Title: feralheart black screen issue

my friend brivi has just made a feralheart and after:
-downloading
-redownloading
-downloading the patch
-checking all files are correct

when she logs in the background is just hills, no trees or anything.
her creating a character shows the character but everything is black
upon starting the game you can still see the character but it is still all black.

can I get some help please?

 It sounds like its either your computer graphic card is not able to play Feral Heart or you need to change your rendering system from  Open GL to  Direct3D9
You are able to change this setting from your Option tab on your main menu of the game. From there click video and switch the rendering system to the opposite version.

im afraid that we have tried and it still does not work. her computer is fairly new and it is windows 8. could this have something to do with it?

I have Windows 8 myself and it runs fine. :3 Try changing to Dercit3GL or her GP and RAM might not be able to play FH. Just a question

What is the brand? Asus, Dell,  Acer ect.
What is the model? Notebook (Normal sized laptop but thinner with keyboard cooling) Netbook, gaming ect.
What is the size and how many tabs does she have open?
