Title: Feralheart not starting up.
Post by: wolfgirl71 on March 17, 2014, 10:05:25 pm
Well, I' not sure why this keeps happening.
I open the feralheart icon and it comes up as Feralheart.exe has stopped working. I'm not sure why this keep happening when my friend is on and playing, so I know it's not fixes or the game is down. Plus, it's says that the game is online. I am wondering what may be wrong. Prior to this I was finishing my map that I was doing and was uploading it for others to use. (I tested it in game prior to this, so I think it's fine). After a couple tries, I re-downloaded the game after uninstalling it. I re-opened it and the same thing. (Feralheart.exe has stopped working) I updated my computer even and still nothing. If you guys could help me then that would be awesome.

This can be caused by many things:

- Go into C: >>> Feralheart >> media > particles and delete any ending in _0, _1, and so on.
- Change your rendering system by doing this:

Method number 1~

First, go into C: > Feralheart. If you look at the FH main folder, you will see a flie called:
'orge.cfg'
Click it, and open it with 'NOTEPAD'.

Look at the first two lines in the orge.cfg file. That is where you change your rendering system.

If you followed everything that was typed and the instructions in the pictures, you should have successfully switched your rendering system.

Method number 2~

Turn on FH!
On the main screen, you will see this:

Click options, and go to video. Click 'Rendering System.'

Then just simply switch your rendering system.

Note that sometimes method 2 doesn't always work- That's why I listed the orge.cfg file first. ^^

Good luck! Hope this helped those who don't know how to change their rendering system!~
I'd also recommend searching particles in your PC. Particles can find them selves in other FH folders sometimes. Also, try only keeping FH the only running browser.

I did all of the above, and I still get that "Feralheart.exe has stopped working". I have never had this happen. Do you think I should try re-downloading FH once more??

Try backing up all you're needed files from FeralHeart, And delete the FeralHeart folder in C:/ and reinstall?

Try uninstalling again, but make sure the whole FH file is deleted. You can uninstall in the control panel or clicking "uni000"in the FH main file.
Make sure you save all presets, maps, etc, somewhere else when you reinstall!
Also, redownload the setup, don't use the already existing one you have. :)

Glad it's working for you now! :) And I'm afraid I do not have a DA anymore, but you can add me on FH! My user is AlphaEclipse. :3 I'm in-game right now.

I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic but I just noticed that Baltowolflover had said the same thing that AlphaEclipse had said before her and didn't get any credit.

Just saying.

I thought of the same thing, but A this person helped me before the other and B she gave it in much more detail for me to understand.  Detail is key to most things, even when you are explaining a simple topic.
