Title: Two Kingdoms one war {Drago rider rp open/accepting}

Story
In a land far away their were two kingdoms. The kingdom of Faulker, and the kingdom of Talhigh.
  The people of Faulker are dark and mysterious, their blood is the color of cold. While the people of Talhigh are protective and selfless. Their blood is the color of warm. But a war has started the king of Faulker has mysteriously passed and the queen accuses the people of Talhigh for the kings sudden death. Finding a way to destroy the Talhighians. The Faulkerians have raided dragon nest and stolen the eggs to raise as their own. A spy from Talhigh has caught wind of the Faulkers plan and has warned the royal family.. Upon hearing this new the king and queen obtain dragon eggs and raise them for their new army.

Hello youngling you have been chosen to be a dragon rider. Your people are waiting for your choice well you help protect your Kingdom?

Talhigh
The kingdom of Talhigh is on a island in the ocean it is not faraway from the shore only about a days flight with smaller islands scattered through out. Caves appear around the many islands perfect places for training or a nap during the warm part of the day.

Faulker
The kingdom of faulker is located in the mountains it is surrounded by spiked peaks and deep valleys. there a small caverns rarely found around the castle but near the edge of the borders there are valleys that are nice a warm during the cold nights.

Scott Anthony and Cao

Scanning the Faulker border from above, Scott and Cao kept a sharp gaze on the ground as they soared over the mountains. Of course there wouldn't be much activity here besides some remote villages, for the mountain slopes were steep and treacherous, something you would not want to go through. Although he was of Talhigh blood, Scott often found himself wondering what it would be like living in the Faulker lands.
After making sure everything was safe the two whirled back towards the sea. "Cao, do you feel that?" he asked quietly, the hairs on the back of his neck were standing on end, the foreboding feeling was driving him crazy. The gold dragon rumbled beneath him, small trails of smoke coming from his nostrils "That I do Scott. Someone seems to be following us."

Ith Looked at the border between Talhigh and Faulker. She was sent to keep watch on this side of the border incase any of the Faulkerians decided to cross. "Paranax do you see anything?" Ith asked as she looked up at her partner from where she was sitting. "No," her dragons voice replied as she sighed and went back to looking around.
  Streching she stood up and climbed onto her dragons back. "Let's take a closer look." Ith said as Paranax jumped off o the cliff and quickly unfolded he wings as she was lifted up. "I can't think of anyone who would want got cross the border today." Ith sighed as her dragon circled around the small edge of the mountians.

"Alduin it seems we have been spotted" she said looking at him wating for him to reply. "I can see that aswell" he said then dove going lower tword the ground the. Landing not far from where they had seen another rider.

Scott took a moment to stand up on Cao's small leather saddle, looking behind them with renewed anxiety. It was bad enough that someone from Faulker had followed them over, not to mention it was in his job description to prevent these kinda of things. "Shall we take a closer look?" He asked the dragon as he sat back down, and he felt Cao rumble beneath him once more. The two wheeled back around and as Cao dove towards the dark dragon and rider, Scott drew his sword. Although it would be useless if he was on his partner's back, he was skilled in catching a ride on other dragons while fighting, often leaping off his own onto his enemies. Cao let out a ground shaking roar as they neared the other rider and dragon.

Seeing Paranax stop in mid air Ith looked toward her dragons face. "What's wrong?" She asked as her dragon dove down to a small island on the edge of the border. "I heard a roar." Paranax growled as she landed and looked around the area. Ith looked surprised as she begun to look around. "Should we go see where it came from?" She asked placing a map in the side pouch of Paranax's saddle.
"I suppose." Her dragon growled as she flapped her wings and flew in the direction of where the roar came. "We need to be carful Paranax, where still scouts." She called over the rushing wind.

Alduin landed and quickly shoved jade off his back seeing the other dragon and rider "zese seraly vhat the enimeys" he growled glairing at the other dragon. "Alduin! Zese surue!" She yelled taking out her sword rushing to see the other dragon and rider.

