Chapter Guide
Chapter 1: In The Dark of the Night
It's raining... no... more like it's pouring. Night has fallen over the ruined city. Many demons are roaming, and it seems like there is nowhere to go at all... but...
A young girl walks the streets alone. The necklace around her neck is a sapphire cross. She witnesses a demon killing a human, and charges in to help.
The demon succeeds at killing the human, but runs off towards the mansion, only to be decapitated by a demon slayer with a katana, who catches the attention of another girl with black hair.
The slayer breaks one of the mansion's windows by kicking a demon head at it, then walked away to report to her boss.
The girl with the black hair had, surprisingly, taken shelter, somewhere in the ruins. From there, she watches as the girl with the blue hair disappears into a, near collapsing, library.
Within the library, the slayer meets with a seventy year old man who is blind, and reports to him about the demons, and gives him new information on them.
Meanwhile, Sapphire kills a demon with her cross, after settling in a restaurant to escape the rain. The demon isn't poisonous, so she consumes it.
Outside, Yusuke saves Zorro from a demon, and they introduce themselves, while they're both on the look out for more demons. When the coast is clear, Yusuke explains that it may not be safe, and leads Zorro to the library she and the blind man stay in.

Name: Yusuke Dark
Age: 18 years
Gender: Female
Profession: Slayer/Mercenary
Personality: Nearly silent, instinctive, always has to use violence to speak her mind.
Description: 5'8 girl with bright blue hair, and paper white skin. She has bright red eyes, her hair goes down to the center of her back and her bangs cover her left eye. She is considerably beautiful, and has a katana that's sharp enough to have zero failure at cutting.
Bio: Both of her parents were in the process of being killed by the demons, so she put her parents out of their misery before killing the demons. Since then, she has been trying to find a way to catch the mayor off guard... She is contemplating on posing as a demon.

Name: Zorro Ambre D'Fallows
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Profession: Murr. Can't think of any.
Personality: Sly, clever, quick-witted, mischievous. She's nicknamed Zorro Silvertongue for her talent of using words wisely. She can be quite infuriating and annoying at times, and just loves to piss people off. She can be kind if she wants to, and would rather avoid combat. She hates it when people call her a coward, and she's very good at masking her expression/feelings.
Description: She's relatively tall for her age. Her hair is a raven black and stops at half her neck, giving her a slight boyish look. Her eyes are a sharp, dark green, and she usually wears a black jacket over some random shirt, and jeans to complete the look. Black and white sneakers. She has a three-claw scar across her left leg.
Bio: She was born as an orphan as was often bullied as being unable to defend herself, using her words to lure others instead. Which would explain her not like people calling her a coward. She never knew her parents, and grew up as a thief in the city. She watched as the city fell apart, but hasn't actually decided to do anything but hide and try to survive.

I sorta saw something similar. Somebody opened up a portal or something and demons started coming in and disguising themselves as human and started killing people slowly. xD))

Personality: She is kind and sweet, and seeks at way to defeat the demons.
Description: She wears a white robe with a T-shirt underneath and jeans. She wears a necklace that has a sapphire on it.
Bio: Sapphire's parents were killed by the demons, like most other families. Before her parents died, they gave her a necklace with a cross-shaped sapphire. Saying they would not kill, just ward off demons, she set off on a quest to defeat the mayor and rebuild Night City.

