Title: Preset Help
Post by: Bananas. on December 27, 2013, 05:07:34 am
For some weird reason whenever I download a preset it never lets me use it. I apply everything correctly but I can never see it. That or it never works. Why is that?

Hmm, is it a wearable preset or a .fph?

A .fph is the download that allows you to see the maker of the preset's preset. It is unwearable.

If it is a folder that actually contains preset parts, put them into C: >>> Feralheart >> my_presets > (PRESET NUMBER CORRESPONDING WITH THE NUMBER)

It should work when you go into the preset maker on FH and export it. Once you export it, you can use it in game.

EDIT: Also make sure there is a .mat in the download. Without the .mat, no preset will work.

When you download these presets do you see several files or just one file? If you only see one file that's probably why. If it's one file it's most likely just their preset's fhp file so that you can see them with the preset on but you can't actually wear it yourself.

I think it was just 1 file and they are all png pictures o.o

I'm a bit confused. Were the .png(s) actually preset parts like the head and the body? It were they just random pictures? Was the file in there a .mat (Looks like a piece if paper or a notepad) or a .fph? Right click, go to properties and post here~

If they are just all .png(s), then that is not a complete preset. ALL presets must have a .mat to work. (You can wear them)

Just a .fph is NOT wearable. You can only see the preset on the person who gave ya' the download.

Well you're saying there's just one file but that they were all png pictures which means that there are more than one file. Try looking at this tutorial;

It offers a visual reference of what Alpha is saying. Double check that you did all of that.

If it still isn't working link us this preset.

thanks for that. It does have a material file and those, but I just can't see presets for some reason.

Hmm, are you sure you are exporting it to C: >>> Feralheart >> my_presets > (NUMBER OF PRESET)? It should be working.

If it doesn't, try opening your .mat with notepad and look at the names of the textures put in thar. Also, in the .mat, make sure all the textures end in .png.

Could you put the link from were you got the preset?

Not sure about the others, but I downloaded the Lucario one, and as you can see from the .material file, it is set to be preset 1.

So, just copy all the files, and paste them into
C:\FeralHeart\media\my_presets\preset_1
Once you've done that, you'll need to restart FH, and then head to Preset Maker.
Click Preset 1, then export.

Exactly what Ruby said. When you export it, you must click replace.
