Bonestar walked of his rock den. Snow covered the ground like a blanket. The clan was huddled in small groups, trying to save what warmth they had. Despite the majority of them being thick-coated to suit the harsh leaf-bare, they still were cold. At first he had trouble spotting them, as most of them were light grey, or white.
Bonestar's clan, Freezeclan, was named appropriately. Every leaf-bare, they got the worst of it. Cats in Freezeclan were born with thick white coats, which helped them hunt and camouflauge in the snow. A hunting patrol trotted into the camp. Bonestar rushed over to inspect their prey. Only one bird and one rabbit. He sighed, "Good job you all. This leaf-bare is hard, as always, go put it in the prey-pile and get some rest." He walked to the prey pile. Only the bird and rabbit, and then two more birds. He smiled at the prey. Even though it was so little, they had prey.

The leaves rustled as Lightflower dashed through the underbrush. Her yellow eyes filled with wonder and happiness as she felt the familiar rush of the wind. She leaped onto a tree and scurried up it. Like a monkey, the pale orange she-cat lept from branch to branch, her claws digging into the bark for support, them letting go to glide onto the next branch. She saw a bird preening on a branch. "Perfect." She mumbled. With a howl, Lightflower clamped down on the bird.

(Welcome ^^ and just a little announcement, it is currently Leaf-Bare/Winter. I will add the weather, season, and time later)
"Come on, Owlpaw. Just a few more. Remember the twist!" Tigerroar mewed up to Owlpaw, who was in a tree, practicing jumping from branch to branch. Owlpaw fastened her claws into the branch, and launched herself upward, twisting in midair, using a branch between her and her goal as a footstep and leaping off of it, then landed on the branch, but slipped a bit. Tigerroar nodded in approval, "Nice job, Owlpaw! But remember to even your balance when you land, because if you keep on slipping, the enemy will grab your foot and pull you down." Owlpaw smiled, "Alright." She made her way back down to her original branch. Tigerroar blinked, "Go!" Owlpaw launched herself off the branch, twisted and landed on the second branch, and quickly launched herself into the last branch. Tigerroar smiled, "Nice! You will be ready for your assessment anytime soon! Now get down here and let's get home!" Owlpaw started to make her way down, leaping onto light branches and quickly landing on her feet on the ground. She and Tigerroar made it back to camp, a clearing surrounded by trees so tight together, only the skinniest cats can wriggle through. Owlpaw dashed to the apprentices den, a hole covered with a bush on the top to prevent rain and snow, to tel lthe apprentices that she was nearly ready for assessment. Tigerroar walked to the Leader's Den, "I think Owlpaw is ready for her assessments."
Fortis walked into his den, a hawk dangling from his mouth. A few days ago Cardinalfeather (Hope you like the name DX) from Cliffclan had come for his nine lives. Since the clans did not have a Moonstone or Pool, they came to visit him for nine lives, same with the medicine cats. He dropped the hawk and began to feast on it.

With a purr of satisfaction, Lightflower picked her kill up in her jaws. She gracefully lept from branch to branch. She jumped down from the tree onto the forest floor below. With a flick of her tail, the pale orange cat began trotting off towards the food pile. The thin sheet of snow crunched beneath her paws, leaving little paw prints. It was leaf-bare, so the large canopy of trees was empty of any green. Surprisingly enough, there wasn't a whole lot of snow, in Lightflower's opinion.
When she reached the food pile, she waited for te other warriors to drop off their prey before dropping her bird in herself. The she-cat licked some snow off her muzzle before turning to leave. She casually trotted through the camp. She noticed the apprentices den, and smiled to herself. She was fond of the apprentices, remembering when she too was an apprentice. "Ah, the, "Lightpaw," days." She mumbled to herself.

Cardinalstar walked along a rocky ridge. The wind carried the scents of the other clans to him as he looked down at their territories. All of them lined up with Fathomir's realm standing before them. Blinking owlishly he trudged on again. The clan will fend fine without him for at least a day.
His paws pressed down the snow under them and the dead brown grass.Turning his head thick with long fur and looked at the few trees that lined the cliffs. Vineclan's territory held most of the trees. Snorting he didn't know how they cope without the blinking souls of Starclan forever watching over them.
The large cat thought back to the time when he had seen Fathomir. It had taken his breath away at the massive cat. Age and wisdom was held behind those green and blue eyes. When the cat had gotten him into the trance of sleep Cardinalstar remembered some of the cats before him, most held a dark glow around them while only a few had been blessed by the shine of Starclan. Cardinalstar did not know what was to come with this. He knew none of the cats that stood before him.
His mind now turning back to the real world a crow was perched up in the branches of a thin, lone tree. It seemed old and wise. As it called Cardinalstar dipped his head in respect to it.

Appearance: SnowBreeze has snow white medium length fur and two different colored eyes, her right one is Blue while the other is green. She is usually very slender and flexible but due to her pregnancy she is round and not as flexible.
Personality: Snow is very gentle and kind to her clan but she is very hostile and aggressive when it come to strangers and other clans. SnowBreeze is also very loyal and friendly so she will make a great friend and always have your back.

(New Freezeclan cat ^^ Bonestar can be the kit's father)
Bonestar returned from a short hunt he had taken. He had only one scrawny rabbit. But it was better than nothing. He placed it in the prey pile. He then looked in the pile, and took a skinny blackbird to the nursery. He found Snowbreeze, his mate. Her round belly indicated that his kit's would be here any day now. He dropped the bird, "Here, Snowbreeze." He nudged it to her, "You need to eat. Leaf-bare is always hard on us, but with you having kits any day now, you need strength."

SnowBreeze walked outside of the nursery, she could feel her kits moving around and it was making her quite uncomfortable. She watched as some of the warriors left the camp to go on their hunts and patrols, she missed doing that. She flicked her tail when Bonestar walked up to her with a small blackbird in his mouth "Thank you." she purred as she grabbed it in her small jaws and began to eat it. The cold air tried to nip at her but luckily her coat was thick enough to keep it at bay. "Has anything interesting happened?" she asked as she finished her meal. Ever since she became pregnant she has been out of the loop. She got up and licked his ear, any day now their kits would come into this cold world.

With a yawn, Lightflower sat down and began licking the snow off her paws. She glanced up at the leader's den. Tigerroar, a fellow clanmate, was walking into the den. She guessed he had some news. That was nice. Nothing interesting had happened lately. Maybe they'd get a new warrior. Whatever it was, she hoped it was exciting. The she cat finished licking the snow off her paws and sat up. She lept back into a tree, a wide smile spreading over her muzzle. She lept back and forth from branch to branch.

IC: Berrysplash walked into camp with a bundle of cobwebs in her maw. She trotted over to the medicine-cat den and sat down her herbs. "Hmmm..." She tilted her head at her unorganized herbs. She shook her head and began sorting everything out. Once she was done she walked over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a plump mouse, she then padded to the entrance of her den and began to eat it slowly.

Appearance: A small, white and brown cat with a powder pink nose, opaque whiskers, teal eyes and black rims around her eyes and tail.
Persnonality: Preserved and serene, a perfect peace-keeper. 'Angelic', as some might call her.
Clan: Freezeclan
Other: She wears a chain-linked collar around her neck, making the fur around her neck fall off. She's not able to get the collar off. It's not known how she got it in the first place.

Moving on past the dark bird Cardinalstar moved into some dead bushes, frozen long ago in some blizzard. Nothing seemed to be moving about currently, including prey. All the thickly furred 'coon could scent was that of cold and frozen dead leaves under the snow.

Tigerroar told the leader about Owlpaw's Assessments. He had told him a cat would work with her. He looked around the camp, and decided on what cat. He walked over to Lightflower, and sat down beside her, "Hi Lightflower. I was wondering if you could accompany me in Owlpaw's Assessments. I need some cat to battle with her and chase her during Tree Climbing."

Flicking his long tail Cardinalstar pressed himself deeper into the bushes. The crackled and snapped in protest to him. Narrowing his eyes against the sharp thin stems he finally made it to the other side where the thin forest continued with the same amazing look over the territories. It may be a fantastic sight to a cat from another clan but Cardinalstar, knowing it for most of his life it didn't seem as interesting.

Berrysplash finished up her prey beofre looking around the camp. She stood up and padded into the medine den. She sat down and looked at her now organized herbs. She began to think. 'Well I'll need some more poppy seeds.' She thought to herself as she walked back out of the den. She soon began padding out of the camp to get what she needed.

SnowBreeze huffed, she would love to be able to go to the gathering but she couldn't. She shivered slightly when a snowflake landed on her light pink nose. She stood up "I'm going back into the nursery, I'll see you soon." she smiled as she crawled though the small opening. Once inside she walked to her nest and laid down, she felt a little odd. She stood up and began to move the nesting materials around with her front paws. She laid down again and rustled around, trying to get comfortable. SnowBreeze winced when a small pain shot through her abdomen "Oakfeather." she called to the she-cat who was keeping an eye on the queens. Oakfeather padded over with a look of concern on her face "Yes, SnowBreeze?" Oakfeather looked over her "Are they coming right now?" SnowBreeze nodded her head. Oakfeather's eyes widened as she rushed around, grabbing various things that she might need. SnowBreeeze laid on her side, her kits were coming. They were coming into this cold world that was dangerous, but she knew they would be safe here.
An hour later three healthy plump kits were nuzzled against her stomach. The only male was solid white while his two sisters were white with light brown spots all over their bodies. SnowBreeze purred loudly as she licked them "I'll get Bonestar." Oakfeather said as she left the nursery. SnowBreeze curled her tail around her bundles and waited for their father to arrive.

The Maine coon angora mix glanced down to a slope that led down to Vineclan territory. He knew he'd have to cross it in order to reach the gathering and with the recent snow it's best to look for a safe path across. Trotting down the slope some sharp pebbles skittered down the steep ground as Cardinalstar slid down it. Sitting down he licked some snow off his paw. It tasted dusty but cold as it slid over his tongue and into his stomach. Many fox-lengths away lay Vineclan. Sniffing, Cardinalstar started to walk over to the border but with no intention to cross it.

Fortis Animam finished the hawk, licking his lips and burying the remains. He looked up at the sun, which was beginning to set. There would be a Gathering tonight. He didn't attend them, as he might get mobbed by eager apprentices who might beg for stories. Fortis walked over to a small river that ran down from the mountains North of Fathomir, and started to lap up the cold water.

Once she gathered what she neede she began her path back to camp. She went into the medicine den and sat down the poppy seeds then padded out of the den to find Bonestar. Once she found him she began to eak. "When are we leaving for the gathering?" She asked him sitting down.

Laceshard stood on the edge of the clearing, just finishing her thrush before padding over to the nursery. Plopping down next to the queen, she placed her tail over the young male, snickering. "They're adorable!" The white cat exlaimed, licking the top of Snowbreeze's ears. "What are you going to call them?" She asked, licking her nose with a purr of delight before swivelling her head around to Bonestar. "Yes, when may we leave for the Gathering?" She purred with a flick of her tail, still sitting with the white queen.

She turned her attention to te she-cat. "Oh J see you have had your kits." She mewed. "How are you feeling though?" She asked her.

Lightflower saw Tigerroar sit next to her. "I'd love to help you with Owlpaw. I think it would be good experience for her." She said with a small nod. The pale orange she-cat gave a small smile. She'd never really done stuff like this before. "She seems to be doing well. I'd be honored to help her improve."

The large tom's nose detected a slight scent, not too old. Maybe it was a patrol route. Cardinalstar's green eyes continued to peer off into the forest, looking for the flicker of another cat within it's depths. Slowly moving on he continued along the border. Noticing his clan's scent was a little stale on their side of the border he marked it. Cardinalstar didn't fully trust VineClan. He had once caught their scent on his side of the border.

Bonestar heard tiny mewling coming from the nursery. His eyes widened and he ran over, making his way into the nursery. He pushed aside the gathering question, and looked at each of the three kits. He purred and licked Snowbreeze's head, "They are wonderful... " He licked each one of them about four times, "We can name that little she cat.. um.. How about Frostykit. And her sister and be Snowykit." He looked at the tom. He didn't have a name for him yet. He sat up, "They are gorgeous." Bonestar smiled at Snowbreeze and purred loudly. He then looked at the other warriors with him, "The gathering? Oh! We will go. I am so sorry Snowbreeze." He licked her ear, "You can go to the gathering next time, I am sure Oakfeather will watch them." He had a bit of sorrow in his eyes as he left the nursery. He headed to the entrance. Bonestar started to organize warriors and apprentices to come, as well as the medicine cat. But he made the medicine cat apprentice stay incase Snowbreeze needed it. He dashed off towards gathering place, a bunch of warriors and a few apprentices following him.

She followed behind the leader as he trudged off. She looked back to make sure her apprentice was in sight of the new queen. Berrysplash ran faster to match Bonestars pace.

Laceshard
Laceshard was one of the few cats thundering after Bonestar, brushing up against his side as she stared towars the Gathering area. Many cats gathered below, their silhouettes moving restlessly across the moonlit clearing. She flexed her shoulders, blue eyes shining with anticipation.

As moonlight lit the forest Cardinalstar cautiously slipped into the dark territory of Vineclan. Most of Cliffclan was too weak to make the trek to the gathering place. Cardinalstar knew he was trespassing into enemy grounds but he was one cat and surely he wouldn't be noticed. Emerging from the Vineclan trees the striped brown tom changed his course so it wouldn't look like he took a short-cut through Vineclan territory. Seeing Bonestar's pale patrol in the distance Cardinalstar felt a little unnerved, they could easily overrun and strip him of his nine lives. Quickening his pace he longed to get to the safely of the gathering place rather than open fields.

Tigerroar smiled, "Thank you." He got Owlpaw, "Let's go. We are going to the gathering." Owlpaw jumped up, "Really?!" She smiled, "Oh! Thank you.." She smiled at him, then followed him to the patrol, then they left for the gathering place.

Once they made it Freezeclan was already there. The gathering place was made up of a large ditch in the ground, with a rock in the middle. The Vineclan leader leapt onto the rock. Tigerroar muttered, "Where is Waterclan...?" Just a few heartbeats after saying it, thick coated drenched cats ran into the clearing.

upon arriving of the gathering hollow Cardinalstar trotted over to where the other leaders gathered. WaterClan had seemed to be running late but was relieved when the arrived at the edge of the hollow, their sleek pale pelts entered the hollow and covering it like an avalanche. They mixed in with the other clans, except his clan. They were the only ones absent. Greencough had spread through his camp like wildfire in a woodland full of brittle, dry trees. Cardinalstar didn't plan on mentioning it.

Fortis Animam climbed his rockcave, until he was a good 50 feet into the air. He could see the gathering place, along with the clans. But from the distace and height the clans couldn't see him. He watched as Freezeclan arrived, then Waterclan. He curled his tail around his spotted paws, and watched.

