Title: My controls are messed up!

When I logged onto the game today and began to play, I was unable to turn my character with the left and right arrows while using W to run. I was able to turn my cam and character before with the left and right arrows when using the W key but now for some reason I cannot do this. My controls are set to A and D for turning the cam right or left, and the left and right arrows are used to turn which direction my character runs. I want it so that the left and right arrows controls both the cam and the direction I go, so please help!

No need to worry, Shasta. Press Esc. on your keyboard when in-game. Click on "Options", then. A window should appear, with four tabs you can choose from. Click "Controls" and you'll see a list of the game controls. Locate your desired controls and change them the way you want them to be. Hope this helps. c:

I have already done this, and two different actions can't have the same controls. They started working again like they should have just a little bit ago, but then I got a bad token going to Atlantis and now they are all messed up again

The controls keep switching on me, at one point I will be able to use to left and right arrow keys to go right or left while using W to run, and then at another point I won't be able to do so and instead have to use D and A to navigate right or left :(

Try pressing the right CTRL button on your keyboard :)

Well if it doesn't work you should start to reinstall FH, backup any importante files, like presets items etc.
It needs to be the game, since when I installed FH for the first time the + and - (numpad) didn't work after putting them.

Mmk, I'll try these methods, but how would I backup my FH files such as what you mentioned?

To backup files, all you do is pretty much copy and paste files and folders and place them outside the Feralheart folder. For example just put the folders on your desktop. This is so when you re-install or redownload you don't lose any downloaded mods and additions you added to the game, along with your maps and presets.

I would recommend moving folders such as Terrains, my_presets, Presets, Textures, Objects, Items, Sky,  and any other folders which have any added files or made objects/sky/weather/maps etc.

As for the files, I would move Items.cfg and the Emotes.cfg file which are found in your main Feralheart folder.

Once you've moved all the folders and files that you want then I would proceed with re-installing and re-download ;)

Well the ctrl botton method worked, and I thank you so much for the help! But I now have a question that is off topic, and I don't want to post a whole new topic just to ask it

Well my friend downloaded a map I made, and her game keeps crashing on her when she tries to go to it, she has uninstalled and reinstalled once or twice before since then and it still crashes. Is there a way to fix it? I know that the map file itself wasn't within the download file, so I put it in there and fixed the link on my downloadable map topic so that when people download it they get the items AND the map, would it not crashed if she tried redownloading the whole thing as one piece? Lol I know that's two questions in one but yeah XD

Alright so I'm a bit confused about the problem you're having now. So pretty much you gave your friend one of your maps but she crashes whenever she tries to enter the map?

I have downloaded feralheart and then write something like gasit.Apoi Fiser was not when I try to install it all so I zice.Va please help me! ??? ???

I downloaded feralheart and then write something like Fiser was not found. FelarHeart then try to install the game and did not let me and tells me Fiser not found! Help me!

I took a look at your thread in the Off-Topic Discussion board, not really sure what I can do about that I'm afraid. I know for one that Feralheart would definitely not cause a virus. If I ever do see BlizzardofOzz I will let her know.

As for the map problem, I have a few ideas on that.

The crashing could possibly be occurring because there may be too much lag in the map, too much for your friend's computer to handle. Another reason, a more unlikely reason is there may have been a missing file in the download.

You could try re-exporting the map and giving your friend a new download and see if that works. Make sure there are no errors when you are exporting the map. Oh, and before your friend enters the map it would be a good idea to turn off the water reflection and the view distance down, that should reduce the lag if that is the actual problem.

If those solutions don't work, instead of placing all the files into the Exports folder try placing the files in Media folders:

- .fhm file should go in the Terrains folder
- .fho go in the Objects folder
- .fhs and .fhw go in the Sky folder.

Don't make new folders for these files though!

If that still doesn't work then you may have to wait for a server restart, when the game server is turned off and you have to wait to be able to connect to the game again. I've downloaded a few maps and I crashed when entering them. After the server derps and comes back I was able to enter the map without crashing. Not sure why this happens but most of the time it works.

Wolf, please make your own thread, this topic is unrelated to your issue. You are more likely to get answers and solutions a lot quicker if you make your own thread.

Try pressing insert. When i would play on a PC, that would change my controls. Hope it helped, if it did nuzzle me!

I feel rude asking so many questions, I've just had to reinstall the game because of some issues when I had the virus which has luckily been removed and I am back on track. Anyways, I have tried reexporting a map before and it kept telling me it couldn't. And I have a whole new question now, would either of you know how to change the sounds of the howl and roar? I'm sorry if I'm burdening anyone with these questions one after another, but I've tried searching for these things on how to do them on my own and haven't found anything that helps except here

Here, I can help with changing your Howl/Roar sounds.

Ouka's Bundle of Stuff (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=22971.0)

Merely choose the sound you'd like, download it, then save it in your Feralheart>Media>Sounds folder. However, once you save it, you'll have to get rid/replace the files named 'howl1' and 'roar1'. The sounds you just downloaded, merely rename them as 'roar1' for the roar or 'howl1' for the howl. Merely re-launch the game and it should then work.

Ok, I'll try that, but I was thinking of using my own sounds, like a different type of roar than what Ouka has. Thanks for the tip