Scott stood in the saddle as Cao dove, and when they reached the ground he jumped off before landing quite lightly in the soft grass. "Hello Faulker. " he growled, approaching the girl with a scowl on his face "What are you doing crossing the border?" He tossed his sword from hand to hand, and then ran his fingers through dirty blonde locks, pushing the hair out of his face. "Can't believe they're sending little kids to do their dirty work, how old are you, 12?" Behind him Cao carefully studies the opposing male. The dark dragon was younger and less experienced, at least 3000 years behind the gold dragon. His chest vibrated with powerful growls as he rose up to his full height, towering over the humans and the other dragon. Smoke trailed from his mouth and his eyes narrowed in anticipation of combat.

Ith guided her dragon to a near by island so they could stay out of sight. As Paranax landed Ith slide off her dragon and walked behind a boulder so she could watch without being seen. "Looks like a Fualkerian" Paranax growled as she lowered herself to the ground. "Can you tell who's down there with them?" She questioned looking over the boulder. "I can't tell from this angle, if I get a bit closer maybe." Paranax whispered as she unfolded her wings. "Wait they could be surprised by a dragon without a rider." She said looking up at her.
"It would be safer for you to stay here." She said jumping into the air.  Gliding to a island a bit closer, "Paranax." She said watching her dragon glide off.

And I have a job to attend to so if you don't want that blond hair to turn bloody I sujest you and skippy over there leave" she growled with a bit of a laugh as her dark red hair got in her face then flying out of the way. "Meselvie, zenteros zentro" Alduin growled to the other dragon (translation- skum, move along)

The elder dragon roared at his opponent's comment, getting ready to pounce, but Scott raised his hand. "Not yet my friend." Then turning again to the girl he leaned against his sword with a small smirk on his face. "So you are a spy eh?" He stated, "We could get a good amount of money for turning you in, or you can turn your little dragon around and scoot back to where you came from. Your choice" He looked up to Cao, but found him distracted and looking over towards the eastern islands. "What's wrong Cao?" The golden dragon growled lightly "We are not the only ones here. There is another dragon coming"

She clenched her teeth in anger and saw her opponents dragon look back. "Serosin enfrtator?" Alduin raised his head to look. "Blondie I'm not going anywhere so if you want me somewhere your gonna have to fight for it" she growled gripping her sword tighter ready for his reaction.

Giving the girl a predatory grin, Scott approached, wary of her dragon, but bowed in front of her. "Make the first move m'lady. I insist" he then rose back up and readied his sword, waiting for her to strike. While his master prepared to fight, Cao craned his neck before spotting the smaller dragon gliding closer and closer to them. From his position he could tell that the dragon was a female and most likely of Talhigh, but he didn't want to take any chances so with a flap of his great wings he took off, shooting towards the darker female. As he approached, the dragon's scent became clear. Definitely Talhigh, so he wheeled around to once again join Scott in the tussle on the small island.

Her eyes narrowed and she swing her sword at his shoulder aiming to crack his collar bone if lucky. Alduin watched the other dragon take off and come back then watched jades swing. -this is gonna be a disaster- he thought.

Seeing that the golden dragon had spotted her Paranax flapped her wings to stay a bit away. Once the dragon turned she sniffed the air to see if they were from Talhigh. Upon catching his scent she quickly flew back to her rider and landed beside her. "They are from Talhigh and I am assuming Faulker." Ith looked at her dragon as she spoke. " Then do we go and see who they are?" Ith questioned as she climbed onto Paranax's saddle. Nodding the dragon flapped her wings and flew closer to them but stayed a safe distance just incase they were going to attack.
Landing a few meters away from the two Ith looked to see if she could tell who was who. Seeing the dragon that Paranax said was from Talhigh she looked at the dragons rider and watched as he seemed to prepare to fight a girl from Faulker. Paranax growled as the girl swung her sword at the boy.

Cao glanced down at Aludin "Shall we stay out of this?" He rumbled quietly, knowing that Scott would not inentionally hurt the girl, he was more worried about her actually getting a blow in. Then he noticed that the other dragon, now with a rider on her back, had landed a few feet away and was observing the scene. Scott on the other hand quickly dodged the girl's attack, ducking under the blade of the sword before his blade connected with hers as he pared it away. He gave her a small smirk "Come on, don't be shy." He chuckled dryly "Hit me."