Tigerroar and Owlpaw joined the crowds of cats. Before Owlpaw could wander off he turned to her, "Now Owlpaw, do NOT give away ANY clan secrets! No matter what any cat says." Owlpaw nodded quickly, and dashed off to a group of Freezeclan and Waterclan apprentices, who were telling overexaggerating stories. Tigerroar looked through the crowd, but he didn't see any Cliffclan cat. He grunted, but just groomed his pelt.

Lightflower arrived with her clan. She sat down next to Tigerroar. She gave her paw a lick before setting it down. Her eyes gazed at all the clans. The warriors, the apprentices, everybody was there. She glanced at Tigerroar. He was grooming his pelt. She thought she should start a conversation. "So, has Owlpaw been doing well with her assessments?"

Appearance: A black cat, large for her age, with light blue eyes. Has a strange Lightning mark on her cheek, a blue- gray color
Personality: Seems like a serious type, but can be pretty laid back. She can be shy at times, and trys to help other cats. She doesn't like being with a big group of cats, but has gotten used to Vineclan. In battle, she'll risk her pelt for someone else. For her to snap at you is a little rare, and she normally stays around cats she trusts the most and talks to them the most. She describes herself as, "I am a shadow, and you do not see nor hear me."

SnowBreeze answered their many questions with a smile on her face. When Bonestar arrived she let out a purr "Those are beautiful names." She looked at the tom, who was solid white "How about Icekit." she mewed as she licked her only son. She raised her head when the gathering was brought up "Oh, it's fine. There is always next time." she smiled as she licked Bonestar's nose "Go on, but be careful." She watched the group leave then laid her head down to get some rest.

I was readingthe calvary mountain RP posts before I auditioned and noticed some girl wanting you to post i believe. Oh and to catch you up I guess, I'm tresspassing on your territory right now and i'm in a fight with jericho. lol))
Gorsestar took his place next to the other leaders. He shifted his gaze through all kf the cats, including his own clan. He lookex over at the others waiting for one of them to begin.
Feathertail sat with her fluffy tail layed neatly on her paws. She gazed up at all the leaders noticing no one had even begun to speak. She sighed and lowered herself down on her belly her front paws thcked under her.

Lightningpaw's light blue eyes widen a little as she gazed at all the clan cats. She stayed near the scent of Vineclan, not really sure where else to go. She had heard the clans gather to speak about borders, new warriors and kits and apprentices. Will he mention an outsider like me joining the clan cats? She shifted her gaze to the four leaders. Gorsestar was her leader, but she was still learning the other clan leaders names. B...b...Bonestar, I think and.... She tried to remember the names. Giving up, she watched cats chatting about pretty much anything and everything it seemed.

Cardinalstar shook his large fluffy pelt. The leaders were conversing, some sat quietly waiting for the gathering to begin. As silver moonshine glazed over the gathering of clans Cardinalstar began to get a little impatient. "Shall we begin the gathering?" he asked, his green eyes looking at the other leaders.

Lightningpaw's gaze was on the moon. She began wondering when the gathering will start. She looked back at the leaders, and noticed one of them saying something. She dug though her mind to find out what cat it was. Trying her best to sort the smells, she found out he was a Cliffclan cat. I thought he looked different. She studied the clan leader a little bit more. Oh! He was the deputy of Cliffclan before I was here. Is the leader sick? After a few more moments of remembering what some Vineclan cats told her, she concluded that the old leader must've died. She was told he lived for a long time, and he was sickly because he was getting old. He must be Cardinalstar now. "Cardinalstar must be proud." She meowed to herself.

Gorsestar looked over at the other leaders telling one of them to start.

Bonestar yowled, "Let the gathering begin!" He looked at the other leaders, "I will begin." Bonestar stepped forward, "Freezeclan is doing great, despite leaf-bare. We have three new kits, and one new apprentice, Plantpaw. We are trying our best to survive." Cats below him cheered, "Plantpaw! Plantpaw!" He stepped back, nodded to Gorsestar he should go.
(BTW, Plantpaw can be NPC unless someone applies for him.)

Cardinalstar's eyes narrowed when Bonestar stepped ahead of him ignoring his suggestion. As Gorsestar stepped up to speak next Cardinalstar's tail flickered. It kind of irritated him that other clans thought they were so bold. Looking down at the apprentice known as Plantpaw he stared at him until the cheering had stopped.
Is Cliffclan sort of like a Shadowclan? :3))

(Well I never really thought about that, but I guess Freezeclan is like Windclan, Waterclan like Riverclan, Vineclan like thunderclan, and Cliffclan can be like Shadowclan.)

He nodded and stepped forward. "Thank you Bonestar. VineClan is doing well. We have 2 new kits and plenty of apprentices. We have been smelling CliffClan cats across our border. So just so you cats know, I will not tolerate and if we catch you on our territory I give my warriors permission to attack on sight." He mewed. "But other than that, leaf-bare has brought many burdains. We can survive through this even though food can be scarce." Gorsestar stepped back and sat down looking over at the other two leaders.

Stepping forward to speak, Cardinalstar didn't intend to give away any weakness. "Cliffclan is doing well, our prey is scarce, as usual for leaf-bare. As of us straying near the border Gorsestar, no cats of mine that I know of would ever cross into another clan's border unless they are provoking it." he lied. "The absence of my clan isn't a matter to others." Cardinalstar finished his speech and waited for the next leader to speak.

Lightningpaw listened quietly to the leaders. Her ear twitched slightly as Gorsestar didn't mention her name. I rather be unknown for now, because they won't expect me. She decided. Lightningpaw acted calm as she listened to Cardinalstar, but she blinked a little. I don't recall smelling Cliffclan in are territory. Well, I haven't seen the whole territory... Lightningpaw glanced at a Freezeclan apprentice who's chest was puffed out. Bonestar had said his name was Plantpaw. "He sure looks bold." She muttered. She returned her gaze to the leaders, waiting for the last report.

Lightstep paid close attend to all the leaders, her tail neatly wrapped around her paws. She remained respectful and quite, despite any reaction either of these cats would make. She just wanted to remain on everyone's good side, so the she-cat always remained quite, soft-spoken.

Fortis Animam watched the gathering. He could hear mewing but couldn't make the words out exactly. Suddenly yowling pierced his spotted ears. Probably a new apprentice or warrior being named. He leapt off the cave, and walked into it. He curled up on a piece of moss and went to sleep.

Lightningpaw's tail swished on the ground. She flicked her paw and began licking the pad of it. She suddenly remembered what some Vineclan cats told her. Let see, the black-and-white tom is Bonestar of Freezeclan, and Cardinalstar of Cliffclan, Weedstar of Waterclan, and of course Gorsestar of Vineclan. Bonestar had a mate named S..Snowbreeze, I think. Lightningpaw thought she sensed something watching them, but it suddenly stopped. Is there something here I don't know of? She looked around, wondering what had been watching her. The clans. But it didn't seem like a threat. I'll ask when I get a chance. She decided.

Weedstar glanced around. Gorsestar seemed a little upset with Cardinalstar. Not that she didn't blame him, the tom was often lying of his clan's actions. Flicking her tail she stepping up to the speaking spot. "WaterClan is faring well. The ice has been thick over the rivers and ponds but my warriors will soon break through it so we can fish. All of our kits, eldrs and queens are well fed as well as our warriors and apprentices." Weedstar finished and walked back to her spot.
The large tom's tail flickered with annoyance. He disliked her as much has he hated a tick in the one spot where a cat couldn't reach. He knew his own warriors were suffering from sickness, but Weedstar had said they did have a fully stocked fresh kill pile. Maybe he could send a quick warrior out to spy on their camp to see if the dark she-cat was telling the truth. If it was he'd lead a small raiding party to steal their prey out from under their noses. The plan seemed eligible to try.

