Due to popular demand, I've chosen to resurrect this fossil of a roleplay. C;

In the late 1800's, the untamed wilds of the Western United States have long called to Eastern settlers seeking adventure, danger, and riches beyond imagination. The Western world is a strange one, and nothing for the faint of heart. Its searing desert heat and dryness alone make ranching no easy task- but out here, the weather is the least of your worries. Though there is law, the west is nearly a lawless place. Bandits, gangs, and murderers make life difficult for the locals, but the law has not failed yet, and the two forces are seemingly locked in a never ending game of cat and mouse.

L O C A T I O N
In the south-west sits a small town by the name of Ridgewood. For its size, it provides a decent living for all kinds of folks. It includes a saloon, general store, gunsmith, blacksmith, sheriff's office, jail, stable, doctor, and even a train station. The near land outside the town, being a long, flat scrub-like plain, connect to rolling hills and mountains. The plains are home to a couple cattle ranches that are within convenient distance from the town, while still allowing acres and acres of land for their herds. Also inhabiting the plains are numerous harems of wild horses, which provide more ways to earn a living for a rancher by catching, taming, and selling them. Far past the plains, and up on the mountain plateau lies an old abandoned, run-down town. This usually homes a couple ruthless gangs of outlaws. In the lands just past the plateau lives a large tribe of Native Americans, who are not too happy about the encroaching European-blooded men slowly taking over the land. Fights between the locals and the Native Americans are eminent.

P L O T
A perk of the Old West is, man is free to be whomever he wishes to be. There are numerous options to chose from, all of which revolving around the town of Ridgewood. Such options include: Bandit, gang member(outlaw), Sheriff (only one person), deputy, bounty hunter, rancher, cowboy, bronco buster(basically a rancher who makes a living off of the wild horses), one can even chose to be a simple doctor, a lone drifter, part of the Native American tribe, or even a participant in Buffalo Bill's famous Wild West shows! Whatever you chose, it helps to know how to handle a gun, male or female, out here.

R U L E S
1. Be realistic- do your research if you need it.
2. Try to keep occupation numbers balanced- we don't need an overwhelming amount of outlaws and bandits
3. Know your physical limits when it comes to injuries, abilities, etc.
4. I encourage you to be descriptive in your posts

He does things his way, or no way at all. With a one-track-mind when it comes to outlaws, he's very ambitious and won't let anything stand in the way of him getting his prize. He's a little rough around the edges, and tends to be very short-tempered. When it comes to others, he is quite friendly depending on if he's on a contract or not. He'd give life and limb to protect innocent people and those few that are close to him, even though he prefers to be alone. He's very good at what he does, and would do anything to catch the bad guy in the end.

"I've always wondered what this town would be like without those outlaws..."
Sky Alexander Muerto

Sky awoke to the sun breaking through the curtains of her window. She pushed her thin covers off of her and slid out of bed. She yawned and stretched before going to her cabinet closet across the room and pulled out a brown dress. She slid out of her night gown and into her dress, tying a white apron around her waist as she went out the front door to the barn. Two cows were standing inside stalls of sorts and her mare was in one aswell. She went over to her mare's stall and grabbed a rope that was hanging on the door. She tied it around the mare's halter and lead her out and to a corral just outside, sure to close the gate when she released her.

Sky returned to the barn to close it up before going to the garden beside their house. Her father was exiting the house as she neared and she smiled at him. "Mornin' Pa. Going to get some supplies?" She questioned, also noticing two of their horses hitched up to the wagon. Her father nodded and sighed. [/darkblue]"If we're gonna eat we're gonna need some things." He had said. "I'll go into town for you." She offered. She could tell her father wasn't sure so she persisted. "I'll be safe, you know that. I can handle myself." Her father gave in and nodded. She smiled. "I'll be back before dark." She said, climbing onto the wagon. She knew where she had left her revolver but decided to simply leave it. She clicked her tongue to get the horses off. "Be careful!" She had heard her father say. Se smiled back at him. "I will!" Sky called back before she left the fenced in area of the ranch, heading towards town.

I feel that post sucked but meh.))

Nathan walked briskly yet leisurely down the dirt middle road of The town. His hair was natural as it always was as the crisp morning air bit at his nose. The time was...early. He guessed. The pale sun was just barely beginning to peak over the mountains and showed slivers of light. Nathan sighed, only hearing the crunch of his shoes against a few lone pebbles. A small head poked out of the pocket on his shirt. Bennet, his pet weasel make a small sniff noise and nustled comfortably into the pocket, but left the top half of his head peeking out. Nathan pet Bennett's head and kept walking. There was something about the early mornings that soothed him. Something about the dead silence yet alive buzzing of mornings. Nathan's bright blue eyes caught sight of his small workshop in town. The sign was a fancy piece of wood engraved saying: "Ridgewood Gears Master". He sighed again, flickering his bright blue eyes to the front door. Swinging it open he habitually switched the small CLOSED sign next to the door to OPEN.

Nathan walked into his shop. It was petite yet functional. When you entered it has a few chairs against the wall, and a wall that cut the place in half. Behind the wall were several tables, gears, tools, blueprints, and anything else you could imagine in a workshop. He pushed the door to enter his work space. Letting air escape his lips, Nathan held his hand out next to his shirt pocket. Bennett hopped out, sniffing around the warm room. He then climbed down onto the table. Sniffing, Bennett found a comfy spot and layed down. Nathan chuckled a little at his furry friend. He then went straight to work. He sat in a dusty old stool and began to work on a blueprint. Sketching was a talent if his. Lately he was working on a new gun upgrade. Nathan's pencil glided across the paper as Bennett watched with interest.

"Nuthin' is more dangerous than a cornered rat."

In the town Saloon, Mary Ellen stood wiping the countertop. The Saloon was empty, but she knew it would fill up soon enough. When she finished she began to prepare the beer. The door burst open and 6 men walked in, all ordering at the same time. "I only have two hands." She began serving the drinks. Mary Ellen walked in front of a man, placing a drink down. "Thanks sweetie."
"Don't call me that." She growled, grabbing an empty can and placing it by a sink. She would have to gather water later. She turned when a fist pounded the bar top. "Over here!"
"Coming!" Mary Ellen filled up a can and slid it over to the man. He slurped happily and Mary Ellen used a wet rag to clean the dirty cans.

"This isn't something I love to do, this is something I live to do."

Name:
Analyse Tobin

Gender:
Female

Age:
32 years old

Occupation:
Bronco Buster (owns a ranch with many animals but mostly broncos/mustangs)
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Shows

Family:
Father - Ian
Mother - Karina
Brother - Adrian
Friend - Elizabeth (lives at ranch also)

Accompanied By:
She's accompanied by Stanton, a horse who is the breed of a Mustang. He was captured from the wild and tamed off Analyse after two years of work - he is 5 years old. As you can see his coat colour is that of chestnut and the markings he had is a blaze down the centre of his face and three white socks - one at front and two at back. He shares a similar personality to his owner apart from being a little more protective and loving - towards her. He's a muscular horse who is fully owned by her and helps out when working.

