Today,the Pokemon company after a long wait decided to announce that remakes are comfirmed.The video was posted by the company channel itself,so it's legit.Check it out:

I'm so excited.~ It's even on the pokemon site. ;D btw if this is the wrong place or is not allowed here,move/lock it.

Wait, what? Ohmy, daz cool xD.
Before I watched the vid, I was like /Nuuu dey cant redo the Hoenn region in the TV show/ becaush I loved the AG episodes. Then I watched le vid and I was like /Oh, were safe for now xD/. Yep.
But It's cool that Ruby and Sapphire are being remade :)
I was just worried that they would be redoing the show itself when I clicked onto this topic.
