beneath my paws.

Name: Eclipse
Nicknames/Alias: She prefers Eclipse
Gender: Female/ She-wolf
Age: Four years
Rank: Subordinate
Mate?: Not available
Pups?: She has bared no young.
Infatuation?: She is the sucker for softness in a male, but She would never let a thing like love get in her way whilst she is attempting to survive.

Description of your character: Being quite self-conscious, Eclipse has developed quite a timid personality when she's around people she doesn't really know. It takes her a while to warm up to people and feel comfortable in the presence of other canines. Around dogs she would consider friends, Eclipse is quite outgoing but she still feels a tad nervous when she first meets up with them. Trust is an important part in this girl's life. If she doesn't feel she can trust you then she just won't talk to you about personal matters.

Loyal: If she manages to feel totally comfortable around another canine, Eclipse's loyalty to this dog would be overwhelming. Eclipse is the kind of person who would do anything for the people she cared about, she would literally take a bullet for them if she was ever in that kind of situation. In a relationship she expects the same sort of loyalty back and if she feels you don't care for her as much as she cares for you, she'll tell you where to go even if it's going to hurt her more than it hurts you.

History: Eclipse was born in a quiet pack with her mother, father and brothers. She had quite the normal puppy hood and decided, at the tender age of 1 year, to go her own way with her brothers. She stayed with her brothers for about two years until tragedy struck. The three dogs were scaling the mountains and because they were of a sturdy breed, neither of them expected what was about to happen. They traveled in a line with the youngest brother at the head of the pack and the eldest in front of Eclipse. Being at the back of the troop, she called out to her brothers as she began to fall behind. Her single bark startled her oldest brother and he stumbled. He lost his footing and fell. To this day Eclipse blames herself for the death of her brother and after the incident she decided to leave, not wanting to risk the life of her other sibling. She has traveled alone for a long while before she stumbled across a pack. She stayed there for over a year and she never regretted any moment with the pack.

Eclipse

Breathing in the fresh, early morning air of winter, Eclipse stirred as the soft light pierced through a gap in the secluded den. The female Timber wolf licked her maw as she yawned silently, the soft rustle of the snow, picking itself up and swirling around soothing her ears as the morning orders were going to be given out. Her soft, thick pelt shivered as her tired legs refused to move from her sleeping spot.

After a few moment of deciding, the she-wolf rose her front legs, her bones aching in refusal, but she managed and finally had awoken fully to stand properly. Eclipse stretched each of her legs individually as the light grey sky started to turn into a very pale bluish white. She stood with dignity, like her mother had told and she strode out of the opening of her den to greet the new day with a warm welcome. Turning her head slightly, she saw the other subordinates snoozing. She was not surprised, for it was still very early. Her head turned once more downwards to the ground, the cold snow flicking itself upwards and pilling around her soft limbs. She nudged it with her damp, dark nose, the white seasonal flakes dusting themselves onto her snout. Eclipse shook her head in sadness. It was far to cold for the she-wolf's liking. She had to be gone soon enough to help forage for food, and hope to come back with at-least a fish, or perhaps a mouse. The young dog had been copying the foxes in their pouncing action to gain access to prey's tunnels. She very rarely succeeded, for she was not as sly as the sleek, small dogs. Resting her head into the cold substance, she dragged her shoulders and face along the snow with her hind legs, making herself feel much more awake. The snow pasted itself onto her fur, the flakes winning their way to her skin and making the timber wolf shake her body from the coldness. She lay in the snow for a while until the mumble of yawning of dogs started. She hoped today there was going to be some partly-full stomach's.

Sampson

Sampson breathed in deeply as he stretched out his front legs. He had shortly woken up from a deep slumber, his tongue licking his muzzle as he yawned. The cold air of morning swept its way into the den, embracing the young dog like a cold blanket on bare skin. He rolled his head as it ached to stay down on the floor, the only spot where he was able to stay warm. His neck was was partly lying on a six year old she-wolf, acting as a blanket to her. Sampson always preferred to sleep alongside someone for the extra warmth, especially in such harsh times. Inhaling and breathing out a sigh, the brute rose his head, his eye lids still half way down his enchanting, ice blue eyes. The day had started and Sampson was not going to give it a warm welcome.

Breathing in the smooth morning air once more, he shifted himself onto his stomach and shook his handsome head from a few flakes of snow. He then slowly began to rise onto his paws, his sturdy build aiding himself to awake. The cold den was very weary, the walls enclosing him and packing the subordinates into a tight bunch. A few rustles outside soothed his ears and he decided to crawl upwards and outwards. He was greeted by the evergreen pine trees as soon as a large paw stepped outside. He loved to weave around them for ages when he was younger. He still does, but not when other wolves were looking. He did not want to feel like a child when he was supposed to be a mature adult. Sampson licked his soft maw, his handsome coat shimmering as the tree's broke away above for the tiniest amount of light from the sun to shine upon him.

Sampson felt the urge to play as his body was now awake, but the less mature wolves were sleeping. The mature dog paced further into the snowfall, the flakes sticking to his fluffy legs. He rolled his muscular shoulders forwards as he walked, a blanket of snow attempting to settle onto his fine pelt. The day was new but not welcoming. The food was rationed and it never filled his stomach, in fact, Sampson could not remember when it was full. But he had to push up through the harsh times and aid his pack mates to the best of his abilities, and this meant he had to cut out the puppy play.

...Butch...

The bristling wind buffeted Butch's soft fur, his blank eyes staring into the wind. His muscles ached, and his eyes felt dreary, but he didn't show it. He noticed young wolves strolling past him, going to find some food for the hungry pack. He knew he should be doing that to, but he couldn't find the energy to. His heart thumped, and his eyes drooped, but he shook it out of him. Soon, maybe a couple of seconds later, Butch pushed himself to his paws... They immediately started to sink into the cold, mushy snow, so he knew he had to keep on moving. He started to head towards the pine trees, where he normally headed for a early morning walk.

It felt colder when he found himself deeper in the forest, and his head was held low, keeping snow away from his eyes. I really shouldn't go on my own...  Butch thought, knowing bears, loners, anything could be out there... His pelt felt like soggy fur, and his legs felt like they were going to drop off.

Ill let you look inside me, through the s t a i n s and through the c r a c k s

And in the darkness of this moment, you see the good and the bad.

But try not to judge me, 'cause we've walked down different paths,

But it brought us here together, so I won't take that back.

Inxis- the white furred female wolf lay- curled up in a snowy outcropping that had used to live right atop a rock- until a low, drooping branch coated in the white snow got low enough for the snow and the rock to create some sort of overhang- which she deemed appropriate shelter for the night- which she began to think was rare since the cold snow and harsh wind always seemed to get worse at fall of the night. That didn't matter much, anyway, night and days were always miserable for the pack, and most of the wolves in it were skinny and needed food. But the usual abundant prey was long gone- no- some game was still here, only small little things that were snacks, but what bothered the female the most was that the small game seemed to be full of the 'foaming sickness', at least that's what she called it.

That disease was absolutely disgusting and terrifying, foaming mouths, a case of insanity, the whole ordeal seemed to send shivers down the small alpha's spine. Inxis, the young female seemed to have nightmares of those foaming things, even having one dream about it biting her- and that terrified her greatly, which ended up with her waking up biting and snapping at the air like a crazed, caged, animal. The female wolf however- had a different dream this night, or perhaps a vision? That didn't matter really, the dream intrigued her when she first saw it wasn't one of her usual foaming dreams- and that was incredibly rare as she didn't seem to have any good dreams. This so called 'vision' seemed to even fill her with some sort of hope; but not a lot as she didn't understand the meaning of it at all. It was a dream of a land that had rich green grass, with the ground as soft as any moss that your paws would sink right in, and slip right out as well. No dangers were about in this land- and don't forget the large amounts of game that lived in the dream, so much that she couldn't even count the amount of delicious large elk she saw. Flowers and other bursts of color were all over the green terrain, and they all smelled of different kinds of vegetation- oh how she loved nature. The tweeting of birds and other various sounds were all in this paradise, with spring waters that tasted pure- and were full of fish that were easy to catch.

However, the dream quickly turned into some sort of nightmare- perhaps she had ruined it? No, she was back in the dreaded winter land, but nothing bad was happening, no foaming rabbits, no blood- just strange little happenings that seemed to be calling to her. Black birds that flew about her white head, beckoning her to cross the mountains, those dreaded ones that caused many to fall and die, or get stabbed by a rock and bleed to death, or possibly just get eaten by the many large creatures that roamed those deadly mountains, but she could only follow the crows, and when they finally reached the top, she could see more snow, and winter, and then, her dream ended. The alpha snapped her head upwards, her lips pulled back in an angry snarl as her head swiveled about, her ears back in a threatened way- and her tail raising as she scanned the area. She was obviously confused on what was going on after that strange dream, but quickly calmed down and gave a small yawn. Inxis stood up, stretching out her tired limbs and wincing at the pain in her gut- they'd have to find some food soon, but only small scraps were about, how would they ever find something that would feed the whole pack? The alpha female gave a small sigh, tail drooping which was not what she usually did- and walked away from the outcropping, to the main lands where her pack usually was, many were still awaking- but some were already awake. The wind blew against her fur, as the storm seemed to already quicken upon the alpha getting up, and she turned her head to look at the snow that continued to fall- and gave a sigh as she looked around. The winter was beautiful and all, but sometimes beauty became the beast. Thoughts of her dream seemed to dance about in her head, and she looked to the sky as the calls of birds were heard, she seemed to appear deep in thought, and her tail swished as another thought danced about in her head.