(http://[url=http://www.everything-dream-horse.com/images/chestnut-horse-a.jpg]http://www.everything-dream-horse.com/images/chestnut-horse-a.jpg[/url])(http://www.myhorse.ca/images/chestnut-quarter-horse.jpg)

These are the two dogs that are well known around the ranch, Fletcher the German Shepherd, Reina the Australian Kelpie, Hobson their English Bullmastiff and Maggie their Border Collie. Both participate as working dogs and are also entered in local shows around the west. Able to venture around by themselves and sometimes visiting the town and even the native people. Both loyal and loving dogs but also great guard dogs who do scare off bandits and what not.

(http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum/attachments/choosing-breeder/105954d1377751809-bicolor-working-shepherd-p1010076-1.jpg)(http://cdn-6.dooziedog.com/dog_breeds/australian_kelpie/main.jpg)(http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-850GQNtiTus/UhINsISamTI/AAAAAAAACBE/sz8Yk84XK68/s1600/Ike+BULLMASTIFFS+Ike.jpg)(http://www.redcreekfarm.com/images/train_left.jpg)

Equipment:
Pistol
Shot Gun
Knife
Lasso

Skills:
She's skilled at using all of her equipment, but the main one being her lasso and shotgun. Since being a rancher and competeing in shows using a lasso becomes a regular skill - this helping her skill increase more. Also, she has used a shot gun many times to fend off bandits and prey that visit her ranch - this making her rather skilled.

Personality:
Analyse is an outgoing young woman who strives in her work - there isn't a day that goes by where she isn't working her socks off in her fairl large ranch. She's a hard worker and rarely puts a foot wrong it what she's doing, having a lot of experience with animals her job is fairly easy but something she loves. Since many people visit the ranch buying off live stock and even a pup from the one or two litters that are born a year she has managed to work with people rather easily but also this has made her quite a friendly citizen. Despite mostly coming off as cheerful and happy Anna does sometimes have her off moods, and boy can you tell. When angered she's rather snappy and harsh - biting most peoples heads off if she's angered enough, although she is pretty tolerant. Mostly she's happy, loyal, bubbly, hard working, sarcastic, straight forward, dominant, feisty and outgoing.

Backstory:
Ana doesn't really have much of an 'interesting' back story compared to most, although in her eyes its the best she could of had. When younger her father owned - one that had been passed down many generations by her older family members, so she had always grown up around live stock - horses being the main on. She spent many years helping out and helping catch and handle some of the brumbys. Which she enjoyed a lot. Analyse had a close bond with all of her family so growing up was rather easy.

As the years moved on and it was time to fly the nest her brother - Adrian, was handed the ranch - like her ancestors done with their sons - although she wanted it she didn't mind. Leaving home at the age of 20 Ana got a job in the saloon for a year, then at a black smiths for two years. But this didn't fit the type of lifestyle she wanted. So at the age of 23 Analyse ventured off into the open fields and built herself a ranch. Her ranch holds many animals - but the only horses are ones that have once been wild or a mix of the breed.

Analyse Tobin

"This isn't something I love to do, this is something I live to do."

The sun had slowly begun to rise in the wild rugged west, golden sands covered the state along with the odd fields of grass that surrounded the area. Fresh river and lakes continuing to flow as the sun reflected upon them giving it a shined immage. Shadows slowly formed from the houses and hills - the shadows and animals and people growing darker as the sun moved up. It all looked so beautiful, an untamed wilderness with a small city to top it off. But the main focus was a ranch atop a hill - a rather well known one at that.

As the sun rose a bright light shone through the brunettes window, this causing her to stirr in her sleep and her lids soon lifted - revealing her odd coloured eyes. Eyes half squinted Analyse glared around the wood based room, the sounds of farm animals echoed in from outside on the ranch causing a smile to form across her lips. Drawing her arms from under the covers Anna pushed the blanket off, and shuffling around she stepped out of bed and headed towards her dresser.

Analyse wasn't one to waste time, it was rare she would wake and lay in bed for several minutes - she preferred to get up and get dressed so she could wonder out onto the place she called home. A large mahogany wardrobe sat infront of her, extending her arms she pulled open the wooden doors the glance in. Filling it were many checkered shirts and many plain, many pairs of jeans and shorts along with her cowboy boots - Ana only had a few dresses. She wasn't like most women around the town wearing dressed, you would often see her comfortably in her checked shirt, vest top, jeans or shorts and of course with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. This was the only way she dressed - apart from the odd occasion when a dress would be relevant.

Brushing her hands through the clothes Analyse finally found some ideal clothes to wear - a red checkered shirt that she would roll up the sleeves, a pair of dark denim blue jeans, black cowboy hat and a pair of black boots. Easily she slipped them one, after going throught her routine of washing herself of course - but, her hair fell neatly in place so not much was done there. Now she was ready she couldn't finally head on outside, her friend Elizabeth was usually still asleep at these early hours, so she left her in her slumber as she slipped out the doors and headed down the dusty trails, all dogs following her ready to tend the animals.

Will [William] Iero
(http://i57BannedImageSite/snm739.jpg)

Gender: Male

Age: 24 Years Old

Occupation: Bounty Hunter & Bookstore Owner[ Iero's Novels ]

Family: His father is Frank [Frankie], his mother is Rosemary, and his late sister is Elaine.

Accompanied By: William owns a peppery gray ex-racehorse named Whiskey. Whiskey is about fifteen to sixteen hands high, and he's a stallion. Whiskey had a hairline crack in his back leg- which  he props a bit off when standing still, but still runs like just a perfectly healthy stud; and was scratched from the racing world, and bought by Will for a drastically low price. He also has a young German Shepherd named Bandit; that has a red bandana tied around his leather collar.

Equipment: A hunting rifle, and several hunting and throwing knives- as well as a fish filet knife. William owns dual hangduns, but those normally remain at both of his sides- in their holstiers.

Skills: William's skills include shooting, hand-to-hand combat, horseback riding, motorcyle riding, and his witty personality.

Personality: William is a very confident and outspoken young male. He says what's on his mind, and normally acts on his first thought or gut instinct. He'll be the first to make a snide remark, or insult someone- and he doesnt really know  the meaning of fear. However, when it comes to work- he's normally blunt, straightforward, and ready to go in and get the job done with precision, skill, and determination. He is also a major flirt, and uses his charms, look, and witt to get attention.

Backstory: William was born in the small town of Ridgewood. It's that sort of cliche "small town" where everyone knows everyone else, and there's no escaping the disapproving eyes of the peers around a growing up Will. His mother, Rosemary, and his father Frank (or Frankie, as Will likes to call him), owns the town bookstore; which Will was precieved to own when he got older. But his younger sister, Elaine, had a much bigger love for reading and novels themselves-as well as literature and poetry. Will wouldn't want to crush his younger sister's heart, so he refused to take the bookstore when he was at the age of twenty. Elaine was one of the only people who Will showed such affection and protective mannerisms towards. So it was important to keep her happy and safe, aye? Well, that was up until Elaine was walking home from school and several sumbag's in one of those town gangs held her captive until the family would cough up some dough; and if they got the police involved, they would kill Elaine Iero. That drove William absolutely mad and he was working jobs around the clock, but it just wasn't enough money in the end to save his sister. Even though the outlaw's took the money- they still killed her. Apparently it just wasnt enough. Whatever Will did wasnt enough? After Elaine was killed, William found out about the Bounty Hunter's that killed uncultuered swines- like the people who killed her sister- and decided to join them. It was intensive training, but it was all worth it to avenge his sister's death. However, with Elaine gone, and his parents now retired, Will must also look after the bookstore. So, by day, he is the charming and witty William Iero who runs the local bookstore, but by night he is simply Will, the bounty hunter with a taste for revenge.

