Whenever I'm on a lioness looking for a pride, I'm huge compared to the other lioness's. I'm a decent size next to the males, but the females... are CUB sized compared to the male.
I ask them why, every single one either says, "I'm a dwarf lion." "I'm the runt of my litter." or "Everyone else does it, I want to fit in."
Then I guess every single lioness besides me is a dwarf or the runt, because that's what they always say.
I ask a tiny lioness why they are always small, and she said, 'It's more feminine to be smaller as a lioness." if you think about it, that's pretty stereotypical. Think about it. Its basically saying that all females are tiny. Plus, they claim the pride is "realistic" when there is really no tiny lioness's other than cubs in the wild!
I discussed this at SB and someone said, "If it bothers you that much, just be smaller." That's not the case. I'm trying to be decent here, when the other lioness's are TINY.
I really have nothing else to say, I was getting my feelings out here. Plus, if the mods think this is offending anyone, which I wasn't trying to, they can lock it. If you disagree with this, tell me why.

Oh yeah I see where you are coming from. Many users seem to grossly exaggerate the size difference between adult males and females in this game. This isn't just the case with lions but also wolves. There are times where I see a mated pair of wolves where the female is ridiculously smaller than the male. In real life adult female wolves as well as lionesses aren't that much smaller than the males. There's something very disturbing about the size differences. Even if they were runts etc they still wouldn't be so unbelievably small next to a male.

Whenever I go looking for a pride (I prefer wolf packs) I am always a lioness but I make her with a mane since that can actually happen irl. But I have trouble since "realistic" prides wont let me join unless I removed it, even though I explain in the character's bio about it. It kinda bugs me since I'm just trying to be creative but aparantly a lioness with a mane is "too unrealistic". So... yeah you can guess why I prefer wolf rps.

Wow, I totally agree with you.
EVERYTIME I'm at SB and a pride is recruiting, you'll always find at least one small-ish looking lioness
that claims they are full grown in RP.
It bothers me in a way because how is that being realistic?
It's all about "being different" but at this rate, being the "normal" size is considered "different".
Bleh
And I also don't agree with the male lions who make themselves abnormally big just to look the "biggest and toughest".
This brings me to another issue that has occurred to me many times in-game.
RPing is not all about "finding a mate"
It appears that all the time people are constantly joining RP's just for the number of males/females in the pride,
as if that's what all a RP is about. But it's not.
RPing is about..Well.. ROLE-PLAYING. xD
I was recruiting for a pride a few days ago and when I asked a lioness I noticed sitting at Stone Bridge they said, (and I quote)
"Is your pride made up of homosexuals? They're aren't any males listed in the pride."

Aww yeah, i get where you're coming from. It tends to get a bit annoying. because they seem to be cub-sized, and in reality Lionesses are smaller then males... But not that smaller. In fact, ithappens in a variety of Ro groups, Wolf packs tend to have a few females like that, not as much, but still. I think if you actually want to be realisticlioness, unlike what those dwarves are claiming, try not to be the size of a large house-cat. Heck, most of the Warrior cats out there are bigger than the Lionesses.
Heh, and then there's the ones who aren't much beefier than a broom stick.

Yes, I know what you mean. Even from my little cub angle, I can see 'full grown realistic' lionesses not that many inches from my size! Seriously! And I hate when those lionesses say that they were the runt, as an excuse. Runts are 'alittle' overused.
I can't wait until there is a full-grown lioness that is my height. I agree, most lionesses out there are broomsticks. Maybe even the thinnest type of hay sticks. What the heck, Feral Hearters. And besides, why do you have to be the runt? I personally don't like runts, or attention beggars. Tch.
or mate beggars. They suck.

I'm surprised someone actually agrees with me! But I'm a little offended by the "skinny" type, since my lioness is kind of thin. I'll be sure to make my lioness a little bigger.

Sadly many of these stereotypes seem to fit into most societies expectation of woman or feminine beauty. Although all of that is a load of poop since people are beauty in all shapes, colors, and sizes I think this issue comes down to that. It's rare to see users creating large female characters with "masculine" features. Everyone seems to think that the moment something is female it must be drastically smaller in frame to a male. In nature we all know that is not the law in most cases. Sadly in this game some people still fall into falling feminine stereotypes.

You know....I have to keep a look out for this now, I don't notice this a lot BUT on Bonfire whilst I was RPing, I saw a massive female with a full blown mane, and I thought: hey! Good for you! Being different!
And when people looked at her weird or questioned she said that her char had a lot of testosterone, more than the average female. How neat huh? But I will definitely keep a look out if I go to SB, 'cause now I'm curious.

I've been avoiding this all day for a reason that upsets me, which I will state. As sura said, it is grossly exagerated that females are ants compares to males, well their not. If you go on google and look at a size chart, the females are not at all that far off of the males size/height. I feel if your character was the runt, it's fine but if a whole pride is made of runts, something must be wrong. I don't mean to sound blunt, but I think it's quite stupid to make a ant sized character compared to another(Whisper is so not included in dis like a bawz) Like the whole 'Mate Based Rp' thing, roleplay isn't about getting a mate, it's about having fun and getting to know others. Hope this dosn't offend you guys, but, I had to.

I don't normally role-play lions - or animals for that matter - however, I do see this "stereotypical" lioness (I say it like this, as there isn't exactly a stereotype for lionesses in real life besides the no mane thing) a lot in Bonfire - which normally stand out (to me, atleast), because I'll see them standing on the large cliff formation next to a male, and their sizes are on completely different scales. The male was the largest he could be, and the lioness was the smallest. I didn't say too much to either one, as I don't often speak out in Local (unless one of my friends, or more, is around and wanting to talk to me via Local), but I did ask - not word for word, because this was a while ago - this question: "Why are you so small?"
She seemed a bit offended for some reason, and she told me: "Because I'm a GIRL! Are you blind or something?" I shut up after that, and went towards Lonely Cave (I'm actually almost always there now, because I feel a bit embarrassed about my characters' designs) to contemplate on facing her again. I felt awkward, but I guess that was just me.
Do you see my point though, even though it was practically a useless ramble that took us virtually nowhere?
It's amazing if you think about it. How real life actually took toll in a video game. As Sura mentioned about the "beautiful type" of women that we would only see in magazines and, maybe, television (if it's not live) - however, that isn't the only beautiful type of women. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but due to teenagers (sometimes even younger children!) and adults getting harassed for not being "beautiful enough", this has become the norm - don't you agree, though?
Well, that's enough rambling from me.
