Title: Does anyone use the emotes?
Post by: WhiskerWatcher on October 17, 2013, 12:14:42 pm
Hey there. I'm wondering if you guys ever see anyone using different emotes. The ones that I usually see is the normal, smile or serious. Have you guys ever made a character with a different expression? Maybe it will add to your characters personality? But those are the ones that I see mainly. Apart from the troll face used by. Well, trolls.
Any who, lets discuss.

When I could get on FH I did use the emotes a lot. I would change it though the roleplay to show how my character was feeling. No one else did it though.

I do wish that do people do this more often. It will be great to express the characters feeling during rp in their facial expressions.

I often use the 'Rest' one to signal that I'm AFK/BRB. I rarely use emotes during RolePlay tho, for some reason.

I use the emotes very often when I role-play or even just to be emoting in general because I like the emotes. Sometimes I like to play around with them just to help experiment with different personas.

I always use the emotes, even when I'm not in a RP. I like how they show my charries expression so others can get to know them better.

I do use rest and other emotes when I remember to, like joking around and stuff or sleeping in rp and outside of rp. x3 I tend forget pretty often though to use them, but I do use them.

I mainly use normal as my well...normal emote for my character. But when I do get into some kind of role-play I do try to experiment with the emotes more than as I would just standing there idle.
When I am bored I sometimes lay down and press 'rest' emote. This happens when I have nothing better to do than just stare at other characters running around, or it's night and I want my character to 'rest' ^^ xD

I use emotes a LOT. I use rest ear droop and curl at the same time so my character appears asleep when I'm AFK/BRB. Most of my friend's get the picture when they see this and howl/roar to get my attention in the case I am tabbed out.
In RP I use emotes a lot too but unfortunately as others have said, its something thats kind of dying out. Its a little awkward to use them when the other party has a blank expression the entire RP. I even had one person tell me that my character was grinning as if I didn't know it in the middle of a RP when I had even mentioned in the text that was what my character was doing. Seriously, whats the point of using the game as a visual for a roleplay if you don't use it to its full capacity?

I use the emotes all the time, whether I'm roleplaying or just goofing around. The most common ones I use is the sleep emotes, ear droop, ear perk, razz, foxy, confused, and rage, just to add a little more to the story.
