Title: Crashing instantly!

Hi, whenever I open up FH, the black part before the Kovo logo/linework shows up, FH crashes, I havnt downloaded anything, only exported a map/been doing map making, anybody help please? .-.

Have you tried changing your rendering system?

It only gives me 1 choice of a rendering system D: (OpenGL)

This is really usual problem. When you export a map it creates double particles.
all you need to do is delete them for that go to: FHfolder-media-particles
and delete all the files that have _0 or _1 or _2 at the end of them.

I did do this, there was a few, but it still crashes? But insted of offering OpenGL as a rendering system it went to the Direct one.
*Edit - Nevermind, went back to only OpenGL again

Are you sure you put the map in the right place when you downloaded it? If you didn't it could do some stuff to the game.

I didnt download any map, only exported one in map maker... and im pretty sure it only exported in FH>Exports .-.

Delete it and see if it works

Ohh you have to be 100% sure you deleted all of them.
Also you might want to check your fh-media-sky folder and once again delete these: _0 _1 _2 _3 ...
After that might be useful to check my objects folder too. and once again delete the _0 .....

Sounds to me like it could be a glitch. Try moving the files you created out of the Feralheart folder to elsewhere and then open it. If that works, then you know it's one of those files that is causing the issue. If the problem persists, you may have to make a backup of all your custom files and reinstall the game. Happened to me a while back and a reinstall fixed the problem.

If it only lets you use OpenGL, try doing this to change it to Direct3D9 rendering system:

Go to your FeralHeart folder and open the ogre.cfg file. You should see: (as the first half)

Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem
[OpenGL Rendering Subsystem]
Colour Depth=32
Display Frequency=N/A
FSAA=0
Full Screen=No
RTT Preferred Mode=FBO
VSync=No
VSync Interval=1
Video Mode=800 x 600
sRGB Gamma Conversion=No

What we want to change is the first row. All you have to do is change the Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem to Render System=Direct3D9 Rendering Subsystem. Boot up FeralHeart, and it might possibly work. Please keep in mind that this mightn't be correct. Otherwise, I would suggest doing what Sarah said, (and what all the others said) because one of the map files might be the problem. Anyway, I'll keep this mind and sniff around to see if there is any other way to fix this.

Sorry I wasnt able to reply, I had a power cut in the storm last night.
I didnt find any solution, so I just re-installed and it's working fine now x3