Thoughts of Elyaris.

Apollo
Sunlight drifted through the opening in the den, causing Apollo to open his eyes and stare out of the den. Then spot next to him where Arya had lay sleeping peacefully next to him was now empty and cold. He could see fresh snow piled naturally near the den entrance, and quietly, hoping to not disturb any of the fellow subordinates still resting, he hauled himself to his feet and pushed his way out of the cozy den into the barren forest. Blinking, Apollo could make out the figure of Sampson stretching and beginning to wander, Butch heading out for a morning walk, and Arya staring out across into the distant snowy woodland.

With a huff, he remembered she was being a stubborn elk again and had been refusing to eat for the past two days. Apollo had tried many times to get her to eat, even force-feeding but every time she managed to ward off his attacks. If he mentioned the word "food" in front of her, he'd probably get a hard bite to the ear. He turned away without a second glance and retreated to a nearby patch of sun. The snow was thinner in the little space and green blades of grass stuck out of the ground. The small amount of warmth given was enough to let the male relax down onto his side, letting his multi-colored fur absorb whatever heat the sun gave. Apollo's eyes closed, his breathing slower until he was in rhythm. His head laid on the side and his tongue lolled out the side of his mouth. The soft sound of crunching snow and scent of his alpha gave Apollo a burst of alertness, his ears pricked up, but he didn't open his eyes. Her scent suddenly wafted over him and he opened his eyelids, golden eyes narrowing through slits as he gazed around the scene again. Inxis had indeed arrived from her slumber, and he immediately glanced at Arya who looked away from her leader quickly.

Please, He begged silently. Let there be an uncomplicated day today. The last thing we need is another argument or fight. Apollo said that about the whole pack. Without food there would be short-tempered moods and snappy replies. The male could name a few who would take that aggressively and start an unnecessary fight, whether it was for food or just because of the unjust circumstances the lands were facing. A tugging suspicion in the back of his mind was suggesting that more wolves were becoming resentful to Inxis's rule, through no fault of her own, but just because of her age and experience.

Arya
Frost had covered her fur. The first light rays glinted off Arya's eyes as she stared off into the forest, like she had been for a while. Blinking a bunch of times, Arya shifted from her position of sitting beneath a bare pine tree that had luckily not fallen down yet. Her muscles ached like fire as she moved to her paws and hunger gnawed at her stomach. She hadn't eaten in two days despite Apollo's pleas because she did not feel she was literally starving yet, even if it felt like her insides were being eaten. The stubborn female had refused to eat until she found it truly necessary, though Arya was not dumb enough to go without water.

Arya stretched her limbs, shaking the snowy ice off her pelt. As she did so, Apollo shuffled out into her view, but did not appear to be noticing her. Leaving it at that, she searched for others who might be awake. She wanted to go hunting, but she was certain Apollo would only say something like: "How 'bout you eat first? Then we'll see." or "Saffy, I'll shove a squirrel down your throat before we do that.". He was annoying that way. The tight den where the subordinates slept was still quiet, except for Sampson who seemed to be up early and, of course, Apollo who was always up early.  Huffing indignantly from having snowflakes drop onto her muzzle, Arya shook herself again, ruffling up her fluffy, heavy winter coat. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw one of the council wolves heading out of the clearing into the forest. She held her breath for a moment, deciding whether or not to follow him, then thought against it and faced the way she had been before, leaning back onto her hind legs to sit down again and ignoring the burning sensation in her bones. Wind seemed to lick her face as it passed, leaving the fur brushed out of her eyes and a clear vision. Arya shook involuntarily from the cold but kept her ground sitting there, waiting and watching for anything to happen. Weariness crept into her mind, battling against the will to stay awake.

The sound of padding feet forced Arya glance behind her, eyes narrowed. Her muscles stiffened as Inxis walked into her view, but not toward her. The female alpha was beginning to wake, although Arya herself had been awake for hours. She snorted, averting her gaze from Inxis and back to the forest ahead, her thoughts wandering. We need food. If Inxis doesn't do anything soon, someone needs to knock some sense into her. Hasn't she heard of Elyaris? Maybe we should... Her mind drifted off. Arya wasn't sure whether she actually believed in Elyaris or not, though tales of it from Apollo sounded like it was real. Apollo had never made her think that he could pull a cruel prank like that, and it surely wasn't him that knew of Elyaris in the first place. All of the wolves in the pack probably knew about the rumors.

Nicknames/Alias: Yeva
Gender: Hermaphrodite (Functionally female)
Age: Around 1 year
Rank: Subordinate
Mate: None [If I'm right, unless you're an alpha you can't have mates anyway]
Pups: None
Infatuation: None
Description of your character: A pale white coat with beiges and light greys showing through, the beige being the usual top layer with the white underbelly and face and the greys being subtle but streaking the back from where the neck starts to the tail base. The ears are tipped white and the legs are white all the way to the elbows and knees, climbing up the front of the back leg by the knee to line it until it reaches the under belly. The tail is tipped with grey and its underside is white. It is ill thin. Lastly, the eyes are yellow and it has a thick fur coat.
Sample post: It's so cold, so very cold. In a place like this, one would need thick fur to survive this frozen desert. And fortunately that was what a particular tundra wolf had. The pale figure carried its pace with a slow trot and a low head. Its golden eyes glanced back and forth to scan the terrain. Fortunately, there was none, this gave the young figure a chance to ease itself, letting the hairs flatten somewhat on her back and shoulders. Though relaxed she'd be better off with another life form of some sort near by, for how thin she was her skeletal structure began to show its shaping from behind her skin. She could of found prey, preferably smaller forms of it in fact so she wouldn't have to struggle with it, after all she was a bit frail from malnourishment, so a dead or decaying corpse to give this walking skeleton some more energy would suffice, heck plants to dig up usually have bulbs that would suffice. If there wasn't a prey, then another pack may have the ability to offer it something if generous enough, or, like most predators, they'd be willing to put it out of its misery. Without the ability to talk, though, the tundra wolf would have to hope and rely on another wolves sympathy.

Katalia
Katalia hadn't slept that well that night, her mind was elsewhere but her body stayed behind, her mind had traveled to a wonderful place. Where there was no pain or suffering, there was also enough food for the pack to live off of for generations to come. The sound of crunching snow shook her from her fantasy, some of the subordinates were already awake. Katalia sighed and slowly stood up, times were tough, the pack wasn't as large as it used to be, no pups had been born in awhile, mainly due to these troubling times. Katalia slowly stepped out of the den, the bright morning sun shined down over the land, she looked at the sparkling snow. The sight was beautiful, it almost made her forget about their current situation. It was quickly reminded by the sound of a growling stomach coming from a nearby sleeping pack member. She sighed once again then looked for Inxis, many questioned her leadership but Katalia never did, Inxis was doing the best she could. She looked over to her alpha before trekking into the pine forest to try to find anything to eat, which was also troublesome since it wasn't easy finding food that wasn't..infected by that mouth foaming disease.
Katalia was a little way away from the den site when the sound of flapping wings entered her ears. She quickly dropped into a hunter's crouch then proceeded to stalk forward. Her ears did not deceive her. There in front of her sat a raven, it's sleek black feathers shimmered under the sun's rays. Katalia studied the bird carefully, last thing she wanted to do was sink her fangs into a disease ridden bird. The bird was acting normally, he was just digging in the snow, obviously trying to find a meal for himself. As quick as she could she sprung forward, the raven squawked in anger and fright and began pecking at her muzzle. Katalia growled and bit down, the crunching of it's fragile bones entered the air. She raised her head then began trotting back to the dens. Small wounds were speckled across her muzzle, but it didn't bother her all that much, they didn't hurt. She saw Inxis sitting and looking up towards the sky, she appeared to be deep in thought. Katalia slowly made her way towards her, the raven dangling from her jaws "Hello Inxis." she greeted with a respectful nod. She dropped the raven at her alpha's feet "Here you go, thought you might be hungry." she smiled, she nudged the bird closer to her. She knew it was lucky to find a bird of this size, this might be the last time she will ever be so fortunate. "This was a lucky catch, he was too busy foraging to even notice me." She chuckled. She turned her head to look at the slowly falling snow "It's beautiful isn't it?" she sighed, then decided to ask the question "Do you think Elyaris is a real place?" She lowered her ears then looked down at her paws "Sometimes I do." She lifted her head "Well I'll see you later." she nosed her shoulder "Don't worry too much." she grinned. She walked back to the den, taking a seat at the entrance. She then watched the snow fall, the small white flakes soon mesmerized her, making her forget about their troubles.

...Butch...

Butch stared into the sky, his eyes blank with fear. What if we don't make it past these harsh times... This is the worst Winter ever... Butch thought, wondering how many other were sick, but didn't show it. Suddenly, while he walking, he smelt something unusual in this Winter weather. His leathery nose picked up a scent, a delicious scent! Squirrel... His heart pounded, and he wondered if he would ruin this chance for the pack to have a little more food. Remembering his mentoring, he ducked down, his ears flattened on his head. Great, the first chance to find food, and I'm weak as a weasel, and dark as a bat... He stalked forwards, and saw the red Squirrel facing the opposite direction, licking his paws eagerly. Butch breathed in deeply, and started to stalk forwards, his heart pounding. Then... He bounced, and landed directly on the Squirrel. Butch gave a short, sharp yelp, but he didn't know why, but it hurt. He found out that the Squirrel was biting him, he growled, and tugged it off. He bit its neck with a sharp bite, and it soon stopped moving. "I done it!" He barked, and chased his tail happily.

