Title: The Plague Is On Its Way (Wolf Roleplay)
Post by: rustheart on April 25, 2014, 01:17:17 pm
Humans have gone too far and created a plague that can turn a person into a zombie like creature.  For years humans tried to fight it but they were killed off by their own creation.  But now other animals are in danger.  Now that it has finished off the humans it is after new prey.

Setting
You are a uncontaminated wolf out to find the one safe place.  This is a large cave system inside a mountain that humans never found and never brought the plague.  You must fight off the contaminated and survive the natural world on your own.  Unless you can find some trustworthy packmates.

Rules
You may have as many characters as you want, just make sure you can control them all.
Hate the character, not the player.
Realistic characters only, no powers.
Contaminated are hard to kill, no one shots!

Name: Nik
Gender: Male
Age: Young Adult
Appearance:
Nik is a skinny and small brown wolf with cream patches throughout the brown.  He has a white underbelly.  He walks with a limp because he was born with a broken leg.  His back left leg, which is discolored, is broken and healed wrong so it often holds it up.  He has bright green eyes.
History:
Nik was born into a pack with strict rules and if someone disobeyed they were banished.  His father was the beta and was in charge of making sure everyone was following orders.  One of the rules was that if any runts or weak pups were born they were to be abandoned.  So when Nik was born he was thrown out into the wild even before his eyes were open because he was born with a broken leg.  It was expected for him to die, but he was taken in by a Lynx and cared for in her litter.  When he grew older he left her but one of his adoptive brothers came along with him whose name is Marv.  Nik cannot stay in one place for long because he was discovered by his old pack.  His brother, Flaire, and his father, Nixon, are out to kill him.  Nixon doesn't want anyone to find out he produced a pup like Nik because he would not be able to stay with his mate because it would be considered a bad bloodline.
Personality:
Nik isn't what you would call shy or scared, he is just careful.  He doesn't want to pick a fight and doesn't want to cause trouble.  He doesn't want to be put on the spot or put into a high rank so whenever he meets any group of wolves he always takes the place of an omega.  Nik will start to open up once to knows how things work.  He is friendly and talkative but tends to be overly worried about his friends.  He will fight if needed but rather talk or run.  Nik is very protective of pups and feels like he needs to keep them save, it could be because he wasn't cared for as a pup.

Name:
Akira

Gender:
Female

Age:
4 years old

Appearance:
Akira is a beautiful wolf as you can tell by the photo, her colouring and markings are both very different yet unique to most wolves coat colours. Many colours have made up this wolves coat and that's the colours which, grey, black and many different borwns, the marking that stands out the most is the large splotch that's going across her shoulders-almost like a diamond of some sort, as you can see her tail tip is almost deep black. Under her fur this she-wolf is line with muscle, her long sturdy legs making her larger than most female wolves which does make her come across as a little 'mean' or makes others wary of her. Another thing that stands out is her eyes, they're actually a very unique colour-at first glance they do look brown or sometimes green, but if you look closer you will see they're actually a very beautiful brown/green colour that do go nicely with her face and her coat colours, what makes her different to other wolves is she has a spot beside the corners of her mouth-a small black dot you could say is a 'beauty spot'.

History:
Akira had always lived in the forest, ever since being a pup. In her early life Kii lived with a pretty large pack that consisted of many wolves-unlike most this pack wasn't all related and some had wondered in from different packs, not following the whole steryotype of a wolf pack rules. Her father was the alpha of the pack of course her mother being a favorite-they had seven pups two girls and the rest males. Living with the pack was easy and pretty good, she leart a lot from various members until her time came to explore.

Akira had began to wonder staying in many different places as a loner, often visiting the near by pack of her family until one day the apocalypse happened. Hearing yelps and growls she hurried towards the noise where she found several pack members bodies on the ground including her mother, father, 4 brothers and a few more members-nearly all of them. The only ones that escaped was atleast five other wolves and her two brothers. Akira was only young at the time and this came to a shock, finding her 'pack' dead and monter like creatures wondering around-she isn't even sure if her two brothers are still alive.

