Okay im not entirely sure if i have this in the correct thread or not but i'm having issues with the map maker.
My height map works just fine but as soon as i put in my map mask and select which terrain i want to go where i still have black areas on the map that arent lighting up. Am i doing something incorrectly?? i uninstalled and re-installed feral heart and it is still doing the same thing.

Yes, this is the right place. :)
Did you try looking at the tutorials in Member Made Tutorials? Perhaps Stripe's tutorial will help?

I'm not very good at making height maps but maybe if you look around the Mapping tutorials you can find something.

You need to click the little arrow just above and to the right of the box where you select which terrain you want to use (I.e. Rock, sand, grass, etc) There should be three, each one can have a different terrain, 1 is red, 2 is green and 3 is blue (If I remember right.)
-
I've clicked those and changed the terrain but it still is there, i was wondering if i maybe messed up the map mask somehow or something o.O
-
Make sure the terrain and mask are at 513x513.
-
Also make sure there are no spaces or capitals in your terrain mask name, they can mess it up.
-
Hmmm make sure you didn't put any other color but red, green, or blue and they have to be pure red, green, and blue. If they are not pure it might not work

I fixed it somehow, thank you all for your help.