He reached the camp, the squirrel smell overwhelming, but he knew he had to give it to a different member of the pack. He looked around, wondering who he should give it to... Then he saw a male wolf, Apollo. He trotted towards him, his tail flicking. "Hi Apollo, you hungry?" He asked, dropping the limp Squirrel on the snow covered ground. "You can have it if you want." He offered, wondering what the young male was thinking. "Morning walks do help find prey!" He chuckled, and sat down. The snow was making his black pelt more white, so he flicked some off.

Ill let you look inside me, through the s t a i n s and through the c r a c k s

And in the darkness of this moment, you see the good and the bad.

But try not to judge me, 'cause we've walked down different paths,

But it brought us here together, so I won't take that back.

The young female wolf continued to scan the skies, her tail wrapped around her body in an attempt to warm herself up some more- and due to her smaller size, it helped some but not a lot. She gave a small shudder- black dancing about in the sky which made her think back to her dream. She shook her head, a chocolate-dipped muzzle raised to the sky and following one particular blur of black that went off in another direction. Inxis was completely lost in observing these things- and even though she knew they were prey- something was strangely off about them. It scared her- a bit at least, they might have the foaming disease, and that single thought made Inxis curl her lips back in fear. She continued to ponder, deciding whether or not to follow these birds- she shook her head and lowered it as others continued to awake. The alpha nodded at some, giving her usually friendly smile- however it was weaker today and more-so forced than a genuine grin, mostly for the fact she knew the pack was growing angry of her decisions. She'd have to move fast- before someone would attempt to over throw her. She was about to walk up to a few- maybe a quick chat to the main council? But was quickly interrupted by Katalie- a nice female that was pretty friendly to her. "Hello Katalie." The alpha said, tail giving the smallest wag- however not much as she stared at the raven being offered to her. Her eyes widened slightly, and her copper-eyed gaze studied the dead bird. She quickly snapped out of it, giving a weak smile to her. "Thank you." It was a nice offer, really, but the female would rather offer it offer to another member of the pack- so they'd at least have some food in their stomach. Then, the other asked her a question, and Inxis eyed her, and for the first time in the day- gave a small genuine smile. "Of course I do, Kat."

Copper eyes observed the female as she walked away, and gave a small swish of her tail at the bird- eyeing it as she scanned the skies- hoping this didn't screw up the chances of her dream. Oh how silly she was! Trying to follow a dream? Inxis gave a small sigh, head lowered as she stared at the bird, nodding at the sleek feathers but otherwise didn't eat it, mostly lick it to enjoy the taste and possibly groom it, but otherwise left it alone. She didn't want to waste Katalie's offer though, and lowered her head to thank the raven for the food, before eating a small portion of it, then gave it to another pack member to enjoy- sharing was something needed now-a-days. "Here you go, I have even a little bit, but I want you to have some food as well." Then, with that, Inxis dropped the half-eaten bird at her paws, giving a friendly smile before trotting away, past some other wolves before deciding that they'd go on a morning walk- maybe to find more food for the pack? "I think we should all go on a walk to find some food." She called to the pack, tail raising slightly as her ears became erect. The alpha trotted towards the forest, beckoning the others to follow as she moved at a steady pace, as to make sure others could follow her as well before she and the pack got too far.

The young wolf scanned the area, occasionally finding spotting a bird on the ground, to only realize foam danced around it, perhaps something else had killed it? Inxis shook her head, her eyes continuing to scan the terrain as her tail swished about, before her head snapped over towards the left as a black blur flew right into the trees. Completely forgetting she had possibly had the pack following her, in an instant, the female alpha took after it, her tongue dangling from her mouth as she raced after the bird, only freezing when she realized that she couldn't see it anymore. The female desperately scanned the area, head swiveling this way and that that any others watching might think she'd gone crazy. Then, she spotted it, perched right atop a snowy rock- looking directly at her, or looking her way? The female didn't care, only trotting up to the bird as if she was mesmerized, the bird didn't seem scared however, it actually stared right back at her as she eyed it, becoming so close that her muzzle was only a few inches from the black bird. She didn't attempt to kill it, only stare at it as it gave a small call towards her, pecking at her nose a bit before flying into the sky- strangely joined by a few other of its kind, they flew in a formation for a bit overhead the rock, making the alpha give a small bark at them- before they all flew off into a direction- a direction she hoped she didn't have to follow.

Her dream was going to lead them to the mountains, or so she began to think, and her tail twitched nervously as the calls were continued to be heard, she gave a low bark once more, before she stared at the birds who were leaving. Oh no.

Sampson

Sampson slumped the side of his muscled body onto the snow flaked ground, the weight of him causing him to sink down into the crunchy substance. After a small struggle, he had rolled onto his back, his legs flailing in the air as he maneuvered his body into a awkward back rub. He knocked his hind against a tender part in the snow and the coldness around him caved in, a small avalanche of the white, flakes falling onto his bare patch on the inside of his hind legs. He immediately struggled to get back onto his front paws so he could shake the coldness from his freezing inner thighs. After he flopped on his back, he managed to grip his shoulder on a rock at the bottom of the inching snow and heave himself around. He finally, after a good few minuets of looking like a silly puppy, he had rose to him paws, a great clump of hard snow sticking around his legs.

After a quick inhale of humiliation, he walked with heavy limbs towards Eclipse. She had always acted like a sister to him. After nudging her shoulder quickly and with a small grin, he spoke in a very  low voice of his intentions. "I think i know a source of food. The foxes. It could be our only chance of a proper meal in a whole year." He barked, satisfied with his knowledge, but it seemed his 'sister' was not.

Eclipse

After a thorough groom of her legs and paws, the she-wolf inhaled the cold air faintly as she remembered what her alpha had previously said. A land of elsewhere, where the prey was endless and the warmth was glorious. The tree branches and leaves flowing with the breeze as it  entwined with her multi-colored pelt.  The final sense of spring as it turned into summer, the long days and the bearable heat and finally, a new generation, after so long, to be born. This did not seem like a paradise. This seemed like a heaven, just ready to be awoken with her alpha's word to move on and out. She wished she would make up her mind quickly. The lack of light was really starting to put the dog into a state of depression. But as she attempted to picture what the autumn would look like, a nudge grew her attention and she was soon staring at Sampson. She knew he meant well, but she hated disturbances.  "Yes, and the reason you  disturb me is...?" She paused and listened to his accuse. At first she wondered about it, the sight of her feast on a fox made her mouth drool, but no, this was a terrible idea, and Eclipse had her reasons. "No, dumbo. Okay, picture this. We attempted to catch a fox, we chase it, we attempted to chase it down into its sly little burrow. Bam, your stuck, and i am not going to be the one to get you out of there. Okay, now picture this, you somehow manage to catch a fox, you bring it back and to all these hungry faces, you are going to eat it in front of everyone? And finally, picture one more thing. You bring the fox back, some others want the large portion of meat and then there will be a huge fight over who gets the meat. I think the alpha has already thought of this, don't you?" She barked, huffing as she ended her description to her brother-like figure.

Sampson&Eclipse

After listening to the very wise words of his 'sister', the pair decided to sit together for a while. Sampson was attempting to see if snow would fill him up, and Eclipse was scanning her eyes outside of the territory, her ears acting like radars to pick up the sound of a bird, or at least a baby cheeping. But nothing. She just saw some other pack members feasting on some of the last birds and other small creatures she had decided not to chase, for his 'brothers' sake. Sampson finally gave up and realized eating snow was only going to make him shiver with the consequences. He needed his body temperature at a certain level to stand the cold conditions. As Sampson's stomach growled loudly and Eclipse attempted to settle into the snow, their alpha's call surround the area and both of the wolves instantly reacted by running forwards, toward the beautiful alpha and awaiting for her to lead the pack on-wards. Eclipse separated from Sampson as she started to sniff the ground in attempt to trace a scent of a larger creature, a rabbit at-least, but when she did find the scent, it most defiantly had something wrong with it.

After a few minuets, the pack had crowded and they started moving outwards, the alpha, as usual, trying her best to track down prey. Sampson was still thinking about a great hunk of fox meat in his belly and could not resist but dash forwards and sniff down one of their underground holes. Someone was home, but they was not likely to come out if Sampson was staring at them. Finally withdrawing his head, the gave his body a good shake from the muddy tunnel, Eclipse rolling her eyes with a certain look to say. "You will never catch one." After a few minuets of scanning, a fox was pouncing at a tiny hole in the ground, scratching to get to a mole that hid safely. Sampson gathered to a small canter as the fox withdrew with a successful catch. Eclipse was certain he was going to attempt to kill it, but she was mistaken as he had actually caught up with it, his jaws locking onto the mole dangling from its jaws. The fox seemed surprised but still hanged onto his catch Sampson was far more stronger than the orange tinted creature and it was easy enough to swing it around, but harder to grab the limp animal from it's jaws. But then, after a struggle with the sly fox, half of the mole broke in half and the fox made a hasty retreat down his nearby burrow. Sampson was succsefull with a small prize to show it with. It was not much, and the young wolf had not eaten in two days, so he decided to eat it awkwardly in-front of Eclipse who had came over to see what he had got. "That's it, pack it away little piggy." Eclipse smirked before turning around and walking back with her alpha. Sampson had swallowed the food without barely chewing it, a little guilty as to weather he should have offered it to someone else, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Apollo
The sound of paws made Apollo glance behind himself, having to blink a few times from the light. "Ah, Butch! Nice to see you," The male wolf grunted in appreciation as he saw the dead bird drop from the other young wolf's jaw. His heart did a little gymnastics routine as he scrambled upwards and took a step back, sniffing at the creature until he was sure it didn't have that terrible foaming mouth disease that so many of the smaller prey was beginning to fall to. "Mmm, this does look delicious, Butch," Apollo said, averting his gaze from the bird, a thought suddenly coming to his head. "But I'm currently not very hungry, though if you could do me a favor," His voice lowered so Arya wouldn't hear. "Could you please try and give this to Arya? She hasn't eaten in two days, and if I get near her with even the smallest piece of prey, she run away. Maybe you could try and coax her into eating a little? She's too arrogant to eat all of it, but I doubt she'd be stubborn enough to refuse from a higher rank." Apollo sat back again, sniffling as a snowflake landed directly on his nose. Glancing behind Butch he saw Inxis head out to hunt with most of the pack.

