I don't know really what to call this. It's sort of rant/complaint thing.
So today, I was advertising for my clan. And a person that shall not be named said in local "I like cookies."
One of my clan-mates decided to talk to him and say "AREN'T THEY GREAT?!" In local too.
So after a while, I asked him if he wanted to join, listing out the many features of my clan.
He declined saying "I don't join clans who are illiterate."
Wait- But, what? I said that we are experienced roleplayers. I pointed this out to him and he replied with "One of your clan-members were spamming caps, that's how I know you guys are illiterate."
He said 'Aren't they great?!' in capitals, that was NOT spamming.
I explained this to him and he continued on about it.
I'd like to get something through, just because someone doesn't like to talk with perfect grammar OOC or decided to use capitals does NOT mean we are 'illiterate.'
I'm sorry if I offended anbody or confused anybody. Not a very good explainer over here.

People like that really piss me off at times, but it can't be helped. Fh, sadly, has a reputation for people like that :/ Sucks though, but it's best to just ignore them, it's what I do.
-
Two words for that guy... Just, why? Surely your clanmate was just using caps to emphasize that they also like cookies, and they also had perfect grammar, even with the caps. Oh, and now you're saying they're illiterate because of them?
(Incoming Rage ._.)
Just because ONE PERSON seems to be "Illiterate" to you, THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE WHOLE CLAN IS ILLITERATE. Use your head, like dang! And even more-
*Vida forcefully pulls me away from the thread*
Sorry if that offended anyone. I guess this also ticks Sandy off, too.

Oh yeah, I hate people like that. I consider myself literate but when I'm OOC Itypelikethisandsuch and yeah I have had people say "Oh you dont use space so you are illiterate." it drives me up the wall.
-
Ignore him. There is a big chance that he was trying to troll you.
-
I can see why this angers you. Honestly, some users around FeralHeart need to be slapped with a banana. I bet that the user you tried to reason with knew they were wrong; They just didn't wish to admit it. I've seen plenty of peopel continue pointless arguments just because they were to prideful to say that they made a mistake. But I digress. If he truly didn't think he was wrong, then he obviously has the wrong definition of what "illiterate" is.
-
Seems like you took the troll bait.
-
He has the wrong definition of illiterate. He's starting a pointless argument with your group, the best thing to do is just ignore him.
-
Seems like this user needs a lesson about judging- or not judging I should say. Obviously you seem to have a very literate group and for him to just insult it like that is rude. Everyone likes to derp around OOC, I know I do XD. Honestly, if someone is going to be like that, they shouldn't even get the privilege to join your noticeable fabulous group! So he can go and find people that are "literate" enough for him because you, my darling, are perfect!

Yes~ what Dionysus said.

I don't even use proper capitalization when I'm OoC, which is why so many people claim that I'm illiterate; complete and utter strangers have tried to correct me about my capitalization and tried to explain how I was being "too illiterate". -Slight huff-
Anyway, back on topic. I don't understand how one person, whom only exclaimed about their love of cookies (which are pretty great), would be considered illiterate, anyway. 'How?' is my question. It was only three words; three words doesn't make you illiterate - besides, if he had played the game long enough to know that there are actual illiterate people (atleast a younger audience that doesn't know any better) / trolls / etc. within this game, he wouldn't have spoken in Local. His reply was pretty harsh, if I may as well, as, again, it was only one person who spoke, not the entire Clan themselves.
It's kinda redundant if you ask me.

One person's criticism doesn't make your clan member, or the whole clan, illiterate. They aren't at all illiterate by what I've heard from you. I don't understand why he would target your clan. *sigh* There's just some people who cause arguments on FH... :-/
I like cookies too.