"Have it your way" she threw out her sword and took out two daggers and lunged herself at him. She threw a sideways kick aiming for his head. "Zunser sa sanrador" Alduin said to the other dragon then looked to see there was another dragon and rider not far away (translation- na it's fun to watch)

Scott just barely made it out of her way, he leaned forward and felt the toe of her boot graze just through his hair. "You missed." He said lightly, "Come on sweetheart, I know you can do better than this." He made a mock swing with his sword, purposely missing by a couple inches before he danced back again. Cao nodded "My name is Cao." He then watched as his master dodged another blow "What do you think the outcome will be?" He asked, looking down at the smaller dragon while keeping an eye on the newcomers who had yet to do anything out of the ordinary.

Growling, Cao watched as Scott went down and the girl placed a knife at his throat "I'm sure he will be fine..." He said quietly, but he still stood, ready to pluck the girl off if things took a turn for the worst. He was slightly agitated now, tail twitching back and forth as he watched the fight play out. Scott looked up at the girl with a small smile "Ah! You got me!" He whispered, referring to the small rivulet of blood seeping out from a stinging cut just underneath his chin. It didn't hurt actually, the hardest part was when she tackled him, for with her body weight on top of him, it felt like he had been run over by a horse on the rocky ground.

Walking forward Paranax watched as the two riders fought. She watched just a few meters from them. Ith jumped off of Paranax's saddle and watched as the girl seem to have the boy pinned. Thinking she looked over to the other two dragons and stepped back a bit. The dragoness walked up to the other dragons as she glanced back to make sure her rider was ok. "Hello" She said looking at them her amber eyes glinting with uncertainty.
Looking at the riders she gulped when the boy had blood trickle down his neck. Digging into her side pouch Ith toke out a small knife and placed it against her side in chase she might have to defend herself.

She put the blade closer to his neck then looked to see another rider "vensatori pasentro!" She growled (translation- reinforcements, whoos!) her bright blue eyes went back to the boy then to Alduin and the other dragon. "Give me one good reson not to slit your throat?" She said looking him in the eyes with anger.

Scott eyed the new rider out of the corner of his eye, and then the knife dug deeper into his neck and he choked slightly. The blood began to flow more freely now, dripping down to the ground in long red threads. " I didn't call for reinforcements if that's what you're thinking." He stated "And you shouldn't kill me because....." He thought for a second before smiling "Because I'm gorgeous?" Cao gave the small female dragon a nod before he turned to Aludin "I'm going to end this now." He bounded over to the scuffle and picked up the girl by the shirt gently, carrying her away from Scott who decided to remain on the ground as he caught his breath.

Ith walked up to the boy and looked down at him. " Hi" she said as she held out a hand to help him up. Paranax watched as the dragon carried the girl away from his rider. Glancing over at the dark dragon she stood up and walked over to him. " I believe your rider got how should I say it." She said thinking of the word, "Carried away." She said finally before walking over to her rider. (sorry its short)

"Can't lie about that, you are a bit cute" she crossed her arms and laughed a bit. "Ya I'll come quietly" she smirked as a plan formed in her head and looked to Alduin who was looking at them. "Zeroisen vaselo" he laughed shaking his head looking at her.

Scott groaned and sat up, gingerly touching his throat. His fingers came back bloody and he cringed slightly, as he did not like seeing his own blood. He stood and staggered slightly, bending over at the hips as blood continued to drip from his wound. He was slightly light headed, probably from a mix of lack air and loss of blood. Cao carefully put the girl down at Aludin's feet "I'm sorry about that" he growled.

Alduin looked at the strange girl and growled a bit befor laying down to get a better look at her. "Zeniserot" (translation- I would say so) he laughed a bit and looked at the boy. "Desornit" he laughed (blondie) then scooted Jade closer to him "Alduin sernios" she said pushing away from him

Cao trotted over to his master, bending down to look at his cuts "It's okay Cao, just some paper cuts." He smiled and climbed up onto the dragon's leather saddle. Cao came over, giving a nod to Aludin and glaring at the girl slightly "I see our dragons have become friends he rasped, looking at the other dragon's rider with a blank expression. He also looked back at the female dragon and her rider "Who are you?" He said, voice rough. Cao hummed slightly and Scott relaxed a tiny bit when he realized that they were of Talhigh descent.

