Title: {Hunted} | Coyote RP | Open

Where do you run
                                        When you are

                                                                                                                                        Hunted...

The marshy swamplands of Western Florida hide a living secret. A creature once thought of as a symbol of the Western United States has recently expanded its range- and has now claimed the oddly comfortable wetlands of Florida as its home. The coyote. In the species' newfound home, it thrives, amazingly. The swamps not only provide a steady source of food- be it the fish, insects, birds- or even the many cattle ranches which during certain times of the year provide large meals of newborn calves. The coyote quickly adapted, and these few nomads now call Florida their home. However, there are many humans who are not happy- with the predations of not only small livestock, but household pets skyrocketing since the arrival of these canids. In fact, there are virtually no humans siding with the swamp's new inhabitants- and they want them gone- be it extermination, or relocation.

Plot
You are a coyote living in the Floridian swamps, whether you are one of the original arrivals, or one raised from the newer generation here, it's your choice. Every day gives you a new plate of choices. Making the wrong one will cost you your life. The swamp itself, while it is naturally warm and cozy, provides its obvious dangers. The deep mud can easily get a light creature such as yourself stuck, and result in starvation or predation. As well as the alligators who naturally call this place home, and wouldn't think twice before snagging an easy coyote meal. Not even a mile outside the swamp lies a small suburban community of houses, and beside that is a large cattle ranch and pasture, along with a decently busy road. Humans are the enemy. Though some of the newer generation may have yet to learn that.
Your goal? Survive. Find a mate, start a pack, do.. coyote things and raise some cain in them human establishments. >;3

Your Home:
The swamp has its many charms. Lots and lots of "fresh" water is one of them, along with its steamy, warm climate. There's a lot to explore and do around here, be it climbing across fallen logs, rock hopping, or even playing chicken with an alligator. While there is a lot of water, most of it is rather shallow, but there is a good amount of dry land, so no worries. The food found here ranges from fish, already dead carcasses, insects, birds, and maybe your occasional alligator hatchling if you're brave enough.

The Suburbs:

This decent sized suburban neighborhood lies just outside of your swampland home. It, along with the next door cattle ranch, is the only human subdivision around and is brand new. It provides tons of opportunities for food and mischief. Trash cans here are the easiest way to find food, as the humans often have delicious leftovers. If trash is hard to come by, wandering house pets or even leashed ones can sometimes be a good, but desperate option. However, it has its dangers. Be wary of the main road, people tend to not have good attention on the road, and casualties are frequent. Not only that, but if you are caught wandering the streets boldly, the humans will often take either fearful or violent action.

The Ranch:
The cattle ranch brings many thrills for a young coyote. Most times of the year it's only good for trash pickings, or mischief makings. Until Spring rolls around. This is when the calves begin to be born- and is a coyote's favorite time of the year. The young calves are normally small and easy to distract and take down with team work. Because of this, the farmers are on a stricter watch- as are their dogs. Beware of the rancher and his dogs. If you are seen on the property, or even near it- you will be shot or shot at. No in between, because a good rancher doesn't take risks.

Management Programs:
Due to the rapidly growing population of your kind, as well as the threats you pose to the ranch and suburbs, the humans often put together "management programs." This is simply a pretty name for open season. Certain times of the year- for some people (called poachers), all year- the local government allows an open coyote hunting season. This is when most of your kind is killed off. This time of year is dark for you, and you must be constantly alert. Leg traps and snares are to be avoided, as they will lead to a broken limb and, if you don't escape them- death. Humans, at all times, are to be avoided for safety purposes- though this rule won't stop some youngsters from investigating. Coyotes are hated in this area. Because of this, you are always persecuted.

Can you survive?

Rules:
1.] Be literate- no one liners.
2.] Be realistic- know your animal's natural traits, behaviors, and physical limitations.
3.] You may have as many characters as you can handle
4.] If you really want, you may have a NPC mate/pups, played by yourself, or have someone else apply to do it. Up to you.
5.] Haaave fun. o3o

"At the End of the Day There's Another Day Dawning."

Name: Manasa

Age:  3 Years

Gender: Male
Personality: Manasa is a bit of an adrenaline junky. He lives for the thrills, and enjoys taking risks. He lives up to his breed's reputation at being troublesome- as he is often causing mischief in town or at the ranch. He loves to screw things up, and tends to cross the line of daring to entertain himself in ways such as chasing the cattle, strolling through the suburbs, and getting into anything possible. Yeah he's gotten kicked or shot at a couple times, but just loves causing trouble far too much to stop. While he does make dumb decisions human-wise, he is actually incredibly street smart and knows how to look out for hunters and dodge leg traps. Manasa has quite the bit of a temper. Though he's usually very relaxed and careless, it doesn't take much flak from others to tick him off. He hates being told what to do, and does what he wants. He tends to be a little self centered, and only looks out for 'number one.' He can come off as snappy or sarcastic, but once he warms up to others he is very friendly and humorous.

History(optional): Manasa is a coyote of the newer generation- meaning he was born and raised in the Florida swamp. Growing up here, he was taught and learned all the ways to live in such an environment, and knows very well where to find food and what to avoid. During open season, Manasa's mother was killed, and on their retreat so was his father and other sibling. Manasa managed to escape the season by hiding out inside the tall root shelter of a cyprus tree.

Accompanied by(family/friends):  None.

"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light"

Name:  Sven

Age:  6 Years

Gender:  Male

Personality:  Generally social, Sven isn't shy and may just stop by for a small chat. In a past experience of solitude, it began to grow on him and began to make him yearn for company. Though, he is wary when it comes to those who seek personal space and will not bother them unless its a life threatening situation. He keeps an open mind but is still ever-so cautious in sticky situations. He can become hostile to those who suggest unnecessary violence and disturb the innocent. Likewise, Sven will always rush in to help those in need of help or be the first to volunteer. His many years of living in the swamp provided him with good strategies and tactics when dealing with the dangers of the swamp.