Mesmerized momentarily, Apollo gazed at them all until he realized one wolf was trotting away with them; one that he'd hoped was going to stay behind. "Arya!" He barked sharply, then more quietly back to Butch. "If you'd do it, you better leave now; seems as if Arya wants to head out for a walk with the rest of the pack." He pointed his snout toward her body stopping abruptly and glaring at him. Frost covered her face, and she looked like a white wolf. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Wait for a minute, Saffy." An angry snarl erupted from her throat at the nickname. "Don't call me that!" She snapped, though she stopped from hurrying after the leaving party. Her annoyed and impatient golden eyes locked with his and she obviously wanted to rip his tail off later.

Arya
The female was about to shift again to get blood pumping through her veins. Arya swiveled her ears back as she heard Inxis's familiar voice, calling for the pack if they wanted to head out for a little walk. Grateful for the reason to get up and move around, she moved to her paws and then stretched quickly, a deep rumble coming from her chest. The last wolf's trail was disappearing into the forest, and Arya spun around, preparing to bound after them. Just as she was in midstride, Apollo's bark made her stumble to the ground. She shot him a hard glare before he told her to wait for a moment, using the most annoying nickname he'd ever given her: Saffy. How embarrassing was that? Arya drew her lips back, baring her teeth and snarling. "This better be good." The realization that a council member was next to him shocked her and immediately she thought back to the day before, going over everything she did, thinking about anything that could've possibly gotten her into a mess of things. Although nothing seemed too bad and the other young male wolf, Butch, didn't look like he was going to yell at her, she kept her guard up.

Her ears swiveled again, listening to the fading paw steps of her pack-mates as they walked away from where she stood. Arya began in her mind everything she was going to yell at Apollo for. One: Keeping me here, two: calling me Saffy, three: making me stumble while I was midstride and making me look like an idiot... Arya lowered her head closer to the ground, closing her eyes at a sudden gush of wind pummeling her face and fur. Her tail curled inward toward the wind, wrapping part way around her left hind leg. Her two front paws edged forward, placing her in a more sturdy position. As every heartbeat went by, she began to want to bite Apollo more and more after she got back, but she waited impatiently. Her eyes obviously didn't catch sight of the dead bird at Apollo feet, as her stern gaze was fixed on both of the male wolves' faces.

(http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/wolves_can_smile_by_allerlei-d3396xp_zps2d1bbfcb.jpg) Faolan  (http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/behind_the_tree_by_allerlei-d3b1wwm_zpsd6760029.jpg)
While others got up around him in the very early morning, Faolan remained on the somewhat warm ground. Gold eyes watched like a hawk while the others wandered outside and interacted. As one of the largest members of the pack, Faolan also contained the most body heat. The male was not accustomed to social interaction, but he allowed others to use him for warmth through the night since he only found it logical. Logic was the rhyme and reason behind every action this wolf made. Even as a pup, when the situation around him was going downhill, Faolan refused to interact with his fellow pups. He would stare at them in curiosity and often study his elders in their actions as compared to his peers. Nonsense such as rough playing and romping in the snow was not for Faolan, the giant taking comfort in observation and analysis. This wasn't to say that Faolan didn't play fight. With time, he realized the necessity for building muscle through the sport and found himself participating when he was turning one year old.

His eyes fixed onto his young alpha. While Inxis was young and, at times, naive, she was not the worst leader. That was the biggest compliment Faolan could probably ever offer her until she aged a bit and became more mature. He expected nothing less from the small, energetic leader, but he had hoped she would mature faster with the pack's eyes constantly on her. He noticed recently the stress in her body. It was somewhat hard to miss, but the majority of the pack was too focused on their hunger to focus on the stress levels of their alpha. Faolan noticed everything, though. It was considered an annoying quirk about the wolf when it came to his subordinates. He found his hyper-awareness to be a helpful skill to have. Thinking of moving to get his joints functioning, the main council member thought against it as a skinny frame snuggled closer to him. Tensing due to the contact, Faolan watched the young male beside him for a minute before relaxing only slightly. Deciding against moving, he waited in the den for more wolves to wake up.

Faolan's ever watchful eyes focused on the continuing events with his alpha, the subordinates, and his fellow council members until Inxis called for a morning walk to look for food. He moved immediately, not feeling any pity for those who were so roughly woken up by his sudden movement to get up. Walking quickly into the cold air, Faolan passed by Butch, Arya, and Apollo. Glancing down at the prey, Faolan passed it by as he had already witnessed Apollo inspecting the kill and finding it clean. Faolan held little respect for Butch. Perhaps it was the wolf's young age or it was the naivety of him, but Faolan just didn't find himself appreciating the young wolf. The fresh kill had gotten his attention when he was in the den still and he was wary of the new meat. If Apollo didn't back up from it originally, he would have leaped out of the den to snarl at Apollo to back off until it was clear to eat. Thankful for Apollo's own mindfulness, Faolan passed the three without more than a second's glance at each of them. Catching up to the alpha, Faolan remained only a few steps behind her as he kept note of her while sniffing out his own prey. While Inxis ran after some bird, Faolan hung back, his eyes on some commotion coming from behind him. He backtracked to find Sampson and Eclipse lagging behind. he noticed Sampson swallow something. Hoping the wolf had judged the meal safe to eat before he ate it, Faolan approached the pair. "You may want to be careful when eating something without one of the higher ups noticing. If a hungry subordinate had caught you, a fight could have erupted, thinking we were picking favorites."

Despite who made the catch, Faolan wanted to ensure everyone was fed based on need. He had not eaten for about a week, but wasn't too bothered by it. He blamed this on his ability to go awhile without eating, which he thanked his ancestors every day for. The smaller wolves had a greater risk of starving so he often offered his meal to someone smaller. Faolan turned from the two since his only purpose was to offer a warning, and made off towards where Inxis had disappeared to. Hearing her bark, Faolan hurried his pace and approached the distressed alpha, looking to where the birds were disappearing as Inxis seemed to be distressed about them. "They are only birds, Inxis," he stated, a hint of confusion in his voice as he regarded his alpha with caution, unsure of the reason behind her stress.

[Working on making this prettier X3 Sorry for the delay in post, everyone! I was really sick last night and I had school all day today + homework. =P

Katalia
Katalia snapped back to reality when she heard their alpha's familiar voice, Katalia yawned before standing up. The slowly falling snow covered her in the white flakes, she shook the snow from her fur before making her way towards Inxis. It was time to find food for the pack, if they were lucky they might be able to find a small squirrel or bird, but any big prey had left. Soon they entered the forest, Katalia took a place right behind Inxis. The chirping of birds rang overhead, alerting most of the prey of their presence. Katalia growled with irritation, they needed to find food for the pack. Katalia could hear the sounds of claws scratching against the bark of the trees as small creatures ran to their homes to prevent becoming a possible meal for a pack of hungry wolves. Suddenly Inxis ran forward, Katalia didn't know what she was after but she followed her. Katalia almost slammed into her when she froze "What's wrong Inxis?" she asked quietly, maybe she was chasing something for the pack to eat.
Katalia watched in confusion as Inxis darted her head left and right, had she gone mad? As Kat scanned the area her gaze stopped at a blackbird. She was prepared to pounce on it, but what happened next surprised her. Inxis walked right up to the bird as if she were having a silent conversation. Kat tilted her head as the bird pecked her nose then squawked before flying into the sky to join it's comrades. Katalia watched the birds for a moment, Kat knew just where they were heading. She lowered her ears then looked at Inxis "Do they want us to follow them?" Katalia looked back at the pack, she knew some of them didn't believe in Elyaris but she did. She looked back up to where the birds had flown, she wondered if they were meant to follow.

(sorry for the short post, I have to go to work T.T)

And in the darkness of this moment, you see the good and the bad.

But try not to judge me, 'cause we've walked down different paths,

But it brought us here together, so I won't take that back.

Inxis scanned the skies slightly as the birds started to disappear from her sight, and her copper-eyed gaze continued staring at the last of the black birds, before they disappeared totally, which made her tail swish lightly in response. Her thoughts were on that dream- however she didn't know whether to follow or not, mostly due to the fact her dreams would always get her in trouble- and most of the ones in her pack wouldn't like the idea. Many obviously didn't like her due to the fact most didn't enjoy her new leadership. Her tail was slightly high- mostly to show her rank in the pack, but she wanted to droop it so low due to how high her stress level was. The female's eyes closed as she sat in the snow, only turning her head to glance at Katalia, who had seemed to follow her. Inxis hoped she didn't think she was crazy for chasing after a bird- then staring at it- that might be a chance for food! But Inxis felt as if she had tried to kill that bird- something could have happened- possibly something bad?  The wolf began to think about the pack- what would they think of her strange sort of vision? They'd probably attempt to over-throw her, or something such as that, but the more she continued to stare off into the distance, the more she felt compelled to go off in the direction. Her thoughts were quickly interrupted however, as the white wolf in front of her spoke.

