Title says it all. I can tell its not by date, nor is it alphabetical... How is it sorted? Ideas?
-
I'm honestly at a loss for this myself sir. Perhaps it's situated at random? If not that, then perhaps by what character ye' use the most. Although the second suggestion seems a bit doubtful, ehheh, it's still a general idea.
Again, mainly I perceive it be utterly random via organization and order. I could be wrong however.

I noticed when I made new characters (and I had a total from 1-7, roughly) that whatever the front character is for now (Lets say.... F) is sittin there for 2 more charries. A and Z (Next to charries) go on either side of F. A on the left, Z on the right, and then Q (our third) will replace F and F will be behind A?
I kinda noticed this. ... I pay too much attentionish.

I am actually stumped on how its done. Though Ocean's idea, Though a bit crazy, sounds close...?

Most of my new Characters end up on the left of the first character when I log on. But, it is actually sorted randomly, no pacific way.
-
I've tried to figure this out before.
And really, I couldn't.
It seems however, the majority of the characters I make end up right behind my first character (like, if you click the arrow once to the left after the first character you see the new character).
I really have no idea, though. It would be nice if we could sort our characters using the character control panel on this site, but without the source code I don't think that will be happening.

I've noticed that my 3 wolf characters are all on the left side of my character selection, and then all my feline characters on the right... I don't know how it came to that though XD And when I make a new wolf character it goes on the left....weird.
I had to delete a character one time and make an exact copy...doesn't seem to be random though because when I finish the clone, it's in the same place as the old character. This may just be for my game but who knows.

(I think) Its like this....
Newest | 2nd Newest| 3rd Newest | 4th Newest
And so on.
Now, because it run in a loop, your oldest character is the 1st on the left, so you could also say
4th Oldest | 3rd Oldest | 2nd Oldest | Oldest | Newest | 2nd Newest| 3rd Newest | 4th Newest
Until they meet in the middle.
BUT, if you click "create a character" anywhere but the first one, it will be placed before the character you where just on. EXAMPLE: (if you had been looking at 3rd newest when creating the charcaterer)
2nd Newest | Newest | 3rd Newest | 4th Newest
Over time the order can get really messed up due to that^^

It seems completely random on mine.

I think MochaCocoa is the closest. I haven't really noticed, apart from seeing that my newest char always ends up on the left if the first click. (I usually make my chars as soon as the menu opens.) But whenever they didn't do that, I did this:

So, now to test this c:
