the lonely barren obea walked arond the territorie of the mcduncans. females turning their heads not wanting to be"cursed" as she walked past. she was heading for a cave by a ravine. she knew there was a malcahd there (sorry if i didnt spell that right :P) and she a tummfraw in mind. she started traveling at presspaw speed. she soon reached the cave where she found a mother and her pups. the three were perfect but the fourthwas deformed. its jaw twisted awkwardly and its mouth hanging open with the tongue lolling out. the mother looked shocked as she arrived "rene!" the mother shouted alarmed "please dont take him" she begged "please" rene ignored the mother and grabbed the pup carrying him out into the evening. again she started travelling at presspaw speed until she came to a mountain that avanlanches wrecked havoc upon every few days. she left the pup there to die and returned to the clan once again not feeling an ounce of guilt.

Faolan awoke from his sleep and walked over to the obea. "Aah Rene," he started. "how was the journey?" he asked as he trotted over to the obea. (That was my first RP in a forum...I hope its ok :P)

Faolan chuckled as the obea mimicked the mother. "Now Rene, you know how mothers are with their pups," he said softly. "they don't want to see them go...Rene, if you will please go get some rest...There is another by-lang mother somewhere and I'll need you to go find out what is going on." He said and then walked over back to his mate, Edme and sat on his pelt.

rene sighed as faolan told her about mothers she mimicked him inside her head "i dont need to rest i can go now do u have any idea of the whereabouts of this mother?" she asked faolan

"Well, if your ready she's close to (gotta find my book and get the map LOL) the MacDuff territory. Probably hiding somewhere along the borders," he stated. "good luck." He said as he turned and walked back to his mate.

the obea turned and started travelling at presspaw speed towards the mcduff territorie. she stopped as she picked up the mothers scent trail, it was definitly the right mother. she followed the trail to cliff and saw a trail that led to a ledge where the mother lay with her pups. she climbed down the path. she couldnt see what was wrong with the malcahd until he turned around so his back end was facing her. she saw that he had no tail and that his hind leg was completely limp. she padded silently over to the pup. the mother was sleeping so she figured this would be easy but as sooon as she touched the pup the mother awoke she attacked rene. pinning he rdown "you will never take my pup" the mother growled afterwards biting renes leg rene yelped in pain but she bit the mothers muzzled pushed her into the ground grabbed the pup and traveled back up the cliff she limped to a cave behind a waterfall where she dumped the pup. the cave was already flooding from the high river and she knew the pup would end up drowning. she then limped out of the cave and back to the mc duncan territorie she then slowd her pace and sat down llicking her blood stained hind leg "stupid wolf" she muttered

"Rene? What happened??!" Faolan asked as he saw the obea limping back home. "Did she put up a fight??" he continued to ask as he walked over to her.

"if you must know then then yes she did the stupid thing' the obea grumbled "and before you asked if i attacked her i did but it was in self defense"

"I understand," he started. "Did you kill all the pups?" he asked. "If you have forgotten, if the female fights, immediate death to all of the pups." He said. "Whenever you are ready, please get some rest. There is no news yet of another by-lang wolf...I'll let you know when."

As Diamond came back from hunting, she saw that everybody had went in their dens to sleep. She sighed, "Well, I guess i'll just eat by myself." She muttered under her breath. She layed down, bent her head, and began to rip apart the tough and stringy meat.

"I'm sorry..." She said to Rene. "How rude of me.. I didn't know i'd wake you up." She picked up a plump rabbit and set it down at Rene's feet.

she took the rabbit and padded off to her den grumbling and muttering

Diamond yowled as a sharp pain ran down her back. She crouched low to the ground, flattened her ears, and lowered her tail. "I was out hunting, Chieftain Faolan. I am sorry for how long I was out hunting." She mumbled. She looked up at Faolan, "I am sorry.." She said again, this time so he could hear her better. She walked over and picked a bear bone from the pile.

(he said this because he felt bad for the gnaw wolf, he went through the same thing)

"hmph" she grumbled as she stalked back to her cave

She bent down and started carving with her teeth. She paused for a moment. What would she carve? What HAD she carved, she realized, as she sat up and stared at the bone. She studied it hard, and realized she had carved two wolves fightning eachother. Suddenly, she yowled as the sharp pain in her back returned. She limped over to a shady tree, layed down, closed her eyes, and easily fell into a deep sleep.

"Well, better go back before Edme wonders where I am." he said and walked back to his pelt and nuzzled Edme. They both settled down on their pelts and fell asleep.
Faolan entered a strange dream, one of cold, ice, and starvation. "No! No! No!" he yipped. "Don't do it!" he kept on yowling and then it became darkness. He felt cold and started to shiver as a voice came in his head. "You can't escape the darkness." It seemed to say. He rolled over and twisted around, trying to get the dream away. (he looks rather funny right now all twisted and freaked out)

Diamond was woken up by a rustling of leaves. She looked up. "Just the tree." She muttered. She set her head back down, half closed her eyes, and saw her Chieftain, Faolan, moving around in his sleep.
Her eyes shot open as she thought he was having a horrible nightmare. She got up and started rushing to his den. Then she stopped. What if she got mad at her? She was willing to take the risk. She didn't want him to be afraid.
She started rushing silently over the dead leaves. When she entered his den, she gulped hard, then gently nuzzled his side. When she saw he wasn't waking up, she did it again, this time a little harder.