Bonnie "the Drifter" Burrows

Bonnie listens to his answer, still massaging her temples. She lets out a huff as he hands her the laudanum.
"Thank you, son." She says before she puts her hat back on. His body language gave off the inidcation that she wasn't really wanted in his presence. But that's fine.

"Cheers." She says before she walks from the shop and back into the town. There was now a small buzz of activity as the day came into the afternoon. She spots the saloon further up the street and starts walking towards it. She was actually quite glad that the male wasn't interested in her. She did want some time away from being the nutorious 'Drifter' and from bounty hunters hungry for their fistful of dollars.

She pushes the doors open as she walks into the building. It didn't look overly busy. Also a good thing. Only a small clutter of men and the girl behind the counter. She makes her way to the counter, only partly ignoring the men's interested comments towards her. Maybe later.

She sits at the counter, still chewing on the laudanum. She looks at the young woman behind the counter. "Scotch, please." She grunts as she takes her hat off and ruffles her hair, picking out some straw still stuck in it. How did she get in that stable in the first place?

On my phone so no picture.))

Sky had put the horses in a trot long ago and she could now see the town in the distance. She soon had slowed them down back into a walk as she entered the town. The town was clearly stirring, with people on the porches of some buildings. She nodded and smiled at them in turn when she passed usually replied woth a tip of a hat or a wave. Sly brought the horses to a stop outside the general store. She climbed down oike it was nothing and walked inside with a usual bright smile on her face. She walked to the counter where the store keeper was and nodded to him. "Mornin' Mr. Anders(Made up name. IDK)" She said to him. He sent a smile back at her and tipped his odd rounded hat. "Morning Sky. How's the ranch holding up?" He questioned. She smiled sliding a list over to him from her pa with the things he needed before she replied. "It's holding. No problems with cattle rustlers or gangs lately so that's good." She said with a shrug. He nodded whilst getting the stuff on the list prepared. "That's deffinently not a bad thing. And your father? How is he? Haven't seen him town in a while." He said walking back to the counter. "Oh, well he's troubled right now. He's worried the rustlers and bandits are trying to make plans to steal his cattle or rob us blind." She sighed. Mr. Anders shook his head. "Makes ya wonder." He said. "Well here ya go Sky. Tell your father to stop worrying so much." He teased chuckling lightly. Sky chuckled and began to walk to the door. "I will. Thanks." She said waving behind her. The shopkeeper and put her things in a sprt of bag you could say. She slid the bag on the seat of the wagon and climbed up.

Her eyes drifted around the town woth a sort of sigh. She clicked her tongue and moved the reins to get them moving again. She ended up stopping in front of a store she knew fixed anything with gears. She untied her apron and left it on tye wagon as she climbed down. She pulled a pocketwatch from her dress pocket and stepped inside. The watch had long ago stopped working and she wasn't positive how. Sky slid up to the counter and smiled at the man behind the counter. "My father has been here before and has told me you can fix certain things." She said sliding the watch on the counter. "Could you fix this watch? It hasn't been working.." She said with a raise of a brow.

Christine Abernando | Chrissie | Silver Heart
"You have one shot. Just one. So make it count."

The stream of sunlight coming from the small parting in her shutters wouldn't have woken Chrissie if she hadn't heard the long howl of a wolf outside. She let out a quiet moan and screwed her eyes shut, letting her mind wander. Just as she began to drift, the same sound, only louder, echoed through her tired head. "Alright, alright. I'm awake." She muttered, flinging the covers from her body with her eyes still screwed shut. She swung her legs over the side of her bed, pushing herself off of the mattress and stumbling over to the shutters. She pushed them open to a warm breeze that caused her to finally open her eyes. She took a deep breath of the morning air before looking down at the source of the howl. "Shut it, Bella." She called down, silencing the wolf. Turning away from her window, she quickly undressed out of her night garments and into her working dress. It was a simple white garment with laced sleeves that reached down to her elbows. She tied her long, light brown hair into a neat bun with a daisy perched just above her right ear.

Before leaving the house, Chrissie always drank two glasses of water. It was a healthy habit to prevent dehydration. She always filled the empty canister from the day before with water to put in her satchel; just in case. With a short sigh, she opened her front door to the bright sunlight and whistled Bella over. With a bark the canine loped towards her owner, bouncing up and down in front of her, but not leaning against her as not to ruin her dress. "Mornin', girl." She said with a chuckle, closing the heavy door behind her. Chrissie sauntered over to Barley's stable and leaned over the door, patting the stallion's strong neck. "I'll be back before you know it. Love ya." She waved a farewell with a whinny as a reply. She pulled out her pocket watch from her dress and checked the time, she was late for opening time. Muttering curses to herself, she briefly considered riding Barley into town, but pushed the idea aside. She could make it just in time if she ran, so she hitched up the skirt of her dress and quickened her paces with Bella close at her heels.

Rounding the last corner, she slowed down to a fast walk past the 'gear place'- as she liked to call it- next door to her small tailor shop. Waving a brief hello through the window to her marketing neighbor, she pulled out a singled key from around her neck to open the door. The soft sound of the bell as the door opened bounced off of the walls of the shop. She flipped the 'CLOSED' sign to 'OPEN' and took a seat behind the counter. Bella padded her way over to a pile of torn fabrics and made herself comfortable. It was going to be a long day.

Nathan sighed, as Bennett walked around briefly on his desk. He felt a gust of wind blow in from the front door. Could it be that girl again? What did she want now? Nathan flicked his bright blue eyes up and his throat almost went dry. This definitely wasn't the girl from before. He swallowed, listening to her speak. He stood, carefully taking hold of the shiny watch that she places on the counter. The cold metal felt nice and comforting on his hand. "Certainly, miss." He mumbled. Nathan walked into the back, pushing around searching for his tools. He grabbed a few tools that would certainly do the trick. He came back out from the back, running a hand through his hair. He gave the girl a small smile before picking up the watch again. Finally something he was good at.

Nathan grabbed a few tools and took off the back of the watch. His fingers and tools glided around the watch's inside. He thought of it like art. Needed to put all the right things in the right places. Make it look right. He screwed up a few loose areas, fixed the hands. Nathan flashed a small smile at the watch as he finished. It then vanished as he closed the watch and looked up at the girl. Nathan pushed the button on the side of the watch, and it began to tick once again. He handed it back to the girl, nervous. Running a hand through his hair he spoke, "There you are miss." He swallowed. Giving a small wave to the girl outside the window. She worked the tailoring shop next door. He'd never met her, but she seemed nice enough. Anyway, who was this girl. He'd never seen her before, at least he didn't think. Bennett hopped up on Nathan's shoulder, making a few little noises. He sniffed the air towards the girl. Bennett tilted his head then leaped from Nathan's shoulder onto the girls. Bennett sniffed the girl, curiously walking from shoulder to shoulder.

