Bender or Non-bender: She is a non-bender, not having a hint of bender ancestry (despite the fact that bending isn't hereditary entirely.)
Nation: In the midst of it all, she is currently working at Republic City that is being constructed. Originally, she had lived in Omashu of the Earth Kingdom.
Rank: As Republic City is uninhabitable for the time being for any other immigrants besides the original Fire Nation citizens, she isn't considered to be part of the colony (so she has no visible political/legal/official rank.) However, she is one of the head builders to the city and architect after spending much time following her grandmother's footsteps and being exposed to the wondrous works of her home city, Omashu
Personality:
Ushi can be defined as a explorer that needs a definite cause. She takes the roads less taken (literally) as her own need to go through every bit of detail is needed (and thus makes her a great atmosphere reader... if she could actually concentrate on humans.)She can be often seen being sociable, greeting others, and often drawing them into conversations of her own interest. She can be commonly seen as a person who doesn't hold her tongue but but she CAN restrain it over time with those she is close with (like Mingxia, who would most likely burn her.) In arguments, she can be seen as either two extremes: laid back or in full defense as others have to act as middle ground for her. As for how he weighs her goals, she does need solid evidence as she sin't the easy-to-believe type as she only believes with when the majority of her six senses are being used (so the spirit world is an iffy topic for her.) As she enjoys doing all details, it goes great along in her work when reviewing maps or blueprints for the works of the Republic City (if you need help with objects, come to her!)
Past:
Ushi grew up in Omashu and spent the majority of her time under the care of her grandmother as her parents were off working in King Bumi's castle as they were top servants in such avast place. Ushi's grandmother had history with King Bumi as the grandmother was responsible of directing mail traffic in the city and was petitioning for new pathways that she often challenged against the King (who enjoyed it.) She spent her time farther away from her parents, not having any siblings, and soon became the common child to find in the work places and often helped drag along materials for the workers. The remainder of her years were normal until the siege of Omashu from the Fire Nation, where she took captivity away from the city while her grandmother was imprisoned (along with her parents) for being connected to King Bumi. They were questioned constantly and the daughter/granddaughter spent her days trying to devise a plan to help them escape. The parents were freed thanks to the Avatar (the plan wasn't able to be deployed/Ushi didn't know the Avatar was there), but, the grandmother didn't survive under the conditions of her imprisonment. The loss took a great toll on the city's workers and that left Ushi under great supervision and was given the proposal to run the non-bender worker's league and she accepted. Soon, she was told to go a new "secretive" plan done by the Avatar that would be a architect's heaven and she also did accept that! On her journey, she came across an elderly woman named Mingxia and the two have small talk. She soon came back and begun bonding with the woman, being reminded of her grandmother, but these two beings were complete opposites.

There aren't any major or personal foes/enemies that she is aware of. However, there has been several protests against the building of the Republic City by the older generations of folks from all parts of the globe. Those against the building of the Republic City will find her to be one of the targets to bring their wrath upon.

Name: Mingxia
Age: 78 (September 6th)

Bender or Non-bender: She is a fire bender, not having any superior powers in fire bending (such as lightning control or
Nation: Mingxia has always been residing in the Fire Nation. She is fairly close to the Republic City and had family that once resided in the old Fire Nation territory. However, she does live by herself in a secluded area in a burnt down forest (myth said she torched the forest in rage of the spirits that lurked there.)
Rank: Mingxia is a master of fire bending, her strengths not extending out to her physical abilities, but her spiritual connection to the element and the access it gave to her to the Spirit World. She is considered a hermit that often is sought out by fire benders of the region to gain enlightment.
Personality:
Mingxia can be described as one that is wise for her own intentions, often as she seeks only knowledge and aspiration to what attracts her attention. However, she isn't the type to shun off from the problems of others, often hearing them, but she will give very honest but twisted advice to the person and will wonder what they will interpret it. She isn't a rational person but can be level headed in arguments that do not directly involve herself, often placing in her comments as she is wished to be heard by those around her. The firebender does face a rather level of patience as she hates those that do not listen the first time and go off wondering into their imagination and those petty stories. Not surprisingly, she is a good teacher to go by as she can teach others how to haggle (or gamble), the ways of the forest, and most times, how to communicate with the spirits.
Past:
She is one of the few that still remain today that remember the times in which the Air Nomads existed, or, the tales in which her parents spoke to her about their existence and gazed upon the scriptures her father, a soldier at that time, found in the abandoned Southern Air Temple. Mingxia was of the higher class and her family was well respected to have a long linage of powerful male firebenders that often took after the army. The issue was, Mingxia was the only surviving child that the family ever had. In that case, the father had tried to mold the little girl to be his own and be his successor. The firebender did obtained such marvelous techniques for battle but she was so wrapped around the scriptures her father had found years ago (by this time, she was a teenager) and went off exploring into the wilderness. The short trips soon turned into days of being lost, often she heard voices adn chased after them, trying to whip them away with her flames. Her parents took a very big notice of this, and wanted to take their daughter away from ti all. But, she wouldn't dare. For a full month, Mingxia took a lifestyle as an aesthetic and was slowly becoming that of a hermit.
In the third week of her journey, she found herself asleep and staring at her own body. She yelled in fright and soon considered she was in the spirit world after following the instructions from the Air Nomads' text. Becoming now Mingxia the Walker, she had returned home with a solemn gaze as she met rather unhappy spirits that revealed to her the truth of her father's desires of the future he wanted for a son he never had. In such a rage, she burnt down the house and cursed to them to never come into her path for she would find them and send away spirits to them. After that, she was casted off into the forest and stayed there all by herself where she met several travelers (Ushi included) but that would be decades to come.( She dealt with many spirits, often snapping, and once caused the whole forest to combust.
Now, Master Mingxia is a lowly hermit that lives in the dead forest. All that dare seek her, be forewarned, and tread with caution. They say the spirits are her allies and are willing to defend their connection to the human world at any cost.

Personality:Arika is a solitary girl that stands by her own beliefs and doesn't let other things get in her way,not before she accomplishes her goal.She doesn't want to be a burden for others this is why she tries doing things on her own then rather ask for help.The time spent with her family made her to always mind her behaviour this is why she maintains a polite attitude towards others,even if they don't do the same.However,she can be very rash whenever she feels that her patience is being tested,and won't hesitate to pick a fight with someone,especially if a person she cares about is hurt.On another side,Arika is generous and kind,although at times she seems shy.If there is something this girl hates most is when she is ignored or is bossed around.
Past: Coming from the freezing lands of the Northern Water Tribe,Arika was born in the Shakhren familly,known for its wealth.She wasn't the only child,having two younger sisters and one older brother.Her parents were extremely over-protective of them,this is why they wanted to make sure they would stay as close as possible from home.As she grew,Arika realised that her life meant more than just stay in The Northern Water Tribe,learning how to be a responsible lady,instead of seeing the world.At the age of 6,Arika has began demostrating waterbending,just like her siblings,but had little control over it.In order to give her a little more freedom,her parents allowed her to learn waternebding,and even found her a master,however,she and her sisters were only to be teached healing,whilst her brother would actually get to fight,making Arika envy him.Unpleased of her parents taking decisions for her,she managed to convince her master to also teach her how to fight and defend herself,so everyday,they would secretly meet for lessons.Arika's patience and will,(also her early training) has helped her master waterbending and healing by the age of thirteen.She would always keep practising when no one was around.However,her secret was revealed by Atheia,the youngest of the sisters, that caught her practicing and she had to tell her parents the private lessons she took.Angry of her parents that have forbbiden her everything,Arika decided to follow her own path in life and ran away.

Bender or Non-Bender: Fire, although his attacks differ from most fire benders. One of his hands conjures normal flames and the other uses bright blue flames. The reason for this is unknown.

Personality: "He's a snobby bragger, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person." ~ Yuka Nagato is known mainly for his selfish ways, big ego and exaggerated story telling. He is extremely stubborn and prideful, willing to start fight with those he thinks looks down on him. Though he will fend for others he feels depend on him and becomes not as rude to those he takes a liking to and knows well.

Personality: She is a rather open minded and optimistic girl. Maybe a touch too gullible and innocent at times. She feels strongly for those she loves and cares about, but will also shape herself to fit in if she feels its necessary.
Past: "I don't see why you would want to know, but alright. Here's my tale..." Yuka was born in the southern region of the earth kingdom with her brother Otaku in a fairly well off environment. Her father worked out in the fields and her mother was a fortune teller of sorts. Much of the time the two siblings stayed with there mentor to learn earth bending. The two always tried to out-do each other and exceed past the other. Though, this seemed to fall apart during the siege of there small home village. The guards were no match for the large group of bandits and they destroyed everything. Their mentor had saved them by creating a solid rock wall to buy the group time to escape, but was eventually overpowered. The two siblings have parted ways since those days and Yuka has no clue where her old brother is currently. She has met this new stranger recently, Nagato. She agreed to help him in his travels since there is nothing left back for her to return to, though she still does not understand much about this mysterious man.

Nagato and Yuka
"So there I was. One prisoner versus the entire fire nation army! A huge mass of fire coming my way. But they didn't understand I was different. I used my own bending to block the explosion but also repel it back at the troops. The fighting was fierce i tell you, but nothing I couldn't handle." The two occupied residence in a stranded canoe in the middle of a gulf of water. Yuka's eyes glistened with curiosity at the stranger's tale and she continued to row the canoe back towards the mainland, the two having caught a good share of food for the night to come. Nagato sat back laxly with his arms behind his head, legs crossed taking up much space in the boat. A yawn interrupted him as he continued his fable, "After I had escaped and it seemed I was free, the fire lord caught up to me. It was just one on one. But I never thought of backing down. Flames engulfed every inch of the land around us, until i finally found his weak spot and caught him off ground. Being as noble as I am, I did not kill him of course. But I did leave him with a scar to remember our fight. That's what that burn mark on his face is from." Yuka looked speechless and smiled, "Wow! You took on the fire lord by yourself and won?" He grins and nods, glad she bought into his made up tale. Nagato peered up, "The shore isn't that much further. I can't wait to go back to the room and relax after a long day." The girl rolled her eyes and nodded, "Yea. That feeling's neutral." She looked behind her and continued to the mainland.
The two had returned the canoe they used and returned to the inn they were staying at for the time being. Yuka glanced up at him, "Well, since you're going to be staying with me for now, you might as well make yourself useful and start cooking." "And where do you think you are going?" He raised an eyebrow, seeing the earth bender heading towards the door and she looked back shrugging, "I wanted to check the Zen Gardens and the library around there. Maybe they will have some information to help me with my bending. Anything you would need from there?" Nagato shakes his head at first then looks up, "Actually, it may be strange, but if you see any books about the avatars, i might check that out." "And a cook book?" she teased laughing, pointing to the fish he was already burning. He winced and flipped out, throwing the pan away and scratched his head nervously, "Ha... Maybe that would help." Yuka chuckled at him before heading outside of the room and bound to the streets of the southern village.
Yuka looked around at all the market stalls lining the streets and followed the path until it became a dirt road, leading up to a building facility higher up on a hill. Before she hiked up, she turned hearing a yell of panic and snapped back around curiously. Yuka quickly traced where it had came from and followed it, keeping light and quick on her feet. She stopped in a shaded area between a few building out of sight from the general public's eyes and saw two thugish figures grasping another weaker one. "I told you, I have no idea what you two are talking about!" an elderly fearful voice crowed. The earth bender flinched a bit hearing hard contact in the form of a punch and grit her teeth. She was not going to sit here and let these two bully someone around.

At the corner of an empty street,a hooded person could be seen,looking at a few posters attached to the cold wall.The person seemed to be a girl that for reasons unknown to strangers,didn't wanted her face to be seen,this is why the only phisical features that people could observe were her beige strands of hair.A frown appeared on her face as the girl looked at one of the posters.On it,it was a girl around 16,beautifully drawn by talented hands.Acording to it,this girl is the missing daughter of the Shakhren familly from the Northern Water Tribe.Should anyone see her,they were asked to bring her back and the reward for their doing will be beyond imagination,considering they were a rich familly.Because no one was around,the girl pulled away the hood,letting her beige hair out,flowing down to her waist.She looked exactly like the girl in the poster,this is because she was Arika Shakhren.She sighed,closing her eyes,like she was deep in thoughts.
She has ran away from home to start a new and better life,and her parents have already sent searching for her.Arika flet like she was nothing more but just a mere bounty.But no,she won't let herself be caught,even if the reward would tempt anyone to find her and send her back where she once used to call "home",now a real prison.But now that she was free,she had no idea what to do next,how to find herself a goal and finish it?Normally,Arika wouldn't ask for anyone's help,but now she felt like she only needed her best friend's advice.The waterbender really got along with Diana,but ever since she left the Northern Water Tribe,things weren't the same anymore.And this is why Arika was here.To find her friend and ask for her help.She didn't needed to be afraid of anything,the waterbender knew Diana would never betray her.Just yesterday,she finally found out her friend's exact location and now she was walking towards her house in an empty alleyway.For her,it was hard to meet an old friend you haven't seen for years,she hoped she haven't forgotten her.Now she was in front of her door.Taking a deep breath,Arika knocked on the door a few times,untill she heard footsteps coming from the other side.The door opened,revealing a girl the same age as her,with dark brown hair tied into ponytail and hazel eyes.The girl's expression swiftly changed from confused to one full of joy.
"Arika!Is that really you?the girl said,eyeing her,like she could barely recognise her."And I thought you forgot me."the waterbender replied,letting out a wide smile on her face."Oh,how I missed you!Diana hugged her friend,she didn't expected her to come right here."Come on in!"She then grabbed her hand and dragged her inside the house,making her sit on a chair.Diana poured some tea into a cup and then gave it to Arika."So,tell me,what are you doing all the way here?Diana asked her,taking a sit next to her."Well,its along story...but shortly,I ran away from home."Arika answered,taking a few sips from the warm liquid,and proceeded to tell her everything that happened ever since she left the Northern Water Tribe."SO that explains all those posters,I thought I recognised you at first,but I wasn't sure.However,no matter how bad it was with your familly,they must be worried sick for you.I don't think what you did was right.Arika sighed."Yes,indeed,I might have made a mistake with this decision,but my life means so much more and they can't control it.And now that I have finaly gained my freedom...I don't know what to do with it."Diana looked down,her hazel eyes facing the floor."Arika,you know I'd love to help you,give you some advice....but,if you don't care about your parents,then what about Cara?Weren't you the one who used to say she was the only sister you got along with?I'm sure she's worried aswell.You shouldn't make your siblings...But Diana couldn't finish because Arika interrupted her."I know,Diana,I know!I've been thinking about her all the way here.But she won't help me with anything.And since you keep telling me I should return home,well know I won't.It will be even worse.I'll figure everyting on my own then."With that said,Arika put the cup on the table and walked towards the door,but was stopped by Diana."Arika,wait!You asked for my advice,and I gave it to you.I can't force you to go back home if you don;t wish to,but,if you want to,you can come living here with me and my cousins!"Arika didn't knew what to say.It would be nice to have a place to live,but she felt like Diana's cousins wouldn't want her here."I don't want to be trouble...""No you're not!The guest room can be all yours!Come on,Arika...pretty please?"Diana then proceeded to make her adorable puppy dog eyes,in which nobody could simply say no."Okay.."Arika replied simply,smiling a little.Diana hugged her again.happy of her answer,and led her to her new room.