Gorsestar nodded and stepped forward once again. "The gathering is over. You have have a while tilk your clan leaves to socialize. Enjoy it." He said and flicked Cardinal star in the ear then made his way down the large fallen tree. He glanced behind him at Cardinalstar and grinned.

Lightstep
Lightstep actually felt a bit of relief go through her as she realized that she didn't really have to worry about that river if she ever encountered a Waterclan warrior. The girl then blinked, immediately feeling bad... as she realized this was bad for the cats, and the girl just glanced around again. Her eyes laid on Lightningpaw, blinking her eyes curiously at the apprentice as the cat looked around... and than she took her gaze back to the leaders, her stance going nice and proper again as she sat nice and straight. When the leader called that the announcements were over, she just glanced around, seeming a bit lost.

Runningleap
Runningleap sat with a sat at the gathering, being slightly near Lightstep who was always a kind cat at the gatherings. It didn't hurt to socialize a bit, right? After the serious matters of course. The tom's bored gaze went from cat to cat, sighing slightly as the Waterclan leader spoke, seeming like he would fall asleep any moment. Thank Starclan the announcements were over. His bi-colored gaze went from cat to cat, slightly laying on the siamese for a second, before forcing his gaze away.

As Gorsestar gave him a mocking grin Cardinalstar fixed him with a glare that would frighten even a noble StarClan cat. If WaterClan doesn't work out your's is the next target! he said silently in his head, still glaring at the other leader. Seeing as though no CliffClan cats had come to the gathering except one she-cat he flicked his tail for her to come. As they trotted back to the territory quickly Cardinalstar immediately started giving out orders upon his arrived at Cliffclan camp.
"Roosterglow." he called.
"Yes sir?" the she-cat rushed up.
"You are pretty fast right?"
Yes sir, I once outran an angry patrol of VinceClan warriors. They're waaay too slow even though the are considered the fastest cats of the clans." she grinned
"Good, I need you to search out Waterclan's camp, I need to know if their fresh-kill pile is actually as full as they say it is. Go a few hours before dawn, they'll be tired due to them being at the gathering. Their eyes will be dazed and they won't see you sniffing around. Don't venture too close, stay at the camp border."
"Yes sir." Roosterglow's paws tingled with excitement.
"Also, before you leave stop by the Medicine Cat den and see if she has any strengthening herbs to spare before you go. I suggest you go to your nest soon. You need to be sharp for this assignment." Cardinalstar recomended.

Gorsestar eyed the leader bot a slight bt afraid. He yowled calling his clan. He walked out of the gathering his clan behind him. As he arrived he glanced around to make sure everyone had come.

Lightningpaw felt a cat gaze at her a moment, but she pushed it away. She started looking around as cats got up and talked to each other. She decided to say hello to Plantpaw and tell him she was a new apprentice, too, but she heard Gorsestar call Vineclan. She bounded where the rest of her clan was heading; spotting Gorsestar. She blinked as she watched him. He seemed almost unnerved about something. She didn't dare say anything, mostly because she wasn't clan-born, and they wouldn't trust her. She waited patiently for Gorsestar to check everyone was here.

Lightstep
Lightstep blinked, watching as Gorsestar started to take the Vineclan cats off, and immediately started following. She felt the gaze of the one Cliffclan cat she knew, Runningleap, and just glanced back, giving a little sweet smile before bounding off after her clan. Upon arriving at camp, her orbs went over each cat, secretly checking herself if everyone was here with the leader. Her long tail was wrapped neatly around her paws and she sat down, nice and at attention. Silent as usual.

He nodded tohimself glad to see everyone was here. "Lightstep!" He yowled to the she-cat. "I would like to speak to you in my den." Hes aid and entered his den. Gorsestar curled his tail on his paws as he sat down and awaited Lightstep.

Weedstar motioned for her cats to leave, seeing as Cardinalstar and Gorsestar had already leader their cats out. Trotting up to Bonestar she dipped her head. "May leaf-bare be kind to you." she smiled and leaped off the rock. As her clan swept out of the hollow and she thought of her Cardinalstar spoke of his clan so boldly, but she smelled sickness on him. Not his own, but maybe a clan mate's. She was dealing with a situation of her own. She had to lie about the food pile not being full, he would have moved in a raid. As long as CliffClan didn't know the fresh-kill pile wasn't full they would hopefully not attack.

Lightstep slightly flinched in surprise, and made haste to go to the leader's den. She sat down, making sure to stay nice and respectful as she spoke with a slightly nervous smile. "Yes Gorsestar?" she asked gently, her voice nice and sweet, though still had that slightly anxious twinge to it.

He dipped his head in greeting. "I would like for you to spy on CliffClan. They are crossing our borders and I don't like it. You should leave before dawn. And stay on our side of the border. If you must you can cross it." He said to her. "Now go rest. You'll need it." He added and motioned her dismissal.

Lightstep
Lightstep nodded obediently, seeming a bit nervous, though her eyes shined with pride that she chose him for such a mission. "Of course, sir. Thank you." She said gently with a professional little nod. The girl lifted herself up with her skinny long legs, padding out of his den. Her eyes went over the cats once more, though she was smiling to herself now, almost a bit excited for tomorrow... The she-cat just made her way over the warriors den to relax, heading her leader's suggestion to rest up for her big mission.

Lightningpaw gazed around the camp a moment, and perked her ears as Gorsestar called Lightstep. She saw the she-cat happily padding to the warriors den. Most likely a mission about Cliffclan. She mused. She headed to the apprentices den and sat down outside of it, letting her tail go over her paws. She watched the clan cats talk to each other, telling the clanmates that didn't go what happened. After listening to how a few cats described what happened, she weaved between nests to hers. She had choose in the very back, where there where less likely to notice her black fur. She curled up and watched the other apprentices.

Tigerroar lead Owlpaw out of the gathering place.
He walked beside her, "Owlpaw I need to tell you something."
"What is it?"
"I am taking you to Fathomir tomorrow night."
"Really?!" Tigerroar nodded, and entered Vineclan Territory. The trees got more lush and a few vines snaked towards the ground.

Soon enough Tigerroar and Owlpaw made it back to camp. Owlpaw trotted towards the apprentices den, telling the ones who stayed she would tell them about it. Tigerroar went to the Warriors den and curled up. He was soon asleep.

Lightningpaw was still awake, and she could sense a apprentice's eagerness about something. She watched as Owlpaw, who also went to the gathering, come in with a lot of energy. What's gotten her so...happy? Lightningpaw watched Owlpaw for a moment before lifting her head up to see her better. "What's got you tail in a twist?" Lightningpaw meowed, a little wary since her clanmates still might not trust her. So she wasn't clan born? All cats have the right to be treated fairly. That didn't happen back at my home. A small shiver went though her at the thought.

Cardinalstar stalked around his camp. They desperately needed medicine for the greencough. The warrior's den now served as a larger medicine cat den and the cats who were healthy had to sleep outside the warm confines of the camp. Cliffclan's medicine cat and his apprentice worked hard each day. The apprentice was even training some of the younger warriors and apprentices the healing basics. They need to at least steal from WaterClan. Cardinalstar wasn't always like this, now even believing that StarClan has left them he had taken a few glances at the DarkForset for help and then they had told him was to target WaterClan. Of course he told no one this so there was no treachery in his clan.