Sky watched silently, almost facinated as he worked on the watch. She smiled when he handed t back. She brushed the face of the watch with her thumb then looked back up at him. "I'm Sky by the way. My father owns the Muerto ranch." She said smiling. "And you are?" She questioned. She chuckled as his weasel climbed oto her shoulder. She glanced at him. "And who is this?" She chuckled. She brought her hand up and rubbed his head with a finger before returning her gaze to the man. Her green eyes shined as she glanced around the shop.

Nathan flicked his eyes at her, running a hand through his brown hair again. "I'm Nathan. Owner of this junk pile." He said nervously, giving a nervous chuckle. He looked at Bennett now, what a little joker. He watched the girl pet his head gently. "That's Bennett. He's sure taken a liking to you." Bennett sniffed around, poking his nose around. He then sat himself down Sky's  shoulder casually. Nathan gave a nervous smile to the girl, trying to not be nervous but it was pretty obvious. His icy blue eyes met hers for a moment before he got uncomfortable again and looked down. He never wished so much that he wasn't always so nervous around people. Well...not always. Not around friends anyway. At least he thought so. He hadn't had any real friends for years. Since he tucked himself away inside his workshop and rarely talked to anyone. This was probably the longest conversation he's had in a week. "Sky...Very appealing name, miss...if I may say so." Nathan stuttered, rubbing the back of his neck.

Christine Abernando | Chrissie | Silver Heart
"You have one shot. Just one. So make it count."

After about ten minutes of waiting, Chrissie stood up and reached for her notebook. She loved to draw in her spare time, but she had drawn almost everything in the shop by now and she needed some more inspiration. She had a special liking towards drawing people, but it would be strange to just go around asking people if she could draw them. Sighing in exasperation, she pushed the notebook aside and made her way over to her sewing machine. She was in a creative mood, so picked a teal-coloured fabric that matched her eyes and got to work.

Chrissie was roughly 5 minutes into sewing when a loud scraping noise erupted from the once-quietly-humming-machine and it stopped completely. Exhaling slowly and frustratedly, she shook the device. "Stupid piece of-" the soft tinkling sound of the door opening interrupted her. An older woman, around the age of forty, came in. "I was wondering if you could make my daughter a dress. Top quality. I want it to be lavender, lace trimmed with the best silk money can buy." All of this was said in a rush as Chrissie fumbled for a graphite pencil and her notebook. She drew a rough sketch of her idea and held it up so that the woman could see it clearly. "Is this what you are looking for, ma'am?" She asked politely, smiling at the nodded reply. "I want it done by 6 o'clock tonight. Not a second later. I will pay you if I am happy with the results." She briskly turned and left. The young woman stared down at the broken piece of machinery before her. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Slamming a hand down on the table and causing Bella to raise her head in alarm, Chrissie picked up the sewing machine. It was heavier than she had expected and she was very close to dropping it. Mustering up all of her strength, she carried the piece of metal all of the way to the door. Kicking it open with the toe of her boot, she side-stepped to the next door 'gear place'. She pushed the door open with her shoulder and dragged her way to the counter. "Sorry for any interference. Nathan, right?" She greeted, "But I'm in a bit of an emergency and I need a hero like you." She said breathlessly, dropping the broken device on the counter with a dull thud. She turned her head to see another woman next to her, "Oh... Were you being served? I do apologise. I'm just in a bit of a hurry." She apologised sincerely, a stray lock of hair falling into her blue eyes.

Nathan was about to say something more when the door opened. The lady from next door pushed herself through the door. He listened to her words, and he nodded. "Oh, yes. Of course. I'll uh, speak with you later Sky." Nathan turned himself towards the sewing machine. He nodded and went over to take a closer look. It shouldn't be too hard. Nathan went back behind his counter. Taking a few tools he easily opened the top of the machine, looking through the gears and such. His icy blue eyes spotted the issue. A long string of thread managed to find its way into the gears, causing it to back up. Nathan sighed, reaching into his pocket and taking out his dagger. He reached in and cut the string loose. He then went in with a few more tools, for good measure. This thing was like a dinosaur. It took him a good five minutes before Nathan looked up again. "There was a thread caught in the gears. After I got it out I uh, upgraded your machine a bit. I do hope that is okay. It can now run itself faster and with more accuracy, so you won't have to go back and fix loose threads as much." Nathan cleared his throat. He hated talking, but loved talking about machinery. THAT came easy to him. He swallowed, running a hand through his hair.

"I've always wondered what this town would be like without those outlaws..."

Sky turned and saw another womn enter carrying a sewing machine. She smiled at her and reached up to set Bennett back on the counter. She made to the door looking back as Nathan spoke. "I'll pop in again sometime." She said. Sky exited the shop and pulled out the pocket watch to check the time. It was nowhere near noon and she still had money left over. Alot of it at that. Plus her father needed a couple more horses and she could easily tie them to the back of the wagon. She climbed up onto the wagon stumbling a moment but catching her self and slid up on the seat. She clicked her tongue for the horses to move and headed towards the Tobin ranch as she called it. She'd done business with Analyse or at least her father has. That's where she got Kala. She broke the horses into a gallop. It should only take her fifteen minutes to get there from her own house so about 30 she predicted. Sky sighed and continued on the rugged path towards the ranch. She decided she would stop home and unhitch the horses, change and saddle up Kala.

She saw the ranch in the distance and skowed to a trot as she got closer. After a couple of minutes she entered again and skid out of the seat, going into the house with the leather bag of stuff and setting it inside then going back out to the horses. She grab hold of the reins and brought them to the front, leading the horses towards the stable. She stobbed just outside, backing up the horses into a fenced in part with no gate at one part where the wagon is meant to be. She unharnessed the two bay horses and led them to the pasture by their bridles before bringing out Kala. She took a lead and wrapped it around the fence, hitching Kala up in a way so she could go get the tack. She walked into the stable getting a brown leather bridle and straddling it over her saddle. She put her arms under the saddle and lifted it up, walking back out and laying it over the gate. She got the bridle first, sliding in the bit and sliding it over her ears. She pulled her forelock over the top part of the bridle then went back and grabbed the saddle. She threw it over her back and tightened the girth, making it sure it wasn't going to slide off. She then took the reins and led her up to the house, tying her reins on the hitching post there.

Sky walked inside to be greeted by her father this time. "Where ya headin'?" He questioned. "It's a surprise pa.," She said with a smile as she went up the stairs to her room. She opened up her wardrobe and pulled out her jeans, a black blouse and her black cowboy hat along with her boots. She quickly stripped to her undergarments and then got dr4essed once again. She walked to her nighttstand and opened the droor, pulling out her revolver and hunting knife. She holtered her revolver aand slid the knife in her belt before going down the stairs and past her father without another word. Sky stuck her right foot in the stirup and threw her left leg over the mare's back. She pulled the reins loose and grabbed hold and she dug her heels into the mare's side, sending her through the gate at a gallop. She had her lasso on the horn of her saddle where she usually had it as she made her way to the other ranch.

After nearly fifteen minutes she had mde to the ranch. She could see Analyse not too far away and trotted towards her, pulling her hat off her head and restung it in her lap. "Mornin' Analyse," She said politely. She steadied Kala as she climbed off and grabbed her reins. "O know it's such short notice but do you have any horses for sale? No need for them to be trained. My pa is capable." She chuckled.

