This whole shindig was advertised as a game show. All you had to do was make it through a single Siberian winter in a cabin provided by the producers. Do that, and you'd be walking away with your own share of $500,000. The letter you had received had specified that, if there were multiple "survivors" at the end of winter, you'd all receive prizes.
What it neglected to mention that some of you weren't going to survive the winter. Literally.
A few weeks later, you stood in a Russian airport, your single allowed bag slung over your shoulder. It was here that you met your fellow contestants, subconsciously decided who to stick with and who to stay away from. After an hour or two, a man approached, led you to an unused part of the terminal, blindfolded you ("it's all part of the game," he assured you as he did it), and brought you out into the cold night air. It was here you boarded a helicopter and flew to the game's site. It was here you found out that you'd be basically living without rules.
And it was here that your normal life ceased to exist.

Backstory/Plot (If you're confused :3)
One hundred years ago, something known as the Tunguska event happened in the Siberian region of Russia. A meteor entered the atmosphere and exploded, leaving a gaping hole in the ground. Now, strange things have been happening in Siberia. Strange creatures have been appearing, while normal people have been disappearing. Time skips keep happening. Incredible shifts in temperature and weather happen without warning.
Two local tribes- one known as merely "The Valleymen" and another known as the Evenki- have been living in strained harmony in the midst of the chaos. When a helicopter, packed with a camera crew and contestants for a game show, lands in the midst of the field, the thread of truce between the two tribes is snapped. Neither wants the outsiders there, but the Valleymen are open to taking more... extreme measures to remove the intruders.
As a contestant of the show known only as "Siberia," it's your duty to survive both the winter and the strange happenings.

-There is likely to be some blood and gore in this RP. If you get squeamish around things like that, this may not be the RP for you.
-Minimum age is 18. No younger. Max age is whatever.
-Likewise, there is bound to be some swearing (not in every sentence, though 8c). No racial slurs or offensive statements about someone's sexual orientation, gender, or race. If I see any of that, I swear, I will kick you out of this RP so fast that you'll feel it seven ways to Sunday.
-Try to include someone in your posts. I've seen countless people leave RPs because they are constantly excluded. You don't need to gather every single person into your post, but if you see someone whose character isn't getting much love, feel free to interact!
-Try to be active. I don't ask that you hover around this thread, immediately posting every time someone else does. A post every day or two is fine for me. If you're gone for more than a week without letting me know, your character(s) will be killed off, and you will be removed from the RP entirely.
-You can have two characters max in this RP. However, if one is killed off, you will not be able to make another, seeing as random people don't just pop up in the middle of the Siberian wilderness.
-No perfect characters, powerplaying, or godmodding (the last two are okay if given permission) for the love of everything. Your character is not amazing at everything, isn't the hottest girl on the face of the planet, and is not wanted by all the guys.

It takes a special kind of person to get through that tough shell, they'd find an extremely loyal, trustworthy person.

He comes into the game angry, betrayed (once again), and distant, not allowing himself to speak to any other of the contestants.

R.J is a rather happy person, loving her life even if she has nothing besides the clothes on her back. Though like an onion she has many layers. R.J can be untrusting, often judging at first glance. She can also be rather stubborn, not budging once she makes a decision even if she's wrong.
Smarts isn't exactly her strong point, often having those 'blonde' moments. At school she played the school rebel, skipping classes and setting off fire alarms.
The 20-year old is really a grudge holder, holding grudges for long periods of time before even thinking about letting it go.

History:
R.J hasn't had the worst life, but she honestly she hasn't had the best either. When she was really young her father walked out on her mother and her, and without her father's income the two were quite poor. Realizing this her mother got another job leaving R.J often alone. This caused a rough relationship between R.J and her mother. So instead of staying at home the girl would leave, exploring the city.
Then her mother lost both of her jobs, leaving them broke. So they had to move to a house that was in a rough neighborhood. The 'ghetto' as most people call it. Money was tight, so R.J caught herself often stealing from passerbys and then selling things in back alleys for cheap.
Things were going moderately well, having enough money for rent and food, but then her mother caught a fatal disease, cancer. It grew fast, reaching stage 4 in a matter of months. The little money R.J could collect wasn't enough to pay for surgery and her mother passed away later that year.
Now alone R.J finally took up another job, though not many would even consider hiring her. So only surviving on the little money that she could collect it seemed like a godsend when this new gameshow appeared. The few weeks that it took to choose the contestants seemed like an eternity and when R.J was chosen it seemed like a road to luxury.

As time moved on, he got a job, he moved away, and lived a lonely life. That was, until he had found out about the 'Siberia' thing...