Owlpaw smiled at Lightningpaw, "Tigerroar said he would take me to Fathomir tomorrow night! I get to see Fortis Animam himself!"
"No way!" An apprentice mewed.
Fortis suddenly got a tingling sense. His eyes clouded, and he stood up, walking to his pool. The pool was too tiny to use as a proper connection with Starclan, but it was a great Seer pool. A large brown tabby and a small apprentice where there. By their slender forms and strong legs they must be from Vineclan. He knew they would come to see him either tomorrow night or the night after. Another cat to put to sleep, but another cat to meet.

The sky began to darken as Gorsestar went into his den. He slid into his bedding and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Lightningpaw blinked. "Fathomir...Fortis Animam?" Lightningpaw felt annoyed that there was still something she didn't know. "What is it, and who's Fortis Animam?" She grumbled, but she couldn't hide that she was curious.

Owlpaw looked at her, "It's ok if you don't know him. Some cats have never been there. Well Fathomir is this place far north of the Gathering Place. Fortis Animam is a huge leopard that lives there and he speaks with Starclan! He puts cats to sleep and gives them their dreams! Tigerroar is taking me tomorrow night so he can show me my destiny!"

Lightningpaw relaxed, and listened until she was finished. "I've heard of lions and tigers, never a leopard," her tail twitched. "I wish I get to meet him soon. Then I'll know what a leopard and a tiger looks like." She blinked, and thought about Owlpaw wondering by what she ment 'and a tiger'. "Oh, my only sibling looked like a tiger. They called him Stripe." She meowed, hoping she wouldn't push her to speak more about her brother.

Lightningpaw's ear twitched, trying not to argue about how unfair that she was older, and she didn't have a mentor, and how sweet it must be to meet a leopard. "Well, I hope Gorsestar gives me a mentor soon," In a more wary, shy voice, she meowed quietly, "If he trusts a outsider like me." Blinking her blue eyes, she yawned. "Well, I'm as tired as those sleeping monsters. They can almost never wake up, even if you jump on them." Lightningpaw began recalling her old life. "One time, me and my friend, a cat named Clash, leaped onto a monster and jumped up and down. It never woke up!" A purr build up as she thought of her adventures with Clash and her brother, but was cut short as she yawned again.

Gorsestar yawned as the sun barely broke into the sky. He stepped out of his den and onto the highrock. "May all cats who can catch their own prey gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!" He yowled hopefully waking the cats and waiting for them to gather.

Lightningpaw awoke at a voice yowling. Her blue eyes blurred with sleep, so she blinked a few times before they cleared. She stood and stretched, and her paw went into a cat's side. "Watch it, you rouge!" The apprentice hissed. "Sorry." She muttered, trying to hide her anger. She hadn't been clan born, and the worstest insult was used from apprentices when she messed up - rouge. So I traveled here, not clan born. It's almost like being a blind cat that everyone looks down on! She stalked out into the clearing.

(Well the cats who didn't go to the gathering got some sleep, and were woken up by the cats returning)
Owlpaw stretched, hearing Gorsestar summoning the clan. She yawned. Owlpaw murmured to Lightningpaw, "That monster has no brains then." She giggled at the thought, then walked out into the clearing.
The warriors around Tigerroar stirred, and left for the clearning. Tigerroar gave his pelt a quick grooming, then walked out.

Lightningpaw flicked an ear at Owlpaw. "I know, right? They may seem big and dangerous, but if you watch em' long enough, you'll know when they wake up, when there asleep, and stuff like that. That is, if you live as a kittypet or rouge." Her eyes darken at the last statement. She quickly shook it off, she didn't want Owlpaw thinking that would get in her way of clan life. She tilted her head upwards toward Gorsestar. "What does he want to ask at such an earlier hour?" She sat down, her tail curled over her paws. She noticed most apprentices giving glares at her, and had scooted away some. Her ears went back slightly. Like acting like a family of scared rabbits! After a moment of watching the group, she focused back on Gorsestar.

As Rooster gleam padded out of the medicine cat den she made her way to the clan entrance. A few nests were placed just outside the entrance. Walking on she scented for the VineClan border. Cardinalstar wanted her her to be quick and the fastest way to get to WaterClan is to cross through VineClan territory. As the tortoiseshell padded quietly out of the CliffClan territory the sun was beginning to send it's glow over Fathomir. Knowing she needed to hurry Roostergleam quickened her pace.
Weedstar walked carefully out of her cold den. Small patches of ice laces the camp. Flicking her tail she beckoned the deputy. "Send out hunting patrols to the river today. We need prey and lot's of it."

She sat beside Lightningpaw, "I bet monsters don't even know what a tree is!" She whispered, smirking.

Lightningpaw purred. "They don't even know what another monster is." After a moment of thinking, Lightningpaw meowed, "Speaking of that, one time I saw a monster run into another monster. The other monsters panicked and quickly went around them, stopped and twolegs came out of its belly. One of them had something in its paw, and was putting it near its face. There so strange," She shook her head. Lightningpaw studied Owlpaw for a moment. Taking a quick breath, she asked, "How come you don't act like them?" She flicked her tail at the apprentices who moved away from them.

Gorsestar was glad they all were here. He addressed his clan then placed his gaze on Lightningpaw. "Lightningpaw, please step forward!" He mewed. "I think it's about time I appointed you with a mentor. So-" He paused. "I will be taking you on as my apprentice." He mewed as a bunch of cats mewed their congradulations to her. He even heard one say, "What an honor!" Normally only the deputies kits would be the leaders apprentice so the lot of the clan was suprised.

"Woah Lightningpaw!" Owlpaw mewed, "I never knew Gorsestar would take on an apprentice that isn't the deputy's kit! What an honor!"

Lightningpaw took a step forward as Gorsestar called her name, and she was trying to remain serious and calm. She perked her ears once he began, and was shocked Gorsestar would mentor her himself. Lightningpaw looked around surprised, and the sound of her name echoing in her ears filled her pride. Don't let pride cloud you. Pride is a dangerous thing. She dipped her head toward Gorsestar. She blinked as the cats crowed around her a little as they cheered. "It's an honor, but even if I'm Gorsestar's apprentice, I want to be treated like every apprentice," she glanced at Owlpaw and the other apprentices. Did she see a glare from one or two of them? It didn't matter now. She needed to help her clan as best as she could, clan born or not.

He dipped his head and flicked his tail telling the clan they were dismissed. He then padded down to Lightningpaw and touched noses with her. "We'll start tomorrow." He mewed and made his way back up to his den.

Bonestar beckoned his clan, and they dashed out of the gathering hollow. Once they made it back to camp he entered the nursery, and lay down beside Snowbreeze. He looked at the three kits, then licked Snowbreeze's ear.

Berrysplash made it back to camp and went into her den. She looked at all her herbs making sure everything was stocked. She nodded to herself and went to her nest in the corner. She curled up and soon drifted off to sleep.

Roostergleam dashed in through the camp entrance.
"Sir!"
Cardinalstar's head swirled over from a conversation with his deputy. "What is it? Are they coming?"
"No sir, I just needed to return quickly to tell my discovery!" the cats who were able to, walked over to hear the young she-cat's tale. "You see, I stalked around their camp all quiet-like. Weedstar was sending out warriors, to..." she paused momentarily, "go out and break the ice. She lied about the ponds supplying food. They're starving. I wouldn't recommend leading a food raid, for WaterClan doesn't have any food!"
Cardinalstar blinked. "Well, if they are weak we can maybe capture a few apprentices, maybe kits. They would be raised as CliffClan cats. We'll have more warriors for our needs. A cat told me of this in my dreams, Darkforest or StarClan, CliffClan needs the guidance of both in order to overcome this tough leaf-bare!" turning to his deputy he meowed, "Get all they cats we have, we need to get an ambush party ready before their warriors come back."

Bonestar stood up, licking Snowbreeze's ear, "I must go tend to the clan, my dear. I will visit you soon!" He stood up, and walked outside. A warrior came bursting in the tunnel, sending dawn-colored snow spraying behind him. Three other warriors and an apprentice followed, their eyes gleaming, "Bonestar!" The warrior who lead the patrol skidded to a stop, panting, "Bonestar! I think I have found a way to change Freezeclan's future!"

Gorsestar sighed and left the cats to congratulate the young apprentice. He walked out of the camp and made his way to the lake. The territories split right at the lake too. CliffClan was right next door to VineClan too. Gorsestar didn't really trust the leader and he was determined to find out what he was up to. Gorsestar made his way across the border onto their territory and lingered around until he found their camp. He peeked through the barrier at the leader and his clan mates and just listened.

Personality: hawkkit is known to be adventurous and full of curiously whenever she's at the elders den or exploring new things. Get on her bad side and she's quick to snap or yell at any cat when angry. She can be a bit serious sometimes but other then that, she's a friendly kit ready to exporle.

Personality: protective but caring, doveheart will do anything to protect her clan and her kit from any danger. She is sometimes stubborn and snappy but still, she wouldn't dream of acting disrespectful and rude towards the elders, medicine cat and leader.

SnowBreeze raised her small head when Bonestar entered the nursery. She purred with delight when he laid next to her and their kits. She smiled when he gave her ear a gentle lick. Before she could ask about the gathering he got up and licked her ear once more"Okay, see you soon." she meowed as he left. SnowBreeze sighed boredly before tending to her young.

Bonestar's eyes widened, "Really?" The warrior nodded,
"Yes Bonestar. I have found a rabbit warren. I lead the patrol into it, hoping to get a whole rabbit family on the fresh kill pile. We sort of got lost, and we then found light and when we emerged, we were on the other side of the territory!" Bonestar sat down, "Continue."

She nodded and made her way out of the nursery. But before she left she nudged all of Snowbreeze's kits in a bunch so they would stay warm. She then took her place at the edge of the clearing, where she got a good view of the leader and waited for him to report what news he had.

Weedstar walked nervously around the camp. Even though she had nothing to worry about it still troubled her. The clan needed prey or WaterClan will be no more. An apprentice wandered out of camp. Reaching the borders of the camp a scent hit him. Lone cat, she-cat, fresh, CliffClan! he thought as he recognized their foul scent. Bursting back to camp he let out a warning "CliffClan have intruded!" Weedstar's head spun over. "How many?" she asked.
"Just a lone She-cat." said the apprentice.
"Do you think she might've seen how weak we were?"
"Most likely, maybe more will follow."
Weedstar thought for a moment. "WaterClan be alert." she warned the camp.

Bonestar mewed, "Cats of Freezeclan! Our warrior, Frozenwhisker, has found tunnels under Freezeclan. I am thinking, since prey is scarce aboveground, for Leafbare we can hunt in the tunnels belowground. This will allow us to stay well-fed through leaf-bare. We will have a vote. If you want tunnels, move to the left side. If you do not want tunnels, move to the right." The majority of the clan moved to the left, a few moved to the right.

SnowBreeze listened to his announcement "Tunnels?" she asked herself "Under FreezeClan?" She knew prey would take shelter under there but predators might as well.. It could be dangerous for the warriors and apprentices to go into these tunnels, she knew badgers lived underground, what if they were to stumble upon one? SnowBreeze made up her mind and moved to the right side, she could hear the cats quietly greeting her "It could be dangerous, you know?" they asked, she nodded her head. "I lost a brother to a badger in a tunnel before, I will never let my kits step foot underground." Said another Queen. SnowBreeze listened to their opinions and stories. SnowBreeze looked around, it seemed like the tunnels were winning in this vote, she didn't really care, as long as no one got hurt.

Lightningpaw felt her paws tingling when Gorsestar meowed, "We'll start tomorrow." She looked around at her clanmates, trying not to puff up in pride. Just try not to be snooty about it. They know you are feeling pride anyways. Who wouldn't? Lightningpaw ears where twitching everywhere, and she could feel her whole body shaking with excitement. She looked around, trying to spot a apprentice that looked like feathers at first glance. Weaving around a few cats, she reached Owlpaw. "This is just...I can't even put it into words!" She blinked. What if she thinks differently just because I'm Gorsestar apprentice? She forced her ears to stop twitching and she pointed them at Owlpaw, waiting to see what the she-cat thought.

As cats gathered in their two sides he began to count. Five cats voted against tunnels, while the other cats voted for the tunnels. He nodded, "Everycat, we have voted for the tunnels. But, if you don't want to work in the tunnels, you can be a snow-runner, a cat who works aboveground. Tunnelers will hunt underground and will be responsible for the clan's fresh-kill in the winter. Now that we have voted for tunnels, we will see who will want to work in them or not. Cats who love the wind and snow in your fur, gor to my left. Cats who like don't enjoy running and like confined spaces, move to my right."

SnowBreeze moved to his left but didn't sit down. She raised her nose into the air, a frighteningly familiar scent entered her nostrils, badger. SnowBreeze instinctively hissed then ran into the nursery to check on her kits. Making sure they were safe she ran out then warned the others of the threat that was outside of the walls. She looked up at BoneStar then ran back into the nursery to keep her kits safe from the danger. She curled around them and kept her eyes on the entrance of the nursery.

Waking up the she-cat opened her eyes as they were dark blue, but in the sunshine they looked green. Raising her body from the soft moss she streched her body in every pose she could. Yawning her fangs were not so big, just normal as usual cat had. Pading out of the warrior's den her pelt in the sun light shined as fire. She could of had the name starting with fire, but her name was~ WaveFur. Why her name was that you ask? Because her fur had small wave's as an ocean wave's were.

Bonestar tensed as he smelled a scent in the air. He looked at Snowbreeze as she announced the threat, a badger. The clan stuck in their two groups, their fear scents spreading into the air. Bonestar mewed, "Everycat stay calm! It has been a while since we have smelled fresh badger in the air. But stay calm. Apprentices, you all patch up any holes in the camp wall and fill in any holes that could be big enough to fit a badger through. Warriors, stay here, I will orginize you into patrols. Berrysplash, you and your apprentice get herbs ready. If this badger wants a fight, we will need h"
"What do we do?" An elder called out.
"Elders.. you all guard the nursery. The last thing we need is to lose our future clan before they are even apprentices." The elders walked slowly over to the nursery, standing alongside some of the queens. Bonestar orginiazed the warrior patrols, making sure there was atleast 3 in each patrol. The warriors left the camp. Bonestar walked towards the nursery, laying down beside Snowbreeze, "It's ok.. the badger will have to get through us first to get our kits."

Hearing the voice of her leader about the badger the flamish she-cat padded near the nursery. She was new in the clan, sitting down the she-cat spoke: "Is everyone alright?" she spoke with a brave tone, aswell it turned worried. She turned to right, then left, sniffing the air she-spoke: "I should tell you that i think, there is a scent of a fox aswell...." WaveFur spoke alitle bit terrefied that a fox might come to the camp at night. Unseen and unscenced....

Tigerroar took the herbs, and gave the second bundle to Owlpaw. He beckoned his apprentice to the entrance, "Come. We must reach Fathomir before Nightfall." Owlpaw ran up,
"Are we really going to meet Fortis Animam? I thought he was just a legend!"
"He is real. He is wise and old, but is close to Starclan. He will put us to sleep and give us our destinies. He is very large, and may seem scary. But he won't hurt you."
"What does he look like?"
"He has one blue eye and one green eye. He is a large leopard. He has a star-shaped spot on his head."
"Alright. I am excited! Let's go!"
The two raced out the entrance, heading straight to Fathomir.

