Title: How do you download a preset?

Once upon a time someone told me how to download a preset, but it was so confusing i only downloaded something (not exactly sure what it's called?) that helped me with textures on your/other characters, making them more advanced and nicer so they don't look as confusing. however i've been looking forward to downloading a preset for a while and i need descriptive directions to how to do that.

so-- help, please? C:

Scroll to the bottom where it says "How do you use a preset made by other members?"
This is not much help at all, sorry.