A bitter wind tore across the Siberian landscape, whipping up leaves and dead vegetation. Numerous trails of hoofprints crossed between two small cabins, one's door slightly ajar. It was in this cabin that one would find a man of about twenty-two, with dark hair, sitting on a bed, jacket wrapped tight around him. He stared at the tiny puffs of air as they rose and dissipated before his very eyes.
God, it was freezing.
After a few moments of staring at the door, Alex shoved himself off the bed, his hiking boots tapping against the floor. Night was going to be closing in quickly, and it was highly likely that it would get even colder than it was now. Wrapping his jacket more tightly around him, he stepped from the cabin, feet sinking into the three or so inches of snow on the ground.
"Anyone want to come help me search for some wood?" He asked, glancing around. "It'd be pretty wise to get a fire going, seeing as I expect the temperature to dip well below freezing once dark comes." Turning, he grabbed the old, rusty axe that was propped up against the building, resting it on his shoulder. "If any of you can find anything dry- leaves, sticks, twigs, anything of the sort-, put it in the ring." After standing there for a few more moments, he nodded, walking off into the trees.

Alex's gaze rested on a girl with long, crimson hair. A quick whip of wind blew past him, sending up a little puff of snow. He had known that there were more people out here, but he hadn't seen any beside this woman. He nodded toward a thick patch of trees, his gaze not leaving her. If something happened, he wanted her to know that she could run in there with him. He wasn't sure of her name or where she was from, or if she could even understand him, seeing as he hadn't heard her say anything yet.

Raven stayed on the depths of the pines, his dull violet eyes carefully grazing over the white land. He strangely didn't feel cold anymore, as he was quite used to overpowering climates. His hand went into his jacket's pocket, feeling on the knife that was hidden there. Sadly, this was the only weapon on him... but inside his large jacket were bags of food such as frozen rabbit meet, and some sticks and rocks he could use to make a fire to melt the snow and cook the meat only when he needed it desperately. And this man had a very strong stomach. He spotted two figures, and soon slid into the thicket, focusing on them like an animal.

Carefully, he raised the axe, gripping the handle tightly; so tightly, in fact, that his knuckles were quickly turning white. "Who's out there?!" He hissed lowly, inching forward slowly. If it was an animal, he didn't want to startle it away so quickly. If it was another human, he was prepared to at least injure. "If you have a brain in your skull, you're going to come out now. Otherwise, I may have to go axe murderer on you." He kept a stoic glare on his face, but deep down, he was cracking up.

Amalia was walking around the freezing land,searching for food.It wasn't easy to find an animal,and even if you did,you had to hunt it down.In just a few days she has stayed here,the girl came to hate the weather.Always shivering,her clothing could no longer keep her warmth.Amalia stopped when she saw a deer wandering around,slowily advancing throught the thick snow.Amalia knew not to underestimate the prey,because fi the animal spotted her,it would just run away and she wouldn't be able to catch it.Stealthily,she made her way behind a fallen tree trunk.The girl wasn't unarmed of course.She placed an arrow in her bow and raised her weapon towards the deer.She could tell the deer was feeling the danger.The animal made a few more steps,thats when Amalia released the arrow,hiting the deer's neck.Panic and injured,the deer started running forward,leaving blood behind.The girl ran from her spot and followed the blood untill she caught up with the animal,now laying in the snow,barely breathing.Amalia felt guilt fro killing the innocent creature but she has been starving for a few days now.She dragged an arrow from her quiver and stabbed the deer,ending its life."Es tut mir leid."she apologised.

Hikaru glanced up at the man. He was right, it was a movie, an American one from what she remembered. However, she kept her hands in her pockets. As she studied him, she analyzed that he was a smoker. Telling by the skin tone and facial features, he was a mix of European countries. Telling by his arms, he was skilled in combat, and had a military background, meaning he was strong mentally.
Then, she glanced towards the other man, and began studying him. Telling by his voice he was English, and hardly asked for help. Telling by his arms, he was an archer, and damn good at it. He seemed efficient, and not really one to make friends in such a game. He seemed efficient, telling by the way he carried the axe, and seemed to be very hard working. She noticed that he hated the weather as much as she did.
She smirked inconspicuously, as she planned an exit, by attempting to guess their weaknesses. However, she doubted either of them would harm her, due to the fact that she had the luxury of being the youngest in the game, the baby. However, what kind of informant would she be, without knowing every bit about the other players in the "game"?

