How Do I get more objects for my map, How do I get water? The water is so confusing to me so how do I do it? And How do I get those Animal figures for my maps? And is there any more Cool objects I can get? if so how do get them?
-
To get new objects in your map, you first have to download an object pack from the Mods and Addons section of the forums. Save them to your desktop, then export them to C: >>>> Feralheart >>> media >> objects > my_objects.
Next, go to the map maker in game, load your map, and test out the objects. ^^
If you want water, in the map maker, there is a button called ocean. Check it, and water will appear. (I think it's called ocean; I'm not on a PC)

I was wanting little ponds just to put around the map, How do I get those?

It all depends on your greyscale/hightmap. If you edit your greyscale/hightmap and place black splotches throughout the maps, that's where the little ponds will appear.

What is Greyscale/Height map?
-
Here's a tutorial that explains what it is thoroughly:

I think you should look at some tutorials first. Here are some from the FH site:

I don't really want mountains in my map, Is there anyway I can get water without making a heightmap?
-
All maps MUST have a hightmap. It is necessary. ^^
-
Well, I don't want those mountains, I just want a flat map with lakes and ponds and those animal objects, But it seems there's no way I can get water without having a heightmap.

You could make the map all one color with splotches of black for lakes. I'd be a flat plain with areas for lakes then. ^^
But ALL maps have a hightmap. Otherwise, it wouldn't work.
-
How do you get those splotches? Everytime I tried to do them no water appeared at all
-
Just make the maps all one light grey color, and then put black dots around the map.
Then, go into the map maker, load your map like in that tutorial, and click ocean.
-
You know the Lion King? I was thinking of making the pridelands realisticly, But your confusing me a bit

Oh, the lion king should have an easy layout. Just go into Gimp and do exactly what the tutorial I gave you says. All you need to do is just but pure black spots where you want, and that's where the lakes/watering holes/ponds will appear. You could also create cliffs by putting white or another light grey. ^^
Birdi's links will also help. I could get you some more tutorials in needed. ^^
-
Where do I find GIMP?
-
Gimp is needed to make maps: Click Me. (http://www.gimp.org)
-
Well I can't download that right now due to being on a mobile device, But thanks! I'll do it later.

Sure thing. ^^ Gimp is a free alternative to Photoshop, and other programs like that.

You have to use a heightmap to create dips in your map. Look more on the tutorials that were posted, and it will show you how to create dips in the ground.

Can somebody post the link here to the topic with the download link for the map items?

o-o You don't? Hmm. Here's a quote from another thread:
There's two ways on how to download objects, depending on if they're grouped or not.
First, find a object/mesh you like. Click the download link, wait for adfly, and download it from Media fire or whatever file sharing site it is. Once it's finished downloading, click the file and Windows Explorer will pop up. If there is no file that is an object file, drag everything into Local Disk(C)>Feralheart>Media>Objects>My_objects. Then, start Feralheart and go to Tools>Object maker. Type in the mesh name and it should come up. Remember, Object maker is CASE SeNsItIvE. So that may screw it up. Then, save the object in a group. Name it whatever, but don't make it too long.
Now, do the same. Download the object and click on the file. This is for if there is an object file. Drag all the meshes and materials and etc. into the same spot as before, but put the Object file in Local Disk (C)>Feralheart>Media>Objects
It's strange you don't have that folder. I don't know to much about that, but you may have to reinstall FH. But I'm not to sure. ^^ Just try this quote.