"What?!" he barked loudly and looked at Diamond. "Oh," he said. "It's only you." "Well, uh, thanks I guess...Just speak of this to nobody." he said and nipped her mildly on the scruff and went back to sleep, having peacful dreams.

As Faolan nipped her, her eyes widened with shock. After saying thank-you? She thought. As she turned to walk outside, she heard the rustling of leaves again, but this time, it wasn't from the trees.
Diamond crouched low, turning her head curiously. She silently crawled over the leave, and to the tree she slept under. Suddenly, a vole ran right past her nose. She sprang to her paws and ran, dead leaves flying behind her.
She jumped up, flying over to the vole, and landed on it, unsheathing her claws. She raked the vole's tiny sides with her claws, scooped it up with her paw, threw it, and finished it off with one bite on the neck.
She picked up the tiny vole as the sun started to stretch out into the sky. She walked over to Faolan And Edme's den, dropping the vole at the entrance. Then, she walked back to her tree, layed down, closed her eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

Faolan came over and picked up the vole. He and Edme ate it happily together and then they fell back asleep. Faolan wondered what Rene was doing...He hadn't seen her in a day or so and there were by-lang wolves all over...He decided to wait.

rene limped gingerly out of her den hind leg stinging and paining it didnt look right and it hurt worse then yesterday. she wondered if it had gotten infected she wanted to stay here but she couldnt she sensed more then one by lang she wolf. she limped heavily over to the chieftans den. "im off to fetch the malcahds" she said to faolan stopping for a second to lick her wound

As Rene limped over toward the tree, Diamond woke by the sound of the leaves under Rene's paws. She opened her eyes to a dim light. (There is a tree covering the sun in front of me) Then, Diamond closed her eyes to go back to sleep.

"fine" she grumbled as she limped off to find the sark of the slough. she limped for a while finally coming to the sarks hut "who there" the sark rasped "its me rene, the obea of the mcduncans" she said walking in "faolan told me to come see you about this" she said gesturing to her leg the sark came and inspected it "its infected" she said the sark gave her some herbs and told her to chew them up and aply themto her leg everyday and she also told the obea not to go out looking for malcahds for a few day "fine!" rene snarled as she limped back home she limped over to faolans den "faolan?"

"Yes Rene?" Faolan replied, wondering what had gone on at the Sark's

"the sark says that i am not to fetch the malcahds today or tommorow" she grumbled

Diamond was woken up by Rene's grumbles. "The sark?" Diamond asked. "Why did you- Oh.." Diamond looked over to Rene's leg. "I hope it gets better." As she looked away from Rene, she see the sun high in the sky. She got up and stretched, then asked her Chieftain, "Can I go hunting, Cheiftain faolan?" She looked hopefully into his eyes.

"Only small game Diamond. You'll be sniffing scat with the byrrgus (I think it's spelled like that) later." Faolan replied. "And Diamond," he started. "Do as the Sark said. NO HUNTING MALCADHS!!"

"Fine" she said and limped back to her caveand started to aply the herbs

As Faolan walked back to his den, he remembered Thunderheart, his second Milk-Giver. A single tear came down his cheek and instead of going back to his den, he howled to Edme saying "I'm going to visit Thunderheart's burial" and she replied with an "ok."
Faolan journeyed to Thunderheart's burial and within 2 days he was there. He sat down and began howling to Thunderheart.
"Thunderheart, Thunderheart
I miss you. You were always
there for me. I miss your heavy beating
heart. How you used to cuddle me.
Know that I am doing fine and Edme and I are living peacefully."
When he was done, he stood up and ran at press-paw speed back home. It took t1 day and when he got back, he slept peacefully, dreaming of his second Milk-Giver.

It was three days after the obea had visited the sark her leg now only had. dull ache. walke over to faolas den only slightly limping. "Edme?" she called out "is faolan back from his trip yet?"

"Yes," Edme replied. "He's over there sleeping."

As Faolan woke up, he saw Rene coming back with blood on her muzzle. "I'm guessing youve eaten, Rene?" He asked and chuckled. "Edme told me you were hunting for malcadhs...How did it go?" he asked, all the sudden serious.

"Go ahead Rene, you've earned it." he said and motioned his head to her den.

Faolan woke up, stretched his paws and walked over to Rene. "Rene," he started. "there are a few malcadhs spread around the territory, one almost to the MacDuff terrritory." he said. "So be careful!" he said and walked back over to Edme after he shot a look at Rene that said good luck.

