Title: Glitches?

so i think it was yesterday or so that reg opened
a friend of mine wanted an account, she typed in the username she wanted, but it said the username was taken, we then checked the site by "searching a member" and searched the username she wanted and it said there was no user by that name and yet it wouldnt let her register it?

as well as i also noticed a glitch that when you type a user in to register sometimes it tells you its not taken, then when you click to register it glitches and says its taken? o.0

Someone might already have the username- the reason you can't see it there is because you only see the forum nickname when you search members. Only moderators have access to viewing usernames. If it popped up and no results came up, I'm not sure what it could be doing.

I'm not sure why it does that for the second glitch. ^^ Maybe someone else will know.

yeah although every time i check to see if a username is taken IF it is taken it comes up with there forum nickname
if its not it just says there was no matches
and thats what my friend got it said there was no matches what so ever and yet it didnt let her use it saying it was taken o.0

Aye, people can be searched by Username as well.
In any case, the user might have been something that was taken and then the account was deleted, but the site might still think it's taken.
Have your friend just try to make their user a little more unique?
And also don't copy/paste anything from anywhere, I've noticed that that makes the reg freak out a little bit, for me anyway. ;o

well it was a unique username she had thought of thats apparently taken yet the site is saying its not, must just be that it is and glitched or that it was deleted but still thinks its not o.0 pitty...

and we never copy/paste things we always type it in

Aye, sometimes it just takes some messing around with, but I'm sure you'll get it eventually.
I suppose if it doesn't work out at any point, you might have to contact a staff member to see what's up, though I don't think there's really a "fix," for this. ;u;