Alex grimaced at the man who emerged from the thicket, cautiously lowering the blade. This guy absolutely reeked of cigarettes and seemed to be too cocky for his own good. He was prepared to act, though, if the other attempted to attack. Subconsciously, he stepped in front of the girl, making himself a sort-of shield.
"Look, I laughed at myself, internally, for the stream of stupid that just came from my mouth," he admitted, shaking his head. "Why aren't you at the cabins? It's probably safer there than out here." He tightened his grip on the handle of the axe as he stared at the man's unnaturally white teeth.

Venice dragged herself through the thickened snow blanket, a large boar draping over her shoulder. Her red eyes fluttered, pupils slightly dilating as she threw the furry animal down onto a small log. "I'm never, ever, draggin' /that/ 'lad over here." She panted, plopping down onto the log besides the creature she found and eyed the other people in the distance. Leaping up from her seat, the blonde raced down to them, watching as her visible breath flew befor eher due to the cold. "Instead of chattin' along, get something to eat, would ya', lads?" Her tone was almost friendly, since she figured being friendly was the only way to get a connection running between these people. Venice pointed towards the fat boar on the log.

Amalia was going to drag the deer towards the cabin,but things don't always go the way you plan.A loud growl was heard from the bushes just a few steps away from her."Oh no..."she said,mostly to herself,hoping that it wasn't what she thought it was.But unfortunately,Amalia had to deal with wolves.Four of such animals got out of the bushes,slowily approaching the girl and her prey.They must've smell the blood.Amalia was only able to take down one,but whilst she would fire an arrow,wherether it would hit a wolf or not,another onee would attack her and she would not stand a chance.She had no choice but to run away,and so she did,hoping the dead deer will let the predators occupied.Luck has helped her again,because the wolves started biting on the animal,not minding her.She was running towards the cabin ,mentally cursing that she wasn't able to bring a great prey.On her way,she saw some people who seemed to be hostile towards eachother,one of them holding an axe.Out of curiosity,she approached them cautiously.What's going on here?she asked.

Raven glanced around to the group of people, narrowing his eyes slightly. These were too many beating hearts for his taste in one place. The man just looked sharply to the one who questioned him on their safety in his prescence. Sadly, since this whole 'game' started, he hasn't had one cigarette since they get blown out almost immediately. He was full of stress... yet felt strangely calm. Maybe he would quit smoking completely; he felt in his element around here. The solider knew this game now like the back of his hand... they weren't going to be here forever. Someone was going to go home. This must still be a show, one that watches what real humans become in times of crisis. He actually smirked. 'Sounds like something I would watch.' he agreed to himself, and had come to that conclusion since he spotted the first human. He killed him. And he didn't even care, or hold any edvidence that he did. The body was about two miles away buried under snow; probably no one was that observant to find him. He just puffed out a breath, as if a hoarse chuckle. "I'm not sticking around too many strangers. I wouldn't get any shut eye." he said simply, than glanced to the blonde. Personally - and he'll admit it proudly - he thought that this woman was very attracted. He smirked slightly, shaking his head strangely polite like... seeming to change in his mood completely. "No thank you madame, I'd rather hunt for only one or two mouths." he said bluntly. His eyes than roamed to the third, narrowing his eyes slightly as he had taken in data on all of them. He knew who would be a mighty handful against him or not; he was practically trained to survive this 'game'.

Spitfire blinked. She made her way back to the mountain. She had gotten all of the info she needed, and didn't really wanna stick around. She looked back, questioning if anyone was following. Not that she was scared. It was just that too many people never meant anything good, in her opinion.

Swinging the blade upwards, he dug into a decently sized tree around ten feet away. He'd take care of stripping the bark off once he got back to camp. "So, where're you from?" He asked the dark-haired man, not really expecting a response. This guy didn't really seem like one to stick around long; he'd probably be gone within ten minutes. However, it would probably be good to have allies of some sort in this game.
That was another thing that struck him as odd. If this was a game, there would be a medical crew, a camera crew, and directors scattered about. He hadn't seen any of those things since the helicopter ride to their base. They were oddly alone, like they'd been abandoned. After chopping for a few minutes, the tree fell, crashing to the snow-covered ground. Quickly, Alex set to work, cutting off small branches, saturated by the melted snow. Soon, the tree had become merely a trunk, with a few little branches coming off here and there. Now came the real test; did he set the axe down, possibly letting this other man sink it into his back? Or did he somehow manage to drag both back?