"Serosif vansero zentir jade" Alduin looked at his rider as it seems  he had a smirk on his face. "Versioen Alduin" she growled throwing a dagger at the boy hoping to hit him but the dagger cut a section of his blond hair. She laughed as it hit the ground, then heard Alduin laugh aswell.

Scott reached up and pulled on the short section of his hair "Thanks, I was planning to cut it anyways, it gets in my eyes too often." He grinned and rubbed Cao's neck, the sandpaper texture rough against his skin. "You can come to the city with me and face charges or you can turn around and go back home" he said turning to the girl with a serious expression. "It's your choice now."

"Sounds fun, sence I ain't much of a city person" she laughed leaning on Alduin. He lowered his head to where his head was now on her right shoulder with his smooth scails brush agenst her soft skin. "Veners Von serno?" He asked looking at the boys dragon  a bit woried (where will I be?)

Unfolding her wings the dragoness shot into the sky and quickly turned to wait for the other riders. " That was very interesting, wasn't it." She said patting her dragons neck softly. "Very" She grumbled watching the dark dragon wondering how he will react to his rider being charged.

Scott shrugged "Alright then." He then saw the other Talhigh take off. Cao looked to Aludin "You will be placed in the ward. It's not as bad as it sounds. Scott once got in trouble with the castle guards and I was put there until he could finish all of the paperwork." With that he leapt into the air, unfurling his great wings and soared towards the clouds, wings beating powerfully. Scott was slumped in the saddle, leaning against his dragon's shoulders "You got this handled Cao?" The dragon rumbled in response and he nodded "Alright, I'm going to doze of here in a minute. Don't drop me."

Alduin had a sadish look on his face and knocked Jade over making her land In between his frunt legs "versendierwas zerintonvep Jade" (what have you gotten us into) he growled a bit "garoternzer fertinzent" (I'm just doing my job) she said looking up at him then to the rider again.

Watching the dragon take off she patted Paranax to fly a bit further toward the Faulkerian dragon and rider. Feeling her dragon fly away a bit she sighed and yawned. "Wonder what happened to that other boy?" Paranax muttered as she continued to flap her wings to stay in the air.

But Glory does it because she can change the color of her scales.  The sunlight makes her scales bright and more vivid, as well as making her smarter, less grumpy, and even less hungry. Glory can also change her scales to match her surroundings or to pass as other dragons. Below is a spoiler list of the colors Glory can turn and what they mean.

She looked at Alduin as he looked down at her and grinned. "I know that look on your face" she growled as a waft of bad air came tword her when he moved his tail. "Ferizeng" (smell) he laughed pinning his rider so she couldn't get up.

Rose stood on a tower, a blue Dragon beside her, as she scanned the kingdom. Glory grumbled, her scales changing into a baby blue, meaning she was calm. "You want sun time?" Rose smiled as the Dragon lay down across the tower, she scales began changing colors as she began snoring loudly. Her vibrant scales began turning from Orange to pink, then to blue, then to purple. Rose sat against the wall, watching her dragon's scales turn into magnificent colors.

Cao grinned when he heard the light snores of his rider. Scott should have known better than to fall asleep in the saddle, for he had done it many times and every time it ended the same way. Rising a bit higher than the others, Cao suddenly did a barrel roll, dumping Scott from his back, waking the boy up quite violently. As he fell, Scott shouted angrily, cursing the golden dragon while plummeting through the cold air "Cao! Cao you *bleep bleep bleepity bleep* Cao hovered for a moment before diving back down to catch him, grabbing the boy with his claws, he tossed him back up into the saddle.

She heard the boy cursing at his dragon and laughed through her bent elbow to block out the smell of his 'stank' she  took her arm away from her face  as the smell went away. "Gransetory alduin?"(what now Alduin) She asked looking at him "garoternzer vesar zaneten" (you have to face what you got us into) he said looking down at her. "Haroezt vensador" (your in this with me) she layed on his right leg closing her eyes slowly falling asleep.

Laughing as the boy cursed at his dragon she looked at Paranax as her dragon started to dive toward the ocean. "You hungery already." She mused as the dragon quickly drew up from the water a sliver fish in her claws. " When is it never time to fish." She grinned tossing the fish into the air and snapping her jaws closed around it as she swallowed. Standing up on her dragons back she looked at the clouds in the sky.
"Wonder if we should be getting back." She said as her dragon dove down to get another fish. But this time instead of eating it she hit it toward the golden dragon and his rider.

