Forum ranks below our in-game tags!
Wouldn't it be awesome if we had our ranks below our name tags? Just think of it. Everyone in-game would have their ranks displayed below their name tags so they could show the other members of FeralHeart how much involved they get within the community and the game itself. Let me give you a few examples:
All the staff would have their ranks shown below their name tags in-game to show people who they are.
e.g. Red would have his name tag shown as:
[Character name]
Redlinelies
Forum Head Admin
Wolffie's tag would be like this:
[Character name]
Wolffox
Global Moderator
Crin would have her's like:
[Character name]
Crin
Moderator
And they would all be in sync with the forum ranks.
The other members would cave something like this:
[Character name]
Ingredient
Hero member
[Character name]
BigBangTheory
Full member
Etc..etc.. I think you get the idea.
Also! If a member didn't want to show their rank identity, they would simply un-tick the 'Rank tag' box in Options. Seems simple enough. This rank tag would also make people feel awesome about themselves because they now know that people in-game know how important you are and how much you get involved in FeralHeart itself.
Same with Roleplays! The group owner would have the option to click on the name that is listed in the group names and they will be able to type in what rank they are given. Then when you kick them from the group or they leave the group, their rank tag would disappear.
If you don't like the idea, please don't be rude about it. Thanks!

Wow! I would love this. It is a really great idea. Especially with the group ranks.
The only thing I can see going wrong with this is that people might show off how important they are, or they might feel a bit down because they still have the 'Newbie' tag. (I had the newbie tag for atleast a year when I was in the game loads, yet didn't go in the forums much.) So maybe ingame can count as your ingame rank, so we can keep forum ranks in the forums, then we have game ranks for ingame.

I doubt what would happen, but if did, that's why we report people. If they said something harsh like 'Hahaha, I have a bigger rank that you!' or something worse then we can always report it and inform a member of staff about harassment. Also, you'd be able to untick the box so they may hide their rank if they don't wish to show it :] There will always be a way to resolve something.
I love your thoughts and opinions on the negatives though. Awesome job :]

I quite like this idea. It'll save staff members being pestered by people asking "R u a mod???" or "R u an admin?" They'll know just by looking at them. Same with non-staff members; I was asked if I was a mod once, but if we had these ranks under our name tags people will know with certainty who's a staff member and who isn't.
The only down side I can think of is what Kiaz said; people who are in the 'newbie' rank might not like their rank to be on display because they think people will take the mick... But if we had a function for people to switch theirs off then that kinda solves it.
People with very high ranks might strut about saying "Check my out, I'm a legendary member," which no doubt will annoy some people. But I wouldn't consider that a major problem, since we can always just report the trolls. :)

I love this idea! But one question... how would we get the higher ranks?
Experience and helping others? Activity? How long you've been playing? That's what I'm asking.
Though it's a wonderful idea. I really hope it's added into the game some day even if Kovu isn't here with us nowadays. :)

I think Buffet here was suggesting that they were in synch with our forum ranks. So you Hugrf would be a 'elder member' and I would be a 'full member'.

It would basically be sync with the forum ranks, like I mentioned in my first post :]

I personally ADORE this idea. It sorta shows how much effort you put into helping around the forum, helping others, dedicating presets and maps.
I would just love to have it. Because, if someone who's just starting out, and doesn't know what to do, they could just walk up to someone who's a Jr, Full, or Elder member, could ask all the questions the need to know, it's brilliant!~
This is just a side thingy: What if the forum had different tags? Like people who mostly enjoy welcoming others.. tag could be like 'Welcoming Committee' or something like that?

I don't think su because if there were welcoming committee tags then it's not likely that everyone would stick to the job. Anyway, most of the people who welcome members into the game are people who are more experienced with the forum. Even if there were people who only welcome members to the game, I'm sure they would say that they couldn't help another member with their problems.
Nice thought though!

That's a good point. I never thought of that.

I like the idea quite alot really 8D, although it does seem like more work for Raz to do since he's always watching over the server. Plus this feature may not work so well for some other reasons. But I really really like this idea don't get me wrong. XD if Red didn't have enough people fallowing him...having that "head admin" under his name will make him stand out like crazy.
-
I think this would be quite a fun idea, but what would happen if people started having requirements related to ranking? Such as, only Dedicated members can join a group, or Jr. Members must have the lowest group rank? While I think this would be a nice little add-on, I'm just worried about what may come out of it as a result.

Aye, but I'm sure we'd need KovuLKD for this, I know he's no longer around but yeah, I think we'd need him. I also said:
"If a member didn't want to show their rank identity, they would simply un-tick the 'Rank tag' box in Options." (If there was a new box installed. xD)

Well, if this Idea was ever put in-game then I'm sure they'd put some rules about the new feature to stop people from having this 'He said, She said' incident.

Could I... make another little comment thingie?
What if we could be able to customize our own tag. Say someone doesn't want it to say 'Newbie', 'Jr.', 'Sr.', 'Elder' they could be able to customize it.
Like:
[Character name]
PotatoPotPie
AKA PinkemenaPotPie