"I don't know, I guess." She answered to her question, ears lowering a bit as she continued to eye the skies, only glancing back to Katalie when she was about to give her another answer. "I had this vision, or dream I guess, it was about these ravens." She started to explain, and was about to speak once more when she felt something small crash right into the side of her head. The female alpha gave a loud snap at the air, her teeth grasping something as she looked to the sky, just missing whatever had decided to crash into her as it quickly darted right out of her sight. In her mouth, she felt something, and quickly spit it out, realizing it was a black feather, of a raven. The female alpha turned around as she eyed Faolan come into view, her tail swished in greeting, as he began to question her about what she was doing. The female alpha gave a sigh, explaining what she had saw in her so-called 'vision', before her head swiveled to stare off into the direction. "I think we should follow them." She spoke, watching as a few other ravens seemed to be flying off in that direction, however, she couldn't help but think, was she going crazy? Inxis gave a low sigh, her usual happy-mood not showing as a more cold aura danced around the female.

Deciding to however- ask the main council, she decided they'd go after she got a few answers from the other higher ranks in the pack- possibly ask some others but she was straight on the fact that they were going. Inxis wasn't that much of a young pup was she? She could make good decisions when needed! The female shook her head, realizing she got caught up in her thoughts far too often as she looked over towards the snow, the alpha decided, might as well find some food for the others. She eyed the two others that followed her during her little run, before taking off in the direction she saw the tiniest bit of movement, her paws quiet as she eyed the land. Maybe a rabbit would be their lucky snack today? They were usually skinny due to the lack of vegetation, but food was food. The alpha didn't go off far however, only going a small distance before managing to grab a rabbit, it was slightly bigger than the ones she was used to eating, however she decided to give it to a member of the pack before she ate. She wasn't starving, she knew that, but she was hungry, but others could be starving, which is why she quickly began to trot back to where most of the others where, however her ears continued to lay down atop her head, giving her a more sad-look about her, however didn't really mind as her thoughts were jumbled at the moment. She walked to where most of her pack was, and sat down, eyeing the others to see who'd get te rabbit.

Sampson

As the alpha paused for a few moment as her eyes located and fixed onto a some movement among the snow piles, the tender-eyed wolf slumped himself on the ground, a itch growing on his shoulder. He twitched his fur and rose one of his hind legs, giving the spot a long itch with his large paws and nails. The day was becoming boring, for there was nothing to do. When he was back with his mother, he was able to do anything he pleased. Birds where able to be chased without being scolded, the weather was so warm he was able to sunbathe on his back, and the trees where so beautiful, yet the only thing to do was to weave around them. But when the wolf left for the wild, the birds where sacred  and had to be rationed, the weather was freezing and he was unable to do fun activity's, for his energy had to be saved and the tree's had lost their kindness, but showed the hardship of living in the wild. Sampson though would have never made it another winter, if it wasn't for Eclipse who found him sleeping with his head rammed in a fox hole, fox kits licking constantly at his nose and muzzle. After he had ran away from a angry father of a daughter, the young wolf was desperate for a pack. He did not care if he was the lowest rank, the scruffy one, the looser, he just needed to be around his own kind. He needed a friend. Eclipse was the one who helped Sampson out of the fox hole and they stayed the night together, helping each other to keep warm by curling into a tight ball in the shade of the forest. Sampson was so thankful for this, and he looked at Eclipse as a very close sister, rather than a potential mate.  After the weeks rolled by of looking out for each other, they finally found a willing pack to accept them as their own. Their lives was saved and the two acquaintances  lived in harmony, for a while that is. They started to row like brother and sisters and they grew apart, although deep down, they still both cared for each other. Sampson paused in his thoughts and realized the alpha had caught that rabbit, Eclipse talking to her. Sampson's ears flattened. He was worried because of her low rank that she was unable to speak. He snorted, trying to distract Eclipse, but she was taking none of it. She was determined to speak.

Eclipse
As she watched her alpha dash after a rabbit and catch it with success, Eclipse realized how easy it was to get lost in concentration. Her dark hazel eyes cast a glance at the pure white landscape, the snow settling on her snout for the first time without her head shaking it off. The icy air whistled around her ears, causing her skin to tingle and sting. Paw pads started to numb as she sat, her gaze glassy as she forgot to blink. She stayed quite Snug inside her many layers of thick fur. The she-wolf raised to her paws and took a step forwards as a Robin averted her view. She continued to walk in enchantment of his red breast, it's feathers soft and fluffy, it's body as warm as a oven on a low heat. Every step she took left a fresh, crisp paw print in the snow, as if she was the only creature to have ever been here. Snowflakes fall gently from the sky, tickling the end of her moist nose.

The branches of the trees bow with the heavy load they are carrying, bending towards the floor. It made her think, that if only they could shake themselves like she would covered in water; they would be free. Everything glistens, as if a fairy has sprinkled her dust over the entire world. Colors are brighter against the pure white blanket that spreads as far as the eye can see. The Robin tweeted as it ruffled its feathers. It had no problem with surviving. Such beauty made her love the harsh land. It was the only thing she wanted to thrive for.

The air smelt pure and fresh. Everything seemed quiet accept for the huff of the wolves and the cheeping of the Robin. This muffled as she continued to day dream. She was about to bark to see it's beauty in full action, it's fragile wings flapping frantically as it held up it's fat belly, but the rush and hush of one of her pack mates ripping apart the left carcas of a vole interrupted her. She turned and stared, inhaling the clear, fresh oxygen. Her body shook, walking with pride to her alpha. "I hope you do not mind me saying, and please do not think of me as a pest my Alpha, but  then i was a pup my mother always told me to follow your heart. I have done so for so long and if it was not for that, i would not end up where i am today. I think you should consider your hearts feeling, for i am sure it rest's with your pack, and its well-fair." She spoke, inhaling quickly. She was never sure if she was able to talk to her alpha, for she was not one of the main council, but she had to do something. Her and Sampson where turning savage out of hunger. She even found herself chewing his tail whilst he slept. Her eyes diverted to the rabbit but decided not to take it. She felt quite embarrassed if she wanted it to go to one of her higher ranked wolves.

...Butch...

The brute's green eyes focused on the other Brute, nodding slowly while listening to the words. "I will try, but I doubt she will take it from me, if she doesn't take it from yo-" Butch instantly shut up, as he saw Ayra near where the two male wolves were standing. He quickly watched her stumble, and tried not to smile, he didn't want Ayra to not respect him... Who would respect a Council who laughed at you? He then pushed the squirrel closer to him, and grabbed its furry belly with his mouth. He walked closer towards the fae... "Uh.." He began awkwardly, "do you want to share this?" He beckoned to his catch with his eyes, then looked back at Ayra. "I caught it, and I don't mind sharing  it." He barked, remembered Appolo's advise about her not eating it all. So maybe sharing was the key. He hoped he didn't get a mouth in the face, even though he was a Main Council.

-Sorry that its so short, come on brain! WORK!-

.:Juliet:.

The female slowly fluttered open her eyes. She saw not the morning light, but a rather evening one. "Oh no.." Juliet growled to herself, knowing she was bound to be late for something. Her bones crackled, as she forcefully pushed herself to her tired paws. Her heart raced as she leaped out of the den, seeming very fickle at the moment. Her head turned, and she saw 3 other wolves staying behind. Butch, Apollo, and Ayra, she shrugged, and ran past them. Her paws thumped in the snow, making small prints behind her.

Soon, she reached where the other wolves were hunting. She breathed in a deep sigh, and walked up to a random wolf. Suddenly, she saw black birds racing in the distance... She gave a short playful bark, and attempted to chase after them, her tail wagging. She was probably one of the most healthiest in the pack, as she was quite furry, and didn't mind the blizzarding snow. She stopped, when she couldn't see them, and the other wolves were out of sight.

Soon, she rejoined the pack, feeling quite silly chasing after a bunch of impossible to catch Black Birds. She shied away then, to the back of the pack..

While everyone was awakening and beginning the morning, a particular form decided to rouse late as usual. She was an odd wolf anyway, She was a hermaphrodite, anorexic, and mute. Heck, it was probably a wonder why the alpha had kept her around, let alone why she invited her to the pack. Was it sympathy? Most likely that would be a peculiar reason when it comes to keeping her around. Eventually enough though, the thin wolf began to rise from laying on its flank and stood tall. Her size and speed could of been another reason Inxis decided to keep her around, though she isn't strong she does have a good running stamina once she has the room to run. Parting her silent jaws to yawn, she only made a noise when she ended the yawn by snapping them together with a quick click. And with that, she began a slow trot out of the den, stopping at the entrance to shake off her pelt from the debris that stuck to her from when she was asleep, such as dirt and other foliage. Once she was outside, she made her way to the campsite center, standing there a bit baffled and looking around.

