Title: FeralHeart.exe still isn't working!!
Post by: SandShark on March 10, 2014, 09:02:25 pm
I've already made a thread about this but people aren't being to helpful with it. I've tried everything it says with what they've given me, I've downloaded feral heart before but I had to uninstall and reinstall due to other issues and now anytime I try to install it, the C:/FeralHeart/FeralHeart.exe file corrupts or isn't working. Can someone be a bit more helpful with this.. I know it's not my computer because I've downloaded the game fore and I'm on an administrator account on my laptop.. -.- This is becoming highly irritating...

Try to download it somewhere else, Instead of C:/ Drive.
If you have any kind of Anti-Virus, Disable it. It might be eating important files that require FeralHeart to run.

Did you try changing the rendering system?

This can be caused by many things:

- Make sure you're using an English keyboard and don't click any foreign symbols/letters.
- Make sure your connection is strong and try using FH as the only program open.
- Go into C: >>> Feralheart >> media > particles and delete any ending in _0, _1, and so on.
- Change your rendering system by doing this:

Method number 1~

First, go into C: > Feralheart. If you look at the FH main folder, you will see a flie called:
'orge.cfg'
Click it, and open it with 'NOTEPAD'.

Look at the first two lines in the orge.cfg file. That is where you change your rendering system.

If you followed everything that was typed and the instructions in the pictures, you should have successfully switched your rendering system.

Method number 2~

Turn on FH!
On the main screen, you will see this:

Click options, and go to video. Click 'Rendering System.'

Then just simply switch your rendering system.

Note that sometimes method 2 doesn't awlways work- That's why I listed the orge.cfg file first. ^^

Good luck! Hope this helped those who don't know how to change their rendering system!~

Try to download it somewhere else, Instead of C:/ Drive.

I'm not so sure about that one... I'm pretty sure that how the game's .exe works is through targeting the C: drive, but correct me if I'm wrong.

What exactly does it say when it says it's corrupted?

I'd recommend using another browser for the download, and maybe check your firewall status. Sometimes the download becomes corrupted when many people are downloading the game at once.

I've already tried saving it to the D: drive but it still doesn't work. I've done everything and I can't switch the rendering system because there's still one problem.. I can't even get the download to work, and I've tried every single browser on my laptop. IE, Firefox, and chrome. NOTHING has worked. >:(

Go into your particles folder, and delete anything ending in _1/_0
I belive particles dupe themselves are known to crash maps, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was crashing your game.
Did you disable your antivirus?

When you uninstall the game, make sure you delete EVERY folder.
Then re-install. Even if you are logged in as administrator, you should always right click the installation and choose "Run as administrator"
