Hello guyse.I have a problem now with the game FH.It keeps crashing when I open it.
It's something like this:

And it is annoying because I also changed ogre.cfg in this

Have you downloaded anything recently? If so, that could be what's causing the problem. Go into your particles folder and delete any files ending in _0, _1, etc. Also, where exactly does the game crash? When the game's starting up? At the title screen? When you're trying to connect to a map? It would be helpful if you gave me a little more details.

Look at this, perhaps.
Solution 1.
Try opening the game up as an administrator by right clicking the FH icon and selecting 'Run as Administrator'.
Solution 2.
If you can get to the home screen then select 'Options' >> Video >> Rendering subsystem >> Direct3G9. Once you have done that, restart your game and if it hasn't taken effect - then restart your pc as well.
Solution 3.
If you can't get get to your mane screen when you load the game up, follow this:
Open up your FH folder found in Local Disk (C:). Once you have opened up your Feral Heart folder look for a .CFG file that says 'ogre'. Open that up in note pad or any other word document.
Delete everything that is in there and replace it with this.

Press save and try playing FH.
Solution 4.
Make sure you have no double particles. Check this by going to Local Disk (C:) >> Feral Heart >> Media >> Particles and check if there are two the EXACT same. If there is, delete one of them.

Hmm, it is know for particles to sometimes show up in other FH folders. ^^ I'd try searching in there.
Also, if it still crashes, try reinstalling FH. (SAVE all your presets and maps!)

Ok well this was on Thursday.I joined on FH but it directly crashed.Also,i checked out for the problem because it was kinda annoying ya kno'. So what I found is that,feralheart is not compatible.Um what?It worked before,and I have window vista Service Pack 1...I don't know what's happening,I'm thinking about leaving FH forever,but I still wanna play it for my friends and stuff....

What happened ??? It WORKED BEFORE. And now,my friends are saying it's a virus or I should repair my pc.I can't really do this right now

Hmm, I found this and it may help.
Follow these simple instructions, and you'll be able to remember them every time you want to start up an incompatible application.
> Firstly, right-click on the incompatible application and move your cursor down to Properties
> After clicking Properties, click on the tab marked Compatibility
> On the Compatibility tab, tick the box marked "Run in compatibility mode for:", and select Windows XP Service Pack 3, or earlier if this also refuses to work.
I'm not to familiar with this problem, but FH may have just installed wrong, or something triggered it to give you that problem. Really, if what I quoted above doesn't work, the best you could do is reinstall FH.

I also tried that but still won't work.
I reinstalled + I installed the FH patch...but it won't work. Is it good what appears in my ogre.cfg?

Ah, I think I see why it's not working. Don't install the patch! Uninstall again and reinstall with ONLY the ORIGINAL FH. :3 Also, your Orge is perfectly fine. I'll edit this when I think of another possible solution to your problem.

It still crashes..even if I installed the original FH...this pisses me off so badly...

Where does it crash exactly? Before the title screen, at the title screen, or after the title screen? (After title screen means character selection, heading in-game, etc.)

Yes it does,sometimes and it crashes again at the beginning of the game

Oh well if the game crashes then it could be a problem with your username and password. Does your username and/or password have symbols like %,&,#, etc? If so, the game doesn't know what to do with these kinds of symbols so your best bet would to wait for registration to be open and make a new account. This time, try to stick with the alphabet and the numbers above the them. Good luck on your new account floof.

As soon as I open the game, it comes up but its just a black screen, won't go to the main menu and is freezes my computer SO bad that the mouse vanishes and I can't even access my task manager to end the program, I end up having to do an emergency shut down by holding my processor button in.
I'm having the SAME issue as this user and nothing I do will work. And also, I had this game installed in this same computer only a little over a week ago and it worked fine.
I uninstalled because I was annoyed about being banned and figured I'd reinstall it later. If I had ever known it would have been this much of a headache...someone has to figure out what's wrong. PLEASE help!