History:  Sven is the younger bunch of the original coyotes who arrived at the swamps some time ago, driven by hunger and the threats of humans. His own mother had 'disappeared' in the wake of terror when the humans began running them out of the land they once populated. He was taken under the care of another female coyote with pups nearing his age and raised him like her own. Sven was barley out of puphood before his tiny soft paws that were once used to dry grass and thick leaves had been dampened by the moist banks and sloshy muds of the swamp. At first it had been difficult to adjust to the somewhat foreign terrain, but in time he and those who looked after him adapted. The change in prey had been most challenging of all as well as the fear of the scaled creatures of the muck.

As time passed and Sven reached his maturity, he strayed away from his adopted family and began to live on his own. In solitude he built upon survival strategies that came about and grew into an independent phase. He became selfish and territorial to others of his kind to neared him, sending them off with spitting threats. It wasn't until he met one particular female that his heart melted away the ice barriers that had enclosed it. Her name was Ara, and had swept the young Sven off his feet from the moment he met. Like Sven, she had grown up in the swamp, but had been on her own since the very beginning and was keen on teaching him a few things. Ara taught him how to see a whole new side of life. He had been heartbroken the moment she was struck down by poachers.

Now, though it was several years ago, he continues on mourning her death in silence. Mostly desperate from a loss of companionship, he developed a friendly side and enjoys social nature. Sven is always wiling to lend a helping paw or even let those who are unfamiliar to the lands come to him seeking helpful advice.

Accompanied by:  He is currently wandering on his own, but this is open for anyone who wishes to accompany him.

Extra:  Lives inside a small sheltered space under the crevice of two rocks.

"You're feeling nervous, having your doubts. Don't be embarrassed if you don't fit in the crowd. Keep standing tall and hold your ground. Show them its not ok to let them kick you down.."

Name: Riana

Age: 3 1/2 years

Gender: Female

Personality: Riana likes up to the typical Coyote breed in looks but also her personality. Like most Coyotes her favorite thing to do is cause trouble and tourment others-especially humans and ranchers. Ria often wonders around throughout the day causing mischief or basking in the warmth of the sun, she will rarely venture from the forest until night-and when she does she causes havok, knocking over trash cans, breaking into houses, shops and even tourmenting local petsn also teases the alligators. Riana is a very social animal who will get along with anyone unless she feels a negative vibe between the two, she also loves to prnace around weather it be climbing, taking a quick dip or hopping across rocks and logs. Riana is very adventurous Ria is very playful but does have a temper when provoked, although she is pretty tolerant.  Riana is great at giving advise and has a soft spot for kits and the older generation-when getting to know her you'll see she's a bundle of fluff but a force not to reckon with with her sharp tongue and ferocious behaviour.

History: Well, Riana doesn't really have much to tell about her past as nothing eventful really happened. Ria has always been part of Florida and was obviously born here as a pup, since spending a few years here Riana has figured out the rights and wrong of living in the busy suburbs along with her fellow species. Growing up she had always been mischevious causing havok in the streets receiving many abusive hits and being shot at but this didn't stop her. Ever since this has made her wonder into the streets as she likes the buzz that fills her body but also has more opportunities for her to get into trouble.

Riana has wondered into the ranch a few times and rarely escaped. She was shot at which skimmed her neck, then a dog was sent after her. Riana had a lucky escape and ever since was been wary wondering into farm lands. Now Riana is a healthy young Coyote living around the swamps.

Accompanied by: No one she travels alone.

Extra: Nothing extra

~ Vi'deam ~
(http://oi58BannedImageSite/jafdqs.jpg)

Vi'deam awoke to the all familiar sound of croaking, toads were just another source of protein for him. Just the thought of protein made his stomach groan. He raised his crown towards the clouds, and opened his opticals. It was clear that he couldn't see from the left side, there sat no pupil. He was born with such a flaw, and though he hated it, he always remembered mother telling him it was a special gift from god. Well, then mother died, and then god vanished too, as Vi'deam would say. He had never really took time to pray, nor look for god in any way. He simply remembers mother's super christian ways, and how she always spoke to god before sleep, or even before she went out scavenging. He never got it though, because each time, she came back empty handed.

Vi'deam shook off the thought, and his gray paws lifted him up, revealing his ears and eyes to the UV rays of sunlight. He squinted, and flicked his left radar. The scent of toad built stronger in his nostrils. He shook his rough sandy-mixed fur and threw himself onto the small patch of land that supported his favorite boulder. The water was quite shallow for the next mile or so, but only grows deeper as you go further. Any path he knows is practically full of mud traps, but he prefers it due to less poaching, not a single man wants to hike out in the swamps to catch a single coyote. The male pointed his one good optical forwards, and the sound of croaking rung his ear drums once more. The frog was close, and it was big too. He managed to grasp a visual of the green amphibian, and lept forward. He relied only on his good paw-eye coordination when it came to hunting, and he had skills. The sound of croaking turned into cracked silence, and the coyote stood, toad in his maw. It wasn't his favorite meal on the menu, but he was willing to eat anything at this moment, after not eating at all yesterday.

Only minutes later the frog's only sign of existence lay inside Vi'deam's stomach. He licked his chops and sat against the gray boulder, his legs dripped with brown water. The sun only beamed enough to hit the top of the boulder, and did him no good while on the ground. He learned to get used to wet paws, it was something that he had to adapt to right away. The male closed both eyes, and leaned all weight against the rock, conjuring up his next move, and which trail to take today.

"Marching out of time- to my own beat, now."

Manasa

The sound of gunshots split the otherwise quiet morning sky of the Wetlands. Down outside the barbed wire fence of the local ranch, a slim coyote scrambled in serpentine motions- a limp chicken hanging from his jaws- one of the cattle ranch's few free roaming hens. The canine flicked a large ear backwards as a bullet whizzed by. Damn this guy's got bad aim. the male thought to himself with a snicker as he made a break for the cover of the swamp up ahead. Behind him, he could hear the mad barking of the two farm dogs who usually helped with the herding and guarding of the cattle, though they didn't phase the cocky coyote by now. With a swift leap, Manasa sprang and dove into the safety of the Cyprus trees, his small paws slamming down into the marshy ankle-deep swamp water with a wet thud, splashing the mud up to cake his thick chest fur. After taking a few strides farther in, he halted, knowing the dogs would never dare enter the swamp without their master- who Manasa could hear back at the ranch madly shouting curses. A smirk spreading the male's maw, he turned forward and pressed further into the swamp- a place he was proud to call home.

Trudging through the sludgy marsh that often sucked at his paws with each step, Manasa carried the flopping lifeless chicken in his jaws, leaving a subtle trail of feathers in his wake. He was much relieved to come across solid ground again, and didn't hesitate to scamper out of the shallow muck. A Cyprus log felled across the deeper water marked a landmark near his established home. Hopping up onto the thin log, the canine trotted boldly across, his claws making faint scraping sounds on the old rotting bark until he reached the other side where he leaped down onto the leaf-littered earth. A large above-ground rooted tree marked the end of the road. It was here, nestled safely in the tall strong roots where Manasa felt comfortable enough to call home.

He paced in a few slow ritualistic circles near the back of the hollow 'den' before finally plopping down onto his belly, resting his spoils at his forepaws. With his side to the back wall of his uprooted shelter, Manasa placed a paw on the limp hen and began to pluck the few remaining feathers with his incisors until the poultry was suitable enough for consumption. While he knew he wasn't really a picky eater, he'd found he prefers the more difficult to obtain food items to the easy pickings of your simple frog around here- it brought more satisfaction at the end of the day. Licking his chops, Manasa wasted little more time before diving in to his home meal of raw chicken, not caring for any mess he made in the process. Not like he'd have company anytime soon, anyway, so why bother with manners?

"Hope is a waking dream."

Quick Info
My name is Rien. I am five years old, and I am of the male. I have been drugged and tagged by scientists.

His paws trembled as he nosed through the garbage. The vile scents swirled together, breezing into his nose and clinging onto his fur. Rien wasn't worried at all - what he cared more was to find food. His ears flicked as a few insects hummed around him, but he ignored them and continued to rummage. His eyes gleamed with delight as he noticed a bright object, lying nearer inside the garbage can. He shuffled closer, sticking his muzzle inside the container, releasing his tongue as it swiped against something salty. His tail perked with interest, and he pulled the stalk out, and crunched on it. Salty flavor flooded into his mouth, and his taste buds danced with delight as they consumed the flavor. His eyes widened at the new taste, and he immediately ducked his head to check if there were more. Only three stalks remained, and Rien quickly gobbled them down without any hesitation.

Swiping his tongue over his muzzle to collect any strayed bits of food, he stared wishfully at the packet, which had held a delicious meal. He wished there had been more for him to consume. However, he was thankful that he had at least got something down, and had not been disturb at the moment. Bending down, he stuck his tongue out and swept it around the packet, collecting tiny salt grains and the oily liquid which stuck to the sides of it. He was slightly surprised at his behavior - usually he wasn't this excited about a type of food like this.

It would be nice to know what this is, he murmured to himself. When he had finished, he shoved away the bright packet, and continued to rummage around for more food. Something bright and flashy caught his eye; he glanced over towards it, seeing a bone-like material, and curiously headed over towards it. Dirty smeared the sides. Thinking it was food, he snatched it in his jaws roughly, eyes widening at the squeak which erupted from it. He quickly released it from his jaws, and backed away.

"The stars'?" He muttered, tilting his head to stare at the strange object. Whatever it was, it definitely was not edible. With a cautious step towards it, he swiftly slammed a paw down onto the bone, making it squeak again. His eyes narrowed in suspicion. Was it alive?

His thoughts were interrupted as the noise of a door slamming shut darted into the open air. Alert, Rien's head jerked up, ears perked in alarm. A young child thumped down the steps of his house, blabbering a few words, with anger swirling in them. The human boy seemed not to notice the coyote across from him, in his neighbor's lawn. Locked with fear, Rien remained still, watching the child with cautious eyes. Suddenly, the boy looked up - staring directly into the eyes of the coyote. The human's jaw dropped in surprise, and his hands released their grip from the straps of his bag.

"M-Mommy!" the boy hollered,. He dropped all he was carrying - and bolted for the door.

Hesitating, Rien wildly glanced around, before darted forward and snatching the strange object by its end. With a sharp turn, he tried to sprint over to what he called "home", but his paws slipped on the garbage. Thus, he slipped, sprawling onto the ground, with the object still latched tightly in his jaws. The door of the house reopened, and instead of the boy emerging, a large, bulky man appeared, carrying a black stick in his hands. His cold eyes meet the coyote's, and tension crackled in the air. With a snicker, the man clicked the stick, before aiming it directly at Rien. Before he knew it, the trigger snapped, and a sharp noise pierced the open air. Right behind the coyote, the black stone slammed into garbage can, causing a dent to form on the metal. At the noise, Rien let out a frightened snarl - and darted off.