Katalia
Kat looked back up to where the birds had disappeared to "What now?" she asked herself. She sighed then turned around to head back to the den site "I'll meet you back home." She said to no one in particular. She walked with her eyes looking down at the snow below her, her mind was thinking about those birds. What were they trying to tell us? She pushed all the thoughts out of her head, this was no time for worrying about a bunch birds. "Maybe I should find something to bring back to the pack first." she would feel bad for not returning with at least a small bird. She yawned then made her way towards the lake where larger birds could be found that were trying to scoop up some fish. Luckily she caught the scent of rabbit nearby, she followed the scent until she came to a small hole in the ground. She sniffed it once more before sticking her head into it. She found a litter of rabbit kits huddled together, they must have smelled Katalia. She decided she would leave them for now, maybe it would be better to leave them so they could grow a little more, she would have to ask Inxis. She pulled her head out of the hole and continued to make her way towards the lake. Suddenly a howl rung through the air, startling the few birds that were in the area, making the take to the sky. Kat perked her ears "Who was that?" she asked herself before running forward. Thoughts and scenarios were running through her head, What if someone is being attacked? What if someone found something? Kat didn't know what she was going to find.
Her paws sunk into the powdery snow as she ran "Hello!" she called, trying to find the wolf. Finally, she arrived at the lake "It's.. Frozen.." She said in almost disbelief, just a few days ago they were catching whatever they could from it, but not it was frozen solid. After staring at it for a moment she saw a gray lump rolling in it's back, she soon recognized it as Omashu. "Hey! Are you alright?" she barked as she trotted towards him, "What's wrong?" she asked as she sniffed him, he didn't smell like something had attacked him. "Let's get back to the dens." she turned around and made her way back towards the den site.

Name: Breeze.

Nicknames/Alias: She has none.

Gender: Female.

Age: 2 Years.

Rank: Subordinate

Mate?: None.

Pups?: None

Infatuation?: None.

Description of your character:
Breeze is a creamy white wolf, with some blonde on her back, tail and head. She has a black tipped tail, that sometimes brushes on the ground when she's depressed. She has chocolate brown eyes, with white surrounding her innocent eyes. She has some black flecks, or patches there and there. She has a black nose, which is leathery and wet like it should be. Recently, her fur has been looking more matted, and dirtier. She has been getting a lot skinnier, and she is rather sick, but she isn't that sick.

Breeze is a rather relaxed girl, who would rather lie down than run or jog around. She is very ambitious, and will do anything to reach her dreams. Even when she is not bothered, she works hard to get up.

Sample post:
Chocolate eyes fluttered open, Breeze sighed. "Another Winter day..." The She Wolf snarled to herself. She then quickly pushed herself to her paws, and stumbled out of the den. She watched wolves race around the clearing, or disappear into the woods to find food. "I better go hunt," she mumbled to herself, and strolled forwards. The trees towered over her, and it blocked the cloudy sky from her. Breeze looked from side to side, the trunks surrounding her.

Arya
Arya was about to stomp away from waiting. The party had already come back, and she wanted to take a walk by herself for a while. But before she could start to move again, Butch started to pad over, forcing the female to keep a steady gaze on him. She only then realized that in his jaws was a dead bird. A few steps before the council member reached her, she shot an angry glare that obviously stated I'll kill you later. His only reply was a large toothy grin. It seemed like a dead stare-off between the two wolves for a moment and then Arya turned back to Butch, waiting for the question he was going to ask. After a moment of thinking, she replied trying to keep the annoyed tone out of her voice, "Why not? Sure, Butch." The higher-ranked member was younger than her but he was still higher-ranked. She could have refused, but then she would've probably been approached by Inxis later, which probably wouldn't have a good outcome. She also just wanted to see if she could irk Apollo, agreeing to take food from someone else but not him, though she doubted her act would make him annoyed; more likely relieved.

Arya sat back onto her hind legs, dropping her head down to the prey Butch had set down at her paws. She knew Apollo would've been smart enough to sniff out whether or not it had that foaming mouth disease, but just to be sure she gave a quick sniff check. Then nibbled at it cautiously, tasting it carefully. She knew what one of the infected rodents tasted like because of when she had tore into a rabbit and ordered to spit it out by Apollo. It was part of the beginning of the realization of the disease infecting the only prey left in the forest. It had tasted strange, but Apollo the Annoying had noticed that its smell had a fragrance unknown to either of them at the time, but one they came to know very well and learned to be weary of. After coming to the conclusion that it was indeed free of sickness, she tore a small piece of meat from the bird and munched on it self-consciously. "Thanks." She said between chewing, spitting out feathers after that.

Apollo
Watching as Butch approached Arya cautiously, he silently prayed that she wouldn't snap. Usually she held her temper to the higher ranks besides Inxis at times, but the female was obviously in a bad mood already. Her biting his ear wasn't so far-fetched. Apollo was actually a bit surprised when all she did was shoot Apollo a glare of pure hatred and then hesitantly accept some of the offering. Happy that no fighting took place, he turned to walk away when the familiar angry howl split the air. The male turned to look at Arya, a questioning look on his face. The only response from Arya was a roll of her eyes. He was about to follow the sound to the source, but he glimpsed through the trees Katalia's white fur, signaling that she beat him to it. Instead, he pushed into a trot and went in the opposite direction, trusting that since Arya didn't already maul Butch, she wouldn't any time soon.

Bushes and thorns brushed tugged against his pelt as he passed by, pushing his way through toward nowhere specific. The air smelled dull, dreary. It seemed like a pretty boring place to be. The only highlight was when Apollo suddenly saw a rabbit scuffling among the roots of a tree. Keeping low and silent, he crept forward a few paces, scenting for the smell of the disease. Every second that passed was agonizing, because it was suddenly there, the smell, but it wasn't coming from the rabbit. Trying to keep quiet, the male crawled backwards, scrambling for a place he could look around clearly. A strange rock formation stuck out of the ground about twenty meters to his left, and he made a run for it. Everyone in the pack knew that the smell was dangerous, and the thick undergrowth that Apollo had trapped himself in was a death hole. After getting to the ledge with a bit of huffing and puffing, he scanned the ground, searching for what the source of the smell could be. Frighteningly, the scent was stronger and closer. And then suddenly he saw the scrawny figure of a gray fox, nosing around in the berry bushes to his left. The fox hadn't seemed to notice Apollo yet, but it was quite clearly infected. White foam stained the corners of his mouth and there was a mad glint in his eyes. Apollo had to be at least two times bigger than the other canine, but he knew his only good option was to get out of there. One bite and he'd become sick with the disease.

There was the clear path he'd taken that came straight from where the pack rested and would be waiting, but if the fox did see him and decided to follow, he'd be leading in a death sentence to his pack-mates. No, He decided firmly. I have to take a different route and hope to confuse the blundering skinny thing. Apollo hugged the ground and flattened his ears, only hoping nature's wind was on his side. With a last quiet breath, he tried to gracefully hop down from the boulder and run. But instead, one of his front paws, flew from underneath him and scraped against a sharp piece of rock. The male yelped, holding up his paw for a moment until a snarl went up behind him, causing him to bolt. The fox was too slow to be able to catch up with him if he ran long enough. Apollo barely noticed anything as he passed it, but he must've swerved back there sometime because the sudden scent of his pack-mates washed over his nose, shooting happiness through his veins, even though he was still a little ways away. After deciding that he wanted a break and picking another jutting rock formation where he could see the ground from above and would be safe, he huddled up on the top ledge, licking the tender pad of his paw. Sticky scarlet liquid dropped from a little scratch, but overall it barely looked like anything. It stung, that was for sure, but it definitely wasn't life threatening. Giving in to his tired soul, he settled down and closed his eyes, relaxing into a short nap.

The pelt on her wind felt freezing as the she wolf strolled behind the pack. She had found only a vole that ventured away from the den, and was nibbling on the strands of grass. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth, as she had already put the vole on the ground for some one else to take. She flicked the snow of her fur, and sat down in the clearing, watching the wolves go by.

Umms Hi there! If there is still an openning I'd like to join. it's been a while since I've been in a rp so I hope I have a descent Appie!

Name: Lorcan
Nicknames/Alias: N/A
Gender: Male
Age: 4 years old
Rank: Subordinate
Mate?: N/A
Pups?: N/A
Infatuation? aka 'crush' (Optional): N/A
Description of your character:  Even though his name means Fierce one in Irish Lorcan is the complete opposite. He sits back quietly watching others as they chit-chat, being the withdrawn wolf he is and doesn't say a word. He talks mostly when spoken too first, and even then he talks in a soft shy tone. Don't get Lorcan wrong, he prefers the presence of others to loneliness(sometimes he wanders off just to relax) and he is warm hearted and protective to friends. He just doesn't talk much. It's just hard to pull that out of him.
Sample post: A wolf with a pelt that looked as if soot has been sprinkled on his back trudged through the thick snow that lay even at the base of the trees. His paws burned from the cold and the white powder clumped to his fur. Lorcan huffed in frustration as he stumbled through the snow that was nearly to his chest. I shouldn't have come out here like an idiot. No matter how much I want silence. The freezing male made his way to the closest tree and scraped the snow from it's base. With a sigh Lorcan hunkered down and curled tightly into himself hoping to rest before making his way back to the pack.

(http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/wolves_can_smile_by_allerlei-d3396xp_zps2d1bbfcb.jpg) Faolan  (http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/behind_the_tree_by_allerlei-d3b1wwm_zpsd6760029.jpg)
With Inxis running after a rabbit nearby, Faolan cast glances to his packmates in her absence. If the previous alphas had not set Inxis as the alpha, he always remained curious as to who would have won that title. He was always satisfied with being an adviser, never seeing himself as anything more than that. Most would see this as giving up on being an alpha, but he saw it as being the mind of the alpha, or at least a helper in his or her mind. His current alpha's comment about following the birds, though based off a dream, was still somewhat logical. Not to the point of unquestionable doubt, but he did consider this option. From what Faolan could gather, the weather was only getting colder which would lead to more animals disappearing and their water sources just becoming frozen solid. Despite his ancestors' wants, Faolan knew they had to leave their territory eventually. Moving an entire pack in such a way would be severely dangerous, perhaps the reason the pack had never moved from this area. Not only was the outside area rarely ventured into and those that inhabited the outside regions unknown, but moving a group in such a setting was an ambush waiting to happen. However, separating the pack could also have its downfalls. Fighting for leadership couldn't be tolerated while moving and he knew that the main council may be the only wolves creating a barrier around the title of alpha. After all, if the council didn't agree with him or her, the alpha would have to either get new council members (of which the expertise of the wolves present were slim to none), or step down.

Inxis, while she did try to be a good leader, could easily struggle should she be separated with a group on her own. Of course, Faolan was loyal to her and would never overthrow her, but he would likely be a leader of another group should they ever split off. He had never been a loner and always a pack member. While his social skills weren't the best, he knew how to get jobs done and to get everything organized. Any other leaders of small groups would be questionable. Many of the pack were too young for such positions and others didn't have the personality types that could benefit a small group. Not to mention Faolan's trust issues when it came to the pack. Every time a fight broke out, his trust of those involved decreased every time. At this point, he could trust nearly no one in this pack either because of fights or not knowing them long enough. When Inxis tossing the rabbit into the center, Faolan tensed immediately, his golden eyes flashing to individual members to see who would claim it. He relaxed as someone lunged at it and no one minded. Faolan, ever the tense wolf, still stared at the surrounding members as Eclipse approached the alpha.  "I hope you do not mind me saying, and please do not think of me as a pest, my Alpha, but when I was a pup my mother always told me to follow your heart. I have done so for so long and if it was not for that, I would not end up where I am today. I think you should consider your heart's feeling, for I am sure it rests with your pack, and it's well-fair." Faolan, though his eyes were adverted from Eclipse, resisted the urge to snort at the 'follow your heart' comment. /Follow your heart? Those who follow their heart are lucky to be alive at this point. You think those who kill humans to get ahead in life were following their heart? No. They followed logic. They followed what they could to keep alive,/ Faolan thought bitterly. His eyes flashed briefly over to Eclipse and then to her friend Sampson. The two looked nearly in pain with their stomachs so thin and he hadn't missed the look Eclipse gave to that rabbit. The two were starving. /No doubt the reason is them 'following their heart'./ While Faolan wasn't cruel enough to speak these words, he knew the price of 'following your heart', and he always advised against it. Luckily, he did agree that they should 'follow Inxis's heart', but for his own logical reasoning, not some jumble of words a mother gives her pup to reassure her everything will be all right.

Faolan moved back, away from the rabbit so as to not be lured into taking a piece. Some commotion was heard from the lake and Katalia soon disappeared to investigate. Faolan's ear flicked and he returned his attention to the pack, some just picking off pieces while others were greedier than that. "Inxis, might I suggest a meeting of the main council upon our return to discuss this predicament? I'm sure Butch and Katalia would like to contribute, as the phrase is, their 'two bones' on the matter of the birds and our current location," he explained, his eyes focused on those picking at the rabbit as he spoke. It was rare for Faolan to make direct eye contact. This action would typically describe a coward, but his eyes were always locked on something else, making whomever he was speaking to feel inferior since it seemed as if they weren't worthy of holding his complete and undivided attention. However, as the alpha and many members knew, the gaze of Faolan wasn't the best thing to be boring into your eyes. His golden eyes were often intimidating and it was rare to see them not completely fixed on something. There were some in the pack that had been born and died in the pack without seeing Faolan even blink. Playfulness seemed to be a foreign language for the wolf that always walked proudly, a benefit for living in the times they currently lived in.

['two bones'='two cents', meaning giving their opinion =) ]

The young female wolf turned her small head to gaze warily at the now approaching female, her ears that normally lay flat on her head, twitched a bit- and her whole body tensed only slightly as she eyed the female with her copper-eyed gaze, and when Eclipse got in front of her, the female ended up tilting her head a bit at the other, silently asking why the other female decided to come up to the alpha when she began to make a few predictions in her mind on why the other came up to her. She did have a rabbit in her mouth after all- and the pack basically starving was going to make some want to ask for food- which Inxis was far too much of a good soul then to deny anyone's wants to get some food- even though typically it was the alpha who ate first, and had the most food, at least that's what her parents had always said, Inxis however rebelliously vowed never to follow that rule. The only thing that made the female tense was her walk- full of pride- she wasn't one to judge quickly- however due to recent things- most things made the female immediately feel defensive. A slight growl starting in her throat- not to be mean however still incredibly wary, she eyed the female with warm eyes as she started to speak, and her tension slowly decreased as the female explained, and Inxis dropped the rabbit to reply. "I see, Eclipse." She said, giving a friendly smile as the normally stressed alpha wagged her tail a bit- thoughts of that seemed to always encourage hope in the young one, however her head lowered a bit at the fact the other looked a bit wary herself. Attempting once more to lighten the bonds between her subordinates, she slightly chew the rabbit near the side, cutting off two parts and dropping one at Eclipse's paws, tail wagging a bit. "Here, have some food, you do look hungry, friend." She said, turning her head as another voice was heard.

"Ill start one now." She spoke to Faolan, eyeing his turned head with a bit of a frown- however didn't bother with it and instead nudged the other piece of food towards Faolan, tail swishing slightly in friendliness. "You eat as well." Inxis said, not bothering with her own hunger as she turned her head to Eclipse. "You have some pretty valid points, Eclipse." Another comment, before she walked off towards the lake- were earlier she had heard some commotion; that is where she chose to held the meeting for today. "All council, please report to the lake." She called- her voice taking over a more serious and more louder tone, mostly for Butch to hear as she normally would not speak like this at all. The female's head turned to Katalie, who seemed to be walking off, and quickly called out to her, before turning to one of the wolves on the lake- who seemed to be- wiggling about. The female wolf walked forward, eyeing the wiggling wolf- trying not to laugh as she shook her head, tail curling around her paws as a small snicker escaped her voice. "Excuse me, Omashu, but could you please.." Another snicker. "Stop wiggling and go to the rest of the pack?" She asked politely, tail wagging. "I'm holding a meeting for the main council here."

[@Okami: Just a suggestion- maybe have Yeva approach someone instead of the other way around? Personally, my character wouldn't approach her because she's minding her own and not bothering anyone. Of course, more wolves will be back at the main site soon with there being a meeting for the council and alpha and everything, but waiting for an approach might not be the quickest way to get character interaction =) ]

Butch almost jumped up in joy when Ayra said, "Why Not? Sure Butch!" He completed his mission! He wagged his tail softly, and it brushed against the soft snow. He fell back, so he was in a sitting position. Butch watched as the female ate the bird, but he didn't feel that hungry, even the smell didn't tempt him! He then suddenly heard a familiar voice.. Inxis. He was quite relived, maybe Ayra could have all of the bird. "Sorry guys, I got to go!" He barked, and scurried off.

When he reached Inxis, he dipped his head in respect. He sat down, making sure she had her space, and so did he. He didn't like it when people came to close to him, he has a large bubble of personal space, that you can't enter! His paws melted into the snow, so he jumped to one side, but his paws kept on sinking into the snow. Darn snow.. He growled in his mind, and looked back up at Inxis. He fell back again, in his sitting position. He waited for the Alpha to speak, but felt impatient... He was always like that... Impatient, active, and spacious! His tail brushed side to side, making a snow-tail in the snow. His tongue wanted to loll out of his mouth, but he didn't... He sat up tall, and done a doggy smile.

Eclipse&Sampson
Eclipse licked her maw as her alpha chewed off some of the flank from the rabbit she had recently caught. Her viewing orbs softened as she thought the alpha was going eat this in front of her. If that was the case, Eclipse would burst apart as she strained from keeping herself in control. But this was not the case, for her alpha had offered her the small chunk of meat. Eclipse's eyes glanced up at Faolan and saw him with a cold look in his eyes. The subordinate wolf was not one to get into scraps, but she could throw a filthy look when she needed to. Clenching her jaws and glaring down the eyes of the main council, she barley noticed Sampson pushing her away from the higher ranked wolf. The silence was broken by the loud growl of her brothers stomach. Eclipse snatched her head away as Sampson bit her cheek, giving her some rather harsh but true facts. She grunted in a response, snatching the piece of meat Sampson had picked up from his jaws. Eclipse was never one to make things seem less obvious. The tension between Sampson and Eclipse seemed at breaking point now and Eclipse turned on her brother figure. She snapped at the place where his scapula is located and pierced his skin with her sharp, savage canines. Sampson's reaction seemed quite slow, for he was unsure if  she was in rough play or an actual fight. He soon figured it out when she shoved him to the floor. Eclipse clenched his under jaw and tossed her head two and fro, her anger burning up inside her like a ball of flaming magma. Sampson was a much more powerful wolf than her and could take her out with a few stabs of his large teeth, but Sampson had been weary lately due to the lack of food. He was becoming skinny and they where now equally matched. Sampson seized his sisters fore face as he reached up his upper jaw. He managed to bite down, his sisters grip releasing with the males advantage at his grasp. The male reached up to her upper arm and pulled it down with great force, causing her to stumble with the excruciating pain. Sampson Pushed her off with his hind legs and rolled off his back to his large paws which forced themselves on Eclipse's shoulder. He breathed in, as did Eclipse. They felt emotions of pity and sorrow, aswell as anger and frustration. "You are not right in the head. This is not-" Sampson began, growling as he emphasized the word 'not'. "This is not you. I never known you to be as savage as this. You turn on someone who you have known half your life for what? Out of anger? I have never known you to be angry ever since i met you. I thought you could control yourself, for that is the wolf that helped me live through out these endless winters. You are like a sister to me, and brother and sisters do not do this to each other. You just need to calm down." He exhaled, removing the weight from his paws from Eclipse's shoulder. The female shakily stood up, half of her face covered in a thick coat of cold snow. Eclipse stared at Sampson and then to the rest of the pack back at the camp. "Save your breath and think about your actions before you start to attack, like you have told me." Sampson ended, his tail erect to show that he has not put himself off-guard. Eclipse swallowed, tasting blood among her saliva. "Did you know, even though you have grown up to be a puppy in a adult's body, you still know where to place your personality in different situations. I should have never turned on you for two reasons, which i think you can name." The defeated wolf whined gingerly as her hazel orbs faced the piled snow covering her elbow deep. Sampson refused to hear anymore at this point and exhaled as his victory turned to pity.

