Title: A map killed my game.
Post by: Smokingdeck on December 28, 2013, 03:21:34 am
I have looked through the Help section for this problem but I cant seem to find any topics about it.

I have been working on this map for awhile, it is almost done so I decided to export it with another map to see if the map worked properly, but then when I shut down FH to bring up a new window, when it reaches the title screen of FH, it suddenly crashes. I moved the map files (not the export ones, just the map ones) and then re-downloaded the game, and everything worked fine until I put the map files back in place... I exported another map before, with all the same items and textures, just different height map and stuff, so I wouldn't think the items have anything to do with it..
(I also kept all of the Object, Particle and Sky files that I had before.)

I don't want to have to remake the entire map, so I'd appreciate it if someone could help me figure out what the problem is.

Hmm have you tried checking your particles folder? Sometimes duplicate particles cause these crashes. Delete any doubled particles that end in weird numbers like _0 or _1 etc

I had gone through my particle folder earlier, but instead of looking for _0 and _1 I was looking for (copy), so I missed them! Thank you so much, LordSuragaha, you saved me!
