I know the removal of General chat has been in discussion quite frequently lately, but I've seen multiple conflicting responses. I just want to know, straight out, and since numbers don't lie I decided to make this quick little poll. Post your opinions as well if you'd like too, but I'll mostly be watching the poll. :-\

A poll is a good idea, but unfortuantely... I don't think it's going to get much attention here. :\ Hopefully a mod or admin will make a poll in News/Updates so that more people will see it. But that's only the people who visit the forums regularly? How will people who only play in-game know about it? And surely it affects them too.

It seems to have gotten more attention since whichever nice mod edited it to say General Chat Poll, but I see why it wouldn't get much attention as is. (Whoever modded the post, +floof if I ever find out ^^)

I saw BigSkippy looking at this thread earlier, just to tell ya. But it seems that it was Suragaha, because it says the one who last edited was her.
And I don't remember what I voted a while ago... huh.

Why not try to advertise it in the game itself? It's true that not many will be able to notice this as they mostly stay in-game, and even if they check the forums they're probably most likely only going to notice and read the RIP General thread, but if people are pointing it out in the game then it's sure to get more attention ^.^
Especially those who really want General back will come on and vote. It should be an easy and simple task, too, if we find the "General Protesters" with their green-characters and tell them about it, and they'll likely spread the word even more. Just hopefully in this way it'll be handled much more effectively and maturely.
I would love to do so myself, but I had trouble logging on in the public maps before this happened (I've always spent my time in my pack's private maps for ages now). If I tried logging on now, it might just fry my computer >.< (probably exaggerating, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened)

You're right, if we want more people to vote, we'll have to advertise it somehow. But I bet what'll happen if we advertise it in game, people will only latch on our backs for our opinion and support (or unsupport if you could call it that xD). Oh well, if you want an opinion, be prepared to defend it, eh?

Well I had signed it. I really do not care that general is gone because I have no use to it, but others did had some use to it... I'll even admit that chat did actually helped me find some decent rps.

Yeah, that crossed my mind, but as you said, defending your opinion haha. Plus, all that really needs to be mentioned is that there's a poll, no need to say "Vote for General coming back!" or "Vote for keeping General down!", or anything of the like. It's also really a matter of ignoring insults and shoves, all they are are words on a screen and all that matters is getting those who want to vote to hear and direct them to the location of the poll :3

I think advertising in game would be wonderful, it just amuses me how we're advertising a poll for general chat...which was an advertising feature itself. I'll have to send out a few movie clips and maybe go find a group for local chat next time I'm in game. ^3^

I almost put "we can make a shout out in general" or something along those lines a number of times in my previous post out of habit, then I would remember that it was down and that'd be impossible haha.
It seems like we're already getting this more well known, though! Since I voted, which had been last night, around twenty others or so (I forget how many votes were in the other polls) have voted since. Still not many compared to the entire community, but even so it's making progress.

The roleplays that are just starting out. Those use the General Chat all the time. All roleplays do when they come to advertise. As stated on the RIP General Thread, clicking a one line movie clip is much harder than clicking on the ad itself. I myself have had trouble clicking on movie clips. Some people lag with the movie clips. I am one of them. Personally, I miss General. I found the Novum roleplay, as well as the TWB(The Wonderful Beginning) rp in General. This seems to have seriously impacted the community. I do agree that some of the General chat is odd, and gross at times. But the majority of the time, its ads and such. Some people lag horribly at the stone bridge, due to the amount of people it had before General was taken down. It probably is even more crowded than it was.

Not all the views are people who have read the thread. I read it at least once a day to see the new posts, so I myself have viewed this at least 10 times. Still, more people should have voted >:I

People that want general back should make a few movies about this poll in game and spread the word around flourite. So few people actually visit this site!
I personally don't mind general being gone, but I would like to see the out come of this ^^

Lol, the people who want it back are already outnumbering those who don't..
The 47 who actually want it back, plus you can add the people who will miss it. They didn't say it must come back like most of us, but it could still lean more toward, people are missing General and probably want it back. So... 47 + 24, that's about.. 71. 71 compared to the 16 who don't want it back. That is still the majority, so Raz's statements are quite incorrect.
Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but I would guess that at least 70% (Give or take a few)of the people who have voted want General back. I am liking the outcome of this. Lolol.

That actually doesn't surprise me at all really. I find it hard to believe that even the voters who don't want it back don't miss that friendly green chat even the slightest bit. Of course, general's still in private maps, but you can't advertise in a private map. That's the stuff you advertise for. Glad to see the total votes picking up! (I'm thinking there's been at least +30 per day)

Nah you're fine ^^ (sheesh, even since my last post 3 more voters, wouldn't be surprised if it went over 110 by tomorrow) I just find it funny how there's always one vote on the last option, on both the polls I've started anyway x3

This is yet another "General chat poll" Even though it's less of the "We want general back" in this it's still what it is. Things will as said in the main thread for this matter be looked into, but time will be given first.
The discussion should also take place in that very thread if possible.

Even though I see what you are trying to bring up to the table here I still need to lock this down because for at the moment, here and now, this is not something that will be needed.
