Ever heard of the Owls of Ga'Hoole book series? Well, unfortunately, I'm too lazy to make a bigfancy intro and information on it, so go to le Google if you haven't heard of it (Or Bing, or any other search engine ^^). Well, anywho, I just posted this here so that we could have conversations about the series. Who knows? We may start some massive argument about which book is better, or which owl acted the most stupid. Whatever. Here's some things that I believe:
My favorite book: The Hatchling (Or Hatching?)
My favorite characters: Soren--He is a leader and is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He has a strong gizzard, and he's quite intelligent. Otulissa--Yes, yes, she's somewhat irritating. But being obsessed with science and loving to learn myself, I respect her intelligence and desire to learn things--no matter what they are. (Besides wet poop jokes.)
My favorite scene: When Nyra murdered Philip and Nyroc (Also known as Coryn) finally fully understood the Pure Ones and Nyra, escaping. Of course, I don't like the part where Philip died...but...it's hard to explain.
You?
P.S. -You can also talk about Wolves of the Beyond.

I used to read wolves of the beyond but when I tried the guardians I got hooked. I am on the shattering so please but a spoiler warning on things. My favorite owl is Digger I honesty dont know why. Maybe because Borrowing Owls are so cute.

Oh yeah, The Shattering is a pretty intense one. Nothing compared to The Burning, though. >.<
What part of The Shattering are on?
-
I just finished it. I just got the next books today, sadly they didn't have the book I wanted so I will have to go a little out of order so I am on the hatchling, hopefully I can get the right book soon.

Ahhh.....you might want to know then:
SPOILER ALERT (Highlight below to see):
Kludd was almost killed by Soren in a massive invasion planned by the Guardians (mostly Otulissa) but then Twilight swooped in and broke Kludd's back. Before this, Nyra had laid another egg to be hatched on a lunar eclipse after her first one was broken by Eglantine. This hatchling's name is Nyroc.
-
Yes I have figured that out since Nyroc has figured it out now. I read books fast.
You know I never cry when a character dies in books, even when Rue died in Hunger Games. Lots of people cried about that but not me. Until Phillip died. No Nyra now I hate you even more than before! Luckily I didn't read your full forum because I realised it had spoilers so I had no idea it was coming!

Hopefully you can tell who these two are. If not I will have to remake it.

Soren and Eglantine?
Nice artwork, by the way. :)

Ugh no, maybe I should darken the scar...?
Thank you, it was the first time I drew owls on the computer.

lol yes.
Now I must wait for the next books to come in because my library doesn't have them. Now I have to read/listen to (Of topic) Eragon which isn't like Guardians of Ga'hoole at all but I really like it.

me too ^.^ when I first found out about the book series, I was addicted immediatly. I love how they show owls having sorta humanish intelligence, and how they interract with the tree, as in, using everything on it, but not too much, and carering for it. I really like this book series, and has actually inspered me to start my own wolf storie, based on the same kinda thing (startings of it should be somewhere in the storys forum) but Im not too far in it, I have thought out the wolf 'advanced civilisation' everything up to the name, which I just cant think of. but I am still think of whats gonna happen next.
so anyway, thanks Kathryn Lasky for a wonderfull book and great insperation!

Yus, let's all thanks Kathryn! :D
