Title: Creepypasta
Post by: Oogie Boogie on December 08, 2013, 12:32:53 am
Has anybody noticed that in almost every map you go to there will most likely be a Creepypasta character there? Common ones such as Jeff the Killer, Eyeless Jack, Ben Drowned, Smile Dog and Slenderman have probably appeared more than they should.

I'm not saying that they're bad. I like some of the characters, too. People always want to express what they like. If you're a fan of Creepypasta and want to make a character that's fine but my point is... ...there are just too many.

I walk into Cape of Distant Worlds and I am literally stricken by Slenderman, Jeff the Killer, Jane the Killer, [Insert Name] the Killer and Ben Drowned. What I like to do is crawl away slowly hoping on of them won't stab me. I, too, have an obsession, and it's obvious. I like to waltz around multiplayer as a Nightmare Before Christmas character all the time but the thing is that I'm always the only one. That fandom seemed to die down years ago for some reason, I don't know why, maybe just no one on here really cares about that movie. But, I'm fine if somebody makes a Creepypasta character but when you make one there's fifteen more in a single map.

If there were ten of the same Nightmare Before Christmas characters in one map I would get kind of irritated, even though it's my favorite obsession.

Nobody's going to stop anybody from making their own character but I'm just asking, do you guys feel the same way or do you at least think that there are a lot of Creepypasta characters? I'd like to hear what you all have to say.

I agree with you. I seem to see alot of them everywhere. Not sure why. People are so original these days.

I actually saw a Jack Skellington today :{D But you're right, there are lots of them. But that's like saying they're are lots of TLK RPers and lots of WC RPers. I don't get your point...

I feel you man. I'm getting tired seeing all these stupid creepypasta fangirl pr0n stars everywhere. They are boring, annoying, overrated, and cheesyly written. Let them die already..

Pardon me for asking, but what exactly is a Creepypasta?

Creepypasta are essentially internet horror stories, passed around on forums and other sites to disturb and frighten readers. They kinda have their own fan base now (because for whatever reason people are starting to have fan girl crushes on serial killers). You could say I am one of their fan girls, but I don't have a character on FH that's a Creepypasta. Hope this answers the question.

They are boring, annoying, overrated, and cheesyly written. Let them die already..

... dude? Chill out. Don't you think that's a bit too harsh?
Sure, they're certainly a lot of them around but don't flame other people for doing what they want to. That's like telling someone to believe in a certain religion. Or for a FH example, to tell all the WC Clans that they're useless. And besides, why does a user being a fan based character make you want them to die?

I believe they mean for the stories to die Starry. Not the people.

I know that. What I was asking was why would she want the characters 'sightings' to die out on FH. They're causing no problem what so ever.

I love creepypasta, because of the stories, and nothing more.

Everyday I see a Slenderman, Jeff the Killer or whatever, and I just ignore them. They are not breaking any rules, and there is nothing I, or anyone, can do about it. People will just have to deal. That said, I am not a huge fan of these characters in FH.

They are unoriginal. Plain and simple. They are also very hard to do anything with, other than sit around and chat. No one wants to roleplay with them, because they are so hard to pull off and so overused. Most of the people, I noticed, are the younger players who don't have enough experience to not make a 'killer' sound cheesy. This is what gets on people's nerves.

Creepypastas often have no weaknesses, which make them hard to roleplay with. They would be less annoying if they showed their obvious weaknesses like logic problems, intelligence problems, ect, ect. If people, in general, were to do this more often roleplaying would get a whole lot better.

However,I also noticed that most of the characters do not roleplay, rather just sit there quietly. I'd love to hear from some of those people and what they think about this matter.

Creepypastas are not to be confused with the generic killers. The generic killers are often the emo characters with a jet black pelt and neon manes/markings. These characters are the "invincible" canines/felines with nothing to loose, they also often have the "my parents died in front of my eyes, and so did my brothers and sisters" bio.

But, people will do what they want, and as long as they are not breaking any rule will will just have to block or ignore.