Personality:
Akira is a strange character who does indeed have a mided personality. One of the sides to her is the caring side. When in this state kai is very caring and pleasant not really needing to snap, all in all in a relaxed state of mind, talking with others and even helping if they need it, being easy to talk to and rather playful, not having a will to hurt or kill anyone. In one of her 'less' kind personalities Akira is quite the aggressive wold who is prone to snap and have a sharp toung, not caring if she hurts anyone and will in fact push them away.

Although these traits are rarely shown in different groups and are mainly mixed as one big persoanlity. The mixture consists of her being rather helpful, if she see's someone in danger or they confront her for help she will help-even if her life is put in danger. When told what to do Kai takes it upon herself to listen, if she doesn't want to she won't, this showing her stubborn side. If someone she knows as a friend or family she will be 100% protective and risk her life for you. Sometimes Kii can be playful and often likes a good romp around with others, she does know when to be serious and when not to be, she is also quite bubbly. Akira works well under pressure thanks to her quick thinking and ways of working with a situation. When provoked she will snap and isn't afraid to, often saying things that may end up in an argument-whether she holds a grudge or not, it depends what mind she's in. At times Akira can be bossy and quite pushy, but she only does this to help those struggling along.

Other:
You may apply to be her brothers.

History~ From pup to adult, Aki was and is normal, not counting the fact that she was thrown over a waterfall as a pup by her father, who was later killed by her mother.
Personality~ A fast wolf, but not the best fighter. She'll fight if she needs to, but never for no reason. Aki is a mellow wolf, preferring to kill any approaching contaminated quickly and cleanly if she can. But she does have a darker side once she is angry, which thankfully, rarely happens. Aki is very good at hiding evidence.

Akira

A multi-coloured creature crawled through the shadows, moving at a speed that made her seem like a just a shadow or even a ghost. Silence was all that filled her surroundings as she ventured through the forest almost unseen but unheard. Paw pads pressing against the foliage of the forest beneath her broad paws-a pain here and there from thorns that dug into her paws-but not enough for her to make a big deal out of. The sun was slowly rising and the dark early hours would soon become the bright day. Akira always seemed to wake up early, seeing this as a better chance to find food as less creatures would be out-although those flesh-eating freaks were around every corner and very unpredictable.

Slowly, the sun began to peak through the canopys above-allowing some light to shine into the darkened woods. Squinting her green eyes at a ray that shot a flash directly into her pupils causing her to let out an almost silent growl-but she still continued forward. The sound of twigs snapping beneath her paws echoed through the almost deserted wilderness-no movements what so ever. Letting out a huff Akira came to a sudden stop at the outskirts of the forest, looking across the fields and down at the near by village-where the humans once lived, until the plague broke loose. Anyone rarely ventured down there and only wood in desperation, but Akira had been there a few times. The village seeming more infested than the forest.

Giving her head a brisk shake that was soon followed by a sigh she lowered herself to her haunches. A light breeze blew through her fur as the she-wolf sat motionlessly-many thoughts running through her head as she observed the wilderness without any interuptions. Since being a pup Akira had lived in this forest and it was the place she called home and she wasn't giving it up without a fight-weather she had to fight those beasts with an army or alone, she was going to do it.

Nik did not sleep well.  He laid under a large tree with his bright green eyes half closed and misted.  He was unable to find a save place to sleep and barely slept in fear of being attacked.  But now that it was daytime the chances of being attacked where higher and he needed to get moving.  He slowly pulled himself up and opened his mouth in a large yawn.  He shook himself and patches of moss and grass flew off his brown pelt.

Aki's dreams were horrible that night. She had been attacked violently by many contaminated, too many to even try to fight. Eventually, the pain grew to a nonexistent level, or so she thought. Aki was turned into a contaminated herself, with no mind and forced to live in agony. But the dream broke as daylight hit her face. With narrowed eyes, Aki slowly sat up, and eventually stepped out of the shallow bramble-surrounded dip that she had used for a temporary shelter. Feeling hungry and thirsty, she sniffed for prey that wasn't contaminated, eventually finding a family of mice, along with a small rabbit. She still wasn't satisfied after eating them. //But it will work for now// Aki thought, before lapping up a small puddle, and keeping a normal-ish pase.

Ambre tucked her tail between her legs, her ears pinned down. She still was scared of the "meanies" that lurked the forests, but she knew she was safe in the cave system. Ambre felt rather uncomfortable being around strangers she hardly knew or trusted, but she knew that if they weren't infected, they were the closest to safety she would have. Sneezing a bit from the dust particles, she was startled by it and landed on her rump clumsily.

Akira

As she glanced down into the deserted city small shapes caught her attention, ones that stood tall but slouched over-seeming to stumble and trip as they wondered around the city, some even heading towards the forest whilst overs just stood and glanced. Right then Akira knew it, they were the flesh-eatinf creatures known to many as Zombies. Her skin crawled slightly at the thought and even the sight of these hideous creatures who would soon be venturing up into the forest in search for their next meal. She could hear faint moans in the distance which caused her ears to shoot up-fully erect on her head-they were getting nearer. They would soon be arriving into the forest and everyone and everything would be in danger.

Sighing, Akira shuffled to her haunches and sat for a few seconds-her tail sweeping across the group as the scent of stale blood wafted into her snout, causing it to wrinkle back in disgust. A growl rumbled from her throat "I swear one day yous will all be torn apart!" she spat as she lifted to her paws-just at that second one came clambering over the hill and walked directly towards her causing a grin the creep across her face "Try to keep up!" she barked wagging her tail, turning then leaping into a quick spring.

Paws thudded the foliage of the forest as the large she-wolf bounded carelessly through, weaving in and out of the many trees that stood in her way. The moans had began to grow more faint and she was almost into the heart of the forest-her heart racing as she skidded to a halt and turned. Eyes narrowed as she glanced in the direction the best was predicted to come from-all fours spread equally apart and her tail violently thrashing side to side. Eventhough these beasts were hard to kill, Akira found it a little easier than most thanks to her brute strength and size-although that wasn't always an advantage. Waiting patiently the moans began to grow closer and closer and closer, the figure soon clamvering closer and closer.

Ambrenio peeked her head out of the cave system, feeling shivers rack her whole body. She pondered absently on how long this plague would stay, and how the wolves were going to kill the meanies. "I wish mommy was shtill here.." She whimpered, sitting down and still looking out of the cave system. "She turned into a big meanie and twied to kill me.. and dada.. he twied to escape but mawmee got him.." Ambre said to herself, being reminded of the past. "I hate da two leg hoomans.. dey made dis happen.."

The pup let out a sigh before stumbling into a corner, curling into a small ball and shaking out of fear, worry, and coldness.

Nik's ears perked up and listened for anything that could be threatening.  His ears moved backward in fear for he had heard something conserning.  Low, strange growls that he recognized as contaminated.  But he also heard a fast moving animal, too fast to be a contaminated.  He stayed in his place because of the chance of finding another animal.  Sure enough a brownish grey female wolf had appeared, running.  But behind her was a large, white male wolf.  His ears were back and his head was low.  He had many bald patches and Nik could see the flees even from the distance.  One of the wolf's ears had been torn off and his eyes seemed to bulge out of his sockets.
"Watch out, behind you!" Nik warned.

Akira

As Akira skidded to a halt she heard the sudden warn from something near by-raising a brow she turned her head, eyes locking upon a male brute who stood hidden, only just visable. Dipping her head in a thanks she only had a matter of time to turn around to see the creature lunge towards her, growling she quickly pulled her body to the ground causing the best to miss her completely. Turning to now face the creature she growled-lips curled up and saliva dripping from her maw her and the white wolf began to circle. Tail whipping to and fro violently and her eyes narrowed-the two went into combat.

