Title: Tedious menu selection using the touchpad

I am using Windows 8.1 on an ASUS laptop. I use the touchpad to make selections and move the game cursor.

I am going to run through an example to demonstrate what I am experiencing. Say I boot FH and load the main menu. If I double tap Options, the button turns darker brown. If I tap it again any number of times, nothing happens.

But if I use the touchpad with clicking (pressing down to make left and right clicks), I only need one click to make a selection.

I am wondering of anyone knows a FH (not PC) setting trick to be able to make selections using just taps vs clicks? I don't remember having this tap issue on my old laptop playing FH, so I am going to look into my PC settings to and see if that is the problem.

I might be the only one finding it difficult understanding what you mean, but..
Is it possible for you to submitt screenshots here so it's easier to see what you could mean?

Try not to double-tap the button. See if tapping it once will make it work instead. On my laptop, double clicking with the track pad causes whatever I clicked to be hi-lited rather than selected.