Analyse Tobin

"This isn't something I love to do, this is something I live to do."

As the 32-year old woman continued across the dusty track that lead through the middle of the ranch she came to a sudden halt - now standing atop a large hill that overlooked the small town below. Her long lashed fluttered as she glanced down at the slow-paced filling streets. Her blue/green/grey gaze rested upon the small silhouettes of people beginning to fill the dusty-town. Everyone seemed like ants from the view she had, hurrying by exiting and entering buildings - the obvious being ontop an equine or sided with their canine friends, it all looked so peaceful despite the buildings and poles covered in wanted posters and the bandits and theives lurking around the corners - it was a great place.

But, her attention was soon pulled from the small town below - loud, bellowing 'choo-choo's' rung out from the distance causing her eyes to run across the land. Her gaze rested upon a wooden track, her head slowly moving to the right follwing the track - the rails seemed to rattle and the sound of chugs began to get louder. Lifting her gaze from the wooden track she glanced up, realising the familiar steam train that passed through delivering goods and often people would hitch a ride in the few coaches at the back. For a few seconds Analyse watched as the steam train began to draw closer - fascination filled the fairly young woman as she watched it swurve around a easy corner and nearer the town in seconds - letting out more echoing sounds.

As soon as the smile had grew on her face it quickly faded, feeling something press against her leg she turned - the pack of cinids standing, starring at the woman ready. She couldn't help but chuckle at the looks on their faces - glancing up at her with their tails wagging and heads tilted, although it was rather cute. Smilign she turned around "Alright gang, let's go wrangle those broncos!" she smiled as she headed towards the stable to grab Stantion and her equipment - her canine group getting food and a drink ready. A medium-sized party would soon arrive and help the group wrangle some Mustangs to tame and auction off.

William Iero
(http://i57BannedImageSite/snm739.jpg)

William unlocked the front door to the small town of Ridgewood's current and only bookstore. It was passed down through the 'Iero' family since the town of Ridgewood was founded nearly a century ago. The bell hanging above the door jingled lightly as Will pushed open the large mahogany door, and let it close behind him. He trudged over to the wall covered in a green and white wall wallpaper where the switch was.

He flicked the light switch on before heading over to the wooden counter where the cash register was, as well as a stool behind it for sitting. He hoisted himself into the chair- still half asleep. Despite the "No Smoking" signs hanged outside and inside the shop, William lit up a cigar and placed it in his mouth.  He rarely listened to signs- especially his own. If he wanted to smoke a cigar this early in the morning- damn right he was going to.

He inhaled and exhaled a puff of smoke, before letting out a tired huff. Hopefully, not too many customers would come in
today so that he could close up shop and leave early. Will forked his fingers through his mess of dark brown locks, trying to wake himself out of 'zombie-mode.'

Sky trotted out of the ranch on Kala, her hat atop her head and her lasso on the horn of her saddle. Once they exited the gates she dug her heels into Kala's sides and got her to a gallop as she made h way back into town. The area was dry and rugged, mostly cactus, dirt and more dirt. She sighed and turned her attention back up ahead. The town came into view in the distance. In a couple minutes she made it into town, slowing to a trot then to a walk as she made it to the stables. She knew there were ought to be horses for sale. Sky threw her left leg over the side of Kala as she dismounted. She grabbed the reins and got them over the mares head before securing it to the hitching post. Her eyes drifted inside as she glanced around. She could see the owner in there and had met the tall man before. Sky walked In through the stable doors and was met by him instantly. "Can I help you?" He questioned. "Oh yes, do you have any horses for sale?" She asked. He motioned for her to follow as he led her down the stalls to the back left. A black stallion was inside. She smiled at the stallion then looked at the owner. "How much?" He furrowed a brow and scratched his chin. "I'll give him to ya for two dollars. Only cause yer pa used to come here and do business often." He muttered. She huffed. That still was way more than she hoped to spend for a horse but she forked it over and open the gate to his stall. "Does he have a name?" She questioned, not taking her eyes from the beautiful horse. "Aye, Fala. Least that's what the old red skin that sold him told me." He muttered. She smiled and took her lasso from where she had attached it to her belt and tied it to his halter. "Thanks." She called back as she made her way out of the stable. She tied the lasso on the horn of her saddle and mounted Kala, pulling the reins free and digging her heels into the mare's side, immediately getting her to a gallop. She soon exited the town for the last time that day and headed back to the ranch.

Turning, she saw a woman order some scotch. She nodded and walked to a barrel, pulling the level down and filled the cup up about 3/4 full. She handed it to the woman, "Here." Mary Ellen was serving some beer when the manager walked up to her. She turned, and he handed her a couple of pennies, "Your part time is over, thanks." She nodded and left, the pennies in her pocket. She saw a man walking into the Iero  bookstore. She walked to the bookstore, looking around for a book. She then found a book called Call of the Wild. It looked old, but she dusted it off, and saw it had a wolf on the front. She walked over to the man (William) and put the book down, "How much for this book?"

Bonnie "the Drifter" Burrows

"Cheers." The girl grunts as she takes a long drink of the alcohol. Now most would grill on her about how drinking while having a hangover was not a great idea but she wasn't one to really care. She blinks as the girl serving her seemed to have finished her shift. She shrugs and finishes her drink and taps the counter with her finger, silently asking for another.

William Iero
(http://i57BannedImageSite/snm739.jpg)

William perked himself upright as the bell hanging above the door rang; signaling someone's arrival. The young lad's brown eyes flickered across a female that had been the first customer of the day."Welcome to Iero's bookstore." William said, trying to sound cheery, but it seemed to just have come out a bit overbearing and exhausted. Even a bit cold.

He put out the cigar on a small ash tray he had placed under the counter, and examined the book in her hand. "Ah, Call of the Wild. Good read." He commented with a goofy grin, before handing it back to her with a shrug. "It's yours." William's voice held no joke, since the book was old and dusty anyways. It's not like he would get more than five cents for a ratty book anyways. It was a friendly gesture, to say the most.

"Nuthin' is more dangerous than a cornered rat."

Mary Ellen nodded, taking the book, "Thanks sir. Here's a tip." She left 3 pennies on his desk and left with the book in her hand. She got on top of Illusion, her horse, and they left for her cottage at a trot. When she arrived she put Illusion in her stable and walked inside. It was a small cottage, with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, and a path leading to the outhouse. She walked to her bedroom. She sat on her bed and opened the book. She started reading and her border collie, Spirit, walked in. "Hi doggy!" She pat Spirits head and the border collie lay down beside her on the bed. Mary Ellen began to read.

Analyse Tobin

"This isn't something I love to do, this is something I live to do."

Whilst the group of canids were eating - getting ready for their day of work - Analyse had set off across the ranch to grab her trusty steed known as Stnaton. Many knew the pair, and the ranch rather well - Analyse was often known as the 'Dr.Dolittle' of the town as wherever she went an animals was sure to follow - vice versa. As the young-ish woman headed up the dirt path she turned her gaze to see Elizabeth out in the fields with another group of dogs that worked on the farm - giving the two a helping hand - it was often hard to count how many they had at times. As she watched up the hill Elizabeth seemed to notice her and raised a hand - waving it back and forth and of course, she returned the gesture, and Beth headed down towards where the group meets.

Focusing her gaze on where she was going Ana hurried towards the stables where the chestnut mustang would be waiting. Placing her two middle fingers in her pockets she continued on her way - hair flowing behind her with the light breezes that filled the west. Everything seemed beautiful, calm and collective - as usual. As the young-ish woman drew nearer the stables she could hear the grunts and whinnies of her equine friends - they were rearing to go and enjoy themselves in the pastures, but today Elizabeth would do that as offered as Ana had switched over the last batch.

Soon enough Analyse entered through the large - already opened - doorway and glared down the middle of the stables. There we'ree quite a few horses in the stables - those being the tamer ones - where as the wild ones remained in a field for the time being. As she strolled down the pathway she soon stopped at the chestnut stallions stable door and smiled - reaching her arms out she grabbed his face gently and kissed the tip of his muzzle "Hey Stanton!" she chuckled as she roughly patted the side of his necktepping back she unlatched the stall door and hurried towards the tack room grabbing his equipment. Whistling the stallion followed her outside.

The day was yet to move on and the hours seemed to slowly be going on, letting out a calming sigh Anna lifted onto the tips of her toes and placed the saddle atop a medium sized fence - putting them in places where retrieving them would be easier. Placing her hands on the horses neck and one near his rear she pushed him softly - this cuasing the mustang to turn. Smiling, she grabbed the blanket and hurled it over his back - soon followed by the saddle and the rest of his other eqiupment.

Not that Stantion was all tacked up and ready to go a relaxed feeling overtook the young woman as she patted his neck once again. Taking a last glance back into the stables she boared her horse - grasping the edges of the saddle and swinging herself atop, her left leg lifting over the stallions side and she plopped gently into the saddle. A smile was instantly on the 32-year olds face as she rested upon the 16.2hh stallion. Leaning forward the brunette grasped the leather reins in her hands and pulled them back - lifting the stallions head slightly. Releasing her right grip Analyse ran it through her hair then wrapped her lasso around the handle. Glaring in the direction they would be going - towards the gate to meet the group - she nodded. With a quick clicking sound and a gentle kick to the stallions sides they set off.

Stantons heavy hooves kicked at the dusty road as they headed towards the opening of the large gates. The small woman bounced lightly in the saddle as stanton hurried down the road - his tail flicking as he shook his head now and then. Turning, she glared at the farm house once again and and curled her tongue - allowing a whistle to echoe through the west. As she predicted all four dogs came bounding out and past the horse - follwed by the dogs Elizabeth had with her. Sometimes it was hard to count how many canines actually worked along side the humans and horses - but it was great company. Kicking stantons sides they excelled into a trot - but quickly stopped when they met the group of five.

Stopping her horse infront of the group she smiled the familiar faces of Tony, Domonic, Mary-Ann, George and Malcolm. They to seeming to have a dog to themselves ready to help - dipping her head in a greeting she looked at Elizabeth "So you alright setting the tame horses out, maybe they'll help thos broncos calm down?" she questioned "Sure am, who you taking?" Elizabeth replied rather happily "Well I'll take Hobson, Fletcher, Jake and Maggie. You can keep Max, Leo, Sally, Charlie, Snooper, Dalilah, Shadow, Riley, Reina, Jasmine and Kiia." she smiled and Elizabeth nodded "Ok, see yas!" she smiled and hurried towards the stables.

Many wondered how the due coped with the amound of dogs they had; Maggie, Jasmine, Leo and Jake were Border Collies, Delilah and Fletcher were German Shepherds, Hobson and Sally are Mastiffs, Reina and Max were Kelpies, Jasmine and Snooper were Hounds and Kiia, Riley and Shadow are mongrels. Although at times this did seem a little much they had twice as many horses along with chikens, goats, bigs, sheep - you name it. All these animals we'ree family to Analyse and she just couldn't get enough of them - they were her life, she had always grown up around them.

Looking down at the team of dogs who were huddles together patiently she smiled, her attention soon turned on the group of equines who seemed to be scraping their hooves against the sandy ground rearing to go. Running her tongue across her dry lips Analyse smiled at her team "Alright, you know the routine and what we do - just stick to that and we'll have no problems!" she spoke - Ana was always a great leader and the team seemed to enjoy her being so. Smiling, she nodded her head and the team set off - all siz horses in a trot - almost a canter and the nine dogs slowly pacing ahead. Analyse jumped higher in the saddle this time - but she was steady and moving with grace.

"If I'm goin' down, I'm goin' down in a blaze of glory."

J i m   C a n t o n

Slouching in his old leather saddle upon his Palomino steed, the man loosely held the reins in one hand, letting his free hand dangle at his side. It had been many long days of travel, but now it seemed he was slowly approaching his destination- a humble little town by the name of Ridgewood. The stallion beneath him blew a tired snort from his dry nostrils as if he knew it was almost time for rest. Spitting some chewing tobacco to the side, Jim lightly patted the horse's golden neck and scooted himself up in the saddle. Not much of a town. Jim observed in his mind as he squinted to see the silhouette of the wooden town on the horizon. Shrugging, he figured he was in no place to complain, and gave Seir's sides a light spurred kick with his heels, urging the stallion into a trot, but not without an annoyed huff from the equine's nostrils. "Now, now, we don't need none 'a 'yer complainin'." Jim scolded the horse as he gathered the reins with his other hand.

It didn't take long for the duo to finally reach the edge of the town, where Jim gently tugged the reins to slow the eager stud to a loose walk. Adjusting the front rim of his Stetson hat and scratching his chin which was shaded by his typical five-o-clock shadow stubble, he took a moment to observe the town and its people. For such a small place, it sure was bustling, and it even had things Jim had only seen in the larger cities out here- such as a bookstore, though it didn't interest him to the slightest. He was here strictly on business, and kept his eyes scanning the small wooden buildings to find the Sheriff's office. Upon locating the small structure at the edge of the town, he noted it in his mind and decided to stop by tomorrow. For now, he needed some down time- which obviously meant finding the nearest saloon. Cheerful music drifted from the corner building with the words 'saloon' plastered above the entrance way of the front porch, bringing a crooked smirk to Jim's dry lips. He pulled Seir up at the hitching post beside a few other horses and hopped out of the saddle. Dust floated up from beneath his boots as he landed on the dirt ground, and he slid the reins over Seir's head, proceeding to tie the horse at the post, then casually stroll in through the double swinging doors of the saloon like he'd been here his whole life.

Though he didn't pause upon entering, Jim did a surveillant sweep of the crowd of people in the lively bar as he made his way to the counter. Typical saloon scene- drunken ranchers hardly able to stand flirting with cheap floozies at the tables. Not a scene he wasn't used to. He stopped at the bar counter and leaned on it with his elbow and forearm. "What'll it be?" The barkeep quickly asked as he cleaned the inside of a glass with a rag. "Whiskey." Jim impatiently replied, slapping a few coins onto the bartop. The barkeep nodded and slid the coins into his hands before disappearing beneath the counter and then rising up again with a bottle and a mug in his hand. Jim quickly downed a few experienced gulps of the rough alcohol, casually leaning on the countertop and keeping to himself, though out of habit and instinct, he listened well to the goings on around him.

Bonnie had been drinking for roughly a hour now and was becoming fed up with the drunk men behind her trying -and failing- to woo the woman. She mumbles something and rubs her face with one of her hands. She finishes the scotch in her glass. "Another one." She grunts as the bartender gives her another. As she drinks she looks to the induvidual next to her. Unaware of his bounty hunter rank, the female outlaw wasnt interested in him. As she finishes the glass in her hand, she growls at the bartender for another. The man sighs quietly as he obliges.

As Jim finished off his mug of whiskey, movement next to him caught his attention. Glancing over, he raised an eyebrow at the woman who threw back drink after drink. God knows how many she'd already had before he noticed her, but from the looks of her, it had to be a lot. The man rubbed his scruffy face and thumbed back the front rim of his Stetson. There was something- different about this woman, and he could tell she wasn't just some farmer's daughter. Feeding his intuition, he slightly turned his head towards her. "For a lady, you sure are downin' a lot. Better be careful. Lots of fella's 'round this dirty saloon'd be quite willin' to take advantage of a nice lady like 'yerself who can't tell her right hand from her left from all that drinkin'." Jim bluntly stated as he casually threw back a sip of his newly refilled mug of whiskey. " 'Sides, since when does a woman find it alright to drown herself in a bottle 'a liquor, anyway?" He added, raising an eyebrow at the woman who sat at the bar beside him.

Bonnie "the Drifter" Burrows

Bonnie ruffles her shaggy brunette hair which still has straw stuck in it as she looks at the male who had just spoken to her. He was one to talk, seeing he was drinking himself. And what did he say about women drinking? "Sexist son of a bitch..." She mumbles before finishing her glass and asking for another, just to get it. As she drinks her fresh glass she huffs at his comment about men. "I can look after myself, mister." She says, her words a little slurred "Also, what is the matter with some... excitment?" She asks after a couple of moments, more interested in her scotch than the man next to her. She has a look around and was satisfied to see no wanted posters of herself. She turns her attention back onto her drink.

The woman's reply brought a quick smirk to Jim's face and he rose his mug back up to his lips to take another quick sip of whiskey. "Alright, alright. Don't say I didn't warn 'ya." He responded as he set his mug down on the countertop. At the stranger's second reply, he turned his head towards her again and lowered a brow. "Ain't nothin' wrong with excitement, miss- 'pendin' on what it is you find excitement in, that is." He added, a hint of amusement laced in his gravely voice. He paused to quickly gulp down the remainder of the liquid in his mug, and with that, he flicked a coin at the barkeep, tipped his Stetson at the woman, and turned as if preparing to leave.

"If I'm goin' down, I'm goin' down in a blaze of glory."

J i m   C a n t o n

Jim didn't bother to look back at the alcoholic woman at the bar, and instead slipped through the swinging double doors that creaked when they were pushed open. Boots clumping on the wooden floorboards of the saloon's front porch, he ignored the cackling of a couple drunken men nearby and trotted down the couple front steps and back onto the dirt ground. His palomino stallion lazily raised his head to greet the man, blowing a soft snort through his nostrils. "How 'bout we find us a place to stay for the night, then we'll get down to business in the mornin'." Jim murmured to the equine as he patted his neck and untied the reins from the hitching post. From the corner of his eye, he noticed the woman he'd conversed with mounting a horse outside the saloon and wobbling a bit in the saddle. The sight only made him blow out a rough snicker and roll his eyes. Woman's gonna drink herself right into the ground. He thought to himself while he slid his left boot into Seir's stirrup then swung his other leg over and heaved himself into the saddle.

The giddy stallion let out a nicker and tossed his head as Jim light tugged the reins to turn him around. Still, there was something- off about that woman from the saloon, he noted mentally, eyeing her as she rode for the town's exit. The nearby sound of numerous clopping hooves- the sound the woman seemed to be heading to- didn't really interest him, though. Clicking his tongue, he squeezed Seir's sides with his boots, urging the stud into a lazy walk down the town's main central street. It seemed the activity had died down a bit, but it didn't take long to find a tiny inn and a stable to keep the horse. Jim paid the stableboy and handed him Seir's reins. "You take good care of 'im, now." He muttered to the younger man, almost threateningly. The stableboy nervously nodded at the easily intimidating man and quickly led Jim's horse into the stable. After settling the payment at the inn, Jim was led to a tiny little room, fit with only a cot and a wooden chest. It was suitable for a one-night accommodation, and provided a great view of the main street below. Kicking off his dirty boots, he reclined with a relaxed sigh on the uncomfortable bed. As uncomfortable as it was, it sure beat sleeping on the ground.

Analyse Tobin

"This isn't something I love to do, this is something I live to do."

The fairly large group set off across the sandy terrain, their horses galloping at an even pace as each rider bounced around in the saddle - wind through their hair and the west in their heart. The large pack of dogs bounding off ahead, already aware of their days work of helping capture a few brumbys. A trail of dust clouds had formed behind the group as the heavy hooves of horses hit the ground - causing it to almost some what shake. The Silver-Spurs Rach coming out of distance as they passed by the small town of Ridgewood - despite being a small town it held a fair amout of stores, houses and people.

As they passed the small town Analyse glared to her left seeing a few people turning heads, a few children had already hurried over and watched the mustang-wranglers pass with interest filling their faces. A smile grew across the womans face revealing her pearly whites, dipping her head she pulled around her arm and tilted her hat with a dip to her head - whenever they passed the town children always seemed interested, like they looked up to them or something. That caused happiness to fill the cowgirl to think others actually appreciated what they done - but she knew some would be against their choices.

After passing the town it only took 15 to 20 minutes to arrive at the large fields and mountains where the horses ran free, but Analyse didn't just capture them for her good. The amount of brumbys running loose had rapidly increased from the constant repeoduction from the mares and stallions - the herds increased and the land was beginning to be destroyed from the hooves and the constant grazing. This mustang wrangling had started off with her of course owning the larges ranch around the west. She made a pack with the Natives to capture any injured, old, young or lone mustangs from the wild - and she agreed to do so. Ever since doing this the numbers had decreased and the land is picking itself up - the money she makes goes half on the ranch and the horses and the rest onto keeping the lands safe along with giving some to the natives.

Analyse pulled on Stantons reins which caused the stud to slow down his pace - the group getting the signal and quickly slowing down. A light, quiet whistle blew past the womans lips which encouraged the dogs to halt and retrieve back to the beings on horse back. "Alright folks, we'll keep up with our regula' routine snaggin' any old, young, injured or lone brumbys. Split up, we'll each take our dogs and obviously meet at the main lan'. Got it?" she questioned "Yeah, sure doo!" nodding her head they set off.

For a few seconds Anna stood still, her weight spread equally across the wester saddle as she examined the surroundings. Her team were already gone from sight and searching for the broncos with their companions - Analyse always took a fairly large pack of dogs to help out it seemed to make things easier. Running her tongue across her dry lips she glanced at the ground hoof prints lead around a small canyon and up to the hills if she predicted right they would be there - afterall these tracks weren't fresh.