Raising onto her hind quarters Akira began clawing at the canids face, as he was to. Batting violently at its face she managed to grip onto its ear-but was quickly shaken off. Being launched across the air Akira hit the ground with a thud, then rolling onto her side. Lifting to her paws she gave her fur a shake ridding it of any dust. Glancing at the white wolf she grinned-spitting flood from her mouth that had leaked from his ear-a horrible taste it left.

Standing still she watched, the mutant charging towards her in a vicious way-eyes widened with rage and jaws chomping together viciously. As he grew nearer she stepped to the side. Unable to stop the dog skidded forward, seeing this as an advantage Akira hurled herself into the side of the infected which caused it to stumbled and hit the ground with quite some force as it yelped. Getting her enemy on the floor was an advantage and she took this chance.

Quickly, the tri-coloured wolf launched herself towards the white canine, now standing above it she began. Starting off she began to tear into the dogs legs to effect it walking-her sharp fangs easily piercing the skin as she violently shook her head. A hard thud was sent to Akiras head causing her to stumble back with a yelp-blood now oozing from a cut in the side of her head. Anger had now filled the she-wolf and she was ready to kill. Growling "Bad mistake!" she growled. Lunging forward Akira had managed to scwobble with the brute and now grip onto his neck. In the process of this brutal fight Akira received many scratched, bumps and bruises but luckly no bites-thanks to her paw pressed against the creatures head. Gripping tighter the struggling soon stopped.

Feeling the enemies muscles un-tense she backed away, no movement now what so ever. Blood seemed to have coated the white fur of the beast both his own blood and her, as she had to. With her tongue flopped out of her maw Akira turned away from the lifeless body leaving it be a pain shooking through her paw which she chose to ignore. "Thank you" she spoke to the brute who had warned her of her attacker.

Ambre perked her ears up, trying to listen to any commotion that was possibly going on. She sighed, hearing nothing but the droplets of water falling from the ceiling and plopped on her side. "I wish I could still go outside." She mumbled, letting her eyelids droop, falling into a deep sleep. The young wolf was unaware of the fight that was going on, surprisingly.

[Quick question, do they already know where the cave is..? Because Ambre is there already.. Yerp :3]
--
The slightly reddish she-wolf's ears perked as the noises of fighting died down, she stopped and stared in the direction of where the fight had taken place. Then, taking wary steps, Aki moved away, but then broke into a full on run because there may have been more infected around. She rested near a tree, drinking the water, although she didn't need it; Aki was built for speed. Getting up again, a plump rabbit crossed her path as she was running. //Strange// Aki thought, and slowed in hopes of catching it. She moved around it, and eventually, leaped onto it and killed it. After smelling the meat for freshness, Aki ate it while glancing around nervously, then started running again through the trees.

[[Just one question: are the creatures human Zombies or wolf? Just thought they were human, or are they both human and wolf?]]

Akira

The sound of a sudden voice caused Akira to stop in her track, taking a few seconds to observe the scents she turned. As predicted it was the brute who warned her about the creature who was following her. Smiling she turned her body now fully facing the male, her tail swaying lightly as she nodded her head-then clearing her throat. "Yes thank you, I'm fine..." she smiled deciding to take a seat. Although she was alright Akira needed to rid her fur of the splotches of blood and tend to the scratches she had gained.

Lifting her front right paw the tri-coloured she-wolf began tending to a scratch, although it was the deepest one she had received it didn't effect her much. With her head now lowered and her paw in aim she began licking at the blood stained area-her tongue continuously sweeping across the wound-wincing in pain slightly at the sting, but nothing she couldn't handle. Soon, she moved onto a scratch on her shoulder-only licking away the blood. A wound that was on the side of her head was unable to be reached so once she found a clean enough water source she would clean it.

Giving her head a brisk shake her gaze soon drifted back onto the male near by, but she couldn't help but turn her head to the lifeless body of the white wolf on the ground-its fur all matted and dirty, now stained with blood. Her lips curled back slightly but she managed to prevent her anger-soon looking back at the male she was yet to introduce herself to.

Nik sat down as well.  He was leaning a bit to the right because he was favoring his broken leg which caused him to look kind of silly.  He looked over at the white wolf.  He was awful looking with his grey fur that should have been white and bald patches.  Nik hated seeing the contaminated, not because they looked so bad and they were dangerous, but because he felt bad for them.  They loose all thought of caring for themselves then they die and no one griefs or even cares.  At this thought Nik stood up and walked back to the tree he had slept under.  There was a branch that had fallen last night.  He quickly located it and gripped his teeth on one part of it.  Walking backwards, he pulled the branch back toward the white wolf and dragged it over him.
"I got no time for a proper burial, so this will have to do."  He said, looking down at the mauled animal.

Akira

Watching as the male sat down with a slight lean she smiled-now putting all her weight on the injured paw that seemed to be rapidly recovering. Letting out a sigh of relief she glanced back at the dead creature, hate filling her heart-but sudden movement in the corner of her eyes caused her head to whip around. There was the brute, dragging over a leaf cooated branch-tilting her head in confusion she watched. Watching as he placed the branch over the carcass, which covered the large creature ever so slightly she raised a bow-untilting her head once again. Akira was baffled why the brute had done so for the infected creature-it had no life left, the infection had taken over after all, but she dared to question why and instead chuffled uncomfortable then lifting to her paws. Large triangular ears swurled around as the male then spoke about a burial.

Giving a brisk shrug to her shoulders Akira cleared her throat "If you don't mind me asking, why have you just covered that creature?" she spoke a confused expression upon her face as she turned to the right and glanced at the almost covered body her tail continued to sway as her gaze turned back onto the unfamiliar brute that was now hidden once again in the trees-but she waited quietly for her question to be answered.

Waking up after a few five minutes, Ambre forced herself onto her paws and stretched. The pup silently slinked out of the cave system, not moving another inch. Her heart started racing as she lifted a silver-tinted paw. "I wonder if there's fwood..I hope there is.." Ambre talked to herself, placing her shaky paw down, and very slowly inching forward. "Pwease let there be fwood.." She whimpered quietly. Only getting a few wolftail-inches, she sighed. "Dis is gonna be a wong, wong walk.." After all, the pup didn't know if there was food in the cave system or not, because the cave system got darker and longer as it got deeper, and she was afraid of the dark. Ambre's only wishes were to find another wolf that wasn't a meanie, and some food.

Lifting her muzzle up, a scent of slightly grimy-scenting blood wafted around her nostrils. Ambre silently cheered, and cautiously limped towards the smell, shivering like a wet wolf. Then stopping, a wave of thoughts came across her. 'What if it's a dead meanie? What if a meanie ate the dead meanie?' She pondered, but continued her limping. 'I just hope it's fwood.'

(Accepted.  This roleplay is alike from the old one so it would be cool if you added Abyss but you don't have to or anything. :)  )

"It is not his fault this happened to him.  Humans created this and now we have to suffer for it.  He did not choose to become this.  Killing them puts them out of their misery but we should still respect the dead, no if they were contaminated or not."  Nik said.

He has an ease with words useful in diplomacy, preferring to resolve conflicts with little violence. However, Riceo is a skilled fighter who gains the confidence of his comrades through his charm and ability to rapidly make decisions concerning trivial situations or issues. He is steadfastly loyal to those he cares about and will defend them with tooth and claw, even at the cost of his life. However, he can be a little defensive of himself at times. He doesn't always like admitting to his mistakes, but he tries to. He is also easily provoked and has a temper at times. Sometimes, he hardens himself and shuts out the world. He is a master at concealing his emotions and slipping emotionless masks over his face, much to the frustration of some. The more time you spend with him, the less you seem to know about him. He does open up to those he really trusts, although he doesn't share too much. Riceo has a hard time admitting his limits. He doesn't like to confess to feeling "weak," even when he is obviously exhausted. This shows a bit of his stubborn side. He occasionally judges people a little too quickly, and he can be a little too wary at times.

