Title: Can't Download: Malicious File?
Post by: Megan189 on July 19, 2014, 01:50:11 am
I downloaded FeralHeart on 2 other computers with the same browser, Google Chrome, and it worked fine. Suddenly, on this new computer, Google Chrome claims the files are "malicious", and tells me I'm downloading either hacked or corrupted material, and I'm going to put a virus on my computer if I download.

I'm not sure what to do, as I'm not going to risk my brand new computer's health trying to obtain the game. Should I wait it out or...? Someone help, I really want to play. :(

This happened to me and I was unable to download the game just recently, but I believe I fixed it by going into Settings for Google Chrome, scrolling down until you see  the Privacy section. Untick "Enable phishing and malware protection" and probably "Send suspicious downloaded files to Google" as well. I'm not too exactly sure, but I believe this may help.

Switching your browser should solve the issue. Mozilla Firefox is what most people use for problems like these, and many have gone on without anymore complaints. I just wouldn't use Internet Explorer, though... rumours have been going around about a virus lurking around in it.
However, feral heart is completely virus-free, and once you switch browsers everything should be A-okay.

Sometimes you need to download Feral Heart on different browsers even if they worked before on the browser.