Sapphire wandered the streets, depressed. Her family had just been killed by the stupid demons the mayor had unleashed. They left her nothing but the Sapphire necklace around her neck. She promised them she would defeat the mayor. By herself? She looked at the cross shaped Sapphire. Her mother said it would ward off demons. If she had to fight the mayor it would come in handy. She saw a demon in the distance, chasing someone.. The demon was much faster. Sapphire wondered if she should help. Suddenly the demon lunged and pinned the poor person. It was over quickly. Outraged by what the mayor had done to the innocent city, Sapphire charged and grabbed the demon. Caught by surprise the demon howled as he saw the sapphire on the girl's neck. sapphire held the demon too tightly for it to escape. The demon screeched and got weaker. Sapphire moved the necklace towards it's chest and it shrieked in pain. She touched the cross-jewel to it's chest and it gasped for breath. Sapphire realized it the sapphire touched a demon's chest it weakened it severely. What would she have to do to kill it though? She let it go and the howling demon ran off towards the mayor's mansion. She looked at the dead body the demon had ruthlessly killed. Poor guy. Nobody deserves such a fate. Sapphire looked towards the mayor's mansion. If she wanted to defeat the mayor, she had a long way to go. Sapphire headed down the streets, warding off anything that got n her way.

The black haired girl trudged along the dark streets, fringe falling into her eyes as she lowered her head to stare at the cracked pavement. She hardly paid any attention to anything around her, thoughts swirling through her mind. She did, however, lift her head when she heard a yell, and stilled, green eyes searching the roads. She ignored the wet drops falling from her hair to her shoulder as she found a strange thing at the other side, one with blue hair and ridiculous red eyes. She wasn't sure whether one of these were demons, so the younger girl simply stared.

The red eyes slayer watched as the demon's blood ran to her feet, being washed away by the rain. She looked up towards the sky, and allowed the blood to be washed from her face as well. She then drop kicked the demon's head further into the mansion's gates, and wound up busting a window by accident. She began walking, almost running, away once she heard the noise, and then a scream.

She furrowed her brow in confusion when the head was kicked. She really didn't like this. Any of this. She continued walking off, the scream ringing in her ears as she turned another corner, drowning back in her thoughts as she travelled the city. The normal teenager moved into a tilted building, slipping in and seeking shelter from the heavy rain. She ran a hand through her hair as she looked up, leaning back against a wall.

She sighed. Now, all she had to do was return to her boss and tell him that she was two steps closer to meeting her quota on demons slain. She walked alone again, making certain that she wasn't being followed by any of the mayor's loyals.

Sharp green eyes followed a figure in the distance, hand moving upwards to brush the hair from her face as well. She narrowed her eyes slightly. Definitely looked much like a demon, but she'd just dropkick a demon's head, so not likely. Unless this was different. Something urged her to meet the figure, but she stayed put for now. Not good to just suddenly approach a creepy looking person with a huge katana, was it. Especially when all you have is a small dagger that would certainly be broken with that other weapon. She simy watched, again, for now.

The slayer blinked as she approached, what used to be, a library. The wolves on either side nearly resembled the Sphinx in Egypt; one was missing a nose, the other was nowhere to be identified as an actual creature.
The building itself had a sunken roof, to the point of where one of the columns that once stood outside were now halfway inside, while the other blocked the door. The brick was obviously warn, and the cement was badly chipped.
She leapt up onto one of the columns, and used it to get inside. She walked carefully, trying not to fall. When she reached the end of it, she jumped down, plummeting into the darkness of the decrepit old building, and landing on her feet.

(Sorry that I haven't posted in a bit, really busy X_X Sapphire has black-blue long hair, bright blue eyes, and wears a robe with a white T-shirt and blue jeans underneath, and of course she has her necklace.)
Sapphire looked at her necklace. Without it, she probably had no hope. She trudged on, heading towards a Resteraunt. It was broken, the roof had holes in at least 4 places, and the door was ripped from it's hindges. Sapphire cautiously walked in. Despite having her necklace, she was scared. She made her way into the kitchen and scavenged it for food. She found a bunch of french fries. She put the warmest looking one in her mouth. They were salty, but cold. Sapphire heard a hissing sound behind her. She whirled around and a large but skinny demon leapt at her. Sapphire yanked off her necklace and the demon yowled at the sight of the cross. Sapphire grabbed the demon and killed it with the cross. Sapphire tried her best to tear it open. No poison spilled out. Sapphire knew the looks of poison because she had seen it loads of times on TV. She took a bit of meat and stuffed it in her mouth. It was actually good.