Other:
He is Akira's brother, if that is fine with Taylor.

Akira

Akira sighed as the brute spoke, her head nodding in agreement to what he had said. She didn't understand the creatures couldn't help it-but they couldn't help them either. Her green gaze rested upone the male "I understand it may not be their fault, but its not ours either. We don't need to suffer, and if we try to help our lives are sure to be over.." she mumbled from past experiences, but wasn't willing to bring them up. Allowing her tail to sweep back and forth she lifted her large paw from the ground-then tapped it against the foliage several times. Her ears twitching as an owl hooted from high up in the trees and her stomach soon demanded for food, she needed to search.

A cool breeze blew through her long fur and she looked at the still unknown wolf-dipping her head respectfully. Picking up a few scents from the wind of stale blood and other creatures. But the roaring growls of her stomach caused her to growl to herself at the sudden demads, taking one last glance at the male she slowly wondered off.

Ambre followed the scent of dried blood for a few 5 more minutes before stopping in her tracks, bumping into a lifeless snow-hued male that was missing a few patches of fur here and there. She shakily looked down at the body and turned pale-ish. Turning her head away from the stench to avoid vomiting, she stepped back, away from the flies that were circling over the dead wolf. "Dis is not fwood.."

(It's alright, just wanted to make sure.)
Recap.
Nik and Akria have just met after Akria killed a white contaminated wolf.  They are talking now.  Ambre has just followed the smell of the dead wolf to find them.

"Where are you going?  It's not save on your own." Nik warned.  His ears suddenly turned backward the he turned around to see a pup besides the dead wolf.  He smiled and lowered his head to set her better.
"Hello, who are you?"

O_O I'm extremely sorry for not posting, as I have been caught up in homework recently. So.. Eh... Here. xD]

The tired she-wolf didn't run for long, as she was trying to save stamina. Each time Aki stopped she rested. After taking a drink, a horrid stench hit her nose. //What the?// Aki thought, and began to follow the odd stench. The scent led deep into the forest, and veered sharply away from her set course. By the time she thought that the stench had faded, other live scents appeared, and near by. Aki broke through the last layer of trees and saw two live wolves, as well as a pup. There was a white wolf who smelled like an infected dead on the ground, with the pup next to it. Aki had a weird look on her face. "Am I interrupting? I can always leave," she said, and took a few steps back.

Nik's head was still lowered to look at the pup when the new wolf appeared.  He looked up without moving his head and smiled.
"Oh, hello."  He said.

The youngling looked up at the male. "U-Uh.. I'm A-Ambre.." She turned her head to look at the she-wolf. "I don't.. even know who any of yew are.. I thought dis dead meanie was fwood.." Ambre stuttered, slowly pinning her ears against her skull and tucking her tail between her legs, as a sign she was weak. (Sowwy for the short post)

Akira

Before she could continue forward the sort of familiar voice of the male rang through her ears, he seemed to be telling her it wouldn't be safe to go on her own-but Akira had different instincts and knew she must go-her brother was somewhere out there and she wanted to find him. Turning her head slightly, her gaze rested upon the brown male who was still hidden in the shrubs "Yes, I know its dangerous out there..." she mumbled, but quickly continued after a sigh "But my brother is somewhere out there and I must go and find him." but suddenly something interupted-what looked like a small pup and soon a larger wolf. Smiling she half turned "Nah that's not food, the stench is to unbareable. You best find someone to stay with pup, its a dangerous world..." her voice soft but dominant as she nodded at the three.

Turning away she slowly stalked onward, her intentions were to find her brother and she wasn't stopping for anyone. He was the only family she had left and she wasn't going to let this slip-it would be fantastic if they were reuinited. Allowing her tail to flick back and forth against the light breeze that swept through her pelt the she-wolfs broad paws pressed against the ground, leaving large paw prints printed in the soild-a few twigs snapped now and then as her weight caused them to. The continuous chirping of birds filled the almost silent forest and everything seemed a little off.

"Your going to get yourself killed!  Or worse!"  Nik called after her, but he didn't follow her.  He looked back at the new wolves.  He would have spoke to the pup if the adult had not appeared.  He lowered his head to show submission.  He wasn't sure if this wolf was a threat but if she was he wanted her to know he wasn't going to attack her.  She didn't seem dangerous but he had to make sure.

Quick Info
My name is Riceo. I am five years old, and I am of the male. Currently, I am searching for my sister, Akira.

Branches whipped past Riceo's face as he swerved around a large oak tree. Small welts and cuts began to appear shortly, blood slightly oozing out of a few. His tongue lolled out, dry without water. Behind him, a small growl of frustration ripped out of the creature. Its large paws struggled to catch up with him as misshaped eyes popped out of its sockets. A strange and unwelcoming stench filled the area, causing Riceo to nearly gag. Shaking his head, he pressed forward, launching himself over a fallen tree. His paws let out a cry of pain as it forcefully slammed onto the ground, pricked by small, snapped twigs. His swallowed, hoping to receive a little moisture for his dry throat. However, the dryness stayed in his throat, not accepting the saliva. A scowl formed onto the black wolf's face. Any moment, he would have to pause to attack the creature.

Deciding to end it near a small clearing, he skipped to a stop, pretending to act confused. His shot wild glances around, before turning back to the creature. Putting on an act, he played coward - lowering himself and letting out a few whimpers of fake fear. Fortunately, the creature, who was a gray wolf, fell for it, and lunged. Immediately, Riceo sprang out of the way, hitting the side of his body on the hard ground. A sharp pain went up his side, but he brushed it off, scrambling up onto his paws. His tail rose - a sign of dominance - as the two circled out of each other's reach. When Riceo paused, the creature acted, springing towards him with such swiftness that Riceo almost had no time to dodge. Even as he did, the sides of its claws scorched his side - the one he had fallen on - causing him to wince and hobble away. It was such a pity to him. He had not laid any scores on the gray wolf, but it had given him two.

Snarling in disgust, he quickly shot forward, knocking down his opponent to the ground. A thrash of claws along with strong paws met his face, causing him to lean back in attempt to avoid it. However, his paws still pinned the wolf down, causing frustrated growls to come from the wolf. With its throat vulnerable, Riceo could easily snap it and kill it. But as he brought his head down to, a blurred yet white shape shot forward out of the corner of his eye. Taken by surprise, he remained still in shock as another infected wolf knocked him down, pinning him to the earth's floor. He released his grip from the gray wolf, and began to attack the one on him. However, with the two overwhelming him, he was left struggling the thin air as they began to round up on him.

Riceo knew he was overpowered. Determined not to go down without putting on a fight, or bringing one down with him, he began to muster his strength, and thrash out wildly, hoping to grasp any tender part or skin to break it or rip it. A few howls escaped the white wolf's throat, meaning he had successfully damaged it somewhat. Short triumph flared inside of the black wolf, but it was cut off when the gray wolf turned to him and lunged. This time, he sprang out of the way, his claws scraping heavily against the hard rock. A loud screech filled the air, causing him to wince, along with the other two. Yet, the two enemies never stopped to attack him, herding him from the thick dense of the forest to an opened - too openly area - rock-filled area. It was a chasm, to Riceo's disappointment.

Dismay began to fill him as he was pushed near the edge. He did his best to defend himself, but with two strong opponents attacking him from each side, he was weakened. A small whine escaped his throat, as his hind paw nearly slipped near the edge. Fear collected in his gut, slowly building higher and higher each time he was wounded. Thankfully, they were minor wounds, but he was sure it wasn't going to matter in the end. He closed his eyes, pausing from defending himself. Think, Riceo. A moment passed, before he slowly opened his eyes. Without warning or hesitation, he lunged forward, bowling the gray male over. Taken by surprise, the creature toppled over, stunned. Whipping around, Riceo acted upon the smaller white wolf, dodging her attack and sending her to the ground. Acting fast, he grasp the wolf's scruff, widening his eyes in surprise at its lightness. But he mustered his strength and hauled her over the chasm. Despite her kicks and struggles, he managed to bear them. With a push of his muscles, he thrust her over the edge, squeezing his eyes shut to bear the screech of fright which tore out of the white wolf's mouth as she slowly disappeared into the clutter of rocks below. A soft thud echoed back up, causing Riceo to stumble back in horror.

