Title: Feral Heart Dying on me.. Again.

Okay, I have browsed around and haven't found many helpful things.. if any. This only happens sometimes, but the game just fades into black like it does when you don't touch it. Difference is, it never goes back. I have to turn off my laptop and restart, no matter what I was working on. I have pressed every helpful button I think I could have, including esc, control alt delete, tab, etc etc. I can't really uninstall FH because I have WAY too much work on there to back up. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help and if there are related posts, I apologize for not seeing them.

Note : It's not FH+, it's not just a black background.

Personally, I have never experienced this before, but I guess it may have something to do with your computer's programms usage. Why don't you try closing everything before going online in Feralheart? (internet, other stuff, etc) I think laptops are not as sturdy as computer towers, and as feralheart is a game that combines engines and internet your computer may not take it if a lot of programs are open. Hope I helped a little :D

I believe there are no posts like this; if not, I have not seen them either. But perhaps you might have downloaded something that has effected your computer. Bug on your computer? If I were you, I wouldn't go on Feral Heart in-game for a while, and see how it effects your computer. If it isn't Feral Heart, I would suspect there might be a bug on your computer.

Seems like a video card/display problem.
Not sure if we can update the display card, but if it keeps happening you should buy a new computer.

Sounds more like a rendering issue.

Go to your FeralHeart folder, and open ogre.cfg with Notepad. When you've done this, replace the first line of text with Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem, then save and close the window.

Restart FH, and see if it'll work for you, then. c:

Thanks for the help everyone. <3 WhiteLight, I will try this. To the others~ I have not downloaded anything recently, so I really don't think it's a bug. I have had this game since early 2012. This is only recently happening.

Edit: My folder already says that, WHL. Thanks anyways. It's okay, I am sure I will deal with it. It happens like 1/10 times. Maybe 2/10.

Okies, Anuik~ I guess we'll switch to the other render system, then! xD

Repeat the same process I described above, but instead I want you to replace the first line of text with Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem.

Typically those having rendering issues work best on Direct3D9, but OpenGL might work a little better for you. Hope this helps. c;
