Ello,
So, I recently changed from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (I don't have a Mac) and now when I try and open Blender I get
"This app cannot run on your PC".
What should I do... I don't know how to downgrade my driver, nor how to make it compatible with my PC. Is there an earlier version of Blender that works with Windows 8, or something I can do so Blender'll work? I'm not changing my Windows back, so it's gotta be Blender that changes. c:
Please help.~

I use Windows 8.1, and Blender 2.49 works fine on it. Maybe try that one. I use that specific version of Blender because there's a way to get .mesh files for making Feralheart objects.

Maybe you're downloading the wrong one for Mac or Linux?
Works for me pretty well on Windows 8. It may not work for you, but it's worth a shot. ;)

"blender-2.49b-windows.exe" Would be the one to get. And no problem. C:
Most if the other links there wouldn't work because that download wouldn't run correctly.

I believe this needs 'python' to run as well... I'll try downloading the 3.4.0 version of that too.
And I'll just stick the links to the Blender download here, in case someone needs 'em.

The latest version is not compatible with my computer unfortunately - I tried 2.57 after trying 2.70 and for some reason they disagreed with my machine. I don't know why - I would LIKE the latest version, but for some reason... NOPE.

The Blender 2.49 is working, sorry if I was unclear. I DID actually retry Shell's link (It was different to the one I first used) just then and for some reason 2.70 still doesn't like my PC. But 2.49 is working fine, and that's all I really need!

It is a bit odd - it could just be my particular computer. If I find a solution I'll post it 'ere for those who need it too! And thank-you - I'll do my best to understand all the buttons. o-o
