Ok, so I just started playing Feralheart, and after about 2-5 minutes of playing, a message pops up saying "Feralheart has encountered a serious problem and needs to close".
I use a Mac computer.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
-
Did you restart the game?
-
Hello,
I encountered that problem before, a few months ago. I'm not sure if my suggestions will help since that was a long time ago. As Kelsey said, try restarting your game. Did it say anything about troubleshoot? If it did, you might try to open up your troubleshoot if it's a option when the error happens. Try changing your Feral-Heart rendering system into Direct3D9 not OpenGL.
Tell us if it worked for you~

It does not mention a single thing about troubleshooting (at least I don't think, as I remember that last time it said "Details" and "Close"), and every time I restart the game (If you mean as in "close out and open app again") it gets worse (Now it crashes after I select my character). I'll try changing the rendering system thingy. Also, now it doesn't have the window popping up on "Feralheart has encountered a serious problem and needs to close", but it just crashes straight away.

Try to look through your textures folder and see if you have any textures with _0 or _1 next to them. Delete them if you find any.
-
There isn't a "Direct3D9" or any files ending in _0 or _1.
-
Try reinstalling.
-
reinstalling right now.
-
Reinstalled, and the same thing is happening. Some sort of whine thing is messing it up...
-
I'm afraid I can't help you. I'm not experienced with Macs. I use Windows.
-
Did you install the MAC download for Feral-Heart? If you didn't, that might be the problem. You mentioned that it said details when your Feral-Heart crashed? Try opening up the details option. If you don't mind, it would be nice to know what it says when you open up the details option.
-
I downloaded the Mac download, let me copy and paste what it says in details...
-
It said a TON of stuff, but for some reason it won't let me paste it :'(
Most of it were numbers that made no sense...
-
mm.. that's strange. Maybe try again tomorrow? I'm sorry but I don't think I could help you, I use windows and I never had a MAC before. You could install the Torrent version of Feral-Heart but I don't think that will help.
I'm sure experienced MAC members will respond to your problem.
Good luck and I hope your problem gets fixed!~ <3

Wait, did the Mac download work?
-
If you mean that it opened, it opened, but the "Feralheart has encountered a serious problem and needs to close" window has returned.
-
Ok, update. I just searched for "direct3D9" on Google, and all that popped up were Windows Downloads, so I opened up Feralheart and SUDDENLY the rendering system changed from "OpenGL" to "Direct3D9" even though I have not downloaded Direct3D9...

...Did your game work anyways?
-
This is usually just a Wine problem. My Mac FH crashes like every 5 minutes ;-;
If you run Feral-Heart and it asks you to update "Gecko" or something, make sure to do it ;D If that dosent work:
1. Check your particle folders for any dupes
2. Make sure your computer has enough RAM
-
How do I update the thing to Gecko?
-
...Did your game work anyways?
