(Tundra)
Snow fell lightly to the ground, drifting through the frosted pine leaves, the birds that flittered through the branches the cause of it. A nearly invisible vixen lay crouched at the foot of the tree. Her plume of a tail waving side to side, creating a shallow pivot in the blanket of snow. Her two orbs were fixated on a hole, just at the base of the tree. Slowly the vixen reached toward the hole, her black nose sniffing the entrance for a trace of prey. Unfortunately, the only scent there, one of a vole, was stale, at least three days old. "????!" Tundra growled, her stomach joining in with a growl of it's own. The vixen stood, turning her head round', looking for any source of food. Her head turned right, then left. The right led deeper into the forest, and the left led to a river. Grumbling to herself Tundra turned left and stalked toward the partially frozen river.
Reaching the river, the small fox stared into the water, hoping for a fish to appear. Luck apparently wasn't on Tundra's side as none made an appearance, though maybe she wouldn't need to. Across the way, at most a half a mile from the river, a bear was feasting upon a calf. From the distance Tundra was she couldn't make the animals out, but she was able to see one shape eating another. Her stomach growled as if on cue, and the little fox licked her lips. Slowly she placed one paw on the ice, testing her weight, it held. Cautiously the vixen inched her way to the other side, loosing her footing every other step.
Upon reaching the shore, Tundra could not contain her excitement for food. "??! ??!" She cried out softly as she bounded across the snow. A yard or two before reaching what Tundra could now see to be Bear feasting upon a calf, the little fox came to a deeper snow drift then what she had been bounding on. As her two front paws landed on the snow, they sunk in followed by the rest of her. Never being in this situation before, the vixen started to panic. "??????! ???-??????, ???????????!" Tundra shouted, pawing at the sides of the hole she was now trapped in.

Upon seeing the way out, the vixen bolted out of the pocket of snow. She almost jumped at joy of the miracle that was her freedom, when Tundra noticed the wolf pup. Acknowledging the fact that the puppy must of dug her out Tundra opened her muzzle to speak. "??????." She said, not knowing the english term.
