i'm having a bit of an issue with saving my settings - the anti-alias settings, in specific.
when i go into the options menu, i can fiddle with all of the other settings and after restarting the client, the settings i had set prior are saved. however, in the case of anti-alias, if i try to set it to any one of the options and restart, it does not keep them and keeps it set to "none".
i have tried searching for a solution, but i have found none. my client is the current version, as well, and if it's of any help my rendering system is set to direct3d9.
thanks in advance!

I might be wrong, and I haven't changed my settings for the game in a long time.
But I do believe that AA doesn't work properly since the last patch for the game back in 2011. Though this is for Direct3D9 if you run the game in OpenGL and set AA on in the game options it should work I believe, but for Direct3D9 there will be no difference.
If you have an nvidia graphics card I'd suggest turning on FXAA for Feralheart in the nvidia control panel, it should work for both Direct3D9 rendering and OpenGL rendering, it's basically the same thing as 4x MSAA

that makes sense, and the anti alias settings being dysfunctional is better than it being a problem on my end, haha. however, setting the rendering to opengl and setting the anti alias setting that way worked!
the main reason behind the question itself was due to be having downloaded a mod that shaded the character, and the shading was appearing blocky so i figured it was the anti alias settings. i should've given opengl a try earlier, haha!
so thank you very much for your reply & solution, red! i appreciate it. c:
