Hey there, as probably A lot of people do, I love Feral Heart. And not too long ago, Feral Heart had completely stopped working for me, no matter how many things I did, or things people told, it stayed stubbornly dormant. That wasn't the only thing disfunctioning at that time, and I had so many extra files at that time, I had no way of clearing it manually, and there was no cleaning software that could get rid of these files without destroying important files, so I completely reset my lap top back to its defaults, and I reinstalled Feral Heart no problem, except one...It was the biggest lag game ever! It never lagged like this before! I honestly love challenging myself to jumping to sky's rim, but when I tried, I couldn't even stand it, it was so laggy. So, for a while I ignored it, turned off my lap top for a month, and left it there, but with school work rolling along, I can't ignore the lag forever, because it's not the only thing gone wrong. I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with the DirectX (DxDiag) In fact, almost certain. Does anybody know how to help?

how's your interwebs speed?
Feral heart is always a big laggy game purely for the amount of things i't has to load for you to be able to see all the floofs and what not running around in front of you, sky's rim and AI being small maps anyway it will lag especially if there is a lot of people there as the game is working very had to keep up with all the things it has to load onto the screen for you...
it may indeed help to lower your settings, check your internet speed, all of this stuffles, maybe delete any add on's you have, for example loads of maps, items or markings.
other than this you're just gonna have to put up with it i'm affraid

Zady has good points there - I'm just going to add on from hers.
Making your FH game run more stable/even faster! (click me) (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=11278.0)
Also, I've heard if you uninstall some unwanted programs from your computer, it'll make it faster.

Try lowering your view distance and turn your water reflection off, and I've heard that being on a small character also helps reduce lag. Try deleting any maps that are unneeded/unwanted or anything else in your FH folder. If not, try some of the suggestions above.

I know that Feral Heart is slow, but the thing is, it wasn't like this before I restarted my computer, and the view distance is lowered, and there's no water reflection, as I said before, I'm almost certain it has something to do with the DirectX(DxDiag) for Feral Heart isn't the only thing, but Minecraft Won't let me play saying my pixels are outdated, but this is a new Windows 8 laptop, It's weird I know. (Also, I looked up the manufacturer for the DxDiag, so maybe I could update it, but it says n/a...)

Did you make sure that you switched rendering systems from OpenGL to Direct3D9? If that dosnt work then perhaps you need to switch rendering systems.
Also if you have a anti-virus on your computer then perhaps you need to turn off your firewall.

Yes, Also what map (If its an Offical FH Map where?) It may be how detailed or populated it is.