SnowBreeze nodded her head and licked his nose "Be careful." she meowed as she looked at their kits. They were all sleeping peacefully and were wrapped around each other. SnowBreeze got to her paws and conversed with the elders who were sitting outside the nursery. Some of them weren't worried at all, SnowBreeze was worried though. She knew Badgers were a tough enemy and could easily rip through their walls to get inside. SnowBreeze walked away from the nursery to talk to some of the warriors, telling them to be careful. SnowBreeze remembered that WaveFur said she could smell fox, SnowBreeze sniffed the air but could only smell Badger at the moment.

Lightningpaw turned her head as she heard a cat call Owlpaw. "Bye-" She realized the excited apprentice already left with her mentor. She shook her head slightly, but wasn't surprised that she was so happy. It would be cool to meet a leopard! The black she-cat trotted to the apprentices den, and sat near the front, but off to the side so no apprentice that might've woke late run over her. A apprentice padded out, stretched and yawned. He glanced at Lightningpaw and narrowed his eyes. "So, rouge, still no mentor? I guess Gorsestar doesn't trust you!" He hissed out, his eyes gleaming. "You should've been on your feet instead of sitting on your tail! Gorsestar appointed a mentor for me, and you would be surprised at who it is!" She felt her fur rising. She was getting tired of the taunting. "Who? An elder?" He sneered. He wants you to lash out so you will be exiled. Be calm. Try to be calm... After a few moments of breathing deeply and forcing her fur to lie flat, she mewed as politely as she could, "My mentor is Gorsestar himself." "Liar!" The apprentice hissed and trotted away, to a group of nearby apprentices. She sighed.

Cardinalstar stood before his clan. Most of his cats seemed much smaller than he was. "Reports from our patrols say that Weedstar has been hiding a weakness from the rest of the clans. They are starving! Their precious filthy fish are trapped under ice. Now is the time to strike!"
"Sir?" Questioned an apprentice.
"Go on." Cardinalstar looked at the young cat.
"How will we attack a clan when most of ours is suffering?"
Cardinalstar thought for a moment. "We send out a small battle patrol deep into their territory. Injure their warriors and give warnings. They will fear us greatly."

"O...Ok Tigerroar." Owlpaw sped up her pace, trying to match the pace of her large tabby mentor. Tigerroar sighed. The apprentice was out of energy, and they still had a long walk to go. His shoulders were broad and he had a powerful back and neck muscles anyway...
"You can ride on my back for a little of the way."
"Really?" The tired apprentice looked at him, slightly brightening.
"Get on." The dark brown apprentice clambered on. She was extremely light. She ate regularly, and he exercised her enough, "Why are you so light?"
"Uhh.."
"Why?"
"I was..just.. practicing..more. Yea."
"Mmm Hmmm." Tigerroar accepted her exuse. He would have to get on her later, "Get off, we are almost there."
Owlpaw leapt off, "Can we run?"
"Go!" Tigerroar mewed, dashing off.
Owlpaw caught up with him, and actually dashed ahead. What? How can an apprentice beat a warrior in a race? He grunted, and tried to catch up. A cold wind hit Tigerroar. Owlpaw fell behind, "What was that?"
"Probably the cold winds from Freezeclan territory. Come, let's walk together."

Bonestar pricked his ears as another scent drifted into his muzzle, "Fox..Snowbreeze.. I will be right back." He nuzzled his mate's shoulder then stood up and creeped outside the nursery. The apprentices have finished patching up any holes in the walls and the warriors were still on patrol. He walked to the apprentices, "I don't want you all to have nothing to do right now. Bury the fresh kill. If the badger comes into camp we can't lose any prey. Especially in leaf-bare." The apprentices dashed off, some digging while the others dropped fresh kill in the holes.

OOC: Plantpaw is a Freezeclan tom apprentice with plant green eyes and a long tail. He has medium sized paws and a long muzzle. He has a leaf shaped spot on his shoulder, almost like a symbol. He is kind, but he can sometimes get overexcited (Ex: If he is going to battle, getting his warrior name etc.) He doesn't have a crush, but it can develop anytime in the rp. He was one of the cats supporting the addition of tunnels and is eager to start tunneling.
IC: Bonestar turned, seeing the bushes at the entrance rustling. He tensed, ready if a badger came storming through. But one of the warrior patrols ran in, "That badger is huge!" One of the warriors panted.
"Did you see it?" Bonestar walked over to the patrol.
"Yea, but only a glimpse. But it was huge. It was carrying two rabbits in it's jaws."
"Prey-stealer!" A cat hissed.
"It is prey-stealing, but I don't know why it would do that unless it had cubs. Usually they would just eat it on the spot, and left the remains."
"What will we do about it?" The warrior asked.
"First, we will need to gather the warriors."
"Can I come to the battle?" An apprentice asked.
"No. Apprentices will not come. If the badger comes to the camp, we will need as many cats guarding. I will lead a patrol to get rid of it."

SnowBreeze watched as Bonestar talked to some of the warriors about the badger. She checked her kits once more before sniffing around the camp, trying to catch a smell of the fox that had been mentioned earlier. She could only smell the badger at the moment, but she thought she could faintly smell the scent of fox lingering in the air. The fur on her back stood up as their scent entered her nostrils. She flicked the tip of her tail back and forth then crept to the entrance of the camp to look outside of their walls. Once outside she peered around, the smell of fox was stronger out in the open. Suddenly her head snapped to her right and there stood a red fox, it's amber eyes staring at her. SnowBreeze hissed loudly and swiped her paw at it. Her body stiffened when the mews of her kits attracted the fox's attention. The fox crept forward, it knew there were young inside, easy prey. SnowBreeze hissed again and raised her tail and lashed at the fox, trying to get it's attention. "You won't go near them." she growled as she scratched it's muzzle. The fox yelped then snapped at her "Come this way." she meowed as she charged off towards the trees with the fox on her heels. She could hear the fox's barks and growls, she looked back and saw they were a good distance away from the camp. She quickly clawed her way up a tree and perched herself on one of it's branches and looked down at the fox. She knew the fox would soon forget about her kits and move on once it got bored of waiting for her to come down.

Plantpaw shifted excitedly, but his tail drooped when Bonestar said the apprentices had to stay here. Aww... The tom went in a tight circle, and remembered distantly that he just became an apprentice. That doesn't mean I still can't fight! Even through he really wanted to go fight the badger with his clanmates, he decided Bonestar's choice was wise to leave cats behind, in case it came to attack.
Plantpaw shifted again, half hoping the badger would enter the camp, but thought better. The queens and elders would be in danger. And the kits as well! Plantpaw ears twitched everywhere, trying to pick up the sounds of a badger's heavy paws as it walked. He felt that something was wrong, but he decided it was nothing and focused on scent and hearing.

Her ears prick, there's movement in the trees. Hawkeye's paws scrape the cold and coarse slate. Why in the trees......I can't climb too well. Her paws send clouds of dust through the air as she jumps. The prey had felt her movement, but had not reacted."Hm, too easy "She said, sounding arrogant. Her claws had grabbed the prey, the fatal bite had followed. "Better bring this to the camp." She shivers from the cold leaf-bare, her thick coat seemed to be failing her. The prey dangling from her jaws, she seemed to want to bury it. Her mind changed, wanting her to hunt again. She buried the fresh-kill, intending to come for it again. Her poor vision helped her hunt. Enhancing her other senses slightly. Soon her joints became tired, telling her to go back to camp.