The demon-like girl sighed as she walked through the building. With every step, dust fell from the once sturdy ceiling. "Peter..." She said, her voice echoing. "Argo, you've lied. The demons have nearly run out of skins to wear, so they're attacking in their true forms..." She approached a man who was in, at least, his seventies. He sat behind a mountain of books over the demons. Surprisingly, there were a lot.
"Is that so?" He said, standing up to reveal his large nose and colorless eyes. He was visibly blind, but his sense of touch was sensitive enough to read the words on the page. "Well then, the beasts being 'skin crawlers' is out of the question." His Russian accent hung heavily in his voice.
The girl nodded. "Anything else you wanted me to do?" She asked, her blade clicking faintly.
"Da, go find whatever's been driving them so bold."
"Yessir." She said quietly and turned to leave.
"Oh, and Yusuke." He said, glancing up at her. "Don't break any more of the mansion's windows. You scared the poor maid senseless."
She knew the phones no longer worked in this place. But, she also knew that the old man always knew when she broke something. "It's funny, Argo. You're as blind as a chicken at night, yet you know everything that I screw up with."
The man chuckled. "The seeing see very little." Then, he turned back to the book.
The girl nodded, then walked out of the building the way she came.

When the other person had walked into the large building, she came out from her shelter and walked the streets again. She had nothing to do, really. - No plan for anything. She bit her lip when she turned a corner and was greeted with the horrible face of a demon. She stepped back, hand fumbling in her pocket before she drew out her dagger. The demon lunged and she swiftly sidestepped, dodging the demon, but barely staying stable. Speaking to a demon wouldn't help, she knew. She pointed the sharp tip of her weapon at the smirking demon, backing way until she met a wall.

The slayer blinked as she walked around, her katana slung over her shoulder like a gun. She turned a corner and looked down an alleyway. She saw a demon cornering something. She drew her blade, making a metallic hiss.

Zorro's attention moved from the demon to the sudden noise, and so did the demon.

Sapphire wiped her mouth, and pushed the demon into a corner. She looked around at what this place had to offer. An eating room, a kitchen, and a food storage room. Not too bad, I might be able to live here. Sapphire made her way into the food storage and opened a random cabinet. There were hamburger and hot dog buns. She took one, it was freezing cold and hard. She looked around for something to warm it up under. Only the lights. Sapphire shook her head, she could not spend hours standing under a light waiting for food to warm up. She put the bun with the french fries and flipped a switch beside it. The heat lamp turned on, but it showed signs of weakness. She shook the lamp and it got better, but was not in top condition yet. She sighed and looked around. The seats had cushions on them. Sapphire walked outside into the ran and searched for anything she could pry it off with. She walked to the park (Or what used to be the park). Usually there was stuff there.

Sapphire arrived in the 'park'. She opened the gate and walked in, searching the ground for anything useful. She found a crowbar, but unfortuneatly it was getting rusty. Grabbing it and tucking it in her robe, Sapphire ran back to the restraunt. Once she arrived she ran in and took the cold crowbar out. She looked around for something sharp. How could I be so stupid! There has to be a knife around here somewhere. She ran into the kitchen and looked around for a knife. She saw the knifes on a table and grabbed the sharpest one. She walked back to the crowbar and held it firmly on the ground. She started to use the knife to scrape off all the rust. She put the knife back, and picked up the crowbar. Time to pry some cushions.

The slayer approached. "You demons are so dumb..." She said, raising her blade. "If you run now, I want kill you as quickly." She said, red eyes focused on the demon.

The girl watched silently as the demon growled back, not willing to run off. Instead, it lunged for the blue haired girl, snarling like some animal. Zorro raised her small dagger, ready to run and help just in case.

Yumi sighed as she riled the sharpened blade through the demon's head from under its chin. The demon made an evil, sickly hiss. She sighed as she flung its body off of her blade. "Everything alright?" She said, turning to the other girl. She made sure the demon was dead by lopping off its head.