Alduin gently set his head on jades chest for comfert and to keep her from freezing threw the night knowing it was only the early afternoon, she ushily would sleep then to the middle of the day the next day.

"I hate you, stupid little dragon." Scott muttered, clinging to the saddle angrily while the dragon chuckled lightly, flapping his wings steadily. "No you don't, you are just upset because humans can't grow wings" Scott was about to retort when a fish flopped out of no where, smacking him in the side of his head. "What the heck?" He cried, looking down at the silvery thing which was now falling back towards the ocean. Cao grinned and took the chance to go into a nose dive, speeding after his falling meal "Cao! What is wrong with you?! Cao!" Scott shouted as he was almost flung off once more. The golden dragon caught the fish just before if hit the water and rose back up. The boy on his back was shaking now, from anger or fright it was hard to tell as he began to yell at the dragon about being reckless and a little lizard.

"ALDUIN!" She yelled as he had fallen asleep and the weight of his head was crushing her ribs. He quickly got up from her yell, he jumped back seeing her weezing for air. "Jade? Verizorsentidoraf?" (JADE? Are you ok?) she rolled onto her side felling her ribs where almost crushing her lungs.

Rose was about to leave the tower when she heard screaming she scrambled up and looked over the walls. A man was falling from his Dragon, while yelling and cursing at him. The Dragon swooped down and caught the man safely. She sighed in relief, while Glory turned yellow, amusement. "You think that's funny?" Rose looked at the Dragon, who's scales had turned back to blue. The Dragon nodded, smiling. Then Glory stood up, and motioned for Rose to get on. The girl got on and Glory took off headed toward the man and his Dragon. "Where did that fish come from?" Rose watched as a fish hit the man in the head. When the fish fell, the golden Dragon nose dived, then caught the fish. Glory approached them and Rose asked the man (Scott), "Are you OK? You seem a bit shaken.."

Scott looked up quickly from scolding his dragon to see yet another rider flying besides him. Cao rumbled his okay and Scott relaxed a smidge. "Yeah. I will be fine as long as this stupid lizard doesn't drop me again." The golden dragon chuckled and the boy smacked his shoulder "I'm serious Cao! I'm still bleeding out up here!" He shouted, touching his neck before smearing the blood onto the dragon's cheek. Cao growled in disgust, but nodded anyway. "Fine. I won't drop you any more." Without another word, Cao flung the fish that he had cradled in his claws into his mouth with a loud snap.

Jade rolled onto her side in pain not able to breath, Alduin quickly picked her up by the shirt and took off to find help not knowing what else to do. "A..Alduin! What---are you doing?!" She yelled trying to breath. He flew up and saw the boy from before and started to fly over to him but stoped seeing another rider. He thought for a moment an still went.

Scott was about to comment on Cao's terrible table manners but went silent when he heard shouting. Turning around, he saw the rider and dragon from before, only this time the dragon was carrying her by the shirt. Cao seemed distressed and flew towards them "What's wrong Alduin?" He asked, eyeing the girl. Scott meanwhile stood and took her from the dark dragon, setting her down on Cao's broad shoulders. Lifting her shirt hesitantly, he saw no signs of damage besides some minor bruising, meaning she was having a panic attack. "Hey..." He said quietly "Hey listen to me. Calm down and take deep breaths, it's all in your head, calm deep breaths."

"No!" She yelled breathing faster as it was harder to calm down when she saw him. "Vensatro!!" She yelled holding her chest as Alduin landed somewhere leaving her with the other rider and his dragon.

Hearing yelling Ith looked over to see the girls dragon headed down somewhere. She looked over at Paranax as her dragon flew over to them. "What happened?" She asked looking at the girl as she seemed to be breathing quite fast.

Scott growled and took a step back, giving the girl some room "She's having a panic attack, and I don't think my presence is helping." But instead of waiting, he crouched back down again, placing a hand over her mouth so she would have to breathe deeper. "Come on, breathe." He whispered "Just breathe."