He could feel the stone rushing straight at him, and as he glanced to his side, he noticed it. With a abrupt stop, he stumbled, tumbling to the ground in attempt to avoid the attack. A grunt escaped his jaws as he felt something sharply graze his left ear. When he was sure the black stone was gone, he rose himself and continued to amble towards the safety of the trees. Branches whipped past him as they clawed harshly at his fur. He tripped several times, but regained his balance. When he finally inhaled the familiar scents of his home, he abated somewhat, before flopping down with exhaustion near the fallen trees, where he called home. He was embarrassed - he had chickened out back there with the humans and the black stick. A low sigh came from him. With a trembling paw, he rasped his tongue over it. The strange object laid in front of him as he began to nurse his wounded ear.

Riana

"You're feeling nervous, having your doubts. Don't be embarrassed if you don't fit in the crowd. Keep standing tall and hold your ground. Show them its not okay to let them kick you down..."

The beautiful and relaxing sound of the birds singing in the trees caused the young Coyotes ears to swivel around in every which direction as she listened to their relaxing song-her tail tapping gently across the ground in a quiet rhythm. Sudden beams of lights shone onto the eye lids of the female causing her to silently stirr then give a brisk shake to her head. As usual all seemed quiet and none of her species was in sight. Although at times Riana wasn't very social she did dislike the fact of now having any company around. Shrugging she lifted to her slender legs, her soft pads pressing against the rouch surface of the uneven rock-her whiskers twitching as she took another glance around. Quickly she leapt from the rock.

Riana seemed to always walk with a straight posture, and her tail followed neatly behind as she trudged along through the swamp. Unlike most Coyotes she didn't mind getting her paws muddy and infact it was one of her favorite things to do. Ruana had always been on the more tomboy side and would often be found jumping in rivers or rolling through mud-many would look at her in disgust but what did she care she was having fun. As a light breeze ruffled her fur it carried many scents along with it, ones she recognised as humans, food and of course other Coyotes. But with the groans of her stomach that took over her thoughts her intentions were more on searching for food. So she did.

As the birds continued their song Riana contined her journey through the forest in search of food, her paws quickly tapped at the ground as she weaved in and out of trees-her senses seemed hightened as she was in the zone of hunting. Being close to the suburbs you couldn't help but hear the constant beeping of car horns, humans shouting or the local pets making their usual noise which kind of destroyed the beautiful songs from the birds. The scent of what seemed like a bird caught the Coyotes attention causing her to pick up her pace. Soon she would have a delicious meal.

(I've never actually roleplayed a coyote before, and this looked interesting.)

"Lies can both save you and drown you."

Name
Kaos

Age
3 Years

Gender
Female

Personality
Quite the Sass queen. Kaos follows her name - She's chaotic, mischievous, devious, sarcastic, selfish and cruel. Or, at least that's what others view her as. She's not worried about danger and doesn't fear death, for she has come into close contact with it far too many times. Nobody would really call her friendly, more of rude, unresponsible, disrespectful, etc etc. She turns a deaf ear to all these insults. However, despite these bad qualities, she's actually pretty quiet and doesn't bother others if she has no need too. She isn't shy though, and responds with her own sarcastic, sassy little remark, and that alone sometimes is enough to irritate anybody. Kaos herself can be irritated as well - She dislikes others in close proximity, gets tired of dumb pups, and people who can't seem to stop talking. This coyote's also gone a little nuts in the head, as some would say, because she sometimes happens to mumble to herself, words piling on top of each other quickly, often too fast for anybody to understand. When she does this, she has a little faraway look on her face, but speak to her and it's gone as fast as a frightened rabbit.

When she's angry, she doesn't respond with violence as most others are to do, but rather with words. Her words become more cutting and hurtful than ever, and she tends to insult that one person who has angered her a lot. She mostly holds a grudge, but doesn't let anybody know that. Her own emotions are kept inside, only showing this mask that she's wearing. She does actually show compassion and worry, though seldom, and it comes in strange, weird forms. She doesn't know when to stop when provoking others, but she's actually intelligent and clever, which is why she's escaped danger and death a thousand times, and fooled others even more. If you want to come close to her, here's a hint - She gets confused heavily if somebody still acts compassionate to her even after knowing all that she's done, and will be prone to do.

History
Fairly simple. Her mother gave birth to a small litter of 3 near the ranch, and one supposedly didn't make it after getting killed by the dogs at the ranch for being too slow. Her mother, like her, was cruel and unsympathetic, yet kind - She didn't make any exception towards her weak pups, and didn't bother to save that one pup. Kaos and her young sister survived and made it until they grew, whereas their mother suddenly chased them out and away from her. They soon found out the reason, for she was killed a day later by a poacher who was tracking her, and their mother simply wanted to keep them out of harm's way. Afterwards Kaos found her sister as a burden to her and tricked the younger to go to the town with her words, after which she left secretly and wandered around without anyone else.

Accompanied by(family/friends)
None. She's a lone coyote.

Extra
-She can swim pretty well.
-Another reason why she's called cruel - She eats just about anything, from a decayed dead bird to dog or cat pups. When she's really starving, she starts to go after coyotes, her own kind.
-She has a small scar at the side of her eye. Hardly able to see.

[This application looked weird to me. Tell me if I need to change anything.]