Itsune huffed as he laid down watching for any what you call "High rankers." The stupid wolves who always pick on Gnaw wolves he then watched and mumbled "Ombrea's...they act like they know everything.." He huffed.

rene went through her usual routine gathering pups and putting them on dangerous tummfraws, by the time she was done the sun was setting and she was tired and hungry. she padded into camp seeing diamond and itsune the two gnaw wolves. gnaw wolves irritated her they were malcahds that had escaped her tummfraws. she padded past not saying a word and picked up a piece of prey she padded to a tree and sat underneath eating the fresh meat.but she had to talk about something to faolan she was concerned about the number of malcahds springing up. she added over to his den "faolan?" she called padding in "i need to talk to you about something very important"

Itsune perked his ears to hear "Malcahds.." He snarled and mumbled towards Rene standing up "I'll show you how a Malchad can screw up your life in ten seconds." He said slowly raising his tail tiny bit.

the obea turned around hearing a voice "stay back malchad" she snarled the word malcahd "i can put you back on that tummfraw if you want me to" even though she was not a high ranking wolf she was still higher then a gnaw wolf and they were supposed to show submission to alll other wolves. she turned back to faolans den.

Itsune snarled and snapped his jaws he then said "You wanna say that word again?" His paws tensing up and his eyes somewhat glowing.

rene turned back around frustrated she walked right up to the gnaw wolfs face "malcahd" she snarled "go chew on a bone" she said turning away and trotting back to faolans den

Itsune snarled and got up he walked towards her and infront of her he snapped his jaws onto her muzzle am threw her to the ground as his scar on his eye where his left eye socket should've been stretched as he wrinkled his muzzle and lifting his lips up reVealing his saber tooth like fangs.

"Foolush wolf!" She snarled escaping grasp and jumping up "you dare attack a higher rank at least diamond knows to stay in her place!" She snapped she grabbed his muzzle and kept it shut letting go shhe snarled "your lucky that i was kind enough to putyou on a tummfraw and not just kill you"

"Mutt...To terrified to fight.." He said what seeme to be walking away but soon off sight of the female he launched at Rene and pinnind her down biting her wounded leg and sinking his Saber like fangs into the wound.

Rene snarled what was this gnaw wolf thinking "just wait until faolan gets his paws on you" she snarled "you will be punished beyond belief!" She yelled

Itsune snarled and got off shakin his fur and sittin back down by Diamond.

"faolan!" she yelled "this... this disgrace to the clan deserves severe punishment he attacked me i was talking to myself about malcahds and he came up to me snarling over the word then he attacked me! it was not apropriate behaviour a gnaw wolf!" she said glaring at itsune

"stupid malcahd" she said to erself to quietly for itsune to hear now her leg throbbed again it had been almost repaired and this inconsiderate disrespectful wolf had torn it open again she sat down and lapped at her wound cleaning it

"thats it!" she lauched herself at itsune pinning him on the ground and grinding his face into the dirt "your a gnaw wolf" she said "and gnaw wolves dont fight back they submit and and show respect to the higher ranks they do not attack others and they do not speak up!!!" she snarled into his face biting down harder on his muzzle "UNDERSTAND!?!!!" she yelled

"Itsune!" Faolan snarled and ran over to him, pinning him down and looking him straight in the eyes (yes, he can do that because he was raised by a grizzly). "What is the meaning of this?!" he asked angrily. "You are a gnaw wolf, not a lord!" he barked and lifted a paw off of his chest, noticing he was pressing a little too hard. "I didn't expect this to happen...For that, you will go AFTER your fellow gnaw wolves when eating..." he snarled and walked away. "And if I hear anything else from anyone," he started. "there will be problems..."

"And last but not least, is another gnaw wolf like you, named Itsune."

Itsune glanced to his side and saw Starlight he huffed and said under his breath "Great..." Walking towards Bones, as he latched his jaws onto one and though "What could I carve..?" He decided to rest and see when he woke up, when he woke up he imaged the pack in a war with the other pack... He woke up and chewed on the bone, as he was done the carvings were very well Detailed he huffed and said "Dear freaking god, I hope it is not True..." Under his breath and walking over towards Faolan, as he dropped the bone infront of him, he huffed and said "There...I went hunting so I ate my OWN food." Lowering his head.
Itsune huffed and walked back to "his tree" and raised a eyebrow seeing Diamond there, he huffe and simply just laid down on the ground.

Faolan stared at Itsune, surprised at his tone. He looked at the bone and noticed his details, they were very much like when he used to carve...And every once and a while he did. He wondered if Itsune actually stood a chance at the Gadderheal!
"Itsune," Faolan started. "come here...NOW." he said sternly.

the obea chuckled as itsune was scolded again but wasnt happy about having to explain her job to a malcahd. "you!" she snapped at starlight "come so i can explain my job and lets do this fast cuz i dont think either of us want to do this!" she waited impatiently for the gnaw wolf

"well im off" she told faolan as she padded away she spent the day sniffing out malcahds and [placing them on tumm fraws all her usual chores. and she checked some of the tummfraws from yesterday finding a few with small pawprints leading away and others had the small lifeless bodies of pups. she returned to the pack at noon. she didnt have the energy to get any more malcahds with their being so many she hadnt been able to catch a break and was exausted