A few minuets passed as the pair stayed silent for a moment, the only noise being made was the growling of the two's stomach. Sampson decided to comfort the grieving wolf by sitting next to her, his tongue gently licking at the woulds he had made. Eclipse winced a few times but allowed him to clean them, for she would hate a infection to start. After he stopped the bleeding, Eclipse stroked her tongue over the wound on his upper jaw. This continued for a few moments until the pair gingerly layed themselves in the snow, both of their gazes directed at the main council who was talking to the Alpha female.

(Not as much as previous posts. =x And no offence to Kasai, it is my character giving the dirty look.)

Kasai, for the record Yeva is a mute! She can't talk, how would she approach anyway? But I got a bit of an idea, time for dilly dally.))
What was going on? A meeting? Yeva stood there and stare at the direction of the supposed alpha, Inxis. It was council only, she wasn't invited, or..... he... Yeva's gender was actually quite a mystery. Enough of this dilly dally, it's time for some more dilly dally. Perking her attention towards the woodlands, she'd figure she would wander around the woods a bit, maybe get lost, maybe even eavesdrop on the meeting if she was able, what threat was a mute to anyone anyway? But before any of that, she shook off the idea and was intent not to enrage Inxis, after all, Yeva was only a paper weight in this pack, if something happened to the wolf who couldn't speak it wouldn't matter much.
Without making any noise of course, she lowered her head and parted her jaws to act out what seemed to be an exasperated sigh. Nothing to do now, so she just laid down in the camp center clearing and intended to entertain herself in some form, one that got her frustrations off her mind anywho. She began chewing at her paws, a habit she had for awhile since she was a pup, in fact she was even beginning to get scars from the excessive chewing. Yeva was always quite unnerved and paranoid even if she was unable to say it.

Finally getting a chance to post something!)

Lorcan lay in the den as all the others roused from their slumber. He watched with warm honey-brown eyes as his pack mates moved out of the den and into the chill of the never ending winter, the white of the snow was blinding and the beauty of it had been taken away over the passed time. The days drag by in the forever white deathtrap. It's surprising that anybody that wasn't stricken with the illness was still sane. "It's never going to end... is it?" Lorcan whined softly. " The starvation, fights, or the illness?" The male drew his paws over his muzzle then to his eyes.

Some commotion brought the attention of the Lorcan's warm honey eyes from behind his paws and to the middle of the camp. Another fight. How surprising.. Lorcan pushed up to a sitting position and tracked them closely as the  tensions began bubble over, the sight saddened the wolf. This pack used to be great and now look at what they have become, a pack of starving savages. We used to be a feared pack; strong and might... but now look at us. Starved and weak. Lorcan's ear fell back with a sigh and his warm eyes fell to the ground with a sigh. The male's eyes scanned over the snow covered ground and fell upon the rabbit that had been halved and ran his pink tongue over his lips. Like a lot of the pack Lorcan was starved but he wasn't the worst in the pack, other wolves who worked harder than him needed the food more than him.

The tension soon faded away and Lorcan took his mind off the food and over to Inxis as she padded off to hold the meeting of the council. He wondered what will be said. Are they risking there selves to trek through the snow to look for new grounds or do they stay?

Katalia
"So what were you doing anyway?" she asked, she kept trotting forward but she turned around when she didn't receive an answer. She was shocked that he was no longer there "Hello?" She called, she waited for a moment, hoping for a response. "Where did he go?" she asked herself as she walked back to try to follow his scent. With a sigh she turned around and made her way back to camp "Maybe he went ahead." she began to speed up, a missing member was a serious issue. The snow began to freeze to her fur, making it a little harder to run. The smell of the pack relaxed her nerves and calmed her mind "Inxis!" She saw the alpha conversing with some of the other pack members. Coming to a stop Katalia tried to catch her breath "Sorry for interrupting but it's Omashu. He's gone." she panted "I saw him over by the lake, he looked a little mad and hurt so I tried to help. We were on our way back but when I turned around he was gone." She became even more nervous and worried "I tried following his scent but I lost it." She dropped her ears "Sorry.." she felt the need to say sorry, like this was her fault.
"I'll go search for him again, once I get some of my energy back." she lifted her head "I'll make sure he comes back safe and sound." She looked over the pack, they couldn't risk losing any of their own. She looked back at Inxis "The lake, it's frozen solid." The lake had been a source of food but now it was useless until spring "I'll go try to find some food for the pack." she almost walked away until she remembered the litter of rabbit kits "By the way, I found a litter of rabbit kits, there was about seven of them. They are still very young, I wanted to ask you if we should leave them be for now, at least until they get some meat on em, or would you like me o go retrieve them now?"

(Sorry that it's short >.< I felt bad for not posting for a while and knew I had to post or I would feel guilty)

(http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/wolves_can_smile_by_allerlei-d3396xp_zps2d1bbfcb.jpg) Faolan  (http://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo150/Firewolf0120/behind_the_tree_by_allerlei-d3b1wwm_zpsd6760029.jpg)

Faolan disregarded the dirty look being sent to him courtesy of Eclipse. Salivating at the smell of the rabbit offered to him, Faolan remained stoic, his eyes watching the alpha as she wandered out of sight. Once he was out of her sight, his eyes returned to the rabbit and then to Eclipse as Sampson began to tug her away. Faolan, now on his paws, watched the two cautiously. This was how a fight typically started. One wolf made the mistake of interacting with a wolf far too hungry to be messed with. Tail held high, the higher ranked individual watched as Eclipse slowly increased in agitation. Deciding to not interfere in the fight, Faolan walked around the two, ensuring that none of the surrounding wolves were encouraged to join this brawl. As words were exchanged, Faolan returned his attention to the two as they settled down a bit. Remaining silent, the large male returned to the food, the source of the issue, and split it in half. He threw a piece to each of them. Showing his teeth to those that surrounded him, he warned them, "Should I see anyone attacking anyone over here, don't be surprised if you find yourself out of the pack the next day." Calming down slightly, he scanned the two previously engaged in the fight. "Don't expect to get fed much more than this anytime soon. I'd advise eating this slowly as it will be your last meal for awhile." Hearing the voice of Inxis call over the rest of the pack, Faolan began to make his way over to her.

Keeping his usual uptight posture, the wolf watched as Butch bounded over rather disgracefully. Sighing a little, the older of the two had to remind himself that Butch was still young. Inxis was rather young as well and both had to still gain a bit more knowledge before either were set to lead this pack firmly. Faolan could see himself as a logical choice to be an alpha, but he never would overthrow Inxis unless she made a drastic change to the pack that he and the pack disagreed with. His head whipped over to Katalia who looked a bit panicked and began to inform them of a missing pack member. She quickly offered herself to go retrieve him and bring him back safely. "... If I may, I recollect that Omashu is not a pup and might be capable of finding his own way back. While I do realize that every member counts in our favor, if a wolf cannot find his way back on his own, is he truly essential to our cause: staying alive?" His eyes looked over at the lake and he soon took a seat beside the alpha, across from Butch. He knew sitting directly beside the male might lower his patience, of which he had an extraordinary amount. He supposed it was their opposite personalities that caused Butch to fall into disfavor with Faolan. The only thing the two seemed to agree on was personal space, but Butch's high energy and impatience was not amongst Faolan's favored traits. Looking over as Katalia continued about getting food and getting some rabbit kits, should it be all right with the alpha, Faolan glanced over to his alpha. "Surely we should have the meeting before obtaining more food? If we are changing location, we may need more or less food than what we need currently," he reasoned, mentally pushing Inxis to decide to have the meeting with himself, Butch, and Katalia before venturing out for food.

Name: Miraschek (Mir-a-sheck)
Nicknames/Alias: Mia or Mae
Gender: female
Age: 2
Rank: subordinate
Mate?: none yet
Pups?: none yet
Infatuation? aka 'crush' (Optional): still soul searching.
Description of your character: She has light red fur that looks like that seems to shine in the sunlight.  Her nose is a raspberry shade,  and rather soft then rough and smooth.  Her eyes are a light green that looks almost blue at angles.  Her fur is soft and silky.  She is missing a couple toes from her left front paw.  On her right front paw  the pawpad is pink, and the paw it's self is Snow White.  She has a scar below her eye from when she was brutally attacked by a wolf gone mad.  She is short, and to some has picked up the nickname shorty.
Sample post:

The air was laced with the intoxicating aroma of blood.  The idea of seeking out the source of the blood was tantalizing.  It was a hard decision, however her choice was eventually drawn to the side if walking away.  She was no scAvengar.  She was a wolf, a hunter.

Her pack mates were lounging in the sunlight, there bellies rather defined and their coats hanging off about and loose.  Everyone was hungry,  the conditions were a little tough to deal with.  However, she preferred to Stay optimistic...after all after every storm there's a rainbow.