"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light"

A deep yawn came from the furred canine deep within his sheltered rock. The pale milky light illuminated patches of his grayish-brown pelt, warming his groggy body. He had been drifting in and out of sleep for most of the morning, and felt content enough to stay in his shaded shelter for the entire day. It wasn't until the hunger pains began clawing at his stomach when the coyote stifled a groan and popped open his golden orbs, fully awakening from his slumber. He ears twitched at the sounds of the morning becoming more audible. The distant chirping of birds, splashes of the creatures lingering in the water, the crackling of broken twigs- It all flooded to the male's ears like an endless stream. Sven rose to his paws that were caked with crumpling dry mud from the previous day and scattered the dead leaves that were hopelessly littered around his sleeping place before pushing himself out of the opening to the rock. He couldn't ignore his stomach forever.

A full blast of sunlight rays hit Sven as soon as he stepped through the entrance. The coyote let out a sneeze, squinting his eyes in the bright light that was partly hidden behind the tree tops. He tilted his head in surprise, as he noticed his companion, Torshe, wasn't sitting outside his 'den'. He wasn't a usual early riser in the morning, and typically found the younger coyote up before him. He chuckled to himself sniffing the area around the rock shelter for any sign that the female had been here earlier that morning. "Perhaps she went to look for food, wondering what has become of me," said the grayish-brown swirled coyote to himself as he brought his muzzle close to the dampened grown around him. Or, Torshe was off on her own for the day. Or still snoozing away like he had been. All were likely answers for the female's whereabouts. Especially since they had roamed around a lot the previous day, later being chased by the stupid mutts of the ranch with their lolling tongues and one-goal mindsets. They had escaped just in the knick of time before their obsessive barking alarmed the humans. To them it was more of a game, rather than a threat. It was apparent in their ogling eyes that never drifted away from the target for a second. Sven always assumed they were given some sort of reward for chasing them off, a way to celebrate the small victory. Why else would a creature who was supposed to be some distant cousin of theirs want to lick Man's feet forever? The whole concept seemed strange to the coyote.
Huffing, the male took several small hops to leap up onto the surface of the rocks that made up his 'den'. He nosed the broken twigs and sticks, pushing them off the small boulder to make a comfortable spot for himself. Sven had decided to wait a little while longer for the female incase she was around and planned to arrive. Maybe they could hunt together later, if she hadn't done so already. He tucked his paws under his body and wrapped his furry tail around his side to rest it under his nose. His lids began drooped down, half closing and would flinch at the occasional growl in his stomach. The sun just felt so good on his fur, and he couldn't seem to resist bathing in its glory. He had a feeling Torshe would stop by soon, and slowly began to wonder what the two would do for the day.

Kaos

Sharp, amber eyes carefully watched the small structure sitting on the ground, the large, attentive ears of the coyote perked up high. The female had already went around this large house twice, always peering into the windows to check. Either the owners of this building were out, or sleeping, for she couldn't see them. Now, though, her attention was more focused on the dog kennel at the backyard. Or rather, the small, meek sounds coming from it. With a small smirk etched on her features, the coyote finally left the safety that was behind the white fence, easily squeezing through a gap in the gate like a snake, albeit slowly and cautiously - Lest she awake the mother dog sleeping nearby.

The knife-thin smirk widened as Kaos moved along the perimeter of the yard, sticking close to the walls of the fence and far from the adult dog, who was situated on the porch. Her gaze flickered between the kennel and slumbering mother, always pausing whenever the canine shifted just a little. That was bad - She was going to wake up sooner or later, if Kaos guessed correctly. The coyote mumbled a small curse under her breath, eyes narrowing. With that, her steps became more hurried and rushed as she quickly made her way to the kennel, successfully not waking up her potential predator.

When the coyote finally reached the door to the kennel, She gave one last glance to the mother, before sticking her snout into the small door. Her attention rested on the little squealing pups - A litter of seven. Perfect. The pups weren't too young, but their eyes were still unable to open - Which was good, but they could still clearly scent that this was definitely not their mother. Before anyone of them could cry out for their dam, she hurriedly snatched up the fattest one, then without further ado, retreated out from the small doorway and bolted to the fence. As she did, she caught a quick glance of the the mother waking, letting out a loud growl and a bark when she noticed the slim coyote with one of her pups already dead in it's mouth.

Kaos stopped just near the gate, eyes still trained on the dog with a smirk. As predicted, the mother immediately got to her paws and ran after her pup's murderer, all threatening and baring it's teeth and whatnot. As the dog got closer - Now running as fast as her legs would carry her - Kaos finally moved, running towards the fence and jumping up, her hind legs catching on the tip of the fence and using it as leverage, kicking on it and pushing herself a distance away from the fence, just in case. It was satisfying to hear a dull bang where the mother hadn't managed to get across the fence, followed by a series of angered barks and snarls. It didn't deter Kaos one bit as the coyote laughed through the limp body in her jaws, running across the street without even stopping to look about. She just barely managed to slip through passing trucks and cars, tail tucked close to her hind legs until she made it to the other side of the street. This wasn't new to her - She had recklessly ran across the street a bunch of times, though sometimes she was unfortunate, but today she was lucky.

She gave one last glance behind her, mischievous eyes meeting enraged ones from across the street.

"Why not show-ff while you still can? Not like we're gonna last long anyway.."
Name: Killion

Age: 2 Years

Gender: Male

Personality: Killion, at first, may seem secluded and unwilling to meet you, but that's because he's just shy for a moment before starting to be an egg head. After a while he'll begin to be playful and childish, but he's just young, what do you expect? He doesn't know much about the humans except that they should be avoided. He's very mischevious and will often get caught on the ranch, nipping at the cattle. He's also a show-off and loves to do just that. The older males will often get laughed at by the older males while he tries to impress. If he happens to impress even one female, he'll end up doing something else stupid and being laughed at but that never damages his pride. Due to his past, he often has moods, consisting of hatred or sorrow but either way, stay out his way.

