A while ago you could either "nuzzle" or "bite" someone. When you bite someone you'd get - 1 floof. ^^
Addin' the same answer but a bit more explained.
I remember nudgin' Ms. Allegra about the same question. I was rather curious how it was possible and she told me that way back in the earlier years, back when FeralHeart was still in its "newly released to the public" stage, there was not only a Nuzzle option but a Bite as well. While Nuzzle is used to +floof those who have done a good deed(s) around the forums, Bite was used to -floof someone who have done somethin' either looked down upon or unneeded. However the Bite option was removed due to users abusin' the option just to -floof those who didn't deserve to have a floof taken away. Therefore, we are left with only the Nuzzle option and there are those who still have that -floof count that we may come across every now and then.
Hopefully I answered yer question efficiently.