Do you remember the username? I must steal this person. All Nightmare Before Christmas fans will be mine. And yeah, there are, but they usually stay in one map like TLK is in Bonfire and Fluorite and Warrior Cats and in private maps or Fluorite. But creepypasta fans don't roleplay that much really, they just get mooched by girls and get a lot of fame. My point is that they're everywhere... Can't walk in one place without being followed by a Slenderman.

I feel you man. I'm getting tired seeing all these stupid creepypasta fangirl pr0n stars everywhere. They are boring, annoying, overrated, and cheesyly written. Let them die already..

They're not really boring, annoying, overrated and all that stuff but they kind of do the same storyline every time. Some serial killer or something that has a weird background and kills people, the end. But I wouldn't really let them die. There are people out there who like creepy things such as this and they don't want that taken away.

Oh Lord, those characters. Every wolf and/or feline I see that wants to roleplay has a bad past like their parents getting killed or them being abandoned. There are barely any happy people.

I don't mind them being unoriginal. All my characters are unoriginal simply because I never feel like roleplaying with others. I may want something a certain way in the roleplay or maybe I only want Nightmare Before Christmas characters. But honestly, I just don't like roleplaying and I come on Feral Heart more hoping to make a friend.

Oh, and I hate those types of characters, too. You can be roleplaying with a person for two seconds and get into a fight and boom, suddenly you've been stabbed in the chest with a dinosaur. And yes, if they actually gave hints or put in their bio what weaknesses they have then roleplaying would be more fun  because your character actually has a chance of getting out of being stabbed in the chest by a dinosaur.

Yeah, luckly they arn't breaking any rules. And I don't see any running up to each other screaming that they copied their character. So I'm guessing they understand that they will see others of their characters.

Sadly no, all I know was that I saw this person in Cape of Distant Worlds in the evening/late afternoon. Like maybe 4 - 7 EST? Sorry I don't normally pay attention to others usernames.

I wouldn't count them as creepy. They are not even creepy anymore, since they have had it in the butt so hard by fangirls with problems to the extent. And I don't care about what people want to do on a small game, I just find it really annoying that they are roleplaying as these overused, stupid "creepypasta" characters. Am I allowed to have a negative opinion on this game, for once?

(Those images do give me the creeps and paranoia a little, still. .~.)

It's fine to have a negative opinion about something. No, they don't really seem scary to me at all but yes, as I used a super magnifying glass to read that some of the pictures can be creepy. xD But the whole plot or something is all the same and it gets a little boring.

I actually like some of the CreepyPasta stories... some. But I understand what you mean how it can get a little tiring when fans go overboard with it.... especially when it comes to the fangirls.

I have to admit that I think some fandoms can kinda wear a series out for some people with an overload of fanarts/fanfics that break the fourth wall. Many of the Creepypasta characters are supposed to be sick, twisted psycho killers who kill people for fun, or to survive. Yet, some "fangirls" make them out to be sexy, manly hotties that want to find romance wherever they go.

Take a look at these. These pretty much explain it. Pardon the foul language on there.

Now wait a minute! I was under the impression that he was called SLENDERman and not MUSCLEman!

I honestly don't really have a problem with some of the players of the game running around as these Creepypasta characters. They never really bothered me before. I once had a Jeff the Killer and Jane the killer in my character vault once. I never really did anything with them, so I deleted them.

True words my friend, true words. I always found it amusing when fan girls want a serial killer to break into their homes xD Characters that were meant to be scary now have fan girls... Not sure if that's a fail or messed up xD

I never really see the Creepypasta characters people play as kill anybody. All I really see is Slenderman buttswinging a rock and Jeff the Killer yelling at the Mate Center to go to sleep. Then again that could just be Bonfire...

Slenderman is the only one I actually cared to read about since I played the game. The game is scary to me because every time I try to turn because I met up with the fence he slaughters me to death.

But hey, he isn't that scary when you get used to him.

I won't kill you for liking Slenderman. I like Slenderman too. The only Slenderman I don't like is the big, macho, huggable sweetheart most fangirls make him out to be. I like the real Slenderman; the tall, SKINNY as a stick, creepy Slenderman that comes after you in the night.
