Alright, so I made a map for my RP, and since there are only a couple of people who're are coming in, I just e-mailed the files to them. (in a .zip file)
I went to my map in Map Maker and hit "Export". Then I went to my exports and copy/pasted everything into a folder called "Mithrim Map". I told the people I gave it to to extract the items and copy and paste them in their own exports folder (It only had .fhm and .fho files in it by the way). Then I told them a portal to my map should be in Cape of Distant Worlds called "Elemental Grove". But they told me they didn't see it.
Was it me, or my friend that did something wrong?

I have had this problem, and what you need to do is find the actual .map file in your terrains of Elemental Grove and give it to your friends, otherwise they have the items but not the map thus causing them to not be able to see the portal. My friend and I tried figuring out why she couldn't see my map's portal after she downloaded it and I realized that the .map file wasn't with the rest of the exported map folder

Adding onto what Shasta said above, you need to gather all the files for the map (.fho .fhm .fhs .fhw) and put them into a zip file. (Or whatever they are called. xD) Then you use that and upload it with uploading sites such as Mediafire. Once it's done uploading, click on it, and the download page should appear. That's the link you need to give to your friends. Hope this helps.

Does the .map file go inside their terrain folder? Or the export folder...? OvO
Lolz, thankers Kiki X3

The .map file belongs in their exports folder in order for it to work for them, but you can find it in your terrains folder

Lol, thankers Shasta. I'll try this out with them tomorrow to see if it works (>~w^)>