She squeezed her eyes closed trying to breath then slowed down her breathing. She covered her eyes with her arm whipping the tears from her face and pushed the boys hand away from her mouth. The sat up and looked at him a bit blurrily. "Granberito"(thank you) she said looking at him a bit better then hugging his neck.

Scott wiped his hands on his trousers, and then was taken aback when he felt arms being wrapped around his neck. Startled he began to push her away, but decided not to when he felt her clinging "Oh, um you're welcome?" He muttered, his statement sounding more like a question. He sat back, waiting for her to let go.

Scott eyes the girl before saying something to Cao, to which he got a small agreement. Landing, he stabbed her knife and sword into the soil. "No I'm not, I'm giving you the chance to leave now and take this as a warning." He picked her up off of Cao and set her down on the ground "You were lucky. Not all guards are this forgiving" he said before Cao shot up into the air.

She let out a sigh and sat down pulling one of her daggers out of the ground as Alduin walked up beside her, "versintld" (you like him) he laughed pushing her a bit with his snout "kensertl hernd vestnf" (no, well ya, I don't know) she growled and stuttered at the same time. She pulled her other dagger out of the ground leaving her sword. ~I no longer like swords~ she thought as she got on alduin's back and left

Leaning forward in the saddle, Scott rested his head agains Cao's neck "Soooooo....." The dragon growled "How about the girl?" Scott glared at him lightly "Firstly, we are at war. Not a great time to be thinking about those things. Second, she's a Faulker. Lastly, I am too tired to be talking to you about this so, hush and don't drop me. I mean it this time." He closed his eyes and soon drifted off to sleep, where as Cao just rumbled in amusement and steadied his flight to not wake Scott.

They crossed the border and went home, she slid off alduin's back and entered her house to see her older brother. "Where have you been" he growled getting off the chair and walking tword her. "No where, and don't you have a job to get to?" She asked pushing him then being grabbed "you have crossed the border, I can smell the scum from your clothing" he growled pulling her hair. "I WAS DOING MY JOB!" She yelled kicking him in the face.

Once they neared the small cave that Cao and Scott called home, the golden dragon shook his shoulders, waking the once fast asleep boy. He sat up drowsily and then jumped off as soon as they landed. Unbuckling Cao's saddle, he slid it off the dragon's shoulders and set it down on a rock next to his bed. Cao gave the boy a nod before taking off into the night to hunt. Scott would have to be on his own for a little bit, but that was okay. He took the time to wash up and change out of his armor into a simple tunic and dark trousers. He ran a hand over his chin and sighed when he felt the light stubble. It was too dark to shave at the moment, so he simply climbed into bed and waited for sleep to come.

Jade then ran out of his reach and ran outside to Alduin. Her brothers dragon, serpant, gave her a growl. "Alduin we need to leave" she said as her brother ran out running tword her. "JADE!" Aden yelled as he watched her get onto Alduin. He ran to his dragon to stop her, "Jade! You had better not go back across the border!" He yelled "WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO GO CRY TO DAD!" She yelled flying off clinging to Alduin as they flew off

As he soared over the dark, foaming sea, Cao was quite peaceful. Every so often he would dive under the water, catching fish or just having fun, after all it was his 'break time' so he would make the most of it. Thinking back as he skimmed the surface of the water, he tried to recall some of the details from the early encounter. He remembered the main confrontation, but there was also another dragon and rider, a female dragon this time and he couldn't remember the name. Shrugging he went on catching fish.

They had crossed the border to hide knowing her brother was Afrade to. Her and Alduin landed in the forest. "Alduin why is he so mean to me" she said clinging to him as he layed down, then she slid off and took alduin's saddle off to lay on. Alduin gave a low growl hearing jades brother and dragon roar in anger. "Kalansant" (it's only a matter of time) he said looking at her and laying his head beside her.

While he flew back to the cave, belly properly full, Cao suddenly came to a stop, his nose twitching. The scent was familiar, and he realized with a start that it was the dragon and rider that Scott had let escape only hours earlier. What are they doing less than 2 miles from our cave? He thought to himself, but decided to go down and greet them anyway. He landed in the grass softly near them "Alduin?" He called "What are you doing here?"

Alduin raised his head and looked at the other dragon then back to Jade "keniosretn ves vertin" (her older brother and his scum of a dragon chased us out of the house.) he said looking at him. He looked at Jade as she had finally fell asleep, the read streaks on her face where she had cried herself to sleep still bright. He layed his head back down and looked up at the golden dragon.