Tigerroar saw the looming mountains that held Fathomir, and Fortis Animam the great leopard. Owlpaw muttered,
"Where is the leopard? Doesn't he live here?"
"He lives here alright. But he must be in his cave."
Owlpaw leapt into the air as a roar erupted from the cave.
"It must be Fortis Animam. He is summoning us. Follow my footsteps, and do no talk unless he asks you a question."
Owlpaw and Tigerroar entered the cave as the sun started to set. Owlpaw was thinking.
What if he doesn't like me? What will I see in my destiny? Will I have any kits?
Owlpaw was ripped from her thoughts as she bumped into something. She looked behind her. Tigerroar was standing behind her, his face emothionless. Owlpaw looked up. She was staring into the green and blue eyes of a leopard. A very big, very strong leopard.

The cold fresh-kill still dangling from her jaws, was cold and partially frozen.
Almost there Hawkeye, drop it and go in the den.The terrain was incredibly hard to walk on, due to its icy blanket.
If she kept on, she would get there in about 15 mins. Still worried about what the Clan would think of her, being gone so long. She paced her mind for ways to please them.
Bringing plumpish fresh-kill for the Clan will help me, right?When she had reached the camp entrance, she sighed and then entered.
They have heard of her but had never seen Hawkeye.
She dropped the finches in the fresh kill pile, then continued to the warriors den.
Her aching joints had disturbed her from getting any sleep. So she decided
to see what orders Cardinalstar had given.

"Hello Fortis." Tigerroar dipped his head in respect, and Owlpaw did too when Tigerroar looked at her.

Owlpaw was shaking from absolute fear as she stepped behind Tigerroar. The powerful tabby began to follow the leopard, deep into the cave. Owlpaw stopped, watching them go ahead. She branched off from the group, seeing a little 'cave' in the wall. She dove in, hiding. "He scares me!" She muttered. She curled her tail around her paws. Fortis Animam was huge, and could rip her apart. Where was he bringing Tigerroar?
"Owlpaw?! Owlpaw where are you?!" Tigerroar called. Fortis was beside him, trying to sniff out the apprentice.
"I am so sorry, Fortis Animam."
"It's ok. I have had a few apprentices bailing out of fear. Heh." Fortis Animam smiled, and sniffed the air, "I have her scent. Follow me, Tigerroar." The two toms approached a little cave in the wall, seeing Owlpaw's outline. Fortis reached into the cave, and dragged her out with his paw. He lightly picked up the mewling apprentice by her scruff and put her on his shoulders. They continued deeper into the cave, until they reached a cavern with a circle of stones in the middle.
Tigerroar went to the middle and lay down. Fortis placed Owlpaw beside him, the apprentice laying down beside her strong mentor. Fortis walked over to Tigerroar, and licked his forhead. The tabby tom fell asleep. Owlpaw looked at Fortis as he approached. The big cat licked her forhead, and the small apprentice fell right asleep.

Plantpaw began pacing, his tail lashing. Now that the badger was around, he couldn't do anything, but sit and guard the camp. Why can't that badger just leave, so we can go hunting or something? He stopped, lashed his tail once, and sat.
It's leaf-bare, for Starclan sake! We have to catch food, don't we?
Plantpaw was struggling to remind himself that he was only apprenticed yesterday. This badger is wasting my training! Plantpaw sighed, trying to control his anger at the badger, and wanting to obey his leader.
He's just trying to keep the clan safe. Without one apprentice here, it could make a big difference. He thought, his tail twitching.

Weedstar
The cold of leaf-bare shivered Weedstar, as he looked at the fresh-kill pile and picked out a plump fish. He settled near his den and ate it in a few hungry gulps. The tabby couldn't stop thinking of Miststream, she was young and intelligent. It was against the warrior code of her to be mates with him and have kin in another clan, however, many signs from StarClan go to her. So why should he worry?

Miststream
Miststream just woke up and was organizing herbs and berries. She was afraid of Green-cough. Let alone, the nasty Black-cough. But all was well, so what was worrying her? The medicine cat grunted and shook her head to clear it out and continued with the sorting out.

Blazestorm
The flame-colored tabby sighed as he looked at the poor cats with Green-cough. He knew he'll catch it soon. He decided to be away from camp for a while. He took a hunting patrol of 3 cats and set off. Leaf-bare was the most difficult of times. Ears were pricked when he heard a tiny creature scuffling among the bushes. Stealthily, he crept up on the mouse and leapt at it.

Tigerroar and Owlpaw walked slowly back to camp. The Sun was beginning to rise. Owlpaw meowed, "I can't wait to tell Lightningpaw all about Fortis and Fathomir!"
"You can't tell anyone about your trip. If it includes a prophecy, you tell the leader and medicinecat. But no one else."
"Oh..Can I tell her about Fortis Animam?"
"Sure. Just Don't tell her about the dream."
"Ok." Owlpaw meowed

Lightningpaw still sat next to the apprentice den, impatient for Owlpaw. Lightningpaw felt her head bob up and down from tiredness, her muscles aching. The black she-cat stood up and stretched, her jaws parted in a yawn. Her gaze shifted to the camp entrance, and she stood like that for a moment.
I'm too tired to wait any longer, she thought.
Lightningpaw lifted her heavy paws and entered the apprentice den. Her eyes drifted around, watching the other apprentices remain asleep. She picked her way around as carefully as she could, but ended up stepping on a cat's tail. "Hey!" Snapped the apprentice. "Sorry," she muttered, not feeling too sorry for the apprentice. She crawled into her nest, her muscles tense. She still didn't feel at home here. Trying her best to calm herself, she curled up as tight as she could, to be as small as possible. Lightningpaw never felt so alone in such a big group of cats.

Owlpaw arrived in camp. She and Tigerroar split as they walked to their dens. She spotted Lightningpaw. She curled up next to the dark apprentice, "I will tell you about the trip in the morning."

Lightningpaw, half asleep, half awake, heard paw steps as someone entered the apprentices den. Owlpaw's scent washed over her, and for a heartbeat Lightningpaw was startled at how familiar it was.
"I will tell you about the trip in the morning," she heard the apprentice say.
"Mmm...yeah..." Muttered Lightningpaw, not really sure what Owlpaw had said. The she-cat relaxed, feeling safe around someone she knew. Her blue eyes closed shut, and she fell into a dreamless sleep.

Lightningpaw opened one eye, and then the other. She heaved a huge sigh, her gaze drifting around. Moving carefully so she wouldn't disturb anyone, the black she-cat sat up. She lifted one paw and licked it, cleaning out any dirt.
Her icy gaze went over the sleeping cats again, wondering if she should go outside and stretch, or wait for Owlpaw. Lightningpaw curled her tail over her paws, and studied Owlpaw. With her around, any cat can get used to this, she thought, glad to be friends with such a kind cat.

Owlpaw woke up slowly. She saw Lightningpaw sitting grooming herself. She sat up. "So do you want to hear about the trip?"

Lightningpaw noticed movement at the edge of her vision, and realized Owlpaw was waking up. Lightningpaw kept grooming herself, but stopped and looked at Owlpaw as she talked.
"So do you want to hear about the trip?"
Lightningpaw blinked, and she felt excitement course through her. "Of course I do!" She meowed eagerly. She wanted to know as much information as she could about the clans and customs, so the other apprentices wouldn't be so rude. Lightningpaw was also curious about the leopard and the territory it roamed.