Nagato and Yuka
Yuka spared no time and hurried towards the two bandits, inhaling to focus and stepped on the earth in front of her, feeling one with it. She stepped harder on the ground, raising a boulder from the ground and kicked it in the two's direction. The thugs winced in utter surprise and barely had time to duck, the boulder flying overhead and accidentally crashing into a market stall. Yuka blinked and grimaced watching hearing someone in the direction yell, "My cabbages!" (xD That poor cabbage guy) She stared nervously but spent no time giving an apology and began to pursue the thugs, leaping over the broken cart and chasing them down the dirt stretch. Yuka became a bit curious, watching them enter some sort of odd elder building near the edge of town and proceeded inside after. The moment she set foot through the door, the door slammed behind her and a hard force slammed her to the broken wooden ground. She felt a knee dig into the center of her back and tried to yell for help, but a cloth was slapped by a hand over her mouth and she slowly fell into unconsciousness.
Nagato sighed and laid back in a chair boredly and impatiently, "That girl needs to learn how to run faster. Someone with calibur such as mine shouldn't have to wait for her." He grumbled and stood up, looking at the food on the table that had gone cold and rolled his eyes, slipping on his jacket and going outside for a short walk. Before he reached far outside, he heared the voice of an old crone fairly loud talking to a group next to her, "And they assaulted me wanting some ludicrous treasure. I told those bastards I didn't have it and they started beating me for no reason. Ignorant youngins' these days... If that girl hadn't of shown up who knows what they would have done." Nagato scoffed loud enough for the group to hear and murmured, "Saved by a little girl? Please." The old woman glares at him and hits him over the head with her walking stick, "Don't be so disrespectful boy! And she wasn't that young, maybe a little younger than yourself. I wouldnt know cause she chased after them and I never saw her after that." He rubs the sore spot on his head and narrows his eyes, "So now she's missing huh? I wonder..." Slight suspicion rose in him as he left the scene going to where Yuka was supposed to be going.

The new room Arika was going to sleep in was lovely,in fact,the whole house was welcoming.It was big,seeing how,besides Diana,there were three other people living here.After setting herself in,Arika went downstairs,to not only meet Diana but also a young girl,who seemed to be 9 years old.Undoubtly,it was one of her cousins."This is Lee,the youngest of my cousins.Lee,this is Arika,a good friend of mine from the Northern Water Tribe.She's going to live with us"Diana spoke."It's a pleasure to meet you."Arika said,shaking hands with the girl,but Lee said nothing,just nodding her head.Her big blue eyes pretty much answered instead of her that she was glad to meet Arika aswell."Oh,and I forgot to say,she can't talk.Poor girl."Diana said with sadness.Arika felt sorry for Lee,because she knew it was hard for a mute to hang around people and express herself.
