Title: Terrain Mask Finally Works, But...
Post by: Kerriki on April 17, 2013, 01:15:35 am
So I can finally get the terrain mask in the map maker in the game without it crashing. But, when I try to change the textures, this happens...

The black/grey is supposed to be the snow texture, and the bright yellow is somehow a mix of the deep green grass and some sand (at the spot it's meant to be grass). So... any way to fix this?

Hmm, well, first things first-

You are using your terrain mask with only Red, Green, and Blue colors, yes?
The black and mixed terrains are caused by any colors other than the ones I specified. However, if your terrain mask uses a lot of fading or super intricate designs, FH might not render it straight away.

Maybe try making a very simple terrain mask first, and see if that works? Make sure the lines between the colors are distinct, and nothing too complex. If FH renders this, then try it with your terrain mask you have now (although it may need to be simplified a bit).
If it still malfunctions, I would suggest uninstalling/reinstalling FH.

I used only the pure red, green, and blue. But the terrain mask doesn't seem that complicated at all. If you want I can pm you it.

Sure, that's fine. I don't mind taking a look at it. ^^