History(optional): He was born in the swamps with two siblings, Dakota and Jasper. He and his brother Jasper often get into things they aren't meant to and always enjoy it. Only a year ago, he and Jasper were out messing with the cattle when a rancher came out along with his dog. He had a gun and the dog was already after them. As instinct the two bolted but out of the blue a loud bang erupted into the atmosphere, causing Killion to yelp realizing that a bullet ripped through his right ear. Just as Killion and Jasper were close to the fence, out of nowhere the dog came out and took down Jasper. Killion imediately turned and attacked the dog but wasn't capable of killing it, all he could do was chase it off. He was heart broken as he carried the limp body of his dear brother back into the safety of the trees. He was blamed for his brothers death, even by his own sister. Now when Killion does something stupid they remind him of his brother to make him feel bad but that only angers him.

Accompanied by(family/friends): He isn't accompanied by anybody but Dakota. His brother and mother have both died and he has nobodyt he would consider a friend.

Extra: He has only half of his right ear.

"Normal is boring, be yourself and live life to the full!"

Name: My name? I go by Mishka.

Age: Erm, why? Well I might as well tell you, I am 3 years, still growing.

Gender: Well I thought it was rather obvious but as your asking im a female..

Personality: Mishka is a fun, loving kind of girl who would do anything for fun. She would do any dare and she does live life to the fullest. Sometimes her outgoing nature can be dangerous to her and others around her. She normally acts before she thinks normally leading to something stupid! She can be quite argumentative and will never give up in a fight. But once she meets you and you become a trusting friend she can be so protective and will not let you do anything stupid that can hurt you. If you brake the trust of a friendship with her, theres no going back. She can be very unforgiving even with her own siblings. She normally is quite friendly, and loves to socialize with others, especially if they have the same personality traits as her.

History(optional): Mishka was born 3 years ago on a warm spring morning. She was born with her two brothers and one sister. One little pup was the runt of the litter, very weak and fragile, this was Mishka. Her mother, Naomi, thought she wasn't going to make it. But she was strong for her size and made it through the worst. Most of her siblings hated her as she got more attention as she was sick and tiny, but her brother, Major, always was by her side, looking after her when she most needed it. Her father, Ranger, left when the pups were around a year old and were about to leave the pack. Mishka and Major decided to go together, their bond to strong to part. They went far from there natural habitat, and into the Floridian swamps. They realised it was dangerous but it was a nice place to live. Now they are still together, and just explore the home, even though some bad stuff are lurking around.

Accompanied by(family/friends): Major, a three year old male coyote who has the same traits of her sister but he isn't a dare devil and more of a wimp and way to protective over his little sister. (Only seconds apart from birth but Major acts like Mishka is only 1).

Riana

"You're feeling nervous, having your doubts. Don't be embarrassed if you don't fit in the crowd. Keep standing tall and hold your ground. Show them its not okay to let them kick you down..."

The slender canine continued to hurry through the forest, each few steps she took the scent seemed to grow stronger-her stomach now rumbling more than earlier and this seemed to cause a slight pain the run through her body. Stopping for a moment Riana gave her body a light shake then setting off again. Fragile paws tapped against the forest floor stepping on twigs causing them to crack-but that didn't cause her to lose focus. A stern gaze remained across the femalea face as she came to a sudden stopiyhere it was. Crouching down in a near by bush Riana examined to bird for a while.

From what she could pick up the bird seemed injured, a wing injury in fact. A grin quickly formed across her face as she glared at the bird, this was sure to be an easy meal-although it may not fill her she knew it would keep her going for a few hours. With the birds continuing their songs from high up in the trees and the regular sounds from the suburbs also came as an advantage with the wind blowing in thr opposite direction.

Clumsily the feathered best turned in ther opposite direction with its back facing the Coyote, grinning Riana crouch low-her stomach almost touching the ground. With her focus not locked onto the flightless bird she krept forward. Small paws carefully touched the grount. Now being close enough Riana sprang forward. Before the bird could react Riana had already snagged the bird in her jaws and managed to clamp down onto the birds neck. Blood had now filled her maw from her kill the bird now hanging limply from her paw. Quickly she set off with her kill.

Quick flashes of green darted out of the way as a row of teeth snapped at them from above, Paws splashed through the small pond soaking the bank and sloshing the water into a muddy brown. The coyote managed to catch one frog in her jaws by its legs, quickly gulping it down while the others retreated to the safety of tall thick reeds. The noise died down and the pond grew still as the sun rose, sending bright splinters of sunlight through the trees, and the act of catching frogs proved to be a bit too boring for her tastes. Calli shook out her fur and splashed back to shore, catching a last look at the pond where her den was sheltered under a downed tree nearby.\

A measly bullfrog hadn't satisfied her hunger completely, and the small snack wore off as she trudged to the edge of the swamp, her belly growling in protest. A Field of tall crop swayed in the wind, and across it sat an old barn that shadowed a chicken coop structure. She plunged straight into the field, sprinting fast across it that the weeds whipped her face and she had to squint her eyes. At the edge there was the stale scent of dog, as if he had been patrolling the edge of the field last night, and the chicken coop was in her sights only a few paces away. Trusting that the dog was far gone now, she lept up and stalked across the stretch of trimmed grass to the coop, where the scent of bird was strongly wafting from. She had in mind exactly what she wanted and stepped lightly to the door, big white shapes huddled together uttering quacks and dabbles inside, and nearby a nest filled with eggs. At first, she quietly crept in but as the enticing smell grew closer and closer, she snatched an egg that barely fit in her jaws and ran out with it. The angered wails of geese rose from the coop and she was surprised to see that not one dog ran around the corner of the barn to chase her when the coyote looked back. Instead, an orange bill snapped at her tail and she sprinted back towards the swamp, losing the bird easily in the grass.