Nodding hear head Analyse clicked her tongue and kicked at the stallions side causing him to rear up - kicking out his front legs then slamming them to the ground and instantly shooting off. Whislting the dogs followed. Lightly the 3e-year old bounced up and down in the saddle once again, her hair blowing back with the light breeze as the steed charged forward - her muscles relaxed and her eyes fixed onto where they were going, she was confident in the four-man pack following behind her close enough but enough to stay out of reach of being kicked. Leaning forward in the saddle a little she lifted her hand and tipped her hat down. Now entering the canyon she hurried through.

Sky entered back to the ranch, the stallion she had bought had stayed with her the whole time. She pulled the reins lightly, making the mare slow to a walk as she neared the barn, knowing that was where her father would be since it was milking time. She jumped off of Kala's back and hitched her to the hitching post outside the barn before going back and untying the stallion from her saddle. She led him into the barn and smiled at her father. "Here's your surprise." She said brightly, revealing the stallion to him. He merely glanced up then looked back to his work solemnly. She could tell he was happy but something was nagging athim. Sky led the stallion to an empty stall and filled up his water before feeding him. She then walked back over to her father, satisfied that he was done with his task and grabbed him by the arm. "What are you doin'?" He grumbled as she drug him to the house. She opened up the door to the house and pulled him in then closed it. "What is wrong with you?" She demanded. "I'm not a kid anymore. I deserve to know." She said, staring him in the eyes. Her father looked at her solemnly before speaking again. "You of all people know I'm doing my best right now. I'm actually making more than you think. I've just been havin' ta give half of it to bandits. I never wouldnhave done it if they hadn't threatened your life." He said. Sky's eyes widened as she stared at her father and listened to his story. It seemed it went on and on. "I don't have wait they're asking and they're comin' today." He said. Right after he spoken she could hear the sound of many hooves pounding the earth. She ran upstairs and grabbed her gun, strapping it to her right hip and making sure her knife was in her belt then ran back down before following her father out.

The leader of the small posse of sorts was a well built man, and he actually looked pretty young, much like the others. He could see him looking around then stared her father dead in the eye. "Where's the money?" He said. His voice sounded gruff and threatening. "I don't have it." He said straight. "You already know that.." He added, staring at him once more. "And you know the penalty for not paying." He growled, one of his posse members pointed their revolver at her. "Death to the girl." He smirked. "Please don't do this. I'll pay I promise. You'll have it by tomorrow, honest." He pleaded. She cursed under her breath. Before the posse leader responded, Sky drew her revolver and pointed at the man who had a revolver pointed at her. She noticed the leader look over at her. "She has fire in her eyes." He laughed. "I'll agree but it better be here if ya want her alive." He said threateningly. "Leave her. Lets go." He muttered to his posse and the imediately galloped back out of te ranch. Sky turned to her father. "You need to tell me about these things. I could've helped you." She grumbled, disappearing back into the house, leaving her father on the porch.

Terrible. Just terrible. x.x But that actually happened another RP of mine in a dif game. xD))

Nathan sighed after the dress lady had left after giving him a polite thank you. He ran a hand through his hair and sat back down in the stool. Hopefully that one girl would pop in again. He somewhat enjoyed her company. Bennett sniffed and trotted up his arm, sitting on his shoulder. Nathan flicked his eyes up at Bennett then back down at his sketch. The gun design seemed so easy, but had not yet been accomplished by anyone. It would be a great sell if he got it to work. Nathan drew it very nicely, almost 3D looking. With a small smile, he realized he was done. Various parts and insides were drawn on the sketch paper. He stood, strolling into the back room. Nathan grabbed a bunch of tools and parts, walking back out. Sitting back down, he idly played with the parts to give himself ideas on how he would go about making a first model of the gun. While silently thinking to himself, Bennett ran amongst the various parts and tools on Nathan's desk. He heard horse hooves patter outside, and mumbles of men. Two large bulky men sauntered into the store. One had a mustache, and one with a beard, but both dirty looking. One of them had a liquor bottle in his hand, the other already smelling of it.

Nathan flicked his eyes up, but didn't move from his spot. He then looked back down, uninterested. The two went up to his desk. The one with the mustache slammed his hand against the counter. "I recon we have little orphan boy here." He said fiercely, spitting a spot of chewing tobacco on the floor. Nathan didn't pay any attention, and went on with his work. The mustached bandit growled, "I was talking to you, dirt." With that, the man swung his hand across Nathan's face. Nathan gasped, and flew to the side, hitting the wall. The bandits chuckled, boots thudding as they walked over to him. Nathan shook his head, brain rattled. Before he could even stand up, one of the bandits, the one with the beard, picked him up by his shirt collar. Smiling, the bandit drew his fist back and punched him square in the face. Nathan fell into the floor again, his right eye throbbing. The bandits chuckled loud, high giving each other. Nathan silently got himself up. The bearded bandit turned around right when Nathan whipped out his blade. Before the bandit could respond, Nathan slipped around him, stabbing him in the stomach. The bandit hollered loud, falling into the wall and sliding down. He got out his small silver pistil, pointing it at the one who was standing up. The bandit looked startled. "Now kid..." Nathan's eyes were fire, and he looked as if he were ready to kill anyone who dare touch him. "Don't ever call me Orphan Boy."  With this, Nathan lowered his aim and shot the bandits foot. He yelled even louder than the other, grabbing for his foot. "Get. Out." Nathan growled. The man with the bulleted foot helped his other friend up and they both hobbled out of the shop.

"If I'm goin' down, I'm goin' down in a blaze of glory."

J i m   C a n t o n

After he had taken his boots off, Jim took a moment to stretch before rising back to his feet and sliding the room's only window open facing the street and the shops on the other side. He'd always enjoyed the breeze, and this small room was pretty stuffy, anyway. The man cracked his knuckles and casually reclined calmy back on his rented cot in the town's small inn, the front rim of his Stetson pulled down over his eyes, and his hands behind his head as he relaxed. Just as he began to get comfortable to get at least a little bit of shut-eye, there was a loud commotion echoing from a small shop that was across the street from his inn, quickly making him swing his legs over the side of the bed and stuff his feet back into his boots- mostly out of instinct. Instantly, the idea of trouble brewing snapped across his quick mind as he pulled his coat onto his torso. As always, he double checked his sides with a quick pat to ensure his two pistols were in place, and before long he had shouldered himself out of his room's door.

Adjusting his belt, Jim quickly trampled down the two porch steps of Ridgewood's inn and onto the street. He kept his gait slow and calm to not bring any attention to himself or to the possible scene he was about to walk into. Reaching into his pocket, he casually pulled out a slim cigar, lighting the tip with a piece of flint he always kept for the purpose of campfires. Blowing a subtle puff of smoke from his lips, he clenched the cigar between his teeth as he approached the small shop. When he was a mere few feet away, he slowed his pace, rather in surprise, as he observed two burly men stumble out of the front doors as if they were in pain. This observation only furthered his natural suspicion something had gone down. Out of instinct, he kept one hand loosely placed over the pistol strapped to his right hip. With his free hand, he shoved the front door open, stopping inside and raising a brow at the young man who was picking himself up off the floor- a gnarly black eye painted on his face. "What happened here, boy?" Jim murmured gruffly, shifting his weight to one foot casually.
