Dimfeather's paws kneaded at the wet ground. His pale eye surveyed his well known surroundings. Many of the dead warriors padded miserably through the dark woods hoping to catch a glance of preciois sunlight. Dimfeather swished his tail in anoyance. The were no apprentices of the living that the once great cat could turn.

The warriors den was eerily empty, or all was eerily quiet. She lay staring into the blank and dull space in the dens wall. Bored out of her mind. Her paws scratched the hard ground, attempting to entertain herself. The boredom had soon become too much, she lifted her body onto her haunches. Stretching as if she had awoken for a deep sleep, soon poking her head out of the den. Stepping out quietly, she padded over to the clan entrance. Sitting peacefully and undisturbed at the entrance. Thoughts had raced through her mind, confusing herself. "Perhaps I could hunt, we are in dire need of fresh-kill. Or maybe I could just explore, I am not sure." Ending the confusion Shadeheart chose to hunt. Trotting out of the camp entrance, dust flew up from each step.

Dimfeather's ear twitched. Day still swarmed over the territories. He was powerless then. He tried to figure what he needed to do in the forest tonight. After careful thought he chose to scout out the territories and get a sharper idea of what the clans' strengths and weakness were.

Brightpaw trotted out of camp. She figured she should help get some fresh-kill for the clan. As she rounded a few trees she finally heard some scuffling in the undergrowth. Brightpaw stealthily stalked forward and at the last moment, she lunged. She had killed a mouse and it was scrawny. She sighed and set it down, pushing some dirt over it before continuing on. When she arrived back at camp she had a squirral, a mouse, and a thrush. She took them all to the measily fresh-kill pile before picking out a thrush for herself and going to te entrance of the apprentices' den to eat.

Feralstar
Feralstar snapped awake. Small rays of sunlight managed to creep into the den. Quickly, she walked out of the den and leapt on highrock for a clan meeting. "All those old enough to catch thier own prey, come below highrock for a clan meeting!" She yelled. The dark tabby had some important news to share.

Dawnstar
Signs of sunrise woke up Dawnstar. She heaved herself up and licked herself. Afterwards, she stretched with her jaws open to let out a yawn and padded outside towards the fresh kill pile. Dawnstar picked out a plump mouse and walked over to the senior warriors to share with.

Razz
Razz could hardly sleep, as usual. His owner was very cruel, it always abused him. The poor Tuxedo was trapped inside a cage. But he always knew how to open it. Hesitantly, he sneaked outside. He sat at the wall, staring out into the woods. Razz always wanted to explore the wilderness. Many other Kittypets say wild cats live there. Someday, he will be one of those wild cats.

Brightpaw had just finished her fresh-kill as the leader called for a clan meeting. She gathered along with the rest of the clan and waited for what the leader had to say. Brightpaw sat down beside her friend, Fawnpaw. The two were very close, much like sisters.

Feralstar
As soon as everyone was there, the scarred she-cat announced, "I was on patrol with my senior warriors last sunrise," her nose pointed at the warriors she was with. "and we found an intruder on our territory. A kittypet! It got inside with it' two-legs before we chased him out. Now, I myself will deal with this kittypet." The dark brown tabby waited for agreement.

Dawnstar
After a friendly chat, the brownish grey tabby decided to go on hunting patrol with her senior warriors.
They reached two-leg place and spotted a tuxedo staring out in the wild. It was a tom with a rough and ragged blue collar. His tag was badly scratched and it said "R" on the front. A rustle sound was heard, the kittypet turned his head sharply. "Who's there?" He asked. A DarkClan scent drifted into Dawnstar's nose. She then realised it was Feralstar, DarkClan's leader. The FlameClan patrol kept cover. They saw the awful cat grab the kittypet by the scruff and dragged him away. The kittypet was much too skinny. "Unfortuant of that kittypet. Come on, let's keep going." So they continued hunting.

Razz
He was being cruelly dragged away from his home. Even though he hated being a house pet, he wanted to be free. The cat who caught him in the middle of the clearing. "Surround him!" It said. A she-cat! "Look! Didn't I tell you? This is our intruder! A kittypet! How disgraceful! This is our prisoner. Take him to the fox-dung into the prisoner's den!" Razz was then haued into a hole. It was steep, so he couldn't get out. Only another cat could get him out.