"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us."

Quick Info
My name is Torshe. I am four years old, and I am of the female. Sven is my companion.

The light and brown mud splashed over the grass as clumsily paws sloshed through it. Torshe raised her head, directing all her attention onto a small frog, which remained still on a large rock. Her paws trembled as she placed them on the log, smearing the dead bark with dirty mud. She carefully placed her balance onto the fallen tree, determined to make a breakfast out of the frog. Her stomach was like a young coyote, demanding to be fed at once without any delay. She had tried to mentally shush her stomach, but it ignored her, continuing to bawl. At this moment, Torshe had stumble upon the frog. Upon seeing the sight of the prey, her stomach immediately stopped, as if quieting down in attempt not to alarm it.

Her claws dug into the soft bark. Carefully inching her way up, she balanced herself, before glancing at the frog again. It had moved to the next rock, but still had not noticed the clumsily coyote. She shot a curse at its move, but quieted down later. Her ear twitched as she crouched down, her attention diverted from the sounds and movement around her. To her, the noise and scenery around her seemed to die down - all but the frog. Time seemed to slow down.

Her hind muscles tensed as she bunched them, collected strength from behind. She would then jump and snatch her prey. It was all so simple and easy. She could do that, for sure. It was easy. Easy, she murmured to herself, reminding herself that she shouldn't fail. Easy and simple. Determination swept through her as she applied pressure to her hind legs, before letting out a small breathe. With that, she jumped. Her body sailed through the air in one swift motion, before it abruptly slammed into the hard rock. A strangled yelp escaped her at the impact of it, but one paw managed to clumsily close around the small frog. A croak escaped the creature, before it remained still.

Thinking it was dead, she carefully peeked under her paw to examine it. Nothing happened. Beaming with triumph, she lifted her paw up, bending down in attempt to scoop it into her jaws. Suddenly, the frog twitched, before darting and throwing itself into the murky water.

"W-what!" Torshe, without thinking, dived into the water, creating a noisy splash to occur. Suffering to the top, she heaved for air. Her paws flailed wildly as she tried to swim, but her body kept on sinking. Coyotes could swim - why couldn't she? Her paw brushed against something solid, and she immediately pressed her two paws onto it. Heaving herself onto the ground, she remained there for a moment, before picking herself up and shaking out the water. So foolish of her to think she could hunt. Foolish of her to think the frog was dead. Foolish of her to swim.

Tail down in embarrassment, Torshe stood there - watching the swamp in attempt to search for any sign of the frog once more. Maybe she could try again. She didn't want to go back to Sven, certainty not wet and miserable.

"Dream as if you'll live forever; live as if you'll die tomorrow."
Name:
Lilliana, usually goes by Lilly.
Age:
She is 4 years old, still quite young.
Gender:
Female

Personality:
Lilly is somewhat pretty much the opposite of what the stereotypical characteristics of a coyote has. Her first impressions lead people to think she is a shy, mysterious and strangely sweet female. She isn't one to draw attention to herself, but likes to keep a conversation going if she is spoken to. She can be quite humorous, up for a laugh almost all of the time. Despite this, she can handle tough situations well and is extremely intelligent when it comes to thinking on her feet. Towards threats, Lilly uses her sharp tongue by firing cutting insults. She is always quick to apologise no matter if her words were justified or not. When it comes to males, her soft, shy side shines through and is a bit of a hopeless romantic, falling head over heels with the person she thinks is 'the one'. Although she is very smart, Lilliana is not the strongest of creatures and often finds herself cornered. She is although extremely loyal and will find bravery in the most frightening of experiences.

History:
Lilliana was an only pup when she was born, very quickly adapting to independance as her father left her and mother to fend for themselves. Despite the dangers of the swamps, Lilly's mother left her alone constantly to find food for the youngster. As the harsh times where humans were at their strongest approached, her mother became gravely ill and died during the cold winter months. The pup soon grew thin and weak, but life clung to her like a disease until she finally pushed through the period of time where she grieved her deceased kin. Ever since then, Lilly has been living alone left with the guilt of her mother's death and her survival.

Accompanied by:
No one, at the moment. But she is looking for someone to travel and share her 'adventures' with.
Extra:
~ She likes to leave her mark wherever she goes, maybe scratching an 'L' on a fallen log.
~ Lilliana knows how to read the human language.

Kaos

Kaos finally moved down the grey pavement slowly, tail lazily swishing back and forth as she laid a deaf ear to the angry and saddened barks that were echoing away behind her. Of course she wouldn't stay in this human town, she would rather return to the swamp with her small meal than stay here an hour longer. A sigh escaped the coyote as she turned a corner, into a narrow lane that lay inbetween two large houses. It wasn't a shortcut, actually - it was longer than the normal route, but far more secretive, it wouldn't be easy to get spotted by humans and whatever would kill her. As Kaos continued to move, her slow pace begin to change to a slightly faster one each step, until it became a small jog.

She still had to prepare for the oncoming open season, still had to find a 'new' hiding place where it was near food and far from the humans. Or maybe just far from the humans. She could just collect food just before the season so that it didn't rot... Like a rushed hibernating squirrel. She chuckled to herself, before she stopped just near where the town led to the swamp, looking back at the human's territory and staring for a moment, quickly remembering where she went to and how she exited.Kaos always did this, just in case. She couldn't afford to get lost anywhere. The human town was her source of food, while the swamp was her source of shelter. To be unable to find any one of them would be a horrible disaster.