"Uh, yeah. Thanks." She spoke, giving a small bow of appreciation, but still held her dagger aloft slightly. She backed up a little, eyes studying the demon-looking girl with small interest.

She blinked and nodded slightly. "The demons ran out of bodies to possess. Be careful." She said, resheathing her katana. "It's not a good idea to stick to the shadows."

"And rather be out in the open?" She mumbled, eyebrows knitting together in confusion. She still had no idea how the demon's worked - only that they killed. She let her eyes fall upon a random restaurant in the distance, or rather, the shadow of it on the ground. She moved a wet strand of hair from her face.

Zorro frowned lightly in small confusion, but said nothing further. She moved her gaze back to the strange looking girl in front of her. "Uh..." She hesitated for a moment. "I'm Zorro. What's your name?" She asked, lowering her dagger now.

"Yusuke Dark." she said with a small bow as she glanced around, being on the look out for more demons. Her red eyed gaze darted from one wall to the other, then she used the mirror-like surface of her blade to see behind her.

"Nice to meet you." She spoke, watching silently as Yusuke looked around. She tilted her head slightly, nervously wringing her hands together. "Do you kill demons a lot?" She asked, mentally scolding herself. What a stupid question.

"It's my job, actually." She said, smiling lightly. "I'm a slayer."

Zorro nodded. "I'm guessing you're pretty good at the job." She chuckled lightly, remembering how Yusuke had made it seem so easy to just slice a demon's head off. She swallowed, glancing over at the limp body of the headless demon.

"Well... My employer keeps me around for it, that's for sure." She stretched and glanced at the body. "We should find another place... If we're not careful, that body will lead bigger demons to us."

She nodded in agreement, suddenly feeling safe in Yusuke's presence. "Lead the way." she mumbled, eyes still fixed on the dead body. She swallowed, shifting slightly on her feet, uncomfortable with the thought of more demons coming.

She blinked as she turned to leave the alley. She began to walk towards the old library that she had come from. "I highly doubt Argo will mind you staying with us. He's blind, so he can't really tell what you look like. But, he's a good guy. He's trying to find a way to seal the demons for good."

Name: Zamora Meteli
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Profession: Slayer
Personality: Zamora's a bit hard to figure out. She doesn't really get attached to people anymore, seeing as her past relationships with others spoiled that aspect of life for her. More of a "kill first, ask questions later" type of girl, she tends to drift from place to place, knowing that staying in one place too long could spell out death. Those that actually manage to break through that tough outer shell (and believe me, it takes a while) will be surprised to find... well, the same thing. She's clever and fickle, using niceness only as far as it'll take her. So, yeah. A lot more will be hashed out in the posts.
Description: Zamora's pretty short, only standing around 5'1" and weighing a little over 100 lbs. She has choppy, dark brown hair that reaches her shoulders, along with bangs that don't quite reach her eyelashes. Her eyes are a dark teal color (actually the color used for this text) and are flecked with cobalt and navy blue. She typically wears clothes that could be considered "girly," like those cute screen-printed tees and high-heeled boots. However, she can just as easily be comfortable in jeans, a hoodie, and sneakers.
Bio: Zamora lived on the outskirts of the city from the time she was born. She would often take odd jobs, just so she'd be able to have some of her own spending money. However, thanks to the demons, she never really got to spend any of it on what she truly wanted. Seeing a demon tear apart her friend Satara made her want to become a slayer. With the money she had saved, she purchased a b? and two daggers, which she had engraved with runes that would ensure the demise of any creature that met the wrong end of it. She's not sure if her parents are still alive or if they've been killed by demons, but she feels that if she comes across them, she'll be forced to kill.