Brightpaw's eyes widened as she heard what the leader said. She turned her ead towards the kittypet when she saw him eing drug away roughy. She stumbled to her paws and looked up to the scarred leader. "Must you be so rough with the kitty pet?" She asked.

Feralstar
The leader's satisfaction faded as it turned to anger. Feralstar flashed Brightpaw a hard glance and replied, "Do you want to join him?" She impatiently waited for an answer.

Brightpaw narrowed her eyes. "All I'm saying is being rough with him won't help much." She spat. "I don't care if I have to join him." She said. "Why not stop being a piece of fox dung." She mumbled to herself.

"Oh ho! Look at this apprentice! Standing up for a kittypet! How ironic." She leapt down from high rock and dragged the apprentice into the same hole. "The meeting is dismissed!"

Brightlaw yowled and tried to get loose from the grip of the leader. She hit the bottom of the hole with a thud and hissed up at her. She looked over at the kitty pet softly. "Are you alright?" She asked licking her pelt.

The tom flinched when he saw another cat being dragged in. As she asked a question he replied, "Do you think so? I had a bad life with my owner and now forest cats?" Razz's scar was almost invisible in the darkness. He also noticed he was the skinniest of all the wild cats in the clearing. Why must my life be so difficult? He thought despairingly.

The she-cat pounced on a nearby mouse, soon killing it with a fatal bite. Quickly, she snatched it up in her jaws. She ran to the camp, entering soon after. An unfamiliar scent filled her nostrils, the stench of a kittypet. She padded to the fresh-kill pile and dropped her catch. A hole was set near the prisoners den, she stepped closer to peek in. Her eyes saw a black and white pelt, most likely the kittypet. But her glance soon carried her over to a fiery orange coat, Brightpaw. Huh, that's odd. She stepped away, over hearing their conversation. Choosing not to listen further, her paws carried her onward.

Brightpaw sighed. "What your twolegs are a problem? That's really odd." She said. "Sorry about Feralstar. She's a bit cold hearted." She said quietly. She glanced up and saw Shadeheart peaking in but soon left.

Razz was confused. "Two-legs?" He had never heard the word before, maybe it was just another word for housefolk? "Uh, you don't happen to be a wild forest cat, are you?" He spoke, changing the subject.

Brightpaw tilts her head then sighs. "Ya know two-legs. The ones who take care of you." She said then nodded. "Yes. I was thrown down here after I tried stucking up for you and tellinf Feralstar not to be so rough."

"Thanks! But you would-be up there if you didn't stick up for me." He mewed. Razz then realised this is where he belongs. In the forest instead of a cruel 'two-leg'. However, he didn't want to be in this 'prisoner hole'. "We need a way out." He spoke. "I know! We could dig our way out!"

Brightpaw's eyes widened at what the tom suggested. "That would be almost impossible. This dirt is like a rock." She pointed out. Brightpaw then thought about climbing out. The sides had small overhangs and Brightpaw could surely escape, but what about the kittypet? "Hey, can you climb?" She questioned.

"Yes. Of course I can climb!" He replied to the she-cat's question. It was obvious that she was thinking of climbing out. "This hole can't keep us in forever." Razz mewed.

He nodded in reply and waited for night to creep in. Cold, he tucked his paws beneath his chest. At least he won't be beaten up by his owner. Razz was safe, that's for sure.

As soon as it was moon-high she brushed her tail on Razz. "It's time. I'll go first then I'll keep watch while you climb up." She whispered and jumped up, unsheathing her claws to get a grip on the hard dirt. She clanbered up and climbed out lookig down at Razz. "Come on." She mewed and turned to keep watch.

Brightpaw nodded as the kitty pet climbed up and whispered. "We need to head to the old badger set a little ways away." She whispered and bolted out of camp. She turned to see if he was following as she made it to the badger set. Brightpaw slid inside easily and shook out her pelt. The badger set was quite parge and was big enough to hold the two. She scented the air and could smell the very faintest scent of badger but it was clearly stale. "We should be safe for a few days down here then I need to take you home when I know It's clear and safe." She said then added. "If you want to go home...My name is Brightpaw by the way." She said
