That is amazing. o_o How can I choose which part is my favorite of the body? I really love the preset there!
How long did this take and what did you use to make this? I must know...
Keep up the amazing work! I have been completely amazed.
-
That's a really cool preset! I especially like the design on her rump. :3
-
@Hugrf - took about three hours to make, I use GIMP 2.0 c: and Thanks!
@Gravitation - Thank you! It's Japanese kanji for 'music'.
-
Wow! Those detailed markings and that mane,pawsthey areso cool. Good job floof. :)
GIMP is easy to use prefer that btw.
EpicWolfie over and out to the howl...
-
@EpicWolfie - Thank you floof! GIMP is totally the best. ;3
-
What a fantastic preset! I love the colors and the character looks quite unique. I'd love to hear a story behind this one. Wonderful work Ginger :3!
-
@LordSuragaha - Wow, thank you so much! I'll probably be posting some info soon, as he's not quite fully developed. Again, thanks!
-
Bumping for the new one. ;3
-
My pleasure. Yeah I saw tutorial videos on map making and preset making and they use GIMP. Looks cool. Looking forward for more presets, maybe stories about them. ;)Have fun!
EpicWolfie over and out to the howl...
-
Very nice presets. I was wondering how you get the markings on her too look so good? I try to make those lines but they come out looking weird. I use gimp 2.8 if you could tell me how to make good designs without messing up it'd be appreciated. Thankies :3
-
@EpicWolfie - Of course! You too.
@Amy Shook - Which parts are you having troubles with? I use GIMP 2.6 and if you can specify where you need help, I'd be very happy to help! :3
-
The lines like on her rump, legs and face. Id love to be able to make good lines like that. Mainly any kind of makings that look co on presets ^^
-
Sorry on my iPod. It messed up words lol can you do realistic looking scars? I always fail at that
-
You'll want to start with the masks from your textures folder, such as 'cbodyshade.JPEG' , 'fbodyshade.JPEG' and so on. On a separate layer you'll have your UV lines (found in the 'references' folder).
Here's a quick and basic idea for the stripes on the bum and legs:
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089753601000.jpg)
It'll look like this in-game:
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089727110400.png)
As for the face, same principle:
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089779132800.jpg)
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089766764300.png)
Realistic scars are rather time consuming if you want a lot of them, but I suggest looking up makeup tip sites to get the general idea for colours and textures. Perhaps even looking online for various types of injuries (if you're not too squeamish, I am so I use the makeup tut ones). Remember- practice makes perfect, and never get mad at yourself. Hope it helps, hun!

Rather small update, but a sneak peek of a preset I'm working on:
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089765778500.png)
That's right, I'm working with transparency again. Watch out!
-
ANOTHER UPDATE on the unfinished zombie hellhound.
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130819C/ezimba16089760922100.png)
Now missing lower jaw, I'll be fixing the bugs tomorrow. I've also decided to name her Maya.
-
So would I go to my textures folder and get the referenc? Or would I draw them on? And also I love the missing jaw. If you wouldn't mind would you send me a code for it? If you can't that's fine. Thanks! ^^ If you work on other missing parts I'd like to star working on that if you wouldn't mind sharing the codes and instructions on how to do them. Thankies floof^^ it'd be much appreciated
-
Also lol would I be able to move the stripes?
-
Sure you can move the stripes! Just use your reference and you'll be good! Remember, trial and error is the best way to learn. ;3
Of course! The code for transparency is simple. You'll just add 'alpha_rejection greater_equal 128' on the line above 'texture_unit'. Like so:
material preset_#_headMatL
{
technique
{
pass
{
alpha_rejection greater_equal 128
texture_unit
{
texture preset_#head.png
}
}
}
}
And of course change the file names and code file names to .PNG rather than JPEG. Hope it's helpful!
EDIT: Missed part of your post; the references (if it's the UVs you're referring to) are in the FeralHeart>my_presets>references folder, along with instructions. c:

All I'm posting is previews of Maya today, I'd love to see you ingame today, as I'll be playing her!

-
These presets are so pretty! Good work on them. ^3^
-
@Nightingale - Aw, you're too sweet. Your presets are absolutely gorgeous, I don't know what you're saying!
@Sherlockian - Thank you, floof! ;3
-
Thanks. Oh! And how would I make the head like that? Just erase part of the head? Thanks for your help. I'll take a shot of this page with meh iPod lol and I'll try when I can. Thanks!
-
Yep! Though I'd prefer if you didn't reference too much off Maya's design. It's just a deal of erasing and coding!
-
Good job on these presets, I love them all, so awesome You're really good at making these :3
-
Oh I won't reference off of her. Lol too much I'll try the best I can. I mainly like an eye missing or an ear. No worries and I'll come to you if I have a question thanks for your help!
-
@Shenidan - Thank you a bunch! It means a lot.
@Amy Shook - OK! Good luck ;3
-
@Nightingale - Aw, you're too sweet. Your presets are absolutely gorgeous, I don't know what you're saying!
I know only the basics though XD, you're capable of much more than me :3 floooof <3
and pictures? :D
-
The pictures are in the screenshots section! ;3
-
<3!!
-
Kanji! Do you actually know some? I love dat kanji. Nice mane, eyes too. As for the second one I like the mane as well.
-
I do know a bit of kanji, yep!
Thanks for the compliments, floof :3
-
You do very detailed presets Ginger! I love them!
-
Hey ginger! For the stripes in the reference. Did you draw your own? If so how did you? I don't have to much of a steady hand lol. I'd appreciate if you could help me out again. I've tried transparency and it turned out good. By the way do you know how you would make a blind eye on a preset? Thankies
-
@EpicWolfie - Thanks! :3 (I like your sig btw)
@Amy Shook - I did draw them! I use a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet, along with Gimp 2.6. Blind eyes, I haven't tried them! I'd just say go for a cloudier look.
-
I just want to clarify that your profile picture ACTUALLY reminded me of PewDiePie. Ya know, the headphones and the "pew pew pew". Very Epic!
(Thanks about the siggy coment :) )
-
Oh lol, just realized the black ears do look like headphones!
You're welcome. ;3
-
Oh they aren't headphones? You should put headphones on that preset. It'll make it more cool. Its cool already! Woah! Wooooahhhh! :D
-
Maybe I'll put the items on! Hey, maybe I'll catch you ingame today?
-
Hey ginger it's me again! Lol I was wondering if I could have your help. You see I've noticed on some presets peoe have made me just color the preset one color, not worrying about having to color it over and over. I know they use like a layer or something then color it and they are done. I have to color it in a few times. I'd just like to know how to do that, just to color it once over the head body and stuff just once and not having to do it over and over. I use gimp 2.8 screenies and step by step instructions would be helpful. Thanks!!
-
I'm impressed. Both presets are very well done and I have to admit, I admire your preset-making skills. Keep up the great work, Ginger. I like the way you added that Chinese symbol on that first preset by the way. Nicely added.
-
heya, still doing great as always i see :3
-
heya ginger, do you think you could teach me how to make a map? >.< i know how to customize one with items but i don't get how you can change the landscape...
-
You use terrain maps (JPEG, Greyscale mode). Can be any size I believe, you type in the name of the image file in the Height Map slot. ;3 Play around with them!
-
UPDATE, new preset!
(http://www.ezimba.com/work/130902C/ezimba14450856329200.png)
Working on a deer fawn! ;3 Tell me what you think.