Rose was back on the tower, scanning the kingdom. Glory nudged Rose and pointed to the sun, which was dipping towards the horizon. "Do you want to do night shift." Rose asked, although she knew the answer. The Dragon nodded, her scales turning an excited golden color, with flashes of Rosy pink happiness. Rose didn't know why, but she and the Dragon both loved the night. That's why they had become night guards, patrolling the castle hallways with only torch light and moonlight to guide them. Rose climbed down while Glory followed, slowing flying down.

Cao studied the pair for a moment, his eyes flickering from the dark dragon to the sleeping girl. He nodded slowly before approaching and picking her up gently like before, but this time he placed her on Alduin's back "Come on, it's not safe out here at night. You guys can stay with Scott and me." He then took off, waiting for Alduin for a few seconds before flying the few minutes to the cave, where Scott was still sitting in bed. He was now playing with a small piece of leather and his hunting knife, carving out neat swirls and designs.

Alduin followed him and looked at Scott but didn't say anything. He fled Jade sliding a bit off his back and pushed her back up with his snout looking back at Scott. Flicking his tail to where it had landed beside him and laughed a bit before following cao again "granserntarl varsethsend?" (How is it dangerous?) he asked looking at him

Scott looked up in surprise when not only Cao returned from his nightly rounds, but also the Faulker and her dragon. He swung his legs out of the bed and watched the dark dragon with a frown. "Cao what's going on?" He asked warily, eyeing the girl who was now asleep on her dragon's back. It must have been uncomfortable in the position she was in, so he picked her up off the dragon carefully before lightly placing her on his bed, pulling the covers over her shoulder. Cao smirked, but answered anyways "They are being hunted and it is not safe for them to stay out at night. Remember what happened to John?" The dragon growled, referring to the rider who was mauled to death and his dragon went into permanent shock so they were unable to figure out what attacked them. Scott nodded slowly "Alright. They can stay."

Scott picked up his leather and knife again, staring at the swirls and ridges on the tanned hide "One of my sparring buddies John. Still don't know what killed him. His dragon Diantes hasn't spoken a word since the incident, she stayed holed up in the ward all day and night." He then looked up at the dragon with dark eyes "I vowed to slaughter whatever had killed him, but nothing yet." Cao got up from his resting place on the floor and dragged a large wooden door made up of several trees across the cave entrance. "We have to close the cave off every night to prevent being killed off in the night" the dragon growled and then lumbered over to a small hollow in the ground that was filled with sticks. He blew a small flame onto the pile, waiting patiently for them to catch fire.

Alduin sat down and nodded he looked at his foot and pulled a splinter out of it setting it back down looking at the sticks. "Erindos ves sanid?" (Do you need help?) he asked looking at cao walking over to him with smoke starting to come from his nose. Jade sat up and looked at Alduin "Alduin?" She asked looking to see where they where and saw Scott. She jumped a bit standing up looking at him and to his dragon.

Cao shook his head lightly "No, I can handle it." He then looked over at Scott who was sitting against the rocky wall opposite from the bed, watching the girl sleep. Then as she woke, he held his stare, watching for a reaction. It wasn't everyday that he met a girl from the other side of the border, and this was the first time that one had taken residence with him and slept in his bed "Welcome back sleeping beauty" he teased lightly, but his face remained emotionless as he watched her. She jumped out of the bed slightly and said her dragon's name quietly. "Alduin... Your name is Alduin?" He said, turning to the dragon with a questioning look on his face.

Rolling his eyes at her nickname, Scott stood and walked over to the fire that Cao now had burning brightly. He dug around in his chests for a minute, searching for food before coming back with some dried beef strips. "You're here because Cao felt it was unwise for you to stay outside at night. He was right." he said with a small grimace, trying not to imagine the day that John's body was found. "Beef strip?" Scott held a piece out to her with a sheepish smile. "So, I know your dragon's name. Now what's yours?"

