Title: Terrain help
Post by: balsam on February 14, 2014, 02:03:52 pm
Hey everybody :3
I just made a terrain, but i made a terrible stupid mistake. I'm quite happy for the terrain I made, and don't wanna lose it.. The problem is, i forgot to made it to a, how is it called, grey scale? So everytime i get on feral heart map making, write the terrain name, the game crashes.
Is there any possible way, that i can make the terrain picture to grey-scale? Without making a new one? Btw; Using Gimp
Thanks for reading this :) Hope some of you can help me.

I'm afraid you'll have to re-make it. :/ As farest I know. Also it needs to be 513x513.

Open the heightmap in GIMP and go to Select >> All. Next, click Edit >> Copy or something along those lines.
Open a new file and make it 513 x 513 and greyscale this time. Click Edit >> Paste and then make sure to anchor the pasted layer.

I hope this will help:
Open new GIMP 513x513 in greyscale. Then open your picture in other gimp and copy it and paste to new gimp you recently opened. Hope It will work, It did for me o3o

These should help no matter which type of computer you're on, as long as you're using Photoshop or Gimp