A deafening scream resonated through the ruins of what was once Night City. A large, bipedal creature stumbled down the pavement, a large dagger protruding from its side. The dagger seemed to glow a faint red, the color tracing swirls up the hilt, which was the only part that was still visible. It collapsed after a few moments, writhing and convulsing on the slick, wet pavement.
From atop a long-ago destroyed building., a girl with dark chocolate hair and dark teal eyes watched, hand gripped on a b?. Her other dagger, emanating a cool blue glow, lay holstered against her hip. She watched as the demon shuddered its last, falling still. With a cold grin, Zamora leapt from the building, landing and rolling toward the mass. She removed the dagger, grimacing at the slick, black blood that coated the metal. She'd probably have to clean that later, when she wasn't in as much danger.
Then again, life on the streets of what was once Night City was always dangerous. Demons scoured the streets, searching for any person unfortunate enough to be out alone. Those poor souls were snatched and replaced by the demon, who used the form of a human to commit heinous deeds. When the hull had been spent, it was discarded, and the demon merely moved on. Zamora had taken it upon herself to kill any and all demons that had the bad luck of crossing her. She'd killed probably five or six demons since the beginning of the year, all thanks to that b? and pair of daggers.
As she made her way down the slick pavement, a flicker of darkness moved through her peripheral vision. Quickly, she whipped the b? out, stalking quickly and quietly down the sidewalk, poised to strike.

Yusuke froze, red eyes glowing with caution. She kept a hand on the hilt of her katana. "We're being followed..." She said quietly, watching a smoke-like glow of red and an identical glow of blue nearby. She growled faintly, halfway drawing her blade and allowing the, now visible, blue moon that highlighted her paper-white skin and bright blue hair, to give the ebony blade a ghostly gleam.

Zorro nodded, glancing around. She tilted her head at Yusuke's next words. "How do you know?" She muttered, half of it to herself. She felt herself tense when the girl pulled out her weapon, uncomfortably shuffling her feet. If someone was here, they'd probably should be going now.

Zamora stalked forward carefully, her eyes narrowed. Moonlight glittering off the wet road, bathing everything in a faint light. She spotted a pair of girls, one wielding a katana and the other merely shuffling back and forth. The katana-wielder's eyes seemed to glow in the light, and, to be honest, that was all Zamora needed.
Slinging her b? across her back, she grabbed her daggers, fingers falling into the grooves in the hilt comfortably. This girl with the sword was actually a demon, attempting to hide among humans. Zamora would have none of that. She'd make this her latest kill and maybe, just maybe, take a new trophy to her makeshift home.
Sticking to the shadows, she darted forward in an attempt to confuse the demon. Once she had come close enough, she leapt forward, swinging her daggers toward the red-eyed girl.
(I know Yusuke's not a demon don't worry uwu)

Zorro jumped back in silent shock, stumbling slightly in her haste. "Yusuke...!" She yelled, eyes widening a considerable amount. Well, Yusuke was right, for one. The girl's hands quickly moved to her dagger, hands clutching it tightly, but she didn't move. Hesitation. One part of her mind told her to move, help out, another part screamed at her that she didn't need to do anything. The two could handle themselves. Right?

Yusuke drew her katana another third out of its sheath, pulling it across her body, and blocked the daggers with it. Once they hit, the sound of metal hitting and sliding against sharpened metal echoed through the streets. "Those daggers of yours have runes..." she said quietly, as her blade seemed to scream faintly. "Are you a slayer?"
((She stands out like a chicken in an ostrich farm. o.o))

A growl ripped from Zamora's throat as the girl blocked her attack with her katana. The slicing of metal against metal sent shivers down her spine; she had long ago gotten used to being blocked by the claws of demon and became almost oblivious to the feeling the metal collide with keratin. The exertion of force by her opponent bent her hands back uncomfortably, eventually causing her to release her daggers. As soon as she let go, she jumped back, loosening her wrists.
"Yeah, what's it to you?" She replied, narrowing her eyes. "Are you?" She reached back, grabbing her b?. "Because if you aren't, know that you're fair game to me."

"I am, yes." she said, eyes narrowed. The force this girl used had moved her backwards quite a bit, and she only barely realized it. "I work for Argo, the old man trying to study the demons, and see how fast they're adapting."

Sapphire strolled through the kitchen, searching for any food that was not Demon Meat. She found a large metal cabinet. It was cold to the touch. Sapphire opened it. A figure was crouched down, eating what looked like hard hamburger buns. It turned, and it was a Demon. It howled and lunged at her. The demon pushed Sapphire to the ground and clawed her arm, leaving three dark red marks. With a scream of pain and anger, she reached for her cross, shoving it at the creature. It's eyes widened, and scrambled off of her. Sapphire got to her feet, chasing the demon out with the blue cross. It scurried to the mansion. She walked back, wincing as she moved her injured arm. Sapphire looked in the cabinet, seeing the hamburger meats. The cabinet seperated the buns by shelves. She reached for it, nearly gagging as Demon Saliva dripped to the floor. She examined it. It looked like the bottom bun to a hamburger. She placed it back in. Walking back behind the counter, she looked at the 3 cash-registers. Money was the first thing that came to her mind. She walked to the first cash register. She pushed a blue button and the bottom popped open. There was only about 3 dollars in it. Of course someone might have taken it before her, but she might as well have it if no one came to claim it. She pushed the bottom back in, and picked it up. It was heavier than she thought. She tried to use her injured arm, but it hurt for it to carry. She found the booth where she had taken the cushions out to use as a make-shift bed. She placed the cash register in the bottom of the booth, and did the same for the rest of the two. After both trips she had 10 dollars in total. Not that it had any use. In this world, money can't save you.

Yusuke glanced around, a faint growl forming in her throat. Something wasn't quite right. She gasped and ducked, having a cane swung at her.
"Ding-dang it all, Yusuke!" An elder man shouted. It was her employer, Argo. "I told you not to allow the demons a chance to lat-" he froze, sensing others. "Oh. You've met survivors, I see. There's another one in the diner there." He didn't look directly at her, and his pale, hazed pupils were visible. But, he pointed in the direction of the diner. "You should check it out. I'll take the two to safety."
She sighed. "Yes sir..."
He bopped her on the head with the cane. "Don't dottle. Go."
She rubbed the top of her head. "Fine, fine...! I'm going..." She walked towards the diner and jumped in through the window. Her steel-toed boots crushed the glass under her feet.

Sapphire gasped as she heard the identifiable sound of glass crunching. She glanced around, then seeing a pale human, with...red eyes? Confusion overtook her, then a mix of fear and defending her make-shift home overtook her. She took out her cross, but hid it in her palm. She kept on glancing at the bloody Katana. She couldn't fully see the warrior, as a broken wooden pole blocked out part of the warrior's body. Sapphire's blue-black hair was slightly wet from the rain, and a bit messy. Her white robe had a bit of blood on it, as well as dirt. Her right arm was scratched and a bit bloody.

"Geez... Argo may be blind, but he knows more than I do..." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. She growled faintly, sensing a certain miasma about the place...
She ducked, and a demon flew over her and skidded to a stop in front of her, then turned. It screeched. She scoffed faintly. "Annoying..." She riled her blade through its head once it charged at her, making it thrash around a bit. "Shut up... I have a head ache..." She growled again, pulling the blade back and cutting its head in half from the center to its nose.

Zorro raised a brow at the two, confusion overtaking her. Slayers. What were they? Keeping those questions to herself, she turned to the old man who had suddenly appeared from nowhere. She shifted slightly, noticing how the old man- Argo, was it? - had hazes over eyes. He was blind. Without saying a word, she glanced between Argo and the other slayer, not exactly sure what to do. It certainly felt safer ith them, she supposed.

Argo coughed faintly. "Knowing her, she'll take a while." He sighed, tapping his cane against the rubble to his left. "Come along you two, she'll follow soon. I'm not one to enjoy being eaten." He began walking towards the old library.