Baldwin laughed scooting to the side making her fall hearing a thud. "Zeniisertin" (oops my bad) he laughed walking by cao "tarensedon" (you have to admit that was good) he laughed looking at him

Cao rolled his eyes, trying to hide a smile. This young dragon was the break he needed from being so serious. He then bent over to pick up Jade and set her back up on her feet. "Alright Ms. Jade, you can tell me your story tomorrow. I need some rest." He gave her a smile before pulling an extra blanket out from a chest next to the wall before climbing up onto Cao's shoulders. Settling down quickly, Scott ran a hand through his hair, and almost cringed when he felt the short part, he would have to cut the rest in the morning, but for now he simply laid down in the small dip between his dragon's shoulders, pulling the blanket up to his chin. Cao closed his eyes slowly, but then opened them again, rekindling the fire for a few seconds to redistribute the heat in the cave.

Jade let out a yawn then looked at cao and walked over to the bad laying back down as Alduin layed beside it. She ran her hand across his head feeling his slick scales before falling asleep, and felt alduin's tail lay ontop of her and pushing the blankets over her. Alduin smiled a bit looking at her enjoying her worm skin and layed his head beside her on the bed and fell asleep aswell.

Scott Anthony and Cao
After almost an hour of just laying on Cao, Scott finally fell asleep. Then he was woken what seemed like minutes later by the light of the rising sun. He groaned and rolled off the now asleep golden dragon and onto his feet. The crisp morning air was chilly and nipped at his fingers, so he quickly tended to the still warm embers of last night's fire. Once he was warm Scott trudged over to the small mirror that he had hidden against the back wall, pulling out his razor and his knife. Minutes later he was cleanly shaved and his hair was now short and spikey as he kicked the cut hair towards the outside.

Jade sat up and squinted sleepily as a suns Ray Hirt her in the eyes. She blocked the sun with her hand and looked at Alduin who was still asleep. She shook his head lightly as he sat up looking at her, she gave a half asleep smile and got up. Alduin watched her stand up and looked over to Scott who had cut his hair and laughed a bit as Jade turned around a bit surprised at him. "Your- hair looks better now" she said walking over to him

Scott smirked "Why thank you M'lady. It took some thought to actually commit to it." he chuckled slightly to himself "But you helped me make the decision." he pointed to the patch that was still slightly shorter than the rest of the hair on his head from where she had thrown the knife at him. "Also my cut is starting to bother me, so I'm going to have to go into town to get some medicine. You can stick around with Cao."

She laughed a bit "I know how to even it out to make it look like it was never there" she looked at the spot then to him. Alduin walked over to them grabbing Jade by the back of the shirt and layed down and holding her down with his front foot and licking her. "Alduin cut it out" she laughed trying to get out from under him and pushing on his foot looking at Scott "help?" She squeaked as she was licked in the face again "Alduin-- air!" She said blocking his face from hers

Scott watched as Alduin tackled her and smirked "Sorry M'lady, I must take my leave and go to the market place. Maybe Cao can help you?" he said gesturing to the sound asleep dragon whom he knew would take quite an effort to wake. Giving a slight wave he exited the cave via small door within the large one that covered the entrance. Scott then took the long and winding path down the side of the mountain as he headed towards the nearest village, less than 5 miles away. They were bound to have some ointment somewhere in the marketplace.

She got out from under Alduin and ran behind cao to hide from him. She shook the Goldman dragon seeing if he would wake up "come on you freeking ray of joy wake up!" She laughed a bit as Alduin accidentally rammed into him trying to stop. Alduin landed on the other side of cao and  flicked his tail hitting Jade "cut it out" she laughed pushing his tail away as he shook his head and smoke started coming from his nose.

Cao growled in his sleep, kicking Jade away lightly before curling back up into a ball, tucking his head under his tail. Cao never had been the easiest to wake, he often slept until noon before Scott was able to get him out of the cave. Smoke began to rise from the dragon's nostrils and his neck twitched before he blew a small stream of flame onto the fire pit. He was positioned so that as he slept, when he let out occasional jets of fire, the flames would reignite only the fire in the pit and not the rest of the cave.

"What if I poped you back, how would you like it" she poped Alduin in the snout. Alduin shook his head not liking the pop and poped her back. He smirked a bit and poped cao with his tail "Alduin that's not a good idea" Jade laughed  looking at him hoping cao would do something. She ran to the other side of the cave to stay out of the way.