She mumbled what sounded like ancient words to herself before she made her way down the hill to the entrance of the swamp, amber eyes following any small movement of any creature near the dark trees, wondering if she was lucky enough to catch any other food. A dead, plump pup was good for a meal - certainly better than what she received nowadays - but it was just a small pup, not a full adult dog, and it would never satisfy.

~ Vi'deam ~
(http://oi58BannedImageSite/jafdqs.jpg)

The sandy colored male flicked his radars in annoyance of the swarming mosquitoes. It was one thing he really regretted about living deep in the swamps. He let out a sneeze, and opened his orbs to the sun. He lifted his maw to the air, and rose his haunches. The strong smell of many coyotes slightly intimidated him. It was often, but he rarely ever encountered too many at once. The brute looked to his right, focusing his one good eye on his favorite trail. It was a short lived walk, and it lead right to the outskirts of town. Vi'deam took a deep breathe, and convinced his feet to move into the water. A few paces to the right, and he was on dry-ish land. It was very muddy, and there is usually never a time when Vi'deam's coat is clean. He didn't mind, nobody around to impress anyhow.

The sound of sloshing mud echoed in his own ear drums. The mud jumped up and clung to every blade of fur, from toe to belly. He always knew he had to move fast, or he was sure to start sinking. He threw his crown to the air and let out a yip. His pace moving faster and faster. It wasn't long until he had reached the destination, and he could see the lights of town beaming  bright.

He slowed his pace and quietly trotted towards the back of his favorite building, the famous McDonald. It was right on the edge of town, easy for a hungry coyote to steal from the dumpster out back. Vi'deam camouflaged himself in the shadows of tree patches. His legs felt hot, and the mud had already began to dry and pull at his sensitive skin. He let it annoy him, for now, there was no time to stop and clean it off now. The threat of humans has always been something he feared the most, but he was still starving, and it was all he could think of. He wasn't always the best hunter, due to the bad left eye.

"Marching out of time- to my own beat, now."

Manasa

The young coyote calmly tore into his meal of stolen hen- the self-plucked feathers scattered around him like evidence for a crime scene, to which he payed little notice. The white plumage scooted along the leafy ground, blown gently by the breeze until a few of them made it to the black, murky water not far off and began to drift away. Through the scent of the blood from his meal, Manasa could notice the faint scent of  canines- a musky scent which had to be that of a fellow coyote. Instantly he became somewhat fearful of losing his meal, letting past experiences with a couple scavengers of his own species rule his judgment. With little more hesitation, he ripped more fresh bloody meat from the bones of the hen, eating rapidly until it was gone.

With his hideout being not far from the end of the swamp- the cattle ranch lying not far outside- Manasa could easily take notice to things going on. Now that he had finished his meal, leaving little more than a blood stain and a few bones, the male rose to his paws, licking his bloodied maw as nearby footsteps caught his surveillant ears. In the distance he could make out the faint tan-furred figure of an apparent coyote weaving through the trees and mud, but it was too far to be of concern. Suddenly, a loud splash near his hallow tree hideout made him spin around. Filled with curiosity, he clambered up onto the fallen log bridge that lie just above the murky waters and connected his small "island" to another piece of dry land. Standing alert, Manasa's golden opticals swept the dark surface of the water, searching for the source of the splashing sound. An amused chuckle escaped his throat at the sight he saw- a drenched female coyote dragging herself up out of the dirty water and a frog triumphantly hopping away.

"Heh, just learnin' how to swim, huh?" Manasa cackled as he stalked across the fallen log and flopped down onto his belly, casually letting his paw dangle from the edge. "Or are you just bad at hunting?" The smirking male added, tail swaying nonchalantly as he peered down at the soaked female on shore below

Riana

"You're feeling nervous, having your doubts. Don't be embarrassed if you don't fit in the crowd. Keep standing tall and hold your ground. Show them its not okay to let them kick you down..."

With the dead bird hanging limply from her jaws Riana continued her way through the fores-carefully weaving in and out of trees leaping over fallen logs on her maw. The scent of many other Coyotes wondered into the females snout causing her to stop for a moment and glance around, it had been a while since she had seen any of her species let alone smell one-although she wanted to take this chance to engage with others like herself she turned down the chance. Having food would only make the meeting more of a fight or even the possible chance of her kill being stolen. Giving her head a shake the mixed-coloured canine set off once again-her small paws gently thudding against the foliage of the forest as she searched for a place to eat and soon enough she found one.

Riana had stopped not to far away from the swamp water but far enough from the town. Taking a quick glance around her surroundings all seemed clear, so she dropped her kill besidee a tree stump. But, as a easy gust of wind passed it carried the strong scent of Coyote's which were obviously near by-allowing a growl to escape her maw Riana soon turned her attention back towards her kill. When it came to food Riana seemed to be most protective and agressive not because she was spiteful but because food was pretty scarce around here and she needed everything she could get. Allowing her lips to fall back over her large fangs the she-Coyote lowered her head towards the feathered carcass.

She didn't take no hesitation and began plucking away at the bird, pulling out many feathers that quickly surrounded her-them being mostly a mix of grey, white and black. It didn't take long for Riana to have toe bird plucked and was now surrounded in a bed of feathers, but that didn't bother the slender canine, brushing a few feathers away with her paw she took one more glance around-but still she could see nothing. Slightly rising her shoulders in a shrug she turned her attention back onto her meal-now she was ready to dig in. Parting her jaws the mix-coloured Coyote lunged her head towards the freshly killed meat, her sharp teeth piercing the skin with ease-along with tearing apart the flesh. As she continued to eat small specks of blood began to stick onto Rianas lips, small amouts also taking place on her legs. It wouldn't be long until Riana will satisfy her hunger, for now.