The blonde blinked, pulling a hand to her face to wipe off the sweat that littered her forehead. "Fine, laddies'." She would have said something towards the end of the sentence, but she shut her mouth and scrambled up towards her boar. Carefully enough, she lit a fire by snapping some branches and throwing them down, then using two sticks to spark up a miniature fire for her. Pulling her dagger from her boot, Venice quickly ripped the boar to pieces before shoving them onto the cracking fire. The girl grabbed the sides of her coat and pulled them closer together, sitting down onto a stump and watching the fire crack and dance before her.

The girl who seemed to be japanese left,shortly followed by another blonde girl with a scottish accent.Amalia thought it'd be nice of her if she was to warn them about the group of wolves she encountered earlier so they wouldn'thave to deal with them and risk getting killed."Just so you know,there is a pack of wolves not far away from here,so unless you're able to take down all of them,without getting killed of course,I reccomend not getting near that area."she said,pointing towards the direction where she came from then wandered off towards the cabin.The girl had to give one more try for finding some prey to eat,she had to check the traps she set near the cabin.Once there,she found a rabbit,trying its best to get out of the trap.It wasn't much but any food was acceptable in her condition.She killed the rabbit ,using a knife to rip it in pieces.Amalia made a small fire afterwards,enough to cook the meat,adding occasionally a few branches.

"Hm?" Alex leaned on the axe as he looked up at the Japanese girl. She was pretty, with crimson colored hair and silver eyes. "The wolves are attacking people...?" He muttered to himself, glancing off in the direction that the German girl had pointed. "Well, that's certainly not good. We shouldn't be out now. They could smell us." Quickly, he sunk the blade of the axe into the tree, mentally cursing himself for not thinking of that earlier. Then he bent down, wrapping his arms around the trunk, pulling it up. He began to drag it, mumbling assorted curses once he realized it wasn't really moving anywhere. Biting his lip, he did something he normally didn't. "Hey, uh, can someone grab the back end of this? I'm not really getting anywhere by myself."

Hikaru walked over and picked up the back, using her leg at first. Her silver spoon eyes nearly reflected her concern, but she wasn't going to admit such a thing. "Which way are we headed?" She asked, trying not to strain herself.

Dex sighed and slid down the side of a tree. His bare hands hit the cold snow. Her buried them deeper with no good reason. Dex knew he needed to find ways to survive but at this point he just wanted to relax.

"Mmm... that way." He nodded back through the path that he'd cut through the undergrowth. "When we get back, I'll strip the bark off and chop it up." Alex glanced up, frowning as he noticed the sky growing darker. "We'd better hurry. I don't want to be out here when it's dark. It gets downright scary." He nodded to himself, carefully traversing his way down the slight incline. "Careful, don't want you slipping."

Dex huffed and stood back up. He pushed his hair out of his face and stuck his hands in his pockets. He began trudging through the snow before he heard voices. He followed them before running into two others. He shrugged and just stared at them waiting foe them to say something.

Upon making it back to camp, Alex set his portion of the log down on a large, flat rock, then went around and grabbed the girl's end. Setting it down as well, he brushed his hands off, forcing a smile.
"Hey, thanks..." He trailed off, tilting his head. "You know, I never got your name, and, to be honest, you probably never got mine. I'm Al-" A flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye caused him to cut his sentence short, and he turned, spotting a male with reddish-brown hair. "Uh, hi."

He shrugged. "Hi." He said planely. "First time i've seen others in this game." He said pushing his hair once more out of his face. "Guess I got lucky now..." He shrugged. He stared at the two blankly not sure what to say now.

"Mmm... I suppose that depends on your definition of 'lucky,'" Alex muttered, kneeling next to the log. Using the axe, he began to strip away the wet bark, tossing it aside. "Where're you from?" He asked over his shoulder, not paying attention to the task at hand, and that led to the feeling of metal slicing into skin.
The axe clattered to the ground, the blade dotted red. He squeezed his hand shut, as tightly as he could, and winced as blood began to drip from his palm. He looked at the new guy, then the girl next to him, and finally ran to the cabin, rummaging through things as well as he could with only one hand.

He shrugged. "Here and there...." He answered coolly. His eyes got a bit wide in shock as the boy he was talking to hit his hand with the axe. He looked at the axe in the snow as it began to stain the snow red. He shuffled through the snow to the cabin after the boy. "You gonna be ok...?" He asked calmly.

Alex turned as the girl began to rummage through her pack. When she found supplies, he began to haphazardly toss things back into the chest, then slammed it shut and sat on top of it. Carefully, he opened his hand, wincing as the already dried blood pulled at his skin. Moving the injury would only lead to more blood, but from the looks of it, the wound wasn't exactly deep. It was long, though, slicing horizontally across his palm.
"Good thing you're here, isn't it?" He chuckled, motioning toward the bandages and gilead.