Zorro nodded and followed after the man, stealing a small glance at the other slayer as she did so. Her hands went into her pockets, tempted to just puLl the hood over her head for no reason at all.

Argo poked one of the lion statues with his cane to see if they were at the library ruins. "Surprisingly enough, the books in this library have survived for many years. From Stephen King's first, to the newer age of authors."

Zamora stared at the man who approached, her teal gaze resting over him harshly. She didn't particularly like him- he was blind, which made him a prime target for demons. Although... he did seem to be able to take care of himself, especially since he'd been able to survive this long. As she neared the library, she tensed up, peering around. There was someone else there, that much was certain. Whether they had any ill intent or not, though, was up in the air. Her left hand clenched around the faint red dagger as she glanced up at the lion.
"Really? I like books," she stated plainly. "When I was younger, my mother always read to me. It was from a big book of fairy tales, about knights saving princesses from the throes of evil." A dry laugh escaped her. "Guess that came to life now, huh?"

Argo chuckled faintly. "You could say that. The world has stopped turning for this city, I'm afraid." He placed a foot on a fallen pillar and began walking across it until he came to the opening in the ceiling. "You won't have to worry here. I'm not like the so-called mayor, I'll share the protection of my angels."

Sapphire slowly made her way to the kitchen, speeding up seeing the slayer distracted by a demon. She lepted over the counter, but her foot caught on the corner and she landed, square on her injured arm. She let out a yelp of pain. but tried to cover her mouth. Hoping the slayer didn't slay other humans, she crawled into a cabinet below the counter. Sapphire was a bit too big, but she could fit. Her arm was bleeding again.

Assuming she was no harm, Sapphire crawled out, standing up behind the slayer, "If I had known I would have cleaned it up." (Short DDX)

She shrugged. "You're a survivor too, I see." She sighed faintly. "If we stay here, the demons will only find us. I know you don't know me, but you have to trust me enough to take you to a safer place."

Sapphire wanted to tell the person about her cross, but she decided to stay silent, "Alright. Where will you take me?" She walked over to the slayer, hiding her cross. Her arm wasn't bleeding, but it still hurt to move it.

"There's an old library on the edge of the city." She said, hopping down from the stove and landing on her feet. Then, she opened the back door of the kitchen and pointed out the large building with the sheath of her katana. It looked like the Taj Mahal in India.

"I can see that," Zamora sighed, looking out over the skeletons of buildings that once stood, tall and proud. In the distance, almost invisible, the mayor's home stood, a heavenly glow surrounding it. Angrily, she shot her right hand out, promptly flipping off the building. "Screw you, your family, and your angels," she muttered, scowling.
Her gaze flickered down at a door that swung open and she tensed, preparing to grab her daggers. However, she quickly realized that it was, in fact, only Yusuke and... wait, who was that? She pulled out her blades, maneuvered around Zorro, and slid down the pillar. scowling.

Zorro started at the sudden movement, but relaxed. She watched curiously at Zamora's actions, head cocked, but decided not to question. She merely shoves her hands in her pockets again, strangely quiet as she waits.

Argo chuckled as he found his way to the librarian's desk. "Yusuke's found another survivor. Good." He stretched then sat down.

Faintly hearing the man, Zamora cocked an eyebrow. How did he know that she'd found a survivor when he couldn't see and when the pair were out of earshot? Regardless, she scaled the pillar again, leaping down into the library.
"How long have you been staying here?" She asked, her gaze trailing over the accumulation of dust on the spines of books. Stephen King here, James Patterson there... she had read many of these books when she was younger. She sighed, pulling a book out and flipping through the pages, sending up a tiny dust cloud.

"I've been here since I was young. My mother owned this place way back, and it was my home when I got lost. However, I'm afraid it's seen better days." he chuckled, flipping through an older book with his thin, long, boney fingers.