"Murder!" Riceo whipped around to face the white wolf. The words sounded more like a rasp of breath than a simple word, but either way, Riceo knew it was true. He had always been afraid to kill, since he would rather severely injure his enemy. Shaking the thought from his mind, he braced himself, preparing to meet an attack from the white wolf. However, much to his surprise, the creature turned and ambled off, limping slightly. Obviously submitting to his win, it disappeared behind a few large rocks.

Riceo slumped down near the chasm, suddenly feeling the aches and stings of his wounds. He glanced down at the chasm for a moment, before picking himself up. Closing his eyes, he blindly led himself back to the forest, depending on scents and noises. Once he arrived, he curled near a small tree, deciding to tend to his wounds later. However, the sharp stench of the infected wolfs' blood still lingered on him, nearly causing him to gag in disgust. Shaking the feeling off, he laid his head down, staring up at the thick leaves on the tree in front of him.

Akira

A faint voice echoed behind the she-wolf as she had wondered off, it was the male from earlier-who seemed concerned about others going off on her own. But she had a valid reason to do so. Lifting her head and turning it ever so slightly she replied "I'll be fine!" she barked-one most different to females barks, it was more deep yet soft. Chuckling lightly to herself with a smile she glanced into the distance, then coming to a sudden stop "I hope so..." she mumbled flattening her ears for a second as she inhaled the scents, but for now she could only get the smell of the wolves near by and the stale scent of the dead, mutated creature that was laying limply on the ground.

Sighing, a shrug soon took over the she-wolfs shoulders as she hurried off again. Large, broad paws thudded against the foliage of the forest-fallen branches from trees cracked beneath her heavy paws as she trudged onward. A light breeze continued to linger through the empty forest. Every thing seemed quiet and the silence was quite enjoyable but somewhat creeping her out, ears erect and claws ready Akira moved quickly and quietly.

The sudden sound of a hoot caused Akira to skid to a halt, a growl rumbling up her throat as she glanced up into a tree "Dumb creatures, always seem to..." but suddenly Akira was cut off by the near by sounds of howling-her brows furrowing. All muscles tensed as a growl once again rumbled through her throat, but this time escaping and echoing through the hollow forest. Saliva dripped down the she-wolfs lips as they curled back-now aware and wary from the previous attack-blood still clumped in small parts of her fur and noticable soon to be scars across her cheek and paw. Hearing a yelp she launched forward.

But as she drew nearer and nearer everything went quiet-silence once again filled the forest. Skidding to a halt nothing was there, confusion filled the Timber/Grey as the only scent lingering was one to make her gag-obviously from the infected and another which smelt like a regular wolf? Raising a brow she plopped herself down. Tail straightened across the ground as she lifted a hid leg and seen to an itch that irritated her on the back of the ear. Letting out a sigh she took one last glance, but nothing. Lifting up she left again.

As much as Akira wanted to find her brother she also wanted to give up-although that wasn't in her blood to do so and she knew she wouldn't. She had been searching for a few weeks and only covered a small amount of ground thanks to the vast lands of forest. Allowing her tongue to slide across her lips Akira sighed once again, her tail gently swaying as she pushed through the shrubs "I'm never going to find him..." she mumbled to herself with her head slightly lowered-but raising once again. Extending her stride then pushing from her hind quarters Akira managed to launch herself over a fallen log-swiftly landing on the other side. Trotting onwards once again.

"Umm..." Aki started, but then stopped. "Maybe I should leave?" she said as the other wolf left. "I never wanted to interrupt.."
